Das Restaurant lebt von seiner Lage. Der Blick auf den Dom ist wirklich beeindruckend und sehr romantisch. Das Essen ist bestenfalls mittelmäßig. Ich liebe griechische Küche und habe Bifteki gegessen. Das war etwas trocken. Das Schokoladensouffle war nicht warm genug. Vom Wein rate ich ab, sowohl vom griechischen als auch vom fränkischen. Service und Lage aber wirklich top.

Perfekter Service. Sehr freundliches Personal, selbst als es sehr voll war. Man entschuldigte sich sogar, dass es mit dem Essen etwas dauerte. Absolute Empfehlung. Top Aussicht oben drauf.

Obwohl die Aussicht und das Essen sehr gut waren, ließ der Service leider zu wünschen übrig. Wir mussten zweieinhalb Stunden auf Vorspeise und Hauptgang warten und bekamen kein Brot. Die Bedienung war völlig überlastet und konnte sich nicht um alles kümmern. Die Kartenzahlung funktionierte nicht, und die Rechnung stellte sich bei der Überprüfung als fehlerhaft heraus.

Die Terrasse mit Blick auf den Dom war einfach wunderschön, Service sehr freundlich, essen sehr lecker, was will man mehr?

Wir waren absolut begeistert. Schon die Terrasse mit dem fantastischen Ausblick ist ein echtes Highlight. Dazu gibt es jede Menge Platz und sehr gemütliche Sitzmöglichkeiten – man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Der Service war super herzlich und aufmerksam. Man hat sich wirklich Zeit für uns genommen und uns tolle Empfehlungen gegeben, die sich definitiv gelohnt haben. Das Essen war einfach überragend. Alles war perfekt auf den Punkt gebraten, geschmacklich top und mal etwas abwechslungsreicher als das, was man sonst oft beim Griechen bekommt. Es gab einige Gerichte, die man nicht überall findet, und genau das hat den Abend für uns besonders gemacht. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hat uns positiv überrascht – für diese Qualität sind die Preise wirklich mehr als fair. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und können das Restaurant uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Absolute Überraschung! Wir hatten in größerer Gruppe einen rundum gelungenen Abend. Der Service war außergewöhnlich persönlich und aufmerksam – man hat sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen gefühlt. Die Speisen wurden mit frischen, hochwertigen Zutaten zubereitet und haben geschmacklich auf ganzer Linie überzeugt. Besonders das wunderschöne Ambiente mit direktem Domblick macht den Besuch zu etwas Besonderem. Wer Wert auf exzellentes Essen, herzlichen Service und eine einzigartige Atmosphäre legt, ist hier genau richtig. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Essen sehr gut. Ausblick auf der Terrasse sehr gut, innen ok. Bei der Bestellung haben wir als erstes darum gebeten, etwas Tomatenreis für ein Kind der Gruppe vorab zu bringen. Da die Bedienung sagte, sie müsse in der Küche danach fragen, haben wir die Bitte gegenüber der Servicechefin wiederholt. Sie hat dies bestätigt. Trotzdem und trotz mehrfacher Nachfrage wurde der Reis erst 45 Minuten später mit der letzten Vorspeise gebracht. Fehler passieren, aber spätestens nach der ersten Erinnerung hätte er behoben werden können. Eine Entschuldigung gab es auch nicht. Während die Erwachsenen noch auf die Hauptspeise warteten, scheint ein Kind eine Nachspeise bestellt zu haben. Anstatt die Eltern darauf anzusprechen, ob das in Ordnung geht, wurde die Nachspeise schon vor den letzen Hauptspeisen gebracht. Kann man machen, muss man aber nicht. Update (Juli 2026): Anstatt sich der Kritik zu stellen und einfach dafür zu entschuldigen, dass der Service an dem Abend nicht so gelungen war, was ja mal passieren kann, hat das Restaurant versucht, die ausgewogene und sachliche Rezension löschen zu lassen. Meinem Widerspruch wurde aber stattgegeben. Für diesen Versuch ziehe ich leider einen weiteren Stern ab. Was nützen Rezensionen, wenn die schlechten gelöscht werden?

Wir haben hier unsere Hochzeit gefeiert und waren sehr zufrieden. Die Kommunikation und Beratung im Vorfeld waren unkompliziert und sehr gut. Das Essen war hervorragend, wurde schnell serviert und das gesamte Team war sehr freundlich.

Alles war frisch und von hoher Qualität. Das Ambiente ist wunderschön und die Aussicht auf den Bamberger Dom macht den Besuch zu etwas Besonderem. Auch der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Ein tolles Restaurant mit hervorragendem Essen und einer einzigartigen Atmosphäre. Absolut empfehlenswert – wir kommen gerne wieder! 🌿✨

Sehr schöne Location mit Blick auf den Dom. Vorspeisen und Hauptgerichte waren sehr Lecker,allerdings die Hauptgerichte waren etwas spärlich könnte bei diesen Preisen deutlich mehr sein.Auch die Chefin Anna, sehr nett und spendierte sogar zwei runden Ouzo. Alle sehr freundlich, kann ich weiterempfehlen.

