All in all “ok”. Doesn't particularly stand out. The breakfast is good but quite expensive. We spent 40 euros here for 2 people, which I thought was quite a lot for 4 rolls and something else. The staff is relatively nice, but you can save yourself a few jokes in the future and perhaps leave less than 15 minutes for a glass of water if the restaurant is empty. You could also clean it more often, there are cobwebs everywhere. In a place where I'm eating, I don't need to have something like this directly in my field of vision (especially around windows and lighting).

I am very satisfied and can only recommend it. Food was very tasty and also very plentiful. The staff was super nice and helpful. Will definitely come back 👍

Food very tasty, but the staff doesn't have a clear structure. No division of tables, etc. This means that we are sometimes asked several times whether we have ordered. Food doesn't come at the same time. It happened that we were ignored for half an hour because no one felt responsible. When paying, there is the problem of getting someone to the table. Even drinks sometimes take longer. If the staff had been divided up, everyone would have their tables and would know who ordered what and when. But kitchen OK. Rooms beautifully furnished!

The Hemingway in Peine is an excellent restaurant. Everything from schnitzel to pizza is included. So far I haven't had a moment where I didn't like the food. The staff is very friendly, has a good eye for the guests and takes care of every matter related to hunger. Except for the sanitary facilities (which are unfortunately a bit too uncomfortable and tasteless) everything is kept nice and clean, which is why only 4/5 stars. Addendum 08/25/24: One or two years ago there was visibly little staff. This has now (at least today) improved enormously. I'm very happy with what I got today. Thanks!

We actually wanted to celebrate the testimonies. But unfortunately one of the two tables we had put together was spontaneously given to other new guests during our stay and was basically pulled out from under our plates and placed at the other table. There were then three of us at a table for two. The 4-seater table next to it, where we were supposed to put our things, drinks, etc., hadn't even been cleared away yet. The children had - rightly - the feeling that other guests were much more important than us. Sad. And a really bad feeling - the high spirits were gone. Appreciation is different; you could also have asked politely. By the way, there would also have been other connected tables for the new guests... Conclusion: we always enjoyed being there - but we'll stop doing that from now on!

Nice atmosphere and good staff. Unfortunately the food was a bit poor. My burger, which was beautifully presented, had little flavor. My sister-in-law had a schnitzel that looked a lot like molded meat from the deep fryer. Still a cozy place though.

The Hemingway Peine is located at Am Markt 31, 31224 Peine. This is a good restaurant. The atmosphere there is very pleasant and the ambience is also very nice. Furthermore, only good guests come here. I recently drank a nice beer here and ate a salad with chicken strips. Both were very delicious. We spontaneously visited here last night and managed to get a spot. The waitresses were very friendly and accommodating and the food was very tasty, warm food seemed to be served until 9 p.m. but guests who arrived later were also allowed to choose something to eat. Great experience. We also thought it was nice that before they wanted to clean the coffee machine they asked again if we would like another hot drink.

I'm very sorry, but today's outside service was a complete disaster. Not only that I had to wait a whole 20 minutes before we could order, even though the outside area was only half full. That you need another 20 minutes for hot water and only notice at the table that the tea bag is missing. What can I say? Another 5 minutes to add the tea bag…no words. The same game with latte macchiato. This was ordered with extra sugar. This was then brought completely without sugar. The waiting time for sugar: ~ 10 minutes including multiple requests. …no comment… Luckily we didn't try food. I don't want to imagine what additional waiting times would have resulted. When I tried to pay there was again a 30 minute wait. Wow, at least the requested receipt was given after only 2 minutes. Given the service, it is understandable that individual customers at the neighboring tables left without ordering. It's hard to get good staff, but you don't have to hire everything that doesn't come along quickly enough. Sorry but unfortunately not recommended.

But friend of the good weather, we ate outside. The food was very tasty and fits the price and performance ratio. The staff was friendly. Sometimes we were surprised that new drinks were brought, but the other dishes or glasses were not cleared away. The tables should definitely be wiped down again before use, that would be great.

Unfortunately I had a snail in my salad today that I chewed well 🫣 It can happen! However, the waitress' reaction didn't work at all: "We've had this before, so at least they know it's fresh!" 🥴 No excuse, no replacement. A pity! Unfortunately it was my last visit... Update: The restaurant's response that they apologized and offered me a new salad is a lie. The whole thing is very sad!!!

Pretty restaurant in a historic atmosphere. Nice interior, cozy rooms, unfortunately a bit cramped and tables so close together that you can't ignore the neighbors' conversations. The meat and bread for the burger were dry, hardly any sauce, fries from the oven? Salads were ok, but no highlights either. You could have a cocktail evening (good selection, also non-alcoholic), but it's better to eat somewhere else.

