An absolute dream of a Greek restaurant! We're regulars. The price/performance ratio is top-notch. 🥰

Cozy interior and a large terrace. The food arrived quickly and was very tasty. Portions and prices were reasonable. The service was friendly and prompt.

Great Greek restaurant! Very busy, so it sometimes takes a while. But it's acceptable! The ambiance is nicely decorated, but the restrooms could be improved. I can't complain about the food.

We went there for the first time during a short visit to Dresden. The food is delicious and the service is also good. The staff is friendly, needless to say. It might be a bit noisy on the terrace during the day, as it's a few meters from the main street. I can't say for sure, though, as we were there in the evening. And it was fine for me. You're in a big city, after all.

Always happy, a beautiful restaurant with friendly service and a very nice selection of dishes

The restaurant is inconspicuously located on Hamburger Straße between two parking lots of a used car dealership. It's not a particularly nice location, difficult to access, and doesn't offer a great view. The service was okay, albeit very slow, probably due to the busy business. The food was fresh and tasty, except for the free bread with the tzatziki, although we would have preferred a bit more seasoning. It's not acceptable to put old, dried-out white bread around the outside of the basket, leaving only two soft, fresh slices inside.

We had a lovely evening at Metaxa. The food was delicious and the service excellent. Advance reservations are recommended, as the restaurant is always very busy.

It's a great restaurant. We've been there several times and are always pleasantly surprised.

Unfortunately, the evening was very disappointing. Considering the prices, we were surprised that they cut corners everywhere. Even the appetizer had very little tzatziki, the salad was mostly lettuce, and the main course had a few fries and rice. We had to wait 20 minutes for a drink and had to point out that we had ordered more, and after more than an hour, we got our food. The ambiance outside leaves a lot to be desired. Beetles are constantly flying on your head and into your food, and you look out at a car dealership right on a busy street. We had imagined the evening to be much nicer. It's a shame.

The food was delicious and the server very friendly. We sat outside...but that's a deduction because it looked a bit "unkempt." Old, dry leaves and slightly weathered tables. You sit a bit elevated overlooking Hamburger Straße, but that's not a problem. And since it was warm, the trees provided shade. Here, you have to put up with the animals, which are inevitable. But that's nature. All in all, a pleasant stay.

We were extremely satisfied; both the food and the service were excellent. We'd be happy to come back.

Super delicious and fresh. The starter salad could be a bit more authentically Greek (olives, olive oil, pepperoni would be great). Otherwise, the best Greek food and great value for money.

The food was incredibly delicious, from the appetizer to the main course. The garlic potatoes were super tasty. We would definitely visit this restaurant again when we visit Dresden. Metaxa is a fantastic Greek restaurant on the outskirts of Dresden-Cotta. The overall ambiance is a blend of modern and traditional. You feel very comfortable here, not least because the chef and his entire team are very attentive and friendly hosts. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. We will be back 🫶

A really good restaurant, with lots of delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. I can recommend it to everyone. But it's best to reserve a table in advance, as it's always busy.

It deserves its 5 stars! The food was really delicious and the service was very attentive and friendly. The portions were also quite large. I recommend it. I had the 98 gyro with cheese and Metaxa sauce. It came with rice and fries.

Every dish I tried was freshly prepared, authentically seasoned, and simply a delight. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the passion with which they cook. But what makes a visit to Metaxa even more unforgettable is the super friendly staff. From the moment you greet us to the moment you leave, you feel truly welcome and well looked after. The service is attentive, friendly, and contributes significantly to the relaxed atmosphere. I can wholeheartedly recommend Metaxa Dresden and am already looking forward to my next visit!

Truly as recommended in the reviews, a very nice restaurant with very friendly service, and the food we had was truly delicious. I had the fillet plate with lamb, beef, and pork fillets with baked potatoes, and my friend had the zander fillet with croquettes. Before that, there was a small salad plate. It was delicious, and everyone was full. The only thing that's a bit annoying is the traffic on Hamburger Straße when you sit outside, which unfortunately can't be changed. 👍💜

We decided on Metaxa thanks to the good online reviews and are a bit disappointed 😞. Reserving a table was no problem. The friendliness was also good 👍. Unfortunately, we weren't satisfied with the food. We ordered a grill platter for two people. The platter was bland, and the steaks and gyros were very dry, which really bothered me. I've had better meals at other restaurants.

I ate the lamb knuckle gratinated (really delicious) and was served by a real Greek. Parking directly at the house. The terrace is nice but the street in front of it is not. The interior is very nice and tastefully decorated. Highly recommended.

One of the best restaurants I've been to! Greek cuisine at the highest level - everything was incredibly tasty, fresh and served very quickly. The service deserves special mention - the waiters are true professionals: polite, helpful and customer-oriented. They helped choose dishes, took into account all requests and made the evening even more enjoyable. I definitely recommend it!

This has nothing to do with Greek food. Neither tasteful nor emphatic. Unfriendly, impolite, and the food tastes far away from being described as Greek. Meat quality is terrible. I'm surprised it's rated so well, but that shows me that the selection of Greek restaurants in Dresden is poor and people don't know anything else.

The restaurant was recommended to us by the receptionist at our hotel in Dresden. A quick call to make a dinner reservation for 2 was enough. Friendly service who brought two ouzo as an aperitif to the drinks we ordered. After a while of waiting, we receive the ordered food: Grilled pepperoni, grilled liver with gyros and garlic potatoes and gyros metaxa gratinated, with fries and rice. On top of that there was a bowl of bread and tzatziki. Very tasty and well seasoned, portion size completely sufficient, lots of garlic :-D At the end we got two ouzos on the house, we'll be happy to come back

We have been eating here for a long time and would love to eat here again and again. For this reason you have to reserve early and then you can enjoy a wonderful evening. The restaurant is very busy and yet you always receive a warm welcome. The service staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Children also get their money's worth and are always warmly welcomed.
