Micello's in Leipzig

We ate here for the first time today. What negative things can I say? There's nothing. Everything was simply positive. The food, the atmosphere, and the staff were all simply fantastic. We had the lunch menu, a classic meal and a 0.4 liter soft drink each for €14.90. There was absolutely nothing to complain about. We'd be happy to come back.

We've always enjoyed coming to Micello's. That's why I had reserved a table for yesterday for our wedding anniversary (three weeks in advance). Unfortunately, upon arrival, we discovered that only one table in the entire restaurant was occupied—the one we had reserved. Unfortunately, the friendly staff member couldn't see anything in the reservation. So, without causing a conflict, we sat at another table. The food itself was good. Only the antipasti was very meager (very little) for the price of €15. Unfortunately, the restrooms were very unappetizing and dirty. Especially with the ladies, you have to wonder how some women do their business.

Great location, but just a normal Italian restaurant... nothing special... so the price-performance ratio is a bit over the top

It's a lovely restaurant located right in the city center. We had a reservation for six people at 5:30 p.m. on a Monday. The restaurant was practically empty, and it was correspondingly quiet. Unfortunately, it seemed like the waitress was just changing shifts. We were greeted nicely, but then we got the feeling the waitress wasn't in the mood. The pasta was, unfortunately, extremely expensive and nothing special. The pasta aglio e olio was made with olive oil, but it shouldn't have been swimming in oil. The pasta with tomato sauce wasn't impressive either. There was a broken salt shaker on the table, and we only received Parmesan cheese upon request. :(

Wow! I am delighted with the interior🤩 and the portions of the dish♥️ In every corner-PHOTO LOCATION. And the Caesar salad🤤 I have never eaten anything like it! Service 🔥 We were there during the day and there were few people, if you come on the weekend to visit, I think it is better to book in advance. I recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The food wasn't particularly tasty, and neither was the drink. They brought me water with a slice of lemon and lemon syrup, but this drink was undrinkable! (It didn't even taste of lemon.) Then, upon request, they brought me a new drink where you could still see the syrup floating in the drink. They sold this product as Sprite. Now I'm leaving the restaurant with a stomach ache.

We were there today with a larger group. It's always difficult, but this was truly abysmal. Half of us were already full, the other half waited an hour longer, so a total of one and a half hours for the food. Even a bottle of water took 20 minutes to arrive. The food was so-so. Much of it was lukewarm and not particularly tasty. Not a word of regret. Never again!

A very nice restaurant. Unfortunately, the service was absolutely terrible. Despite the fact that there weren't many people there, we waited an incredibly long time for our food and drinks. The pasta sauce was way too peppery, and the pasta with pesto was swimming in the sauce. Because of the long wait, we didn't even dare to order another drink. For dessert, we got the wrong ice cream, but didn't want to wait any longer and just took it as it came.

The pizza was an absolute disaster. I've never eaten such a bad Margherita, or rather, I left two-thirds of it standing. It wasn't crispy and was way too oily. On top of that, the service gave the wrong answer to my complaint. Not recommended.

The food was delicious, the price/performance ratio was quite good, and the ambiance was also very nice. The only thing that was completely unacceptable was our waitress, a young blonde lady. She didn't have a friendly aura and seemed to us to be in a bad mood. She was also cheeky enough to simply pocket a 20-cent tip because she supposedly didn't have 20 cents to give back. Her response was aloof and laughing, "Unfortunately, I don't have 20 cents, is that right?" I'm sorry, but you can't throw that in your customers' faces even though the cash register was full of coins. They could have asked for cents to maybe give them a euro.

I've eaten there twice now and I liked it. The service is good, the staff is friendly. The food tastes really good; I've always had pasta dishes the two times I've been there and I really liked them. The drinks selection is good, with something for everyone. There's a small selection of vegetarian dishes (4 or 5) as an extra. Otherwise, there are regular pasta dishes with sauces, which are also meatless (but they're not labeled vegetarian). Depending on the day of the week, you have to be careful about seating. If there's only two-thirds of you, you can go without a reservation and get a seat pretty quickly. For larger groups, it's better to make a reservation in advance. Overall, I highly recommend the restaurant.

Micello’s Leipzig impresses with modern Italian cuisine, generous portions (especially pizza and pasta) and a stylish, light-flooded ambience. The decor is charming with rustic details. The service is partly praised and partly criticized because of waiting times. The central location in Leipzig city center makes Micello’s a popular address. Conclusion: Good cuisine, nice ambience, small weaknesses in the service – overall recommended.

