An absolutely unforgettable evening in the best Greek restaurant we have ever visited! The greeting was so warm and inviting...unusually great! The food was surprisingly fantastic - every dish a true masterpiece, fresh, tasty and authentic. We were particularly impressed by the service - extremely attentive, sometimes funny and so friendly, you really felt completely pampered. The atmosphere was made even more perfect by the live music; the talented singer created a wonderful atmosphere with her voice. We felt like we were in a beautiful dream the whole evening - a bit like flying on a plane and then suddenly landing in first class. It was just perfect! The architectural details and intricacies of this restaurant are equally remarkable. The lovingly designed elements, which combine traditional Greek inspiration with modern flair, create a harmonious yet stylish atmosphere. The combination of interesting furniture, warm colors and really tasteful decorations makes everything seem lively and enhances the authentic Greek experience. The people who work here made this evening a special experience. This restaurant has definitely found a place in our hearts and will become our absolute favorite place! An incredible evening – thank you for this great experience! We'll definitely be back!

It was a wonderful stay at your restaurant! The food is unbelievably tasty, the shrimps are cooked here, just incredible deliciousness. Polite staff, and even with a large number of visitors, we did not wait long for our order. This made us very happy! Here you are definitely given a lot of respect! Besonders begeistert hat uns der Service – extrem aufmerksam, auch mal lustig und so freundlich, man fühlte sich wirklich komplett verwöhnt. Die Atmosphäre wurde durch die Live-Musik noch perfekter, die talentierte Sängerin hat mit ihrer Stimme eine wunderbare Stimmung geschaffen. Wir haben uns während des ganzen Abends wie in einem schönen Traum gefühlt – ein bisschen wie im Flugzeug zu fliegen, um dann plötzlich in der ersten Klasse zu landen. Es war einfach perfekt! Die architektonischen Details und Feinheiten dieses Restaurants sind ebenso bemerkenswert. Die liebevoll gestalteten Elemente, die traditionelle griechische Inspiration mit modernem Flair verbinden, schaffen eine harmonische und zugleich stilvolle Atmosphäre. Die Kombination aus interessanten Möbeln, warmen Farben und richtig geschmackvollen Dekorationen lässt alles lebendig wirken und verstärkt das authentische griechische Erlebnis. Die Menschen, die hier arbeiten, haben diesen Abend zu einem besonderen Erlebnis gemacht. Wir trafen uns mit ehemaligen Kollegen im Meteora und niemand von uns kannte das Restaurant wirklich. Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend dort! Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und flott. Das Essen (bei mir war es das klassische Gyros) war ausgesprochen gut und sehr viel. Zu erwähnen ist auch unbedingt die Disco-Toilette. Sehr erlebenswert! Es war ein wirklich sehr schöner Abend und ich werde sicherlich auch privat noch einmal ins Meteora gehen.

I am extremely excited about this restaurant. A super nice and cozy interior and a great atmosphere. Hospitality is very important in this restaurant, we were greeted extremely warmly by the owner, and since we unfortunately couldn't make a reservation, we got a nice table despite the busy restaurant. The service was top notch, very attentive and extremely friendly. You didn't have to wait long to order your drinks. About the dishes: At the table a plate with fresh olives - cream, and freshly cut coriander with olive oil is served, there is also oven-fresh bread - it was very 😋 tasty. The salad buffet: Very tasty vegetables for putting together your salad. Lettuce, tomatoes, cabbage, carrots, beans, olives, etc. The freshness and quality can be seen and tasted. 2 different types of salad dressing. Tip top. My gyro plate was great - no frozen food, the home-made fries 🍟 were just great, and the meat was very tender and soft. All in all, simply great. Finally there was a very good ouzo. The price-performance ratio is acceptable and quite justified and satisfactory because the plates feel good. Card payment is possible. And a reservation is recommended for larger groups. I would love to come back.

2 avonden heerlijk gegeten! Mooie porties, erg smakelijk en van goede kwaliteit. Fijne bediening, je hoeft niet lang te wachten. Gezellig restaurant buiten het centrum. We komen zeker een keer terug!

Update: unfortunately I have to deduct a star from my rating because the toilets feel the same temperature as outside at -2 degrees. Unfortunately, that really spoils the fun. But the food was great again! Very tasty food! Because of the different rooms, it never feels too noisy or crowded, even though it is always very full. On the penultimate visit there were small fried calamari on the fish platter, which unfortunately is no longer available - but then you can logically leave out the cocktail sauce on the platter, because it doesn't go well with the other types of fish, which are already very well seasoned, it actually only went well with the calamari. Instead, I would love a slightly more exciting side plate. Dessert is also recommended, e.g. the Creme Brulee, which is flambéed at the table and smells so great.

