Micello's in Leipzig

There was a sign at the entrance asking you to wait. Then unfortunately no one came for a long time or staff passing by ignored us. But everything else was okay, staff always came by the table, the food and drinks were very good and there were also dishes on the menu that were declared vegetarian and vegan.

Pizza was really tasty, way too big for the plate, dough was very thin, which I personally thought was great. Service was also OK. However, the woman should always get the drink and the dish first and not the man. Just like the cutlery, it should be placed on the right 😉 They're just small improvements 😉 Overall 5 stars

The passion fruit lemonade from Micellos is super delicious – really fruity and refreshing! The service is also good, everything is quick and friendly. Definitely a treat!

The food is really good but you wait almost 2 hours until the food even comes. Other guests who came after us only waited around 20 minutes until the food came. This is very disrespectful and not appropriate. You don't keep your guests waiting that long.

The food and location was good, but the staff was very rude and made us feel bad, so it wasn't a good visit.

Service and kitchen processes are very slow and poorly organized. It took too long to order. We also had to wait a long time for the food (fried pieces of salmon in the salad had become completely cold). You could see searching looks at most of the tables.

We stopped here for a bite to eat late in the evening after arriving at the hotel. We had tomato soup, spaghetti aglio olio and a pizza. Everything was well done, there's nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, the same does not apply to the service. After we had had the cards on the table for 10 minutes without anyone from the staff coming back to us, I went to the bar to remind myself. I found the waitress who, when she saw me, ended her phone call with the words "I think I have to go back to work, I'll call you right away." Not a word of apology but more of a frown in my direction. Somehow the lady missed her job. It's a shame about the otherwise very good impression.

Ambience good. Eating, well. Almost 20€ for a handful of pasta, 3!!! Meat tips and 4 mini tomatoes isn't fair and it's the first time we left a restaurant hungry.

We were there for the first time and found the food to be mediocre to bad. The Maccheroncini with Argentinian beef fillet tips were quite ok, you had to look for the beef fillet tips and the portion was too small for almost €20. The spaghetti made from the parmesan cheese loaf was so bland that I had to return it once. When we got it back, cream had been poured over it. Completely ordinary pasta with parmesan and cream for a whopping €22.50. The price-performance ratio here is definitely not right! We were annoyed afterwards that we were there.

The food was delicious, but the beer was warm. When I asked that I would like a cold beer, I was told that the system was broken. I then ordered a cold light beer from the bottle. There was an ice cube in the beer. It's a shame that this wasn't pointed out beforehand.

Update: 11/24 Since the negative reviews were really influencing me, I didn't want to go at first, but it's good that we did. We were there on Saturday around 1 p.m. and the restaurant was well attended. We were brought to the table promptly, drinks and food arrived in a reasonable time, the food was delicious as always and the service staff did a great job. We'd love to come back. It's been a long time since I've had such a delicious pizza :) Great atmosphere and nice waiters.

The service is terrible. The food that says "pomodoro sauce" is literally the same for everything. I ordered lasagna and the seafood pasta, both tasted exactly the same. To get a waiter to serve you you have to wait forever. Too expensive for the quality, better go to L'Osteria.

Was there on a Saturday evening. Despite the high volume, we were always served quickly and friendly. Not only did the food (FUSILLI GIGANTI AL RAGÙ DI VITELLO) taste excellent, the ambience also invites you to linger and stands out with its attention to detail. All in all a successful evening in a wonderful restaurant.

I have already tested some Italians in Leipzig. For me it's definitely the one with the best food and the most beautiful ambience. An absolute recommendation!

Unfortunately, once again a failure. Reservation for wrong number of people. Very, very long waiting times, even until the first drink order was taken (approx. 30 minutes and only upon request) - with the guest room almost empty. Moldy fruit on the dessert and wrong drinks. It's a shame, in this top location you would actually hope for a reliable, high-quality point of contact.

