Mephisto in Peine

I've never eaten so badly! I ordered Samba pasta with cheese and cream sauce. The sauce was simply a stock cube dissolved in maybe a little milk (it could have just been water)! Baked? It was in the oven for 2 minutes at the most!!! And for €15... I'm speechless. How can I possibly offer food like that?! Mephisto sauce is also just tomato paste with a little cream... Such a shame what this place has become! I'll never order from there again!

Disappointed. I ordered an XL tuna pizza. Unfortunately, it tasted more like bell peppers than tuna (very little topping). When I asked about it, no one bothered to come to the table. A "sorry" would have sufficed. It was my last visit. They gave me at least 10%. 😊 Positive: The waitress (tips are very welcome).

We had a pizza delivered. I'm very disappointed with the quality of this pizza. The ingredients are missing. The taste is poor. It's simply outdated, worse than any €2 frozen pizza. And overall, the price-performance ratio is simply not right anymore. I think it's time to look for other pizzerias.

The service is friendly, although sometimes overwhelmed with just a few guests. It feels a bit like a student bar, but it's cozy and the price-performance ratio is absolutely fine, and the menu is (too?) varied. I can recommend the tzatziki, the bruschetta is okay, I find the pizza bread a bit dry, and the pizzas seem to depend a bit on the day (5-6 adults). In January 2024, there was Irish music. It was completely packed and orders and tables were a bit mixed up, but always friendly. (4 adults) "Events" are supposed to take place monthly, but unfortunately, they couldn't tell us when the next one would be or where we could find information about it. There might be a notice on the door at some point announcing an upcoming event. If you adjust your expectations to the waiting time and the "organization" of the service, you can definitely spend a pleasant evening here.

Unfortunately, I received completely wrong food, and Mephisto is unreachable by phone. I'm hoping Lieferando can sort this out. But that's pretty mean! Mephisto is no longer an option for me. I've always been very satisfied... Until today...

Hello, I'm always surprised by the difference good staff can make. In my opinion, a visit to a restaurant depends on the service – and the waiters play a crucial role here. Despite the obvious problems the restaurant is currently struggling with, I have to say: This is the best pizza I've had in Peine so far. However, I find it a bit odd how many places in the restaurant are smoking – it doesn't look very inviting. I'm convinced that a targeted restructuring could restore the restaurant to its former glory. Online deliveries are a disaster. The delivery times were often extended, which made me sad.

The restaurant visit was a real disappointment. The only thing that justified the star was the waitress, who really tried hard. The rest was as above... The rest of the staff were on their phones while they were in the restaurant. I've never experienced anything like it before. The food was a disaster. My partner and I both had pizzas, which were actually unusual for it to deserve such a name. The dough was okay, but the rest was a complete disaster. The fridge contained pre-made pizzas with tomato sauce that were extremely questionable and had nothing to do with freshness. We each had a cocktail to drink, which was actually quite good, but unfortunately, it didn't save the rest. The place might be good for drinks, but I can only warmly advise against the food.

Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed, both with the food and the delivery service.... Ordering by phone is almost impossible because the young man on the other end could barely understand anything. An Irish folk music party was playing in the background. Which is nice in itself, but at that volume, it should still be possible to take an order! I'm very disappointed.... It takes forever for the food to arrive, special requests are taken but later ignored and met with a shrug! It's a shame, it used to be a really good establishment, as it's right in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, we'll have to look elsewhere.... To make matters worse, the driver now drove to the wrong address. Instead of Sedanstraße, he was sent to Sudetenstraße in Essinghausen because, despite repeated explanations, it wasn't possible to write down the address correctly! The upset resident was kind enough to contact me and give the driver the correct address.... I'm completely fed up.

We used to love being here. But totally disappointed today 😞 the service with the drinks took forever. In order to order food, I had to go back to the waitress and let them know. We then waited quite a long time for the food even though there weren't really many people there. The pizza bread was cold and came after our pizza. Ordered three sauces, received 2 sauces. The pizza that was ordered in XL was just a normal pizza. The extra request to put Gorgonzola on it could not be taken into account. Last but not least, we wanted darts. We were only at the top for about 5 minutes. Since we didn't like the air or the arrows, we paid 5.50 euros without a receipt. Too bad

The pizzas aren't supposed to be bad, if you get one. The waitress seems overwhelmed, doesn't know the menu, and forgets half of it. There's room for plenty of guests. The ambiance is quite simple. I don't need to have it again.