If you want to eat a delicious and fresh pizza, you've unfortunately come to the wrong place.

My prosciutto pizza had exactly the dough I wanted and my partner's pasta with basil pesto was excellent. If you're not completely fussy and fussy and don't pay too much attention to every little detail, Micellos is really worth a visit! Big recommendation from us!

Unfortunately the table was completely stuck, then we asked a waitress to wipe it off, but unfortunately the table then stuck more than before. The cocktails and the starter (bruschetta) were good, but the lasagne was still cold on the inside, which was then warmed up again, which unfortunately didn't make it any better, as the pasta was then completely cooked through, it felt like you were eating baby food. This was the first restaurant where I tasted a steak so incredibly well, simply unforgettable! All of the food was exceptionally delicious and I would highly recommend everyone to eat there. Not only is the food convincing, the service is also outstanding. The service staff was extremely friendly and warm, so you immediately feel comfortable and welcome. An all around wonderful experience - I'll definitely be back!

I was here for the second time yesterday, both times without a reservation. In any case, this wasn't a problem for two people in the large restaurant. The pizza is very big and tasty, and the drinks are very fancy. A special highlight is the double ladies' toilet bee. A clear recommendation for delicious, uncomplicated pizza in downtown Leipzig!

Ich habe selten so schlecht gegessen. Das Bruschetto Avocado hat zum einen wie aus dem Supermarkt geschmeckt und war dann auch noch gerade mal ein wenig übers Brot gestrichen. Ebenso schlecht war das Vitello Tonnatto. Kaum Tunfisch, dafür Majonesegeschmack. Dafür völlig überteutert. Absolut NICHT empfehlenswert. Leider!

Ambiance was nice.. But the service was very overwhelmed. First we were seated at a place that was already occupied and then we had to wait half an hour for our drinks. When we then had our food... the cutlery was forgotten.

We visited Micellos with our 2 year old daughter. We were assigned a table at the entrance. Upon request, a high chair was brought to us immediately. We enjoyed the food and the portions of the pasta were more than sufficient. The service was very nice and you felt "welcome" :) Gladly again !

Was there on a Saturday evening after an RB Leipzig soccer game. I was very positively surprised - excellent food at an acceptable price, very good and friendly service and a restaurant with air conditioning, especially pleasant in summer...

I visited Micellos recently based on a friend‘s recommendation. The environment, drink and service were amazing, however the spinach pizza was not nice at all. It lacked taste and there were just leaves and nuts on top. I expected better from an Italian restaurant.

I have been to this restaurant several times in 2022/2023 and have always been very satisfied, great food and great location. On my last visit I was deeply disappointed. Mainly from the extremely unfriendly service “Carmen” and then also from the food. The main ingredient of the pizza was oil… well the worst thing was the service. My girlfriend is allergic to garlic and so had a question and the response was very rude. The eyes were constantly blurred, there was no wish for a good appetite, the food was simply slammed on the table. We noticed that the same thing happened to other tables. I have never experienced such bad service. There was no tip for that and the next time I visit Leipzig, I'll just look for another Italian :)

Nice pizzeria in downtown Leipzig. It's nice to sit there. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Drinks came very quickly, food came relatively quickly even though it was quite full. The pizza was very large and could perhaps have had a little better toppings. Noodles were great and perhaps a better alternative. Prices were still OK for Leipzig conditions. Can you go again?

Super inflexible. I ordered for 10 people, but then it turned out to be 12 people at short notice. There was no way to put two chairs in... 👎🏻 We then moved on to PeterPane, they were very flexible there!

Well done, dear revelers and hungry warriors! In this hospitable house, we were welcomed with the utmost friendliness and were well looked after without having to register in advance. A chair was immediately brought in for our child, and the staff proved to be courteous and cordial throughout. When choosing our dishes, we were given excellent advice in an expert voice. Our children's meal was thoughtfully served first - and what a surprise! The children's pizza was of such enormous size that even a brave knight could fight on it. Our own pizzas also proved to be real delights at the table: huge in size and delicious in taste. But truly, the best thing about our visit was the noble act of the house! When our child unfortunately spilled all of his apple juice on my pizza, we were immediately given a new one without any request - and at no extra charge! A truly gallant service that shows that hospitality is very important in this house. Anyone who is looking for a place where food and drink are served with warmth can be sure: this inn deserves the highest praise and unreserved recommendation!

The food here is really terrible. Everything tasted absolutely artificial/chemical and the "pasta with pesto" was swimming in a broth of water and oil. Definitely not recommended. The service was at least friendly. The homemade lemonade was undrinkable and was returned after the first sip, but of course still charged. The food was one of the worst I've ever eaten.