Have. Today I ordered veal schnitzel with parmesan and spaghetti with tomato sauce We tried it, it was cold and absolutely not edible. When we said so, we were only offered a dessert and so we were hungry and 80 euros poorer Unbelievable and no substitute for food No more !!!!

Were here for the first time. The only thing that worked was placing it... after that nothing First, 1 drink was forgotten.. then we waited 45 minutes for the food, where, SURPRISE, 1 meal was missing.. as an apology there was a dp espresso.. this was, of course, forgotten... and we had to add another 20 to the bill Wait minutes... unbelievable how a shop like this can survive!

This was my third time there in 6 years and it was the worst time. First of all, the food always tasted good, except that the pizza could have stayed in the oven for a few minutes longer. Class. But the service was terrible this time. It started with an unfriendly service, which made for an uncomfortable evening right from the start because she was annoyed that you couldn't decide straight away from the delicious selection of food. During the meal and afterward, she didn't show up at our table at all, even though she was in her area with two other waiters. They didn't even look at us so we could have waved them over. Another waiter came, took the order, but didn't log it as we never saw the beer we ordered. The empty plates were only cleared away when we asked, even though it was seen several times. The pizza had to be packed (one magharita and one with fresh tomatoes) and thinking logically wasn't my strength either. Because the pizza with the tomato was on the bottom and the other pizza was on top - soggy and mushy was inevitable. I then had to rebuild it on site. And you could clearly see that there was no tip. So the conclusion: the food tasted great, lots of delicious things to choose from, but the service was a disaster, at least this time.

The service here was nice and swift and the cocktail I had was very good. The meal I had was good too. However, I do have one question: why was the tomato sauce so creamy? It reminded me a bit of bechamel sauce and I can't say I'm the biggest fan of bechamel sauce (same goes for creamy sauces in general, that's why I went for the mafaldine pomodoro - because it looked uncreamy). Maybe my taste buds were off, but in case there is in fact bechamel sauce or any form of cream in the tomato sauce, it would be nice if that were reflected on the menu. In that case I would have picked something else.

On the evening of our visit, the entire team was probably having a bad day. In the end, I knew why I saw some more serious looks on the faces at other tables as soon as I entered the restaurant. It took probably 15 minutes before you got the card. We were graciously given enough time until the order was taken. (sarcasm ;)) But the fact that you then have to wait 20 minutes for a simple wheat beer is certainly not what the restaurant wants. You could brush that off with a smile if we hadn't had to ask for my daughter's drink three times (!!!). And the waiter's question - "You haven't gotten that yet?" - implies, if you think really badly, that you've already had the drink and put the empty glass somewhere else to pretend you're still "drinkless". When you then have the bruschetta plate slammed onto the table, so that you can hear the noise of it being put down in a wide area and you have to explicitly ask for napkins and cutlery (also observed at another table + demand for drinks (only beer)), rounds off Unfortunately that gives off the negative impression. Other guests who wanted to pay also waited a long time before going to the counter to speak to the waitress. At the beginning I spoke about the entire team - we had contact with 3 employees - everyone was friendly, but it just wasn't “their day”. The restaurant was busy, but not so full that you could say the staff couldn't manage the number of guests appropriately. (but as far as I understand it wasn't the case) Pizza and pasta were very tasty, the price probably includes the location. I don't normally write reviews because my time is too valuable, but I wanted to give you my feedback here. I just took the time to read more reviews...apparently the staff often has a bad day... I will not visit again and therefore cannot recommend it!!!

We made a reservation on September 23rd, 2024 with a small birthday child, we want a nice table for his birthday, and then of course at 8:30 p.m. there are few guests there but no staff, we have to wait 15 minutes from the entrance. And especially we have a table under the stairs ( Really disappointed with the staff here) And then at 9 p.m. we ordered dessert, the waitress said: Kitchen is already closed, we don't think we can order it. (I thought the restaurant was closing at 11 p.m., but it ended at 9 a.m.) It was a bad day when we decided to celebrate our birthday here. The waitress dropped the guest's towel on our table and left it on the table. There was no excuse for it. But never apologize to us again.

