Great food, nice atmosphere and nice staff!!!

Top, busy and very successful Greek restaurant. Despite the reservation, we had to wait a while, but the personal contact with the owner made up for a lot. And then the food, delicious! Tasty and large portions for a fair price. If I'm in Dresden again I will definitely have a bite there again.

Food is delicious and plentiful. The restaurant is clean and stylishly decorated. They can't do anything about the view of the B6, the train tracks and a construction site, but that's the only negative thing. You should make a reservation as it can get full even during the week.

The atmosphere on the large terrace is great. The waitresses were very friendly. When the appetizers came, we were thrilled. From that point on, everything took far too long, even if the restaurant was full. The main courses were very promising in terms of quantity, but all the meat was TOTALLY fried and therefore tougher than the soles of shoes. That's just a shame! In total we were there for 3 hours.

Metaxa Restaurant offers a wonderful dining experience that is not to be missed. The prices are absolutely reasonable and are in excellent proportion to the size of the portions. Particularly noteworthy is the unique taste of the dishes, which makes every visit a special pleasure. The service staff is always friendly and attentive without seeming intrusive. You are truly valued as a guest here and are kept in view at all times, which makes your stay even more pleasant. Despite the location right on the street, you can eat in a surprisingly quiet and relaxed manner and enjoy the atmosphere at Metaxa. Overall, an absolutely recommendable restaurant that impresses with both its cuisine and its service.

Located on the outskirts of Dresden, we stopped for a small meal. We were positively surprised by the offer. The prices were also okay.

We also wanted to try a new Greek restaurant, but were also disappointed. My mom, my husband and I. My mom wanted to eat zander fillet and we had gyros or I baked gyros. The food came and my mom's fish was still almost raw under all the parade. When the waiter was asked about it, he took the plate and brought it back. Now my mom sat there without eating for 10 minutes, the fish came back and then my mom could hardly bite the parade anymore. No apology from the waiter or anything and we had to pay full price. My conclusion: expensive and customer service definitely needs to be worked on.

Taste OK. The service (still) makes too many mistakes. Update Have been back twice now... The food is really getting better and better. It's really unusual... Otherwise you always know it the other way around... Highly recommended!

We easily reserved a table for 5 people on Sunday at short notice. At first everything went smoothly, the starters were served and, like the main courses, were delicious. Afterwards our visit took a very negative turn as we sat in front of our empty glasses and dirty dishes and waited in vain for service for more than 30 minutes. After 50 minutes and several waiters passing us carelessly, we finally had enough and ordered the bill. While other tables were constantly surrounded and served by waiters, we literally felt "put on the sidelines". These were the impressions of a tasty meal and such substandard service that you lose your desire to eat. It was definitely our first and last visit to Metaxa, which is a shame.

Well, it's a shame chocolate ... we wanted to try out a new Greek, since our regular Greek is on vacation. We were disappointed. The garlic bread was cold and only fried on one side. The garlic potatoes were also cold, it couldn't be colder. My friend's food was only warm, the onions in it were almost raw. We weren't asked if we were happy, that's why we ate, hunger in women drives a lot. Furthermore, we didn't want to wait that long again! We also waited a long time for the drinks. One waiter can't handle criticism at all, no apology, just the words "they ate it." No, we had the rest packed up because it was warmer from the microwave!!! Unfortunately, we didn't notice any warmth or Greek hospitality.

Best Greek in Dresden When it's full, it sometimes takes a while and the quality sometimes varies a bit Please brown the fries more or maybe use a different type. The dentist is happy the next day. 😂

The service is excellent, everything is great, the price is totally right for the portions. There are no long waiting times either when ordering or being served. I will definitely recommend it.

Had a great evening… delicious food and enough… friendly staff

Very nice atmosphere. There are large benches with a large table, so the seats are somewhat separated, which is very pleasant. There was space for the stroller in the aisle without it being too much of a bother. Unfortunately this had to be carried into the restaurant as there are steep stairs. Food was very tasty and arrived quickly. There are only two toilets for men and women; these can also only be reached via stairs. This means there is no changing table. We'll definitely be back. Staff was very friendly. Parking either directly in front of the restaurant or in the designated gravel parking lot.

Everything is right here. It is very comfortably furnished. The staff is very friendly and you are served quickly. The chef does his job very well. The food tastes fantastic. It is also very child-friendly here. With the best Greek in Dresden. Keep it up!!! Another little update after a long time. Nothing has changed. Still just as good as it was at the beginning. Once again we really enjoyed it and everything went great.

Absolute MUST recommendation! Courteous and super mega nice service. The food is world class! Never had Greek food so good! Cooking points are hit really well without any fanfare, unlike other Greek establishments.

