We had a wonderful experience in a restaurant with a great view. The grilled octopus was tender, juicy and perfectly paired with the side dishes. The musaka was rich and delicious, with a golden layer of cheese. The crispy potato slices were also a highlight. Excellent food, great atmosphere and friendly service!

We had a wonderful evening on the cathedral terraces! The food was authentic and absolutely delicious - from the fresh mezedes to the perfectly grilled gyros. The ingredients tasted fresh and high quality, and the portions were generous. Particularly noteworthy was the friendly service, which made us feel truly welcome. The atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and inviting, almost like a short vacation in Greece. We will definitely be back and can highly recommend this restaurant. We had a lovely evening in the cathedral terraces today. The feta in a sesame coating was a highlight for us, as we had never heard of this appetizer before. The chicken souvlaki was also on point. Many thanks also to the nice waitress who recommended the feta to us. See you soon!

For us, the cathedral terraces are the best restaurant in Bamberg! A pleasure every time. The starters in particular are highly recommended - fresh, Mediterranean flavors that immediately transport you to Greece. Whether it's tzatziki, saganaki or grilled vegetables, the highest quality is ensured here. The grilled dishes are also a highlight - the meat is perfectly prepared, juicy and full of flavor. The service is always friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is cozy and stylish. If you want to eat well in Bamberg, you definitely shouldn't miss the cathedral terraces. Absolutely recommended!

This was the third time we've been to this restaurant and we weren't disappointed again. The starters are very very good. Everything fits and is served very attractively. Although the terrace and the winter garden were busy, we were served in a courteous, friendly and unhurried manner. Since we hadn't made a reservation, we were allowed to move into the winter garden after the starter. It was very cozy there and the main course was sensational. A suggestion for improvement: unfortunately you can only order a table online via "OpenTable". There was nothing left available that evening. Unfortunately no one answers the phone when you call. So we just walked up the little mountain and there were still a lot of tables available (some only inside). Maybe just answer the phone. Thanks!

We only had something to drink and couldn't pay with EC. Since we had no other option and we asked for a solution that would have been available, it wasn't great that the service then became rude. Maybe that should have been said beforehand. Ambience was very nice. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food. It was about 15 euros and then about the principle.

Never heard of hospitality. Tables are only a third full and you can't even ask if you can sit down. Unfriendly staff, absolutely not recommended

We got a place around 8 p.m. "without" pre-ordering. We were happy then. The food was very tasty (although the disappointment that we only had a main course was evident in the waitress). The draft beer was a bit too warm. It was a shame that we weren't treated to an ouzo at the end at the house's expense...but all the other guests were. Since it was shortly before the bar closed, the nightcap fell down the back. Attention should not wane.

Delicious authentic Greek cuisine. Both the boss and the boss are really nice, always happy to have fun and always have a smile on their faces. We always come back, we really enjoy going there and we always receive a very warm welcome. The food is super delicious. Great service. Everything freshly made. In my opinion the best souvlaki. The dishes are always beautifully prepared. A really great atmosphere. In summer there is a great view of the cathedral. And if you've been there, my personal recommendation is to make the chocolate souffle with vanilla ice cream for your souvlaki :)

After a lovely trip to Seehof Castle, we enjoyed a wonderful evening with friends on the cathedral terraces. The ambience, all the dishes and the service, even the boss who looked after us, were simply great. Best Greek restaurant we have ever visited. All the best to you and keep it up. I visited the Domterrassen restaurant and was impressed by the quality of the food and service. The atmosphere of the restaurant perfectly conveys the spirit of Greece - warm, hospitable and authentic. The dishes were excellent: from delicate moussaka to fresh gyros to delicious feta cheese. I would particularly like to highlight the desserts – the baklava was incredibly delicious! The service was first class. The waiters were attentive, friendly and always willing to help choose dishes. They really know Greek cuisine and can recommend the best items from the menu. The restaurant offers a wide selection of traditional Greek drinks, including wonderful local wines and ouzo. It is the perfect place for both a romantic dinner and a meeting with friends or a family celebration. Overall, Domterrassen exceeded my expectations. I look forward to my next visit and recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy real Greek cuisine and hospitality.