Fantastic selection of Greek dishes! The starter was delicious, the main course simply outstanding. Plus attentive and friendly service – an all-round successful taste experience. If I could I would give it 10/10 stars! ❤️🤝

We were there for the first time yesterday. The team is very, very nice, the atmosphere was very appealing and inviting, the food was incredibly good. It tasted very fresh and was simply delicious. Really recommended :)

We celebrated our birthday there with a larger group. A top location, best ambience, excellent food, very nice employees. Prices absolutely good for what is offered there. With a birthday surprise from the house including a little guitar playing.

Great show - not much behind it: I can't really understand the many euphoric reviews. We were there relatively late today at 8 p.m. and were left standing in the hallway unwelcomed for 15 minutes. Afterwards there was fish: taramas, calamaris and a fish platter. The taramas with little fish roe and little taste, the calamari too fatty and not crispy, the fish platter okay but a bit salty. Lots of show all around and fancy plates and high prices. Overall, the food didn't live up to the upscale appearance.

We were super satisfied! So far I've been there once for lunch and once in the evening! The food is really excellent, the service is very friendly and attentive! Not cheap, but price/performance is absolutely fair! The atmosphere is also cozy and you get wanderlust for Greece, but after a visit you definitely had a short vacation.

Very tasty food. You don't get the "standard Greek" here. The food is beautifully prepared and is a little different and therefore a little more expensive. There is a self-service counter for the salad beforehand. The look in the store is fascinating and a visit to the disco toilet is also worth it. All in all very tasty.

Rather inconspicuous from the outside. When you enter the restaurant, the ambience is impressive. Excellent service. The hors d’oeuvre is prepared on site. The quality and taste are impressive. The staff is friendly and quick. The flavors of the dishes are perfectly balanced, giving the dishes a unique taste experience. Live music, mocha is cooked on site and special entertainment in the toilets round off the impression. Definitely worth a visit.

We ate delicious food with starters, main courses and dessert at Meteora with 4 people and we all agree that we have never experienced and enjoyed such excellent Greek and Mediterranean cuisine in Hanover. The prices are appropriate for the good quality.

The food is really very good. Whether the different variations of sheep's cheese as a starter or the typical Greek grilled dishes as a main course. Everything is homemade, well seasoned and attractively presented. Despite the large number of guests, the service is quick and attentive. We always enjoy coming here.

The atmosphere and the staff are nice, but you wait forever for the main course. Unfortunately I had to wait a good hour each time.

The best Greek in Hanover! It is advisable to put together a main course from many small starters so that you can try more. There is more than the standard souvlaki here and the quality is excellent. The atmosphere is very pleasant, there are four different "rooms" that are designed differently (be sure to use the toilet 😉) and occasionally there is live music. You should definitely make a reservation.

A 12 out of 10! The food is indescribably delicious and stands out from other Greek restaurants. The service is also extremely attentive and even sang me a serenade for my birthday. It wasn't the last time I was here and I'll be back!

It's been a long time since I've eaten something so good and tasty. Yes, it is a little more expensive than other Greek restaurants, but it is also much better. I will definitely eat there more often.

If you don't want to try the typical cliche Greeks with "classic mountains of meat" that leave you feeling like you've eaten stones, you should definitely go to Meteora. Very important, reserve in good time, even during the week. I would recommend a week in advance, preferably online. We've been enjoying staying there for a few years now, I just unfortunately neglected to give a corresponding review, but you can see this as a long-term study with an honestly deserved 5 star rating. I'll start with the optics. Inconspicuous from the outside, even more beautiful from within. Very individually furnished. The restaurant is divided into different areas, each with a different theme. This gives you the feeling of sitting in a smaller restaurant. You are always picked up at the entrance and taken to your table. There is already a lot to discover. The highlight is the toilet, which men and women should not miss. The food, since we have been there very often, I can say with certainty that it is consistently good to very good. It's more expensive than the “normal” Greek next door, but it can't be compared in terms of taste! In other words, it's worth the money! The service is very good. You can tell that long-term staff work there who enjoy their job. Friendly hospitality makes you feel good and reinforces the already positive atmosphere. The whole thing is rounded off with short live music. A short piece is played without singing, but we didn't experience that on every visit. Conclusion: Great! We look forward to the next visit.

Without a reservation, a table was quickly set up for us - the ambience and service were very nice - the meat and side dishes were very tender and tasty. Always my pleasure! And the boss is always up for some fun on the sidelines - like this, it should be the case in every restaurant.

My partner and I were with you yesterday. My last visits were in 2010/2011. In that time you have improved absolutely 100%. The restaurant looks great and the staff is great. Excellent, authentic Greek food. The olive paste with Jotti’s oil made me want even more. The mixed starters (Meze’s) were particularly tasty and a highlight. The leg of lamb was tender and extremely tasty. The service was super fast, courteous and attentive. With the live music it was a completely successful evening. The disco toilet was also great. That was fun. A culinary experience, mega atmosphere and a cool location. Thank you very much for the lovely evening…we will definitely be happy to come back.