The “Hemingway” has been based in the former town hall of the city of Peine for years. Whether you want to eat well, enjoy breakfast, get business advice or just have a coffee, you are in good hands here. The service is always friendly and quick and the prices are also at an average level. Only the stairs in front and the entrance would make a visit a little more difficult for those with walking difficulties. In summer, the restaurant also offers outdoor dining on the historic market square.

We were there with 9 people. The first round of drinks worked great. Everyone received their food at the same time and everyone enjoyed it. Thumbs up for that. Getting drinks the second time was more difficult. The empty plates also sat on the table for ages. Unfortunately there is also a lack of staff here, which is a shame. And as I've said many times, it's very loud.

The place is very nice. It has a modern style. It is well located and easy to find. They accept children and the dishes look good.

A very cozy and nice restaurant, from the outside the building is simply marvellous and once inside you can feel warm and welcomed by the staff that was all they way through very nice, the food was excellent and came very quick, less than 15 min wait to eat, the table at our side order more that 6 different things and everything looked very good, we are definitely coming back again to try all the food we saw at the other table. 😉

Super delicious food will visit again

We were at the Hemingway on February 18th to celebrate a 30th birthday. We were super satisfied. We were even allowed to use the stairs in the entrance area to "sweep" or bring our own decorations for the tables. The food was very tasty, the burgers with fries and the pork medallions were great. The employees were super friendly and responded to all requests. We will come back to Hemingway Peine at any time.

The location is very good, in the middle of the city on the historic market square. The food was delicious and the service was friendly. Due to the large number of guests, the volume was correspondingly high.

I had breakfast there for the first time today and found the atmosphere very nice. The only drawback is that I don't think it's handicapped accessible. If you want to go to the toilet, you have to go up the stairs and the toilets are very narrow. That would be difficult for someone with a wheelchair. It would also be difficult for my mother because she has knee problems and has trouble climbing stairs. Otherwise, I was satisfied. The restaurant was clean, the service was friendly and the breakfast was good. I would go there again and again go there.

The location is good, a bit drafty at times. But that's because of the really old building. The food is delicious and the portion size is good too. The prices have increased quite a bit, but are still okay. The only drawback is the noise level. When the restaurant is busy and people talk a lot, it's sometimes hard to understand the person you're talking to...

War Silvester mit meiner Frau da . War wie immer lecker, kurze Wartezeit aufs Essen und nettes Personal... Weiter so...

Eine schöne Gastronomie mit tollen Servicekräften. Leckeres und reichliches Essen wird heiß an den Tisch geliefert. Sanitäreinrichtung sind tadellos in Ordnung und sauber. Parkplätze sind ausreichend vorhanden, nur man muß etwas laufen.

Weihnachtstag im Hemmingway. Ich hatte die Brokkoli-Röschen. Brokkoli und Soße Hollondaise ist eine Kombination, die einfach funktioniert. Die Röstis, die es dazu gab, waren lecker, wobei es hier anstatt 2 Stück 3-4 hätten sein können. Das Knoblauchbaguette, welches oben auf dem Teller lag, wirkt hier eher verloren. Klar hat auch dieses gut geschmeckt, passt jedoch nicht 100 % zu dieser Kombination. Meine Begleitung hatte den Hemmingway Spezial Burger. Hier war das Bun zu kross, die Tomatenscheibe zu dick geschnitten und die Zutaten nicht perfekt verteilt. Am „schlimmsten“ war hier das Fleisch, welches nicht frisch zubereitet war. TK-Produkt? Nicht passend für einen Laden, der für sein tolles argentinisches Fleisch in der Karte wirbt. Die Atmosphäre ist ganz gut. Der Service wusste jedoch nicht genau, welcher Fleischersatz in ihrem „Veggie Burger“ ist. Wenn man sich hier noch die Preise vor allem für die Burger anschaut dann hat man hier einen mittelmäßigen Laden. Ist Hemmingway mit 4,2 Sternen zu hoch bewertet oder liegt es hier am Weihnachtsstress? PS: Während ich diese Bewertung geschrieben habe, gab es ein paar Weine zum Anlass geschenkt :)

Super Laden, hier kann man gut und reichlich frühstücken. Das Personal ist sehr bemüht und schnell. Der Laden ist jedoch oft voll das es ratsam ist einen Tisch zu reservieren. Gutscheine sind hier auch möglich

