Meppen in Meppen

Not worth it. Uncomfortable and loud... full of Dutch people. Food was okay (nothing special) and always filled up quickly. However, the buffet area was very dingy and it wasn't cleaned once. The interior is very old. The chairs are a disaster... completely worn out and partly worn out. Don't even get me started on the toilets. The restaurant urgently needs a complete renovation.

I have never eaten such bad food as in this restaurant. The fries tasted like old oil. The minced steaks were more breadcrumbs than meat, the tzatziki was quark with way too much garlic. The pork steaks were dry and the gyros were frozen. In addition, the waitress was a small child and the place itself was very cold. In addition, the food was almost twice as expensive. At least I got my money back. The operators won't see me there again

My wife and I were in Meppen on a Monday for the Christmas market and wanted to eat something around lunchtime. We saw that the Safran restaurant was open and were amazed that they offered the full menu and not just a stripped-down lunch menu. The owner gave us friendly and kind advice, as Persian was completely new to us. The food came quickly and it was very tasty! We were thrilled and would love to come back!

We had a super delicious meal with very attentive service and the atmosphere at Christmas is wonderful. We would be happy to come back.
