Attentive service that begins as soon as you enter the restaurant, usually from the chef himself... Superbly prepared Greek dishes at fair prices in a very cozy setting. The highlight was the live music that evening! We'd gladly return.

Frankly, we were a bit prejudiced when we went, since we go to Greece often and love its cuisine, we thought it wouldn't be better than what we ate there, especially since Germans don't have a good food culture, they were exaggerating this place, but we were wrong. Forget what you ate in Greece, definitely try this place. Fine dining Greek cuisine :) prices are a bit above the city average but it's definitely worth it👍 reservation is definitely required

We spent a wonderful evening at this restaurant with the whole family. A table for 14, fast and attentive service, very, very good food (!), and a lovely atmosphere. Our kids loved the disco in the bathroom and danced there for the first time. But what impressed us most was the food. The only other place we've ever had such great Greek food was in Greece, at my brother's in-laws' house. Prepared and presented with love, finesse, and very creatively. Simply fantastic!

Delicious Greek food, family atmosphere. The restaurant is located at the Hamburg Aller 37 motorway, which is also great if you're driving from north to south Germany. From here, you can easily get back onto the motorway to continue south or north.

The food is simply delicious and freshly made! The disco toilet 😍 what can I say... fits the good vibe. The decor is perfect! We felt very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed the evening!

On a business trip to Hanover, I stumbled upon this Greek restaurant by chance. And chance sometimes works wonders: an unusual setting, delicious cuisine in every way, made with fresh produce. The staff are incredibly attentive to their customers. I recommend this restaurant without hesitation. Since I'm in Hanover for the week, I plan to return at least once, if not more.

The food was delicious and plentiful. We had a platter for two, which we couldn't finish together. The meat was as soft as butter. There was bread with olive oil and olive cream, as well as salt and pepper and freshly chopped oregano. Our waiter arranged everything for us in front of our eyes. He also made a wine recommendation, in my opinion, at my request, so the wine and food paired well. For starters, we also had toasted garlic bread, which might remind you of a Greek version of bruschetta. However, it was a bit more substantial, with arugula, wild garlic cream, and feta covering the bread. Highly recommended, but very filling, so definitely suitable for sharing. We were also offered a dessert menu, but we had to decline because we were so full. The leftovers were immediately packed up at our waiter's request, and we finished with an excellent ouzo. The atmosphere in the back is very light in white and blue tones, which lends a maritime flair; the front area is a bit more rustic and quaint, with slightly darker colors and more stone dominating the material. You're greeted warmly at the entrance and seated, and we couldn't find anything negative about the service. Our waiter was courteous, polite, but not intrusive. The restaurant itself was relatively full, and reservations are definitely recommended, otherwise you could be bitterly disappointed. But despite the crowds, it doesn't feel noisy, but rather lively. Whether it's luck or the rules here, I can't say, but when we were there, a trio of two musicians and a singer played Greek songs at various tables, which added to the positive atmosphere. Finally, even the restrooms deserve a mention. ``` Apart from the fact that they were impeccably clean and tidy, there is music playing here, accompanied by a mini version of disco lighting, which somehow makes you smile.

I've been to several Greek restaurants. The food at Meteora is incomparably good; it's the number one in Hanover. You often have to make a reservation 14 days in advance, as the restaurant is often fully booked.

I've been to many Greek restaurants over the past few years, but the Meteora in Hanover really stands out! I was particularly impressed by the bifteki. In other restaurants, it's often tough as a rock, but here it's sensationally tender and seasoned to perfection. Definitely the best Greek restaurant I've been to in a long time. The tzatziki was also really great, beautifully creamy, with just the right hint of garlic. And what I didn't expect: the toilet! Music and a small disco lighting system really surprised me there, a funny detail I've never experienced anywhere else and which has stuck with me in a positive way. The only downside was the long wait: We waited over an hour for our food. In such a busy restaurant, that might happen sometimes, but it was still a bit annoying. Overall, though, a great culinary experience with a small deduction for the service. For me, that's 4.5 stars, and rounded up: a well-deserved 5.

Special highlight: the toilets 😁 Very attentive team, polite and careful. The salad buffet is a bit sober, but EVERYTHING you need is there. The dishes were very tasty and seasoned. We spent a sociable evening there. There was even live music. Great and thank you!

We went to a stag party in the Meteora restaurant. I can only say it was really very nice. The ambience is spot on and impressed us all very much. While we ate there was some live music playing with breaks. The food was really incredibly tasty. We are all satisfied and can only agree with the good reviews.

Always happy to be here, always discovering new things. Now there is a dry age cupboard, never had such great lamb chops. A real treat. Great service as always, hardly anyone can do it better and we've known some of the service people for 15 years, since I've been coming here. The prices are absolutely reasonable, we will be back.