We got a table here on a Saturday evening without making a reservation. The food was excellent. We ordered smaller portions for the children which wasn't a problem. Pizza relatively large, with tuna and simply fantastic. The corn-fed chicken with garlic spinach and rosemary potatoes was a pleasant portion and was also tasty. Even the children, who are otherwise difficult to convince, were unconvinced by the lasagna and the pasta with shrimps. And the price with drinks and a dessert is reasonable at just under €100 for four people. Very happy again.

The pasta was cold, too soft and tasted more like cream than parmesan. We ordered the Pasta di Micello, which was advertised as a specialty and was supposedly tossed in a parmesan wheel, but we doubt that. Have you rarely eaten such bland, boring pasta - and for over €20 per plate? Pure rip off!

The service was friendly, attentive and ensured that we felt completely comfortable. For me one of the best Italian restaurants in Leipzig – I’ll definitely be back! Das Essen war in Ordnung, aber nicht außergewöhnlich. Das Restaurant war sauber, was positiv auffiel. Leider wurde die Stimmung durch das schlecht gelaunte Personal etwas getrübt.

Visité este restaurante recientemente, y mi experiencia fue mediocre en el mejor de los casos. La comida estaba bien, pero nada especial o memorable. Desafortunadamente, el servicio dejó mucho que desear. El personal era antipático, poco profesional, y mostró poco respeto o interés en los clientes. Se sentía como si fuéramos más de un inconveniente que los huéspedes valorados. Si bien el ambiente era aceptable, el mal servicio eclipsó todo lo demás. No lo recomendaría a menos que se hagan mejoras en la forma en que se trata a los clientes.

The food is really good but you wait almost 2 hours until the food even comes. Other guests who came after us only waited around 20 minutes until the food came. This is very disrespectful and not appropriate. You don't keep your guests waiting that long.

Service and kitchen processes are very slow and poorly organized. It took too long to order. We also had to wait a long time for the food (fried pieces of salmon in the salad had become completely cold). You could see searching looks at most of the tables.

We stopped here for a bite to eat late in the evening after arriving at the hotel. We had tomato soup, spaghetti aglio olio and a pizza. Everything was well done, there's nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, the same does not apply to the service. After we had had the cards on the table for 10 minutes without anyone from the staff coming back to us, I went to the bar to remind myself. I found the waitress who, when she saw me, ended her phone call with the words "I think I have to go back to work, I'll call you right away." Not a word of apology but more of a frown in my direction. Somehow the lady missed her job. It's a shame about the otherwise very good impression.

Ambience good. Eating, well. Almost 20€ for a handful of pasta, 3!!! Meat tips and 4 mini tomatoes isn't fair and it's the first time we left a restaurant hungry.

We were there for the first time and found the food to be mediocre to bad. The Maccheroncini with Argentinian beef fillet tips were quite ok, you had to look for the beef fillet tips and the portion was too small for almost €20. The spaghetti made from the parmesan cheese loaf was so bland that I had to return it once. When we got it back, cream had been poured over it. Completely ordinary pasta with parmesan and cream for a whopping €22.50. The price-performance ratio here is definitely not right! We were annoyed afterwards that we were there.

The food was delicious, but the beer was warm. When I asked that I would like a cold beer, I was told that the system was broken. I then ordered a cold light beer from the bottle. There was an ice cube in the beer. It's a shame that this wasn't pointed out beforehand.

The service is terrible. The food that says "pomodoro sauce" is literally the same for everything. I ordered lasagna and the seafood pasta, both tasted exactly the same. To get a waiter to serve you you have to wait forever. Too expensive for the quality, better go to L'Osteria.

Update: 11/24 Since the negative reviews were really influencing me, I didn't want to go at first, but it's good that we did. We were there on Saturday around 1 p.m. and the restaurant was well attended. We were brought to the table promptly, drinks and food arrived in a reasonable time, the food was delicious as always and the service staff did a great job. We'd love to come back. It's been a long time since I've had such a delicious pizza :) Great atmosphere and nice waiters.

Was there on a Saturday evening. Despite the high volume, we were always served quickly and friendly. Not only did the food (FUSILLI GIGANTI AL RAGÙ DI VITELLO) taste excellent, the ambience also invites you to linger and stands out with its attention to detail. All in all a successful evening in a wonderful restaurant.

Waiting over 2 hours for food is one thing. Being spoken to stupidly when asked is another. Food for the price is rather lower middle class. Where they score points is when it comes to unfriendliness