The way the restaurant only responds to comments with high ratings like 4 or 5 stars makes me feel disrespected. Bad reviews are ignored.

Good day, We wanted to have a quick meal, but it took us an hour to wait, and my pizza was cold and the price wasn't justified. The room was also rather cool, which is uncomfortable at this time of year. otherwise it was quite nice I won't go there again.

Visited for the first time yesterday. Super nice restaurant, lovingly furnished. But sticky tables and quite high volume due to the large rooms. My pizza was really good, some of my friend's pasta was already cold, the salad dressing was more like a dessert sauce, but that may be a matter of taste. But. The reserved service person at reception brought us to our table without saying a word. Our actual server took drinks and appetizers. Appetizer came before we got the drinks. The waitress who brought the salad acknowledged this, but didn't touch it any further. After the starter was almost eaten, our waitress came to take the main courses. Also no response regarding the drinks that were still missing. As the evening progressed she also became mushy when my friend misunderstood her because of the volume. They didn't even ask us whether we liked the food or whether we were satisfied. I understand that in the big city you may not have a very close relationship with your customers. But this service was simply non-existent, rather underground. We will not visit Micello's again. We can't recommend it any further. Unless it's for a takeaway pizza.

After 20 minutes, the waitress finally came and we placed our order. At 2:45 p.m. I went to the front and asked if we had been forgotten, our order was in progress. When the food came, no apology or other word. This pizzeria completely ruined our lovely day.

Pero oh,la ensalada César estaba buena y "sabrosa",aunque la salsa fuera "industrial"..Crujientes los croutons y el bacon.Caliente el pollo.Mi.pasta con trufa( la de más precio de la carta,22€?)umm,debería estar más al dente..La pizza muy delgada y grande de mi compañero era de atún y por su tamaño no pudo terminarla..Yo tampoco toda la pasta..Tomamos tres botellines de cerveza sin alcohol. OBVIAMENTE no es alta cocina ni tampoco lo pretenden..Fue un viernes septiembre a las 20:00. Precio 67€,con propina 75€..La propina no la exigieron ni la sugirieron...Ambiente juvenil y familiar y no ruidoso..Y un "10" para la guapa y profesional camarera muy joven y,que además universitaria de estudios difíciles,que duerme poco porque tiene que estudiar..Ojalá!!!,dentro de unos años diseñe puentes y edificios bonitos y sostenibles.:-)).

I was actually a bit surprised that an Italian restaurant didn't serve Lambrusco or Calzone - but maybe my expectations are too high.

Nice atmosphere, nice service. But what's the point if the food is bad. The chef has fallen in love with celery and thickens the pana cotta with so much gelatine that it almost passes for wine gum. To top it off, it also had a stitch, so it was in the fridge for a little longer. It's a shame that once was better.

Yesterday I had an absolute craving for steak and I wasn't disappointed. Even seasoning it with pepper was an absolute delight for the palate. Plus delicious Italian antipasti - I won't forget this meal and will come back.

We wanted to eat pizza and don't eat pork. There was nothing to eat without pork. After we asked the waitress if there was any other meat, we were bluntly told no. Nowadays, when there are vegetarian, vegan, etc., it wouldn't be too much to ask for meats other than pork on pizza! It's a shame I was really disappointed because the ambience is nice. Unfortunately there is not enough food selection and waiters!

An Italian restaurant in the style and quality of a Vapiano, PepeNero, L'Osteria or similar chains, nothing more and nothing less. Very strange lighting outside (see photos). Service was routine and quite quick. It's okay to fill you up, but there's no risk of a repeat experience for us. As inviting as the photos on the Internet look, you feel uncomfortable in this mass processing on site. In addition, the price level is a bit too high for the quality.

