My favorite restaurant. Superb food, beautiful interior design, and great service. Always worth the money.

The food and menu are still fantastic, but it's a shame you still don't accept card payments. I know it's Germany, but we live in the 21st century, and the restaurant isn't exactly cheap. The excuse about the broken card reader is truly disrespectful.

There were two of us, and we received a very warm welcome and were shown to our table. The food was exceptionally delicious and of very high quality. Sushi lovers will definitely find something to their liking here. The concept and the ordering system are also excellent. A clear recommendation. We will be back!

The Mikado restaurant is one of the best sushi restaurants in Koblenz! The sushi is always fresh and delicious, the atmosphere is cozy, and the service is fast and friendly. Mikado Sushi & Grill in Koblenz is a real experience! The food was okay. BUT – and here comes the big but – the waiter, Basit, totally put it all into perspective! This sweet Habib saved the whole evening with his charm, his smile, and his manner. Honestly, Basit is the true star of Mikado. Without him, it might have just been "okay" – with him, it was a highlight! The bottom line: Come for the sushi, stay for Basit.

One of the best Japanese restaurants in the entire area! Whether it's the ambiance or the food, Mikado simply blows me away every time I visit! The variety and quality offered here is rare and a must for any Japan or sushi fan! Patrick (Steve Harrington) is the best server I know!

Update 5 September 2025. It's not my first time here, and the services were always nice. Except for one lady with black hair and glasses (Miss Tr) who order us to give all the dirty dishes with "ALLES, ALLES" like we're a beggar. Other waitress and waitresses are nice.

We were recommended Mikado, and we used it as our wedding anniversary visit and were given a table for two. Unfortunately, it's really small, made even more difficult by the large wooden box containing the menus. Service is via tablet. I thought the tablet was kind of cool, but I also felt pressured to keep choosing and ordering food, as you're limited in how often and how much you can eat. The length of stay is also limited to two hours. Some of the food was really delicious, and the mochi ice cream (which costs extra) was also very tasty. However, I've enjoyed some of the food much better at other restaurants, and it was very soggy here. The service staff was very friendly, but they never wiped the table, even though there were small pieces of rice lying around from the partially disintegrated sushi with sauce. Instead, they simply placed new plates on top of these leftovers, which resulted in a somewhat sticky table. The ambiance is actually nice, but loud and very dark.

I've eaten there three times now, and each time it's been delicious. The service is very friendly, and the food is delicious and fresh.

We sent back one course because it just wasn't our cup of tea, but that wasn't a problem at all; all the servers were quick and friendly. The price for the food is reasonable in my opinion, but the house sodas are quite expensive. For two people, you can certainly expect to spend around €100 for the evening.

Too expensive and limited selection. The food was mostly lightly reheated, like duck or beef. The restrooms were really bad. Definitely never again. There were six of us, and no one was satisfied.

We've been to Mikado twice so far. Once as a couple and once with our children (11 and 12). I should say upfront that we rarely eat fish, are partly vegetarian, and the children are also rather picky eaters. One visit was during the week, the other during peak time on the weekend. In any case, it's a good idea to make a reservation, days in advance for the weekend, and sometimes 2-3 hours in advance during the week. We were all happy at Mikado. The selection, especially in the evenings, is truly fantastic! There's something for everyone. The vegetarian and chicken sushi were absolutely excellent both times. The grilled dishes, salads, and desserts are also delicious and offer a wide selection. The service is perfect. Everyone is very friendly, and you never have to wait long for the food. Sometimes individual dishes take 10 minutes, but by then you've already had many other dishes, since you can order five dishes per person per round. We often shared sushi, so everyone could try a variety. We are absolutely convinced by the concept. We really enjoyed every dish. The quality here is absolutely convincing. Prices are quite expensive in the evenings, especially on weekends. However, since it's an all-you-can-eat option, the prices are just about acceptable for the quality and selection. Two hours is enough; 2.5 hours would be a bit more pleasant, but two hours are enough. What we find expensive are the drink prices, although, to be honest, they're hardly different from those of other restaurants. For four people and two drinks each, the price quickly reaches €40, although we didn't try the homemade lemonades. At €7 or €8, these are unfortunately too expensive in my opinion. (I had one the first time, and it was tasty, but not worth the price.) The noise level depends on where you sit; if you sit directly in front of the bar, it's a bit louder, but you can still have a conversation. Otherwise, it's quieter. We will definitely go back.

I went on a date there with my boyfriend for dinner and it was great, the food was delicious and service was very good. If you are a seafood lover I'd totally recommend it to you. Its just pricey but obviously its seafood and we are in Germany but it is worth every penny

Fair price for the quality and amount of food. We underestimated the amount of food for the all you can eat menu, so we were a bit too full in the end 😂. Very kind people and great service. I advise to make a reservation beforehand, would definitely recommend!

The restaurant is easily accessible in downtown Koblenz. A table should be reserved in advance, especially on weekends. Overall, the restaurant seemed clean and tidy. Only the restrooms were extremely dirty during our visit. The all-you-can-eat menu is worth a visit, but the sushi isn't suitable for vegetarians. Unfortunately, the sushi always comes mixed, so the fish often lay halfway on top of the vegetarian dishes. My request to separate the fish and vegetarian dishes was ignored, as it would likely have been impossible in the kitchen. This unfortunately limited the food considerably, and given the rather high price, I would have appreciated some accommodation.

If you like sushi, you'll love Mikado. The food and service are top-notch. The all-you-can-eat option, with the tablet at the table, is absolutely fantastic. The prices are on the high side, but it's simply brilliant and super fast. The ambiance is also good; the furniture is a bit dated and could use a renovation. What annoyed me (and this has nothing to do with the restaurant itself) was the guy at the next table who spent an hour and a half loudly blaring his finances across the restaurant. Anyone, absolutely anyone, can now trade Bitcoin after your performance. I've rarely seen such an unpleasant person as you.

Mikado is one of my favorite restaurants in Koblenz. Delicious sushi and seafood from the grill, with new dishes every now and then. I've been here many times and will continue to come. Dinner is a bit more expensive, but definitely worth it. On the other hand, the lunch is really great, cheaper, and even though the selection is smaller than at dinner, it's still super delicious and worth every visit. On weekends, especially in the evenings, you should definitely make a reservation. Making reservations online on the website is very quick and easy. Simply a very good restaurant where you order from the "buffet" using a tablet!

We've eaten here several times and have been completely satisfied each time, both with the food and the service. This time, our expectations were fully met. We particularly enjoyed being served by Alex: friendly, professional, and with a refreshingly positive demeanor. His open manner made the evening particularly entertaining and conversational. Anyone who enjoys speaking Spanish or would like to brush up on their language skills will also find him a great choice, as he is fluent. We're already looking forward to our next visit!