The Domterassen is a Greek restaurant on the Kaulberg in Bamberg. The establishment has a diverse cuisine with great starters and numerous main courses. From the terrace you have a great view over Bamberg and the cathedral. The food was very tasty and the service was friendly. We would love to come here again to eat.

This place probably doesn't need any guests. After we informed the innkeeper that there were only 3 of us instead of the 5 people we had reserved, we were turned away from the restaurant after some further discussions. I can absolutely understand the reviews about the unfriendly host.

Rarely experienced something like that. Already been greeted incredibly rudely by the “boss” and yet, after agreement, just drank a beer (in the courtyard). We were then treated in an incredibly unfriendly manner when we wanted to pay. When he was then asked about it in the normal way, he ran towards us with his staff and threatened to hit us. There can be no talk of a recommendation here and anyone who reads their comments on reviews on this platform can guess what a “type” this is. Everything in life takes its toll and your bill is pretty steep. Best regards!

I can understand the host's lack of ability to criticize the other reviews. If you don't want to be expelled from the shop with loud words from the tenant and half-strong kitchen staff after you say that you don't necessarily find the species friendly, you should avoid this shop.

Everything was right for us in the cathedral terraces: the food was very tasty, the owner and his staff were extremely friendly, the food came promptly and last but not least - the interior is tasteful and cozy.

Unfortunately it was still too cold and the terrace was closed, but we also had a great view of the cathedral from the window seat. And then there was the food - just the right portion size, tender meat and beautifully prepared. We made our reservation easily online and everything was wonderful.

Unfortunately, a very disappointing evening. No attempt was made to shorten the long waiting time of an hour and a half for two standard dishes (there was a short-term power outage) with a kind gesture or a clarifying word. Not a nice feeling, being completely ignored.

Price-performance ratio completely inconsistent. The prices have been increased significantly. The quality has decreased. The boss is not receptive to criticism and feels personally attacked. Terrace offers a fantastic view of the cathedral.

Delicious authentic Greek cuisine. The boss is super nice and always up for a nice conversation and a great dish recommendation. We always like to come. Not least because of the great view of the cathedral and, in winter, the beautifully decorated terrace.

The food could not be better. I have been to several Greek restaurants in and around Bamberg and the Fisch Teller and warmed Vorspeisenplatte was fantastic and the fish along with the calamari was done perfectly. Have to say really good points to the cooking team bro get our food warm and nicely seasoned to our table. The service was very professional and friendly, we didn't have to call any one to our table. The view of the cathedral was fantastic. Can't wait to go back and run down the menu.

I have ordered food here a total of 3 times. The first order went smoothly, with the second order I received one completely wrong meal out of two I ordered. I did get a free meal for my next order, but here too, instead of the rice I ordered, they simply delivered fries. The food itself was very good. Ultimately I won't order again.

The cathedral terraces in Bamberg impressed us with their authentic Greek cuisine. Unlike other places, this restaurant stands out because it doesn't just offer traditional Athens plates. The quality of the food is excellent, the staff is extremely friendly, and the atmosphere is chic with a great courtyard and a magnificent terrace with a view of the cathedral. We look forward to visiting this restaurant again and again.

War sehr skeptisch, die meisten Griechischen Lokale bieten tot gebratenes Fleisch und matschigen Reis. Hier war das Essen ein absolutes Geschmackserlebnis. Einfach richtig lecker. Preis/Leistung absolut OK. Der Service war sehr gut und aufmerksam. War sehr gut besucht, denke reservieren ist ratsam. Empfehlenswert. Komme gerne wieder.

