Excellent food and service . The mixed mezze was generously portioned and had a nice variety of dishes and the clay pot Lamb with aubergines was amazing .

The service was really friendly and accommodated my special requests (for health reasons) very well, but unfortunately, the selected dish/meal wasn't to my taste. The lamb rolls weren't tender enough for me, and despite the filling, the flavor lacked a bit of zing...and the "fries" were also too greasy for me.

After my first visit 2 years ago I wasn't thrilled, but I made two more visits last month. These two were terrific. From the food to the service to the wine recommendation and the passionate waiter that I was able to enjoy during these days, everything was perfect. I will come again and recommend it to others. I'm not necessarily a fan of Greek cuisine, but Eliniko is different. Mediterranean cuisine with a Greek focus, that's it! A very appetizing "greeting from the kitchen" immediately came to our table, and delicious bread with olive oil, salt and pepper is always included at Eliniko! "Agnello Tonnato" was my first course. Instead of veal, here prepared with fine slices of lamb leg. Delicious! In general, lamb (along with fish) is a focus of the kitchen, which suits me very well. My main course was a bit weak because the "eggplant ragout" was not fully cooked. Some of the eggplant was still raw. My "blackheads" opted for the classic plated dishes, named after the letters of the Greek alphabet at Eliniko, very original. And people were quite satisfied with what was on the plates. The service was very attentive and I also liked the atmosphere. Oh yes, the ouzo is mandatory 😇👍

Established for years with consistent quality. Certainly one of the best Greeks in Hanover. Always ask for the daily recommendation! There are changing, creative discoveries here.

We like going to Eliniko and are very satisfied in all respects. Delicious and beautifully presented food, pleasant atmosphere and above all excellent service! A very special highlight is the 3-course menu on Valentine's Day, along with the small gifts from the house. Absolutely recommended!

I recently visited the Greek restaurant and unfortunately my experience was rather mediocre. The food was okay, but it didn't really impress or excite me. It lacked the specificity and authenticity that I would have expected from a good Greek restaurant. A big negative point was the service. The service was taciturn and the employees seemed annoyed, which had a negative impact on the atmosphere of the evening. Friendliness and attentiveness from staff are important aspects of a pleasant restaurant experience, and unfortunately both were lacking here. The ambience of the restaurant was also disappointing. The facilities were very close together which wasn't particularly inviting. A modern and cozy ambience would certainly have helped to improve the overall experience. Overall, I wouldn't necessarily recommend the restaurant as it has some weaknesses in important areas.

The Eliniko is an upscale Greek Mediterranean restaurant and fully meets the requirements communicated on the website. The restaurant is welcoming and free of kitschy Greek images and statues. The menu is varied; Special attention is also paid to lamb. On our last visits we chose from the lamb menu and were very satisfied. The meat was tender, fried or grilled to perfection and very tasty. Baked potato and hand-cut fries were delicious side dishes, the vegetables were a little al dente, but very good. The very interesting and varied wine list leaves nothing to be desired. The restaurant is not cheap, but has a very good price-performance ratio. The service is very attentive, friendly and approachable. even though the restaurant was full. We always had a very nice evening and will definitely come back. We can thoroughly recommend the Eliniko.

Man kann in Hannover nicht besser griechisch/mediterran essen gehen. Sehr gute Vorspeisen…..Fisch perfekt zubereitet und klassische Gerichte auf einem hohen Niveau. In this restaurant the team has shown really impressive flexibility. Although no suitable meal had been ordered for me as a vegetarian (as part of a group), a great alternative was immediately conjured up. The food was delicious and the service was friendly. Absolutely recommend this restaurant!

Eliniko is the best Greek place I've been in my life. We had to wait a bit for our table and were given a Prosecco as a little treat while we waited. When we arrived at the table there was a little attention from the kitchen. The food as well as the service when recommending the food was first class. After dinner the boss brought us some grappa to taste. On the way out you were shaken by the hand and given an ouzo on the house. I will definitely go here again.

I Have visited this restaurant during the fair Eurotier 3 times, so happy that I found this place, the food is amazing, the atmosphere is so cozy, and the owner of restaurant Mustafa is such a nice person, the same as all the waiters there. Service is pretty fast, waiters are very careful and polite, interior is nice. There are bottle of olive oil and also candle on each table. Portions are really big, tasty and well-decorated. A perfect Saturday evening. First visit to Eliniko. Great welcome from the start and fast, personal and attentive service. Wonderful wine recommendations for excellent dishes. Good explanation of all dishes and wines. In addition to the extensive menu, there are also various daily recommendations. Very happy again!