Staff on the phone despite a confirmed Lieferando order were totally incompetent and incredibly unfriendly I ordered via Lieferando, the order was confirmed but not delivered. I then called after about 1 hour and 20 minutes The young gentleman on the phone was immediately irritated and initially said I was unlucky because the boss was no longer there and that I should just pick up my money in person the next day After 10 minutes of discussion, the boss himself suddenly appeared at the door with the food, which the boy on the phone had no idea about and had also told me beforehand that the kitchen had been closed for two hours All in all, I would order the food there again but the guy on the phone really did everything he could to stop me If I were the operator I would have fired the boy immediately because such behavior towards a customer who is in the right is unacceptable...

Whether pizza from the stone oven or minced tacos, there is something for everyone. Was always there when I was at school. The pizza bread with Mephi sauce is also a classic! I am so disappointed in this store. The blonde waitress is outrageously unfriendly to foreigners even though the owners themselves are foreign. You immediately lose your appetite when you are treated so unkindly. Never again. I don't support racists!

If I want to eat a salad, I order one! Farmer's breakfast with pickled cucumber (at least according to the order). Instead, normal salad included. This was definitely my last order!!!

The pizza is OK so far, but the taste could be much better. The absolute shame was that the spaghetti carbonara was clearly warmed up in the microwave. Pasta was swimming in fat, the cream had dissolved into its components due to the strong heating. You can't offer something like that for money.

Iconic pub and restaurant on the market square in Peine. The audience is rather alternative and belongs to the category of schoolchildren and students. The cuisine has a Mediterranean and Persian touch. But there is also classic pizza, although not wafer-thin like the Italians. The Mephisto also offers takeaway food, which is particularly popular with pizza. The dishes are tasty and guests don't have to wait long. The staff is mostly friendly, but changes frequently, so the service is not always perfect, but sometimes it has its own charm.

The blonde, tattooed waitress was very unfriendly and rude towards me and my group. So I would never set up something like that as a customer-oriented shop as a service. Food was okay but wouldn't come back if she's there.

For culinary reasons, a visit to Mephisto is worthwhile at any time of day, even at lunchtime, and at normal prices! The menu offers a large selection, everything tastes very good and special requests can be fulfilled without any problems.

It's only worth 1 star!! Plates are very well prepared, the taste was an absolute disappointment (gyros,) then pasta with spinach (was more like spinach with pasta) tortellini ham/cream sauce, the taste was bad, there wasn't that much going on that evening. Staff was well, work looks different.

If you want to eat a very good pizza in Peine, you've come to the right place! The cocktails are also impressive and don't have to shy away from comparison with other restaurants. I always like to come back.

My friend and I ordered on December 28th and were on the toilet half the night. We called the next day and wanted to speak to the boss. The boss wasn't there, so we were offered something free next time as an apology, called today , unfriendly person on the phone and claims we are lying, he didn't let me finish and said it couldn't be that it came from the pizza. . That's how it was, I said several times I wanted to speak to the boss but he said he wasn't there. I'm now complaining here online. I won't let myself be made out to be a liar, Mephisto is not recommended. Unfortunately it's not the first time I've been to Mephisto, it's now the 2nd time, my husband and I felt really bad for two days with stomach cramps and we just lay in bed. Oh yes, before I forget, the pizza delivery person was also totally unfriendly, said and groaned, but now I really have to walk up the stairs, that's 8 steps, unfriendly staff and unfriendly person on the phone

Unfortunately, the second time the stomach was so upset (nausea, vomiting, gastrointestinal) that it was almost impossible to deny that it was Mephisto's food. The first time it could have come from somewhere else, second chance and same thing Game .. During a friendly call from my wife, she was insulted at the lowest level by the telephone operator when she really wanted to point it out in a friendly way and ask what it was. After she asked to speak to the boss, it only got worse! I cannot recommend this store and if I could, I would give -(minus) 5 stars.. I will now try to get my money back, if necessary with legal action and bring the health department down on the store!!!! Normally you can talk about anything, but if you are insulted no matter how badly you get fired back!!! Especially since the boss said last time we should call and not give a bad review.. So to the boss: Not with us! The health department will be informed and if the refund on Lieferando does not work, Abwalt will send you a letter! And it's not about the amount of money but about the principle and the way you deal with customers... Since you now definitely know our telephone number, you can think again about whether you want to call us for a clarifying conversation, as long as the rating remains! Best regards

Immer lecker, ob Hack Tacos, Pizza oder doch nur ne runde Billard und ein kühles dazu.