Very good restaurant near the HBF. Great starters, delicious food. To start, warm bread is served with a dip of olive oil and fresh oregano. Fried pepperoni as a starter and gyros as the main course. Unfortunately the gyro was lukewarm and the fries were too crispy. Very nicely decorated restaurant with live Greek music, very attentive waiters.

Very nice atmosphere with charming ideas. The boss is incredibly welcoming. The food (including Girosflaki) tasted quite good, but was difficult to digest despite the manageable portions.

We had the Lemonato(Chicken), Lammhaxe (Lamb), Giros (Schwein)and Sufaki - they were delicious 👌🏻.We love love loved the wine and the atmosphere was so cool. That was GARNIX! An absolute failure on Christmas Day, unfortunately. Our third visit to Meteora was really disappointing, especially with a family invitation for Christmas. From non-carbonated drinks ("...unfortunately it couldn't be better...", that was the boss!), to half-raw rack of lamb that was missing and later delivered, to completely dry fried/grilled meat. Reactions to subtle and very friendly suggestions were also very disappointing. I think you also have to keep an eye on the price/performance ratio. For four people, each with one drink, a bill of over 160 euros raises different expectations. Unfortunately NEVER AGAIN.

Great atmosphere, totally friendly and helpful staff

We were there for the first time and were immediately impressed. The service was excellent and the food more than impressed us. The vegetarian selection makes Meteora stand out in the corner compared to other Greek restaurants. Price-wise, it's totally okay for what you get.

The taste is good but when I order bifteki and after 3 forks I have to say, is that it?! Then the price doesn't match the portion at all. Nobody goes for less than €40 here, because a starter or side dish is definitely a must!

So, normally I don't like to give negative reviews. And actually I can't say anything about the food. Just as little as the ambience. Which is why I didn't rate in these categories. However, I found the service so unfriendly and arrogant that I actually bother to describe it here. And I would like to add that I in no way expect to get a table if I don't have a reservation (and especially not in the run-up to Christmas). However, after reading other reviews that people were able to get a table without a reservation even on a Friday evening in the run-up to Christmas, I thought we could give it a try. Which is what we did. And the fact that it's not possible, as I said, is a given, no problem. However, the fact that we were initially ignored by various (male) employees while waiting obediently in the entrance area, and then learned from a (female) employee that we cannot have a table at the given time without a reservation, made me uncomfortable because of her very arrogant nature so angry that it's important to me to report about it here. So that at least other people who may have similar experiences know that this can also happen with the service that is highly praised in many reviews. As I said, I in no way expect to get a table if I don't have a reservation. However, I would like to find out soon that it is not possible that evening. And in any case I would appreciate being informed about it in a friendly manner.

It was our first time there with friends and luckily we had reserved in advance. The beautifully designed and furnished restaurant invites you to linger and enjoy. The food is great and very tasty and the staff is very polite, friendly and radiates calm and serenity even in stressful situations. It was a successful evening all around and we will definitely come back. Thank you!

We spent a wonderful evening at Meteora. The staff was extremely attentive, professional and friendly. There were six of us, we ordered various dishes and we were all very satisfied. We really enjoyed it. The ambience is also harmonious with pleasant music and beautiful furnishings. We were completely happy.

WOW 🤩 the most delicious Greek restaurant I have ever eaten at! Everything is to the point and very aromatic, a lot of effort is also put into the preparation, everything looks of the highest standard - and at still reasonable prices! And a super cozy and sometimes unusual atmosphere, you really feel at home here 🥂👍🏼 Now I can understand why the store was almost completely booked on a Wednesday evening 😳😅

Incredibly good and high quality restaurant with friendly staff. We were here for the first time yesterday and for me Meteora is now one of the few really good Greek restaurants in Germany.

We have eaten at Meteora many times and are always impressed. The atmosphere is wonderful, the waiters are very friendly, attentive and motivated. I had an approx. 280 gram beef steak from the 800 degree Beefer, which was prepared at the table by the chef himself. Just watching it made your mouth water! The taste couldn't be beaten, it was simply top quality. There were also two gentlemen who played live Greek music. An excellent restaurant that deserves ***** stars.

The two of us came spontaneously without a reservation on a Friday evening. We were immediately greeted in a friendly manner and were able to get a table. The service is very commendable. Extremely friendly, accommodating, you are often asked if everything is OK or if anything is needed. Drinks and food came very quickly! And now about the quality. I don't know when I've ever had Greek food so good. We both had the meteora plate (mixed). All meat was on point and very soft. The vegetables were great, the fries and the sauces were immensely good. Salad buffet also great. Unfortunately we live in the Black Forest, but if we were here we would be regular guests. Highly recommended! Price is higher - but worth every cent!