It was very loud. The food itself was good, but the chicken was a bit dry and there was no sauce! For more than €20, that's a pretty small amount. Likewise the starter plate for 4 people; For €80 it also seems very steep to me. Staff was also a bit hectic, probably because there was a lot going on in general. Nevertheless, it took care of the guests.

Attentive service and very good advice. Food was very fresh and tasty. There was a mix-up with one dish, but my friend got both for one price. That was very accommodating and makes the visit even nicer. We were able to sit and talk for a long time, the atmosphere is inviting.

The Greek restaurant has a convenient location - it is not far from the center of Hannover, on one of the central streets. Delicious wine is served with an appetizer that you didn’t order, and such attention is always nice. The cuisine, service and atmosphere are at a high level. I think that the secret of the success of this restaurant is the refined taste of the owner and his personal presence.

Really great. I thought for a long time whether I could think of any small detail that could be criticized, but there was really nothing that could be criticized in this restaurant. Good service, very good food and ambience. Not typically Greek, everything in blue and white but still very well furnished and pleasant.

Great place with excellent service. Greeted by a great guy who translated the specials for us. Food was wonderful. I had lamb in a clay pot which was superb and a great combination of tastes. My travelling companion had squid as a starter and a rack of lamb and rated it very highly. A complimentary glass of ouzo and we on our way within an hour. Excellent all round

More appearance than reality! There were five of us at a table of 4. Ok, the restaurant was full, but way too full for my taste and therefore uncomfortable. The food was ok. A Greek, after all. A little more upscale than standard. But nothing outstanding. But that's what the prices are for. Which are appropriate. But the kicker was that we were charged twice for a dish and drink and we had to spend a really long time debating that we had all paid. This means that they have no overview of their guests. I'm surprised at the good reviews here. Unfortunately I can't confirm that at all. But maybe they only know mediocre food for a lot of money and bad service.

A very culinary evening at Eliniko.

It started off great and then unfortunately it fizzled out. The gyro was a bit tough and over-seasoned. The fries could be crispier. But the service after we had our food is not good at all. Despite being spoken to several times, we were not served. Only when someone complained did anyone move. Couldn't reorder drinks. And so did dessert quite late. When we wanted to pay, it took half an hour. Regular guests were more important here. A pity !

There aren't that many restaurants open on Mondays anymore: perhaps that's one reason why the service seemed lackluster that day. Eliniko used to be a reliable address for quality food, service and ambience. On Monday the food was basically okay, but the service already brought the main course when the starter was not yet completely eaten. Drink requests with the main course were not asked at all. It's a shame - we used to host many a family celebration there.

I can absolutely recommend it to everyone! We told the service that we were under time pressure and they said it wasn't a problem at all and took our drink order while he led us to the tables. Afterwards there was very tasty bread and a mushroom salad as a starter and, taking our situation into account, we were recommended the lamb fillet with rosemary potatoes. The food arrived within a few minutes and was very delicious. In summary: super delicious food and really attentive, customer-oriented and super friendly staff!

We were on the way home to Mittenwalde. We saw the restaurant at a gas stop. We liked the outside. Very friendly service and very good food. A snack before the meal and a drink (e.g. espresso, ouzo) afterwards. All in all very recommendable.

A very nice restaurant with very good, tasty food. The portions are very rich. The waitresses are very friendly and attentive. The ambience is nice. However, in the room on the right (seen from the entrance) it is very loud when the room is fully occupied. The acoustics aren't exactly good. However, parking spaces are in short supply here. You have to see whether or not you can get a parking space on the neighboring streets. Otherwise, this restaurant is highly recommended.

Even though card payment was offered, the device didn't work. They were neither prepared to write us an invoice nor to transfer money online on site. We were sent to the nearest bank to pay in cash. That's not what I consider to be good service.

For me, this is currently the best Greek restaurant in Hanover - and I've tried a few! The quality of the food is simply top and the service? Nice and accommodating, just like it says in the book. A tip from me: If you love prawns, definitely try the grilled prawns! They taste so good that I almost think they could grow wings and fly away - but don't worry, they stay on the plate! So, grab your friends or family and treat yourself to an evening full of delicious food and good mood. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit!