Super Service, Ambiente und leckeres Essen Man kann oben auch Billard spielen und Darten.

Einfach hammer, das essen schmeckt ausgezeichnet. Die Calzone ist richtig lecker, die Pizza dort auch, Gyros Teller auch...wir sind immer wieder begeistert wie kurz die wartezeit ist, für solch hammer essen. Bedienung ist super freundlich, man fühlt sich wohl und geborgen. Es lohnt sich dort zu essen bzw es für zuhause abzuholen

Eigentlich schmeckt immer alles recht gut .. Lieferzeit ok, freundliche Fahrer .. aber .. die Sahne-Soße von heute .. Katastrophe .. ungenießbar.. viel zu viel Salz und "Brühe"!? Schade.. wandert in den Müll.

Der laden ist Kult aber die Einrichtung bedarf einer Überarbeitung. Zum Billard spielen sollte man sich eine andere Adresse suchen.

Ich esse dort sehr gerne das Brot und die Salate. Es war heute in der oberen Nische etwas sehr warm. Wir haben dann hin und wieder ein Fenster geöffnet. Die Angestellten waren sehr nett undzuvorkommend.

Entspannte Kneipenatmosphäre, man kann Billard und Darts spielen zu einem guten Preis.

Ich war vor kurzem da, eine Lokalität die sich lohnt. Gemütlich, gutes Essen, freundliches Personal und ab und zu irische live Musik.

Service war sehr freundlich, das essen allerdings war ein Reinfall, von der Vorspeise (Knoblauchbrot) total trocken, über die Hauptspeisen ( Frittiertes Schnitzel und Bratkartoffeln die viel zu weich waren und im Fett schwammen, und auch die Bolognese ein sehr eigenartiger Geschmack (kein stück tomatig ganz eigenartig gewürzt), war alles wirklich sehr enttäuschend.Wir waren zum ersten mal dort und werden nicht noch einmal wieder kommen. Die 2 Sterne sind wirklich nur für die nette Bedienung.

Das Essen war schon immer, und wird immer super bleiben. Cocktails kann man auch hervorragend Schlürfen. Bedienung ist auch super freundlich. Habt meine Empfehlung

Sehr gute Location, wird mE leider zu sehr unterschätzt. Nettes Personal, Billiard-Tische im 1 OG gute preisleistung. 5 sterne wenn die Sauberkeit auf den Toiletten besser wäre, hier gibt es leider Nachbesserungen die gemacht werden sollten.

Seit der Wiedereröffnung ist es echt ansehnlich. Der Boden klebt nicht mehr, schönes Ambiente und richtig leckere Gerichte! Egal ob Pizza, Baguette, Salate oder sonst was. Die Kellnerin war auch echt Super und mega Nett, da hat man gerne etwas mehr Trinkgeld gegeben! Cocktails haben auch ein perfektes Verhältnis und schmecken. Für die Preise super Empfehlenswert, egal ob mit der Partner/in, der Freundesgruppe oder mit der Familie!

Die Bedienung am Telefon war super lieb und hat 5 Sterne verdient. Das Essen jedoch ungeniessbar und ging leider in den Müll....20€ in die Tonne. Traurig. Kann dieses Restaurant nicht empfehlen und es war das erste und letzte Mal das wir dort bestellt haben. Widerlich!

Ein Studentenkneipe aber in Peine gibt es keine Uni... Günstiges Essen auf jeden Fall und man muss nicht resservieren. Es gibt genug Tische.

Been there for a Family Lunch, was nice and inexpensive. the pizza is done perfectly in a wooden fire stove.