When you're hungry the wait is always the longest, but in this restaurant you'll be rewarded with delicious food. I had bifteki and it tasted great and the staff was very friendly.

Located right on the busy road. Construction work around the house. Food good, but lamb unfortunately too hard. Staff very attentive and friendly.

Food very good, service always friendly even if stressed. Easily overwhelmed when the restaurant is full and there are one or two larger groups. Reservation is recommended. Renovation of the sanitary facilities is urgently needed (men's toilet) otherwise very nicely done and recommended.

Everything here is very tasty, large portions, for 50 euros you can eat to your heart’s content for two people. Very polite staff, it was a pleasure to visit, we will come here again)))

We were there for dinner. We had reserved a table and were seated in the front room. After about 10 minutes a service person came and brought the menu and took the order for the drinks. These came quite quickly and the food was ordered straight away. There was an ouzo and waiting for our food. This was partly plentiful, our friend's was quite clear. But the taste was very good.

Always lovely here. The food is delicious, the service is excellent and the ambience is really impressive. I would like to give 10 stars 😉

The best Greek in Dresden for me. The meat was super soft and very tasty. When I was there for the first time, the boss took the time to talk to us. You can tell that it's not just the regular guests that are important to him. The waitress was very nice and not intrusive.

I have no idea where the almost full 5 stars come from 🤔 there would have been 6-7 people and could be happy that I was only 5 + a small child Spaghetti was too hot for a child, the lamb chops had sweet tomato rice, almost half an onion on the plate in one piece and everything was lukewarm and the tomato rice could have been served as a dessert, very honey-heavy or where the sweetness came from. That's why I ordered tzatziki and it was awesome❗️but I assume it was fresh because every supermarket has tzatziki more bang for it, but they were called fried potatoes with garlic like it said, almost over-seasoned🤦‍♂️🤔luckily I had half my onion on My lukewarm main course and put it on top 🤣👍It's just strange when a small child would rather eat the herb quark than the spaghetti covered in cheese as I said. When I go to the Greek restaurant I want to have a garlic flag and not bite into half an onion and I can make myself lukewarm food and, as I said, it's way too cramped for the toilet where I almost pushed myself as a "giant" on my way out. It's better to go to Athos, but give it one more star because there is craftsmanship behind it and the wine was tasty

Were there for the second time today. This time with 6 people. Everyone was happy and full, the restaurant was full but the waiting time was reasonable. The service was very friendly despite the full house. In the summer you can sit outside, but that's not my thing at this restaurant since it's right on a main street. Maybe you should shield it a bit. You feel very comfortable inside, great atmosphere.

Wahnsinnig leckeres Essen - wirklich hervorragend Gastfreundlichkeit groß geschrieben Würde eine Tischreservierung empfehlen - falls kein Tisch reserviert wurde und das Lokal voll ist, gibt man sich trotzdem größte Mühe um einen Tisch zu bekommen.

Leider sind 5 Sterne nicht optimal um ein Restaurant zu bewerten aber hier wäre jeder Stern abzug "meckern" auf höchstem Niveau. Der Service ist höflich, schnell und unaufdringlich. Die Speisen waren ein Genuss, genau was man von einem griechischen Restaurant erwartet. Wenn überhaupt könnte man die Portionsgröße bemängeln. Es war das erste Mal das ich etwas nicht geschafft habe und es mit nach Hause genommen habe. Das Ambiente ist modern und gemütlich. Der Sessel auf dem ich Platz nehmen durfte war urgemütlich. Rundum ein toller Abend.

Absolut empfehlenswert!!! Allereinziger Minuspunkt: Beim Rauchen im Freien (natürlich) gibt es NOCH keine Überdachung. Wird aber in Kürze vorhanden sein 👍🏻😂

Unser neuer Lieblingsgrieche. Service top und das Essen schmeckt absolut erstklassig.

Die Fischplatte für 2 Personen mit Folienkartoffel war sehr lecker. Als Vorspeise gehörte ein Bauernsalat dazu.

Wir waren zum ersten mal in diesem Restaurant. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich, das Essen war super, alles frisch zubereitet. Wir werden bestimmt wieder kommen und werden das Restaurant weiter empfehlen. Kleiner Tipp: am besten Reservieren, den das Restaurant ist sehr gut besucht.

Kamen nach einer 7-stündigen Anreise, inklusive einem Stau von 1 Stunde, kurz vor 22 Uhr in Dresden an und hatten Hunger. Obwohl die Küche eigentlich schon geschlossen war wurde für uns noch Souflaki mit Pommes gezaubert, inklusive eines Salates. Zu dem war Qualität der Speisen hervorragend. Beim nächsten Dresdenbesuch gerne wieder.