The food was very good. The Hawaiian pizza was very good with cheese and ham and pineapple. The salad was very fresh and the dressing was very much to our liking. The homemade lemonade was very refreshing and not too sweet. I can only recommend the tiramisu, it melts in your mouth and is not annoying to watch with coffee/amaretto. Absolute disaster! - The prices were on the individual wedding menu - The meat from the steak smelled bad and spoiled - The shrimp didn't smell fresh either, very fishy, ​​superior - Half of the group (12 people) got their food, the other half only got it when the first group was already finished. This was our second time at Micello's. The first time was a year ago and due to the positive experience we had last year and the very good food, it wasn't difficult for us to decide to go there again. There were 4 of us sitting outside and the service was really great. We can recommend the homemade lemonade in any flavor. Likewise the pasta dishes and the grilled salmon. If you still have space, you can try the panna cotta and the Snickers cheesecake. Many thanks again to the nice waitress. Keep the smile and positive attitude. We'll be back 😊

I've never had such a bad meal in Leipzig. We waited over an hour and a half for our food. There was no response to questions and no apologies. When the food finally came, it was bland. The pasta Mafaldine Pomodoro was missing garlic and any spice. The pasta was comparable to a HiPP jar. Once and never again.

The location is very nice. The service generally takes a little too long. The dishes look very pretty and everything tastes good too. But the pasta dishes don't have much in common with Italian pasta. For me everything was a little under-seasoned and the noodles were all far too soft. Everything tastes good but it's nothing special. I would come back but there are good alternatives.

When the waitress came and asked if the food was good, we said it didn't taste good. She couldn't understand it at all. The nice ambience isn't nearly enough to save the overall bad impression. It was blah blah. Long wait when the restaurant is not even half full. Warm and tasteless pesto pasta for €16 is expensive! The pizzas are a little better. No options with vegan proteins. In short, really disappointed. On the other hand, the waitress was smiling and pleasant.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of dining at this Italian restaurant in the heart of Leipzig, just in time for the European Championships, and we loved it. The atmosphere is warm and cozy even though the room is very large and has a large capacity. The service was excellent, the staff was super friendly, and we felt at home from the moment we arrived. The menu is very varied and offers something for every taste. There are delicious options for vegans and vegetarians, but also for those who prefer traditional dishes. The pizzas are large, so we shared three pizzas for five people - Diavola, Margherita and Vegan - and an extremely delicious salad! After the game on Augustusplatz was canceled, we returned to the restaurant where the game was broadcast on three screens. Moments of pure emotion – an experience that should definitely be repeated.

I love Italian cuisine and exactly what I like to eat tastes great with you... Our waitress, I think her name was “Maria”, was apparently new, but still very ambitious, friendly and accommodating. The prices are okay for Leipzig city center and we'll be happy to come back ;)

Price-performance is very bad. The herb butter with my steak was still frozen and my partner's lasagne was cold. €50 is definitely too expensive for that

I ordered a lasagna for almost €17, but it arrived cold. Then I gave it back. I then had my old lasagna served on a new plate. At least it was warm. - it's a shame, the restaurant looked pretty good, but nothing more. :(

Wir haben uns für diese Lokalität entschieden, weil wir dachten, dass wir dort Fleischesser als auch rein pflanzlich Essende zufriedenstellen könnten. FAZIT: Fleischesser: 2 von 3 zufrieden, weil sowohl das Kartoffelpüree als auch der »Entschuldigungskaffee« kalt waren. Rein pflanzlich essende Gäster: 2 von 2 sehr unzufrieden, weil die einzigen zwei veganen Gerichte ( Pizza Pane &Pizza Verdura) nicht nur lauwarm waren. Darüber hinaus war besonders die Pizza Verdura ungenießbar. Wir hatten den Eindruck, dass niemand jemals die Pizza Verdura selbst probiert hat. In der Theorie mag dieses Gericht lecker sein, doch in der Realität schmeckt sie regelrecht »ekelig«. so als würde man dafür bestraft werdenl, keine anderen Gericht zu wählen, wobei eine rein pflanzliche & gleichzeitig leckere Variante gerade von Pastagerichten so einfach sein könnte... Die Einrichtung ist ansprechend, die Bedienung freundlich. Wäre tolle, wenn die anderen genannten Aspekte es auch wären.