Kaum ein bisschen sonne da und ein paar mehr Gäste (18 stück) kommen sie nicht hinterher mit den Bestellungen und sind übervordert. Wir haben eine Pizza und Pommes mit nuggets bestellt und ein coctail und ein Becks Bier, wir haben ca. 20 Minuten gewartet und erst kam das essen und nach 8 min. Das trinken selbst die Herren neben uns die später kamen haben als erstes ihre Biere bekommen (die gezapft werden mussten) ! Die bedienung sollte weniger auf ihr aussehen achten und mehr auf ihre Gäste !

Nach einer halben Stunde rumsitzen , an den Tischen neben uns wurde bedient, wir würden übersehen, selbst auf Zeichen wurde nicht reagiert...wir sind gegangen.... nicht noch mal.

In meiner Jugend habe ich das Lokal des öfteren besucht. Muss feststellen, dass ich hier seit 30 Jahren fast nichts verändert hat. Wer es gemütlich und sauber haben möchte, sollte hier nicht herkommen. Geschmacklich jedoch, und das kann man ohne Untertreibung sagen, war das Essen perfekt. Selten so eine leckere Pizza gegessen.

Wer mit schmalem Budget auf kulinarische Weltreise gehen möchte, bei Bedarf dem Pizzabäcker bei seiner gaumentränkenden Tätigkeit zuschauen möchte und sich an einem kunterbunt zusammengewürfelten sowie zugegebenermaßen etwas in die Jahre gekommenen Ambiente nicht stört, für den ist die jahrzehntelange Institution "Mephisto" in Peine am Hagenmarkt genau das Richtige! Die Pizzen sind der Oberhammer, und selbst man (n) wird dort immer satt! Publikum quer durch die Generationen, mit Hauptanteil der U30. Die Bedienung war zu uns immer freundlich und zuvorkommend, und "Extrawürste" und andere Sonderwünsche wurden stets anstandslos umgesetzt. In Spitzenzeiten, wohl auch wegen des gleichzeitig betriebenen Lieferdienstes, kann es auch mal ein paar Minuten länger dauern mit dem Essen auf dem Tisch, aber immernoch absolut im Toleranzbereich. Und wer die Zeit nicht hat für eine dortige "Auszeit", der soll doch zu einer Schnellburgerbraterei gehen... Also ehrlich... Ungeduld ist keine Tugend... Weiter so, Mephisto, iht seid für uns einfach teuflisch gut!

Die Bedienung machte einen guten Job und war emsig bemüht. Eine Stunde Billard im zweiten Stock hat richtig Spaß gemacht....Die Atmosphäre hatte etwas von einem Zeitsprung in eine Teestube der 80 Jahre....Nur kein Tee! Wir haben uns bestens amüsiert und kommen wieder

Wäre es eine Hochschulstadt, hätte das "Restaurant" die Daseinsberechtigung einer Studentenkneipe. Peine hat jedoch keine Uni. Somit ist es, was der Name vermuten lässt, das Tor zur Hölle. Klebriges Inventar, schmuddelige Gläser, unterirdisch schmeckendes Essen. Da ist man beinahe dankbar, wenn die Bedienung die Bestellung vergessen hat...

Das Essen stand fix und sehr lecker auf dem Tisch. Sehr gut fand ich, dass darauf geachtet wurde, dass das Essen für mehrere Personen relativ zeitgleich auf dem Tisch stand. Die Speisekarte bietet eine große Auswahl und der Service war sehr höflich, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Danke :)

Gut besuchter Laden mit netter Bedienung. Muss Ehrlich sagen, wenn nicht so viel los ist schmeckt das Essen besser, weil sich mehr Zeit dafür genommen wird. Nichts für 'Spießer oder Choleriker' Sehr Alternativ, einer der Wenigen Restaurants wo man einen Raucherbereich hat und auch seinen Hund mit rein nehmen darf. Find ich genial. Günstig, große Portionen und Köstlich.

Waren eben im Mephisto in peine(13.2.2016, 21.00 Uhr). Haben eine halbe Stunde auf eine Bedienung gewartet. Die Kellnerin zog es eher vor gegenüber von uns mit ihren Freunden am Tisch Smalltalk zu halten. Sind dann gegangen. Eine echte Frechheit.
