It's really great to eat here as someone with celiac disease. The restaurant is DZG-certified, and the food tastes absolutely delicious.

Unfortunately, we have to temper our expectations a bit based on the many positive reviews. Maybe they should just eat pizza there, who knows. We had a casserole, and it wasn't particularly tasty, nor could you call it culinary art! Pouring cooked pasta into a casserole dish with broccoli, meat, and a sauce that probably came from a cardboard box was a no-go. We like to spend money on good food, but if you're annoyed afterward, the money is more than worth it. When it comes to pasta, we'd rather stick with L'Osteria. It's just as expensive there, but it tastes really good!

Very good gluten-free and vegan food. They even offer vegetarian options, both vegan and gluten-free. Examples include pizza, pasta, etc. The pizza was highly recommended. The ambiance is a bit kitschy, and from the outside and the decor, it looks more like a pub. Even with the pizza on display. But that shouldn't put you off; the food is freshly made and prepared with love. We'd be happy to come back.

My daughter has celiac disease and relies on gluten-free food. During our vacation in Leipzig, I researched the German Celiac Association (DZG) in advance to find places where one could eat gluten-free. That's how we came across "il Corso," an Italian restaurant. My daughter doesn't really trust strangers when it comes to gluten-free food. Nevertheless, she agreed to eat there. Our waiter (owner?) naturally noticed her mistrust and took her fears very seriously. During our conversation with him, we realized that he was very knowledgeable about gluten-free eating (he had DZG training) and even let my daughter take a look into the kitchen, where there was, for example, a separate deep fryer. This gave her more confidence, and she ordered a cheeseburger with fries. She loved it, and even hours later, she had no complaints. Three days later, we went back to try the gluten-free pizza. What can I say, it was a super delicious pizza. We left a slice behind. I packed it for my daughter, and she ate it cold later, and she enjoyed the pizza even cold. When we're on vacation in Leipzig again, we'll be happy to come back. Thank you for taking gluten-free eating seriously. You feel safe because the business has undergone DZG training. Great!

This is a typical Italian restaurant that serves pasta, burgers, pizza, lasagna, bruschetta, schnitzel... and fries gluten-free upon request, and also with vegan cheese! The chef and staff are knowledgeable about gluten-free issues and contamination in the kitchen! They are currently working on gluten-free certification. But most importantly, the food tastes really good! The gluten-free substitutes are imported from Italy; they aren't available here at all. I discovered it for myself after my girlfriend (who also has celiac disease) has been going here for years and has had no problems. The staff is friendly, competent, and even during peak times, they pay attention to contamination. I haven't had such a delicious gluten-free selection in a long time! Everything is also available to takeout or for large groups. Definitely recommended!

This place is awesome! The people are so kind and the food is great. They have a wide selection of food and treats. They played the best music! I went two days in a row. The second day we showed up 20 minutes before close and halfway expecting for them to be closing. They were happy to cook for us and told us we could come back anytime. Wonderful place. If I lived in Leipzig, I would 100% be a regular!!

I'm currently stationed near Leipzig for work, and I've already eaten at this pizzeria four times in two 15-day periods, and I've been very satisfied each time. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and the staff is very friendly, despite the language barrier. I'll definitely come back again.

An excellent coeliac friendly restaurant which has much more than fast food but the GF pizzas are very good and so are the chips. They have just got their Coeliac suitable accreditation With a highly sensitive coeliac in the family this is essential for us. The staff are knowledgeable and speak multiple languages. Germany isn't an easy country for travelling coeliacs/celiacs but this place means that Leipzig is a lot easier and we can be a bit spontaneous. The food is also extremely good if you aren't celiac. Don't miss the Turkish coffee with cardamom, ask for it to be cooked to ensure it doesn't come out of the machine and you won't be sorry. It's gorgeous.

An Italian restaurant with many gluten-free options. The place has a certificate that ensures that the dishes are gluten-free. We ate fresh vegetable soup that was rich and delicious. A hamburger with a gluten-free bun that was delicious and pizza, the pizza dough is thin, crispy and very tasty. The service was very polite. I enjoyed it very much and recommend the place. A funny conversation while ordering Coca Cola, when the language barrier came into play. 😀 Yes, Cola Original really exists, but Cola Zero is not fake, it's just flavors (original recipe, zero recipe). If you are in Leipzig, be sure to stop here. Great gluten-free pizza (also pasta and burgers), very friendly environment. When there is no time for lunch, they also have the option of taking pizza with them from the counter. Speed, quality, and above all, they care about customers first and foremost, you don't see that much anymore. Overall a great impression.

Gluten-free paradise for celiacs! The restaurant specializes in celiacs. All dishes are gluten-free. The boss is well versed in the topic of cross-contamination and has separate kitchen areas for gluten-containing and gluten-free dishes. They buy the pasta, citizen rolls etc. in Italy, so they don't come from Schär, Hammermühle & Co. They really make an effort. This is definitely not a snack bar, but a small, fine restaurant. The boss also responded well to our children's wishes. The food tasted good and we tolerated it well. Highly recommended!

We had two gluten-free pizzas and were lucky at the same time because it wasn't that busy and we were able to talk to the owner of the restaurant in great detail. He and his employees are extremely trained and informed, they pay attention to the separation of GF and GH and he was able to assure me that they take the issue of gluten-free seriously. There is an extra oven and an extra deep fryer for gluten-free fries. He carefully selects all the products he serves and pays attention to taste and quality. Pasta and burger buns come from Italy, the pizza base is homemade and really delicious - crispy in the middle, very thin and without that feeling of eating half a loaf of bread. In principle, almost all dishes on the menu are gluten-free and sometimes there is homemade, gluten-free crème brulee We felt very safe with celiac disease and went home feeling completely relaxed and happy.

Found by chance. We wanted to have something on hand. Grilled steak sandwich - a dream! Fluffy and yet somehow crunchy bread, super tender meat, great cheese sauce! Pizza with mushrooms very tasty! Thin, crispy base, plenty of toppings, not too greasy. And the price is really good at 14 euros. A little treasure in the center!

I've been gluten intolerant for a year and a half, and since then, Il Corso has been my first port of call for pizza and pasta. The gluten-free pizzas are incredibly delicious with homemade dough; the regular pizzas are every bit as good. I'd almost say you can't taste the difference. The owner is very attentive, super friendly, and always willing to chat to help him improve his gluten-free philosophy. He tries to accommodate all requests. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially if you have issues with gluten. It gives you back a bit of your quality of life. The pasta dishes are also truly delicious. We enjoy going there any time.

We happened to stop at Il Corso on Friday evening. The restaurant is very attractively decorated. Great ambience. We are still thrilled: service was top and the food, first of all bruschetta, then stone oven pizza salmon with spinach and as dessert a homemade tiramisu, a dream. Not only is the food great, we also really enjoyed the hospitality and friendly, warm manner there. We are thrilled and will be happy to eat at Il Corso again when we are here in Leipzig. Highly recommended without reservation.