πολύ ατυχές! :-( Ein schönes Restaurant mit einer guten Küche und einem tollen Ausblick von der Terrasse auf den Bamberger Dom. Ein wirkliches Highlight an einem schönen Sommerabend hier draußen sitzen zu dürfen, WENN es dazu kommt!!! Leider wurde uns ein Tisch innen zugeteilt. Die Enttäuschung war wirklich groß, da wir extra aus Nürnberg gekommen waren. Unsere Bitte nach draußen zu dürfen, wenn etwas frei werden würde, wurde den ganzen Abend ignoriert. Die Chefin bevorzugte offensichtlich Stammgäste und das, obwohl es draußen immer wieder freie Tische gab. Wenn ich auf Empfehlung hin so ein Restaurant mit besonderem Ausblick buche, dann möchte ich nicht innen sitzen und den Ausblick erahnen müssen. Oder man gibt das bei der Reservierung VORHER an. Schade …

Persönlich reservierter Tisch war belegt 1,5 Std auf Hauptspeise gewartet Gyros kam kalt , gegrillte Baby Kalamari ausdrücklich ohne Knoblauch bestellt kam mit viel Knoblauch ( wurde ausgetauscht ) Kartenzahlung funktionierte nicht Jeder Kunde bekam einen Ouzo , wir nicht Das Wetter und die Aussicht waren gut

Ohne Reservierung wurden wir abgelehnt. Viele Tische waren frei. Und das alles in unfreundlicher Art und Weise. Wir haben dann im HENRII vorzüglich gespeist und alle waren sehr freundlich.

Anna ist die perfekte Gastgeberin und Seele des Restaurants. Wir hatten ein lauschiges Plätzchen und einen unaufdringlichen, aber dennoch aufmerksamen Service. Der Oktopus mit Fava war köstlich und die Lammkoteletts waren ebenfalls sehr lecker. Vorher haben wir uns den appetitlichen Bauernsalat geteilt und uns danach ein Galaktoburiko schmecken lassen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Wir hatten die gemischte Meeresplatte. Das Gemüse fand ich sehr gut, vorallem dass es noch etwas Biss hatte und nicht Tod gekocht war. Der Fisch und die Garnelen waren leider komplett trocken und haben uns gar nicht zugesagt.

Die DT kenne ich seit Jahrzehnten. Am schönsten finde ich sie natürlich im Sommer, wenn man auf der Terrasse sitzen kann. Aber: der Besuch lohnt sich auch im Winter, die Mezze Platte (warm) war vielfach besser als erwartete. Das Team war freundlich und schnell. Der Preis war gerecht und wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch. berufsbedingt fällt einem vielleicht das Ambiente mehr oder weniger auf. Mich stört nunmal, wenn der Gastraum nicht top zum Thema passt und jeden Tag wie am ersten aussieht. WC‘s (waren sauber!) könnten jedoch viel schöner sein (mediterran passend zur Karte).

We were a party of five, and the drinks arrived promptly. The appetizer (meze, served cold) was not good value for money. €28 for eight small bowls of dips, a few olives, and three pepperoni is unreasonable. The main courses were okay, although one dish arrived only when the others were half-finished. The ambiance suffered because we were seated in the room behind the entrance, and every time the door opened, a blast of icy air rushed in. We only received the bill after reminding them twice.

We had a lovely evening here, in a tasteful atmosphere with delicious food. Anyone looking for something outside the usual brewery fare in Bamberg will definitely find it here.

Great view if you can get a seat on the terrace, but it's reserved for certain people only. Among other things, we ordered a "mixed fish platter" – three seafood dishes. They served a piece of salmon, squid, and three shrimp. Apparently they don't know that squid isn't a fish, but a mollusk, belonging to the class of cephalopods! Furthermore, shrimp aren't fish either, but crustaceans. Fish have skeletons and fins! We can't recommend this restaurant.

We were there for the first time today and were absolutely thrilled. The ambiance and service were simply fantastic, and the crowning glory was the food, simply superb. I've never had such a buttery and delicious lamb chop at a Greek restaurant before, and my husband's calamari was the same. Even though I was already full (we also had appetizers), I had to treat myself to dessert because I was curious, and everything was so delicious. It definitely won't be our last visit; I highly recommend it.

Today I was back at this wonderful place with its wonderful people. Once again, I was thrilled with the advice, the service, the quality of the food, and the ambiance. Worth every cent, even if it's not cheap, but then again, it doesn't have to be with the overall package. I'll be back!

We had to wait 25 minutes until our table was finally free. Then the table was completely dirty, and we had to wait another 30 minutes until our table was cleaned and our drinks finally arrived. On top of that, my drink was completely warm. The food was good, but it took forever, and that's for the price. And as if that wasn't enough, the manager gave me a hard time and basically shut me up... So I wasn't allowed to express my opinion. Almost as if I had no right to my opinion! Absolutely a disgrace. I can't recommend it under any circumstances...

Great view, friendly service, decent portions, and an outrageous wait time. We waited over an hour between the appetizer being cleared and the main course.