Wieder mal einen super Abend gehabt. Lammkoteletts in dry aged hatte ich bis dato noch nicht. Ein Hochgenuss. Der Ager Schrank im Blickfeld der Gäste, top arrangiert. Selbst ein 800 Grad Ofen für das Steak steht in der Küche. Sehr ambitionierter Inhaber und ein tolles Service Team, manche kennt man seit 15 Jahren. Alle Sachen in wirklich top Qualität, und es gibt immer wieder neue Sachen, hier bleibt man nicht auf der Stelle stehen sondern entwickelt sich ständig weiter.

With all the great reviews, I expected more. I didn't like my suflaki. Totally over-seasoned and there was something sour on my plate. That bothered me. Lemon juice and oil were probably poured over the skewers. The acid spread from the plate to the fries. If I was English I would have loved it. Bottom line...it's all a matter of taste...it's not mine. I still want to taste what I eat and not just salt and spices. It's a shame, I think I was just unlucky today because even the fries were in the deep fryer for far too long.

My wife and I really enjoyed the food - everything was fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. We were particularly pleased by the warm surprise: my wife was spontaneously congratulated on her birthday by the service staff. A very nice and thoughtful gesture! We'd love to come back.

For a long time, Meteora was one of the restaurants I always wanted to go to in Hanover. Now it finally worked and I know why everyone is raving about the store. It's Greek food on a different level than the typical blue and white restaurants you find everywhere in Germany. From the starter to the main course to the dessert, everything was absolutely excellent. Breads, pastes, sauces, meat everything was perfect. The service professional and efficient. I will definitely come back here soon.

The best Greek food I've ever had. I ate here for the first time with my girlfriend yesterday and we both loved it. Super tasty food, great service and pleasant atmosphere. The only comment I would have would be the cards, which should perhaps be renewed at some point. Mine was already half tattered with loose pages.

We ate here for the first time yesterday based on a recommendation. It was incredibly excellent. Finally an exceptional Greek with extremely high quality. We had great starters and everything from fish to meat and vegetarian items was there. The staff was friendly, relaxed, attentive and totally great! We will definitely come back and recommend it to others. The only thing that was noticeable was that it was quite warm in the room. But the food and the people make up for it and a cool ouzo does too! :)

The food is always delicious, the staff is attentive and accommodating, including the boss ;) and the design of the different rooms is simply great. We recommend that everyone try it. "Sometimes less is more!" It is clear that Corona has clearly left its mark on large parts of the catering industry and also on the population, and it is also clear that at least the majority of the population is holding back on spending in view of the sharp increase in the cost of living. It is therefore surprising that restaurateurs are trying to provide customers with additional incentives in order to counteract the negative trend and, if necessary, even set new incentives and open up new customer groups. However, the Meteora in its current form is more reminiscent of large restaurants in Greek holiday metropolises, where it is more about "milking" the guest. By the way, a trip to the toilet can convey very clearly what I'm talking about within a few seconds. However, when people used to talk about the so-called "quiet place", the ambience and lighting there are more reminiscent of the dance floors of large discos. This also applies to the noise level of blaring music tracks and the lighting, which has about as much in common with a Mediterranean ambience as Greek beach promenades in atmospheric lighting at night have in common with the lighting of various casinos in Las Vegas. The food is served in strikingly large bowls and plates on which the respective dishes are presented quite clearly. At least the food tastes good, even if individual components and attributes are presented in a somewhat exaggerated manner, but they are probably intended to be reminiscent of upscale Chi Chi gastronomy a la Zanzibar or Gosch. At the latest when looking at the prices quoted, even for classic Greek dishes, it becomes clear that they would like to play in a different gastronomic league. However, there is still “plenty of room for improvement.” Conclusion: While the prices and multimedia impressions in almost all areas of this restaurant demonstrate that they are striving for higher things, the taste and portions cannot match the positive impressions of previous visits.

The first restaurant to have a queue BEFORE opening with guests who have reserved a table! But: worth it! Extremely courteous and nice staff, great food, the ambience with food prepared at the table and a disco in the toilet is very unusual, so you accept the higher price range! Fantastic Greek! The location is super cool, beautiful, cozy and much bigger than expected. The service is first class and so Greek accommodating charming. And the food is world-class delicious. I can highly recommend the Greek tapas. This restaurant is highly recommended and everyone should try it out. Repeat is then guaranteed.

Ristorante greco ad Hannover molto apprezzato per qualità dei piatti e per il livello del servizio. Nello specifico, ho preso un antipasto con tentacolo di polpo (veramente buono) e poi ho optato per una portata principale mix a base di carne, tutte molto apprezzate, ma in particolar modo menziono il souvlaki, il gyros e la carne d'agnello. Il ristorante offre anche un servizio insalate e similari a buffet. Conto totale di 61,70 EUR, considerando quanto sopra più un maracuja aperol (buono), un vino e un bicchierino di ouzo a completare una piacevolissima serata.