5 Sterne für den leckeren griechischen Wein und die Gastfreundlichkeit des Hauses. Schon 2018 hier häufiger vorbeigekommen. Wenn man nur 1 bis 3 Nächte in Bamberg weilt, dann zieht es einen doch eher zur fränkischen Küche. Auf meinem Spaziergang über den Domplatz zog mich der Starkregen hier hinein. Ich war der erste Gast und wurde freundlichst empfangen. Meiner Bitte, doch nur ein Glas im Stehen zu nehmen und Fotos machen zu dürfen, kam man gerne nach. Sieht edel aus und roch gut. Der Service meinte „einige finden auch, dass es hier gut schmeckt“. Kann ich mir echt vorstellen. Kommt auf die „noch zu testen-Liste“.

Vorspeise reichlich, Hauptgericht für ein griechisches Restaurant relativ klein. Geschmacklich hervorragend. Negativ war die hohe Lautstärke im Wintergarten durch den Widerhall.

Superschöne Aussicht von der Terrasse aus. Essen teuer und mäßig. Zwar gut angerichtet, aber geschmacklich verbesserungsbedürftig. Leider fade und überall mit Sahne: als Sauce, Beilage und im Essen. Bedienung war freundlich aber wenig aufmerksam, obwohl nicht viel los war. Deshalb leider Punktabzug.

Im Restaurant Domterrassen habe ich mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Service war super, nicht aufdringlich aber immer present. Das Essen war supper lecker.

Der Blick von der Terrasse ist super schön. Wer sehr gut essen möchte, griechisch, der sollte anderweitig auf die Suche begeben. Besonders das Preis- Leistungs-Verhältnis klaffen auseinander. Mittelmäßige griechische Küche muss überdurchschnittlich bezahlt werden. Ich weiß, der lockdown war für viele Restaurants schwierig. Aber für wen nicht. Ein Beispiel: Gegrilltes Gemüse mit einem Rucolabett, 4 Champignons, 2 dünnen Streifen Paprika, je 5 Scheiben Zuccini und Auberginen und in Balsamicocreme ertränkt - 15 €. Die Balsamicocreme fand sich später ebenfalls auf dem Oktopussalat. Ebenso überschwänglich verteilt. Aber was gar nicht geht, der Geschmack des Oktopus wurde von einem scharfen Essig, vermutlich Brandweinessig, total überlagert und zunichte gemacht. Wir waren etwa 20 Personen. Aber nur diejenigen, welche noch etwas länger saßen, kamen in den "Genuss" eines Ouzos. Einer der 20 bestellte sich 2 Vorspeisen. In der Karte stand: Brot zu jeder Vorspeise. Er bekam aber nur 1 Brotkörbchen und musste nachfragen.

Nach den überwiegend guten Bewertungen und ebenso in der Presse ein entsprechendes Ranking mit bestem Essen mit ebenso gepaartem Service und Ambiente zu erwarten sein sollte, haben wir uns heute Mittag zum Essen eingefunden. Die Begrüssung war freundlich und die Platzwahl wurde uns überlassen, die Getränke und die Gerichte wurden schnell aufgenommen und ebenso serviert. Bei den Vorspeisen fiel uns die überschaubare Anzahl der Weinblätter auf, sind wir so nicht gewohnt von anderen Restaurants, geschmacklich waren alle Vorspeisen sehr lecker. Bei den Hauptgerichten sah es etwas anders aus, denn das Suflaki war gut gegart, doch leider sehr zurückhaltend im Geschmack. So hatten wir das noch nie. Das Bifteki dagegen war sehr gut im Geschmack und somit empfehlenswert. Doch als wir unsere Rechnung beglichen haben, blieb der übliche Ouzo, wie bei jedem anderen Griechen, aus. Nichts zum Abschluss, kein gar nichts. Das irritierte uns extrem. Sehr schade, das der Gute griechische Ton hier gänzlich fehlt.
