Very attentive and professional service. Very satisfied with the food selection, and the quality matches the price. I'd be happy to go again.

We didn't have a reservation but they made room for us. Food was delicious.

We were on a short break and spontaneously got a table reservation. The food was very good and plentiful. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere.

The food and service are very good; the only downside is that the restaurant is located on a very busy street, and the outdoor area isn't an option for me. Everything inside is newly designed and tastefully decorated.

One of the best restaurants I've been to! Greek cuisine at the highest level - everything was incredibly tasty, fresh and served very quickly. The service deserves special mention - the waiters are true professionals: polite, helpful and customer-oriented. This has nothing to do with Greek food. Neither tasteful nor emphatic. Unfriendly, impolite, and the food tastes far away from being described as Greek. Meat quality is terrible. I'm surprised it's rated so well, but that shows me that the selection of Greek restaurants in Dresden is poor and people don't know anything else.

The restaurant was recommended to us by the receptionist at our hotel in Dresden. A quick call to make a dinner reservation for 2 was enough. Friendly service who brought two ouzo as an aperitif to the drinks we ordered. After a while of waiting, we receive the ordered food: Grilled pepperoni, grilled liver with gyros and garlic potatoes and gyros metaxa gratinated, with fries and rice. On top of that there was a bowl of bread and tzatziki. Very tasty and well seasoned, portion size completely sufficient, lots of garlic :-D At the end we got two ouzos on the house, we'll be happy to come back

We have been eating here for a long time and would love to eat here again and again. For this reason you have to reserve early and then you can enjoy a wonderful evening. The restaurant is very busy and yet you always receive a warm welcome. The service staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Children also get their money's worth and are always warmly welcomed. We went to this restaurant today and I loved it. The food tastes incredibly good and I can highly recommend the baked steak. The employees were extremely nice. The toilets are quite small, but enough to do your business. There is a wide selection of food and drinks. I would give 100/5 stars. Very great enjoyment. There is also a children's menu with delicious dishes such as schnitzel, pasta and fries. The non-alcoholic cocktails are AMAZING and also taste incredibly delicious. You should definitely have eaten here before. You can also take leftover food with you.

Food was really great. The staff was always friendly and always tried to offer the best service despite the full restaurant. What bothered us a bit was that on Valentine's Day you were asked to pay after a certain time because the next guests were already waiting for the table in the entrance. But nonetheless, we would eat there again.

It's great that there is a Greek restaurant on Hamburger Straße again. Everything went smoothly in terms of service, even during busy times. The ambience inside is tastefully decorated.

Es war einfach ein schöner Abend, unser Essen war qualitativ auf einem hohen Niveau, alles Frisch , das Fleisch und die Zutaten hochwertig, ich bin einfach sprachlos über den Service und die Qualität. Ich bin sehr kritisch was Ambiente und Service sowie das Angebot der Speisen entspricht aber das ist wirklich der Hammer. 5 Sterne der Crew und dem Chef der sich im Nachhinein zu erkennen gegeben hat. We were here spontaneously during Advent without making a reservation in advance. We still got a table with the information that the table would only be available for 1.5 hours. Despite the restaurant being full, the service was great, all the employees were very friendly and accommodating. The food came quickly and was very, very tasty 😋 We can only recommend the Metaxa.

I was in Dresden on business. The restaurant is right next to the hotel. Service friendly, food very tasty. Oh yes, I was here at the beginning of December. It's easy to imagine that in summer you might have to wait a little longer, but that's acceptable given the delicious food. Thank you, I will definitely come back on my next stay

Great service and very tasty food

We were in this restaurant on a Saturday evening. It was completely full and the waiting times were a little longer. Nevertheless, it took 45 minutes until we could order food. That's a bit too long. Food was perfect except for the children's meal. The pasta tasted more like it came from a can. All in all, it's a very nice restaurant if you don't have to go to the toilet. The men's toilet was about 2 square meters, very, very narrow, unkempt and the paper for drying hands was empty. It really had something of a “motorway toilet” about it. Absolutely not possible, compared to the rest of the restaurant.

Still brand new, this “Greek” is located near the Flugelweg Bridge in Dresden. Of course, as fans of Greek cuisine, we wanted to try the restaurant. The “presentation” from outside alone is an eye-catcher. This first impression is clearly confirmed from the inside. The owner attaches great importance to a stylish and modern ambience. The service (3) was extremely friendly and never seemed stressed despite the well-filled restaurants. He even takes the time to have a conversation or two with the guests :). The food was very tasty with one very small exception, but the criticism was gratefully received. Conclusion: Fine ambience, great service, very good value for money and good food. The "Metaxa" has what it takes to become a "root Greek". Kind regards, family Wirth Ps: Even 8 months after our interim visits, nothing has gotten worse! :)

The food was lukewarm. Tomato rice not seasoned. Maybe next time it will be better. Waiters are all very nice.

Went to Metaxa for the second time today and were once again pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was very full (luckily we had a reservation), which says a lot. Very modern interior yet cozy and authentic. Pleasant music, there's a bit of a holiday feeling...Very friendly staff, really warm and attentive! The taste of the food is impeccable, the portions are very generous and therefore the price/performance ratio is absolutely fine. We were very satisfied, recommend the restaurant and will definitely come back!

Service war sehr aufmerksam und auch die Speisen haben unseren Geschmack getroffen sodass wir in die positiven Rezessionen nur bestätigen können. Die Teller waren sehr gut gefüllt und ein Besuch können wir sehr empfehlen.

After a short wait we even got a table, even though the restaurant was completely booked. The service was very helpful and friendly. It took a little longer for the food to be served, but the place was full. The food was very tasty. I particularly enjoyed the liver. The price was more than reasonable for the large portions. We had a lovely evening there, which was not only due to the very good food, but also to the very professional and friendly service staff. It's nice when a restaurant is run like that. Unfortunately, it's becoming increasingly rare.
