Mima Peru in Mannheim

Service was nice - a bit forgetful - there was a dessert instead. Very loud in the front area, much more pleasant in the back. Food was good - a little too expensive. It would be good to ask from time to time if you would like to order something else.

This was our second time there and definitely not the last time, very good service and very good food. We are more than satisfied.

Very nice, not very large restaurant with the opportunity to sit outside. However, it is rather inconveniently located, right on a main road. Very ambitious staff who explain everything well. The food was great, expensive but reasonable. We had various starters as recommended, then Lomo Saltado and Ceviche Nikkei

We found this by chance. This should be the most famous restaurant in Mannheim. I was blown away with the quality and presentation of the food. This was my first time in a Peruvian restaurant and unfortunately I live 500 miles away. Do not miss this gem if you are in Mannheim.

The service is very good, friendly, communicative, attentive, quick. The food is very tasty and very nicely presented. The ambience is appropriate, a bit noisy because of the street. The prices are basically ok if the portions were larger. Despite a small starter and entrecote as the main course, we left the restaurant still hungry. This is very unsatisfactory and somehow a shame, hence only the 3 stars.

The food is really very good, with very interesting combinations in terms of taste. Also beautifully presented. But: the portions are for the hollow tooth, you shouldn't go here if you're really hungry. The prices are pretty steep. We would still come back, see above.

The restaurant is absolutely recommended! The food, service and ambience are outstanding. Drinks were also really tasty, whether with or without alcohol. Definitely coming more often! Suggestion for improvement: The pricing for drinks and main courses is reasonable and worth every euro! Great quality and definitely to the point. The prices for the starters, on the other hand, are not in proportion (3 croquetas = €15) - maybe think again. For all guests arriving by car: the parking situation is catastrophic, so be sure to leave early.

Relaxed atmosphere, very nice service. In our group of six, we tried a wide variety of Peruvian specialties across the menu. Everyone was very satisfied, especially since there were often unusual and new flavor nuances to discover (the only slight criticism was the scallop, which had a bit of its own flavor and was steamed with gratinated cheese). The aperitif drinks such as Pisco Sour or Lima Mule were also met with enthusiasm. And the view from the window of the Jungbusch Bridge is also something... ;-) There are also plenty of outdoor spaces in the summer. Definitely a recommendation for a more unusual dining experience in Mannheim.

Since it is one of the few in the region, there is great anticipation. Highly priced, but because the young man from the service successfully demonstrated his knowledge and the products were really good, it gets four stars. Overall a pleasant and relaxed experience, a bit cramped due to the location. Definitely recommended at the moment.

Food was very tasty. However, the choice of place is crucial to how comfortable the evening is. There is a draft at the door and it is extremely loud near the counter. All in all, a nice shop. Prices are sometimes a bit too high.

The food was a poem. You feel like you're in South America. The food was so delicious that you have to slowly savor each bite. Even a side dish, like rice, is so delicately prepared that you can go there just for that. The civeche (starter) was also very tasty and even vegetarian dishes were prepared with incredible love. The service was very nice and explained the dishes well. The Latin American music and the stylish furnishings made the atmosphere perfect. Simply MEGA

Heard and read so many positive things, finally tested it myself: Perfect! Friendly, open, pleasant atmosphere (the only negative point: the noise of the traffic); the food: bombastically delicious, interesting to read on the menu, tempting after a more detailed explanation and the enjoyment is indescribable! Insanely delicious food! Service was very nice, definitely again!

We were at mima Peru for the first time yesterday and were really looking forward to celebrating July 28th with you. A 5 course menu was offered for €58 per person. Unfortunately it was only a 3-course menu because dear people, a greeting from the kitchen which consisted of a maki and an intermediate course which was a tiny chicha sorbet are not courses. Then we get 3 courses for 58€ which is really steep considering the small portions. We reserved our table for 5 p.m. and more than half an hour passed between courses. Maybe there was a little too much pisco sour over the counter that day… The food itself was tasty and of good quality but unfortunately we were still disappointed. With a journey of over 1 hour, we won't have to do that anymore. A pity

Here you can get the tastiest pisco sour and the best ceviche! Nice service in a relaxed atmosphere. Rather expensive in price.

Mima is totally worth it. There were two of us and we ended up eating three main courses, so incredibly good.

Very friendly service, the food and the selection of dishes are very clear. Quality and price performance match. Reservations via the Internet work without any problems. The restaurant seems to be well received by guests. We would like to have a restaurant like this in Wiesbaden or Mainz. It will be an enrichment for the cities.

Extremely tasty, great service, great drinks

Although the restaurant is not that big, we were in very good hands here with a group of 20+. The arrangements in advance were smooth and short-term changes were responded to without any problems. The choice of menu (vegi, entrecote or octopus) was very tasty and everyone found something that suited them. We were also offered a cheap water package, which was just right on the hot day. The two lemonades are also extremely tasty and totally refreshing in the heat. The service was very friendly and reliable. Depending on how large the group is, you should definitely reserve in advance.

Nikkei was excellent, clássico a bit too salty and overall quite small portions for the price.