We were there for the first time and we were really impressed! The service is professional, attentive and yet unobtrusive. The atmosphere is fresh, modern and very inviting. The quality and taste of the food was also top notch. We'll definitely be back :-)

Just seeing the long-haired cook without a hat over the cast iron is enough to discredit the restaurant and, by extension, Greek cuisine. In the end we Greeks will never become Europeans. Pity!

Compared to my previous experiences with Greek restaurants in Germany, I have to admit that Eliniko is in a completely different league. Starting from a TOP service, a very, very good quality food (both starters and main courses), to an exquisite selection of wines. I can't remember anything close to equivalent. I can't confirm the many positive reviews. We went to Eliniko at lunchtime today. The food was bland and lacked any spice, typically Greek is something different for me. Service was a bit arrogant, which reflects the general ambience of the restaurant. Generally not a pleasant experience and I don't recommend it.

Greek with a difference. The menu was sleek for a Greek, it was very bright and modern for a Greek, it was very calm for a Greek. Greek food cannot be composed more beautifully. Modern, light, playful and high quality! The prices were very pleasing, the food was a composition. I always criticize Greeks where I have to pay extra for tzatziki, and I had to here too. But that's just complaining to find something. Compliments to the chef, the waitress and the person responsible for the decor. Everything done right and exactly to my taste! I'll be back, I promise

We ate at Eliniko for the first time today. We have been completely satisfied for a long time. Mega attentive staff, a very nice owner, beautiful restaurant. And above all, an honest atmosphere, not this fake friendly one. The food was also very good. Not too much, just enough for us. We will definitely come back, even if it is about 45 minutes away. 👍🏽

Great food, but when the restaurant is full it is very loud

The food and service are simply outstanding. If there is a large group sitting nearby, the noise is enormous.

Unfortunately we had to wait 20 minutes for our reserved seat because the restaurant was very full, but the waiters were very nice and handed us a Prosecco straight away. The food was fantastic, typically Greek but also unusual dishes. The ambience was very chic, but it was very warm in the room.

As always, right at the forefront. Only the price is a little higher, but you know that beforehand. This happens once a year.

An incredibly great Greek restaurant! We were there spontaneously early on Saturday evening and had a tight time window before attending a concert. The food came very quickly (pork fillet - very tender and so tasty, pasta truffled with high quality lamb strips) and was wonderful. Every single employee was extremely warm and courteous. We felt so comfortable, it was like coming to family! We were only there for 45 minutes and would have loved to stay longer in this particularly outstanding restaurant if we had had time ;-)!

Simply fantastically delicious food with Mediterranean Greek cuisine. Pleasant service and really good prices for the good quality. Went there as a couple and were surprised because it is otherwise always full and looks like it would be unaffordable in this place. But a look at the menu more than surprised me. The prices are really good and what was brought to the table was absolutely top quality. From the fried vegetables to the homemade fries and extremely tender meat. The portions were not as overflowing as at a typical Greek restaurant. There is also a lot of choice, daily recommendations from the house and therefore easy 🔝. Can really be recommended with 10 out of 10 points.

We were at a trade fair in Hanover and luckily came across this restaurant while browsing through the restaurants. The food was excellent (especially the fried vegetables - and that has to be saying something when I say that as a meat lover.) and yet the service still managed to go the extra mile. Very accommodating and charming. I can only recommend the restaurant to every lover of Greek cuisine.

Great restaurant, service very friendly and atmosphere wonderful. When I eat with the ambition of 30 euros, I would like to take away some points. Lamb rolled with goat cheese etc. The taste was great - (unfortunately) the lamb dried out a bit. The hand-cut fries are very good - some are totally burnt and the others are soft after 5 minutes. Maybe fry on two heats. I think that's the claim for the price. The messes were a bit dull, tomatoes tasteless in winter - you have to come up with something. The sauce was very successful and the spinach was on point.

Despite my initial skepticism about Greek cuisine, Eliniko pleasantly surprised me. The food was excellent, and the warm manner of the boss and the waiter rounded off the evening perfectly. A culinary experience that I can recommend to everyone!

I ate mushroom soup today, the soup tasted great. The service was very friendly and nice. It wasn't my first time there, the food always tastes very good. I recommend visiting this restaurant.