Essen ist super, Service ist super aber die musikalische Untermalung ist IMMER zu laut und die Tische sind viel, viel zu eng gestellt. Eine entspannte Unterhaltung kann man da vergessen. PS: Es kann auch schon mal vorkommen, dass man mehr Getränke bezahlen soll, als man hatte, wenn Kellner A die Bestellung aufnimmt, Kellner B die Bestellung bringt und BEIDE es auf die Rechnung setzen. Hallöchen, zu aller erst bin ich aus Hannover angereist, um dieses Lokal aus Weiterempfehlung auszuprobieren. Das Ambiente ist wirklich wunderschön und sehr gemütlich und edel. Das Personal, bzw. die Bedienung "hellfarbendes Haar" ist einfach unmöglich drauf gewesen, sorry. Wenn man keine Lust auf den Job hat, gerade in der Gastro sollte man auf Höflichkeit und normalen Ton achten... Dies muss ich leider sehr bemängeln, zornig ohne Ende, arrogant und echt nur unfreundliche Antworten von sich gegeben!Zu meiner Verteidigung waren wir zu zweit und selbst gute Freunde, die aus BS angereist sind, haben die Kellnerin ebenso empfunden! Zu unserer Situation, da ich für die Qualität der Sicherheit stehe und wir nicht irgendwelche "Gäste"waren erzähle ich Ihnen jetzt mal zur Bedienung: Wir haben uns Cocktails bestellt, mein Cocktail war lecker, doch das Cocktails meines Partners ein Mojito war ja vllt 2 cl Alkohol drin. Trotzdem lecker. Wir haben uns zwei Hauptgerichte plus großen Salat bestellt.. Das Essen wäre vllt lecker gewesen..man weiß es nicht..hierzu folgt folgendes: Nach 1.5 Stunden Wartezeit war das Essen immernoch nicht serviert..abgesehen davon das vier Tische neu belegt worden sind und deren Gerichte, die auch aufwendig sind vor uns serviert worden sind unter einer 1 Stunde. Als wir die Kellnerin ansprachen, ging es, wie schon bei Ihrer ersten Bedienung an unserem Tisch (Bestellaufnahme) weiter mit Ihrer unfreundlichen Mimik und Tonlage, also sowas von respektlos, habe ich selten im Restaurant erlebt. Sie hat uns gesagt, dass aus technischen Gründen alle Bestellungen gelöscht worden waren und die Küche daher nicht weitermachen konnte.. Jetzt komme ich.. Punkt 1, warum muss man als Gast nach 1.5 Stunden Wartezeit selbst sich die Mühe machen und zu erfragen, wo das Essen bleibt? Punkt 2, wenn es aus technischen Gründen in der Kasse an Bestellung verloren gegangen ist, was keine Seltenheit ist auch in anderen Restaurants, sind die Kellner des Hauses selbstverständlich so gastfreundlich und gehen selbst auf die Gäste zu und entschuldigen sich erstmal und erklären die Situation selbst. Und nehmen dann halt per Stift und Papier die Bestellung erneut auf, wenn die Technik versagt..aber nein wir wurden einfach warten gelassen und auf Nachfrage, werden wir noch zornig behandelt und nicht mal eine Entschuldigung kam entgegen. Unmöglich einfach. Wenn es so wäre, warum haben dann vier neue Tische Ihr volles Buffet an Bestellung erhalten?, trotz Systemausfall? Geht man so mit Gästen um? Die anderen Gäste haben unsere Situation bemerkt und haben ebenfalls den Kopf geschüttelt. Fazit, nach unserer geduldiger Nachfrage an die Kellnerin, hieß es eine weitere halbe Stunde später jetzt geht es wieder weiter.. Ehhmm warum hat man nicht per Hand notiert?, um die Gäste nicht verhungern zulassen? Unser Aufenthalt ohne das Essen gesehen zu haben, waren genau 2 Stunden und 47 Minuten! Was soll man dazu sagen. Unmöglich und ich möchte es mit anderen teilen, denn das ist ja wohl eine Frechheit! Trotzdem, werden wir dem Ambiente irgendwann noch einmal die Chance geben, das Essen zu kosten.folgt ein weiteres Mal zu so einem unverständlichen rücksichtslosen Verhalten der Bedienung, gibt es eine zweite Beschwerde, Bewertung. Jeder hat eine zweite Chance verdient, sollte man schätzen. Ich wünsche Ihnen nettes Personal in Zukunft und eine andere Vorgehensweise bei Systemausfall ☝️😉

Tolles Lokal im Zentrum von Peine. Offenbar eine doofe, weil sehr belebte Zeit. Die Bedienung hatte alle Hände voll zu tun. Wir, die das erste Mal dort waren, fühlten uns etwas allein gelassen. Im Gastraum waren alle Tische belegt, was für eine sehr laute unruhige Atmosphäre sorgte.

Vielen Dank für einen sehr schmackhaften Abend, Putensteake auf den Punkt gegrillt, Soße harmoniert perfekt mit dem Fleisch, Kartoffelecken genau richtig hinbekommen, dafür haben wir gerne 22 Minuten gewartet. Wir kommen definitiv wieder und werden euch auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen.

Spitzen Gastronomie in jeder Beziehung. Beim nächsten Busuch in Peine komme ich wieder.