Unfortunately, it wasn't a great experience. We waited over 20 minutes for drinks and 1.5 hours for our food. The table next to us arrived half an hour later and finished earlier than us. The grilled vegetables were burnt, as was the octopus. The gyro was lukewarm. The service was poor. The only positive aspect was the beautiful view.

Completely unassuming from the outside, but absolutely surprising once you're inside. If you have the chance, definitely go to the terrace with its magnificent view. The menu is well-stocked and not overly extensive. The food is very good and the prices are absolutely reasonable.

I had dinner here with my wife on my wedding anniversary. Strangely, just an hour after eating, I had severe stomach pain and nausea, which the doctor diagnosed as gastritis. Anyone who suspects something bad is a scoundrel.

We came as tourists, eager to enjoy a delicious meal and have a good time. But upon entering, the receptionist rudely addressed us: "Where are you going? You didn't reserve a table." We turned around and left. The staff were unfriendly. Our mood was ruined.

I liked the quality of staple dishes and the deliberate but subtle decoration. Dishes are curated and very appropriate for the food they hold. The meat is cooked very well and my skewers had flavorful vegetables. This restaurant has a view that is difficult to describe, so I highly recommend placing a reservation and enjoying a summer evening on the terrace. The staff is very courteous and capable of speaking several languages.

We were staying overnight in Bamberg and stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. We highly recommend it. We received a very friendly welcome and were expecting a different menu, but were pleasantly surprised by the excellent food. We highly recommend the octopus carpaccio. If we're ever there again, we'll be happy to come back.

We were there on June 22, 2025, and had a great time. The food, service, and ambiance were excellent. We'll be back.

We were unfortunately a bit disappointed. First, the positive: the view is really beautiful, and the online reservation worked perfectly. Unfortunately, a few things went wrong for us. An appetizer was forgotten. After asking, it turned out that it had been at another table for two minutes, so the waiter took the appetizer away from that table and wanted to give it to us, which we declined. Then the wrong main course was brought. After it arrived, the waiter tried to explain to us that we had ordered incorrectly (there were five of us, and we all heard it). There was a brief apology at the end and the standard request for an ouzo, but we expected more. The food is mediocre; you can't expect anything exceptional here.

Highly recommended. The food was very good, the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. You feel very comfortable here. And the view of the cathedral is fantastic.

Attracted by the beautiful view, we wanted to try the restaurant, but we won't come back: the gyros were of poor quality (had two cartilages) and tasteless. The pulpo for €27 was tiny and I was still hungry afterwards. The children's portion of gyros with fries for €15 are cheeky. However, the service is very nice and the restaurant (including the inside) is very attractive. Nevertheless, the food didn't convince us.

Price performance is no longer right. With each visit the prices were noticeably increased and the service reduced: smaller portions, no salad anymore included (€5 extra) 1 tablespoon of tzatziki..... .

Only the view was nice, otherwise everything else was horrible. The staff was bad and insulted you. The food took a long time to arrive and only came lukewarm. As you can see from the pictures, the plates were not warmly prepared and the portion was relatively small for just under €20. The taste wasn't convincing either. The view alone does it. Please don't fall for other comments and waste your money.

It was my first time going there and oh boy how much have I enjoyed it! Literally everything there was perfect. First of all, the staff were friendly, attentive, and sufficient. Not once I felt neglected by them. Second of all, the food was a gastronomic delight and miracle. I cannot recall the last time when I relished and appreciated every bite that I made. By the end, I ate everything and left nothing on my plates. Especially, I’d like to emphasise the restaurateurs work. She’d succeed at creating a heartwarming and unique environment which makes me want to go back again and again. Therefore, I definitely recommend this place if you seek extraordinary food, excellent service, and memorising atmosphere.

Beautifully located Greek restaurant in the middle of Bamberg with perhaps the most beautiful view in the city and especially of the cathedral. In summer also with a beautiful, spacious terrace. Unfortunately with taste deficits in the kitchen. Greek dishes are very nicely prepared and the portion size is okay, but the taste is further away from authentic cuisine and more in line with German preferences. But still not bad by any means. Price-performance ratio is still ok, although of course you have to expect a little extra for the ambience. If you are looking for a restaurant with a great view, you will definitely find it here.

We had a wonderful experience in a restaurant with a great view. The grilled octopus was tender, juicy and perfectly paired with the side dishes. The musaka was rich and delicious, with a golden layer of cheese. The crispy potato slices were also a highlight. Excellent food, great atmosphere and friendly service!

For us, the cathedral terraces are the best restaurant in Bamberg! A pleasure every time. The starters in particular are highly recommended - fresh, Mediterranean flavors that immediately transport you to Greece. Whether it's tzatziki, saganaki or grilled vegetables, the highest quality is ensured here. The grilled dishes are also a highlight - the meat is perfectly prepared, juicy and full of flavor. The service is always friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is cozy and stylish. If you want to eat well in Bamberg, you definitely shouldn't miss the cathedral terraces. Absolutely recommended!

We had a lovely evening in the cathedral terraces today. The feta in a sesame coating was a highlight for us, as we had never heard of this appetizer before. The chicken souvlaki was also on point. Many thanks also to the nice waitress who recommended the feta to us. See you soon!