We were very enthusiastic about the food. Not only was the taste great, but also the very beautiful way the food was prepared and presented. The service was also great, as the dishes were explained to us in detail. Even if you sit outside on a fairly noisy street, you still have a pleasant experience. Definitely worth a visit!!!

Modern, small, clear map You are sitting directly on a main road, which is of course correspondingly louder. Parking is a little more difficult in the immediate area. The menu obviously contains typical Peruvian dishes. Quite expensive in terms of price. We had a business meal there with several people and had a variety of starters to choose from. Most of them were really excellent - something for every taste (marinated tuna, cassava, mashed potatoes, chicken kebabs, pickled fish, etc). The general selection is manageable, but sufficient. The main courses tasted excellent. In my opinion, the prawns with rice were far too few (5) for a main course.

You might wonder about the great reviews. They are not fake. Such nice service even one girl serving perfectly alone 12 tables. The Pisco Sour is perfect - like in Peru - the starter wonderful and the main meat even better. They have Peruvian wine, beer dessert - everything you would expect. I will come back and we’re lucky to get a table just passing by. Secret tip.

We ate at Mima Peru and ordered a classic ceviche. For this purpose, we ordered, among other things, the larger portion for 5 EUR more (i.e. 20 EUR!). Unfortunately, this portion was also extremely small and I wondered how small the normal portion would be. Of course I understand that quality has its price and that special attention must be paid to fresh ingredients, but 20 EUR for what feels like three spoons is very expensive. The main courses were also very small. If you think that the steep prices for the food are just necessary, you haven't realized the drink prices yet. There's obviously a lot going on here. The soft drinks like Coca Cola are only available in 0.2L with a hefty price of EUR 3.50. This corresponds to a liter price of EUR 17.50. CLEAN! But the real kicker is the mineral water. 750ml costs EUR 6.50 here. With a bottle of San Pellegrino, for example, I would be able to understand that. In Mima Peru, however, TAP WATER (which is of course "filtered") is served and carbonated (as you know from home with a soda stream). Sorry, but selling it as “premium water” is really cheeky. In any case, we got up hungry after our visit and ate something else somewhere else. Conclusion: 1. Food expensive, but very tasty. 2. Drinks outrageous. We won't be able to recommend it and unfortunately we won't be coming back :-(

A new opening in the city. Really nice place, but narrow and tiny. Excellent service! And really good food. We had a very good time and taste different dishes. The servings are large enough and very creative, served with an eye for harmony. I do recommend.

Excellent but very expensive! I understand that the good quality is useful, you can clearly tell. But maybe the portions can be enlarged a bit somehow. There are so many different Pisco Sours, I had Lima Mule with Ginger (9/10) very refreshing, delicious. We had Pulpo Ceviche (8.8/10) and Urubamba (8.5/10) as starters, we liked both very much, amazing combination of taste that I don't know, but as I said they were very small. There was really only a few pulp and beef, I think you just couldn't share one. And for the main course we had Lomo Saltado (8.9/10) High quality meat, perfectly fried, rice was also very tasty. For bedside we had Mima Alfajor (9/10) a typical Peruvian cake, I love it! The shop is small, you sit very close together, but it's still nice. The employee who was there was very friendly. You can pay by card and definitely make a reservation!

The dishes all tasted very good and authentic. The prices are of course a little higher considering that some ingredients have to be imported, but that's perfectly fine.

We were greeted very friendly and shown to our table. The service is friendly, competent and unobtrusive, but there if you want something or have questions. Special requests were responded to professionally and we were helped. (Is that possible without xy?!? Yes, of course, let’s make it fresh, we can prepare it without it) The cocktails (pisco sour) were very good and definitely not small. Our starters are all beautiful to look at and so delicious! The main courses were equally delicious, freshly prepared, and the house ravioli with grilled octopus was sensational. The timing: perfect, no breaks that were too long, the four of us received our courses at the same time. The four of us had a very nice evening and felt completely comfortable. Tip: Make a reservation - it was fully booked again!

The restaurant is well decorated and cozy. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is well presented and made with good ingredients. I give it 4 stars because in my opinion the restaurant is losing its Peruvian identity. I was there two years ago (as I live far away I cannot visit the restaurant often) and my experience eating there was different, so much so that it was inevitable to visit the restaurant this time I was in Mannheim. I was surprised that there is no "Chicha Morada or Maracuyá" on the menu as drinks, nor that there is no "canchita" on the table. Neither does "Leche Tigre" and "Papa a la Huancaína", not to mention many other basic dishes of Peruvian food. There are many "fusion" dishes on the menu, which I think are fine, but I think the essence should not be lost. Still, it is a place to go to eat with German friends. Perhaps, having Peruvian music as a background, a Canchita on the table, Inca fabrics as a tablecloth and staff (at least 1), who speaks and knows about Peruvian food would give a plus.

We had just finished eating and wanted to chat over some delicious drinks (drinks were still half full) and were informed that we had to leave soon as the next reservation was coming up.

Amazingly authentic Peruvian food (says a Peruvian). The fish was also very good, which is not always the case when you are far from the sea. A bit pricey but definitely worth it. Lomo saltado is super tasty too.

Everything is very good. The food (causa, civice and fish soup) was extremely tasty and well made, also very good looking. Pisco sour is also very good. Nothing to complain about, definitely recommended.
