A restaurant specializing in homemade Italian food. The owner was so warm and inviting, while explaining to us all of the fresh pasta options to choose from. To be honest, it was a hard choice as they all sounded amazing. The house wine was the perfect complement to the meal.

The food was amazing and he makes the pasta’s himself. The gnocchi are little flavour bombs that you can’t get enough of and the lasagna was fantastic!

The food was incredibly delicious! In addition to the normal menu, there were three different fresh and homemade pastas, each with a different filling (veggi but with Parmesan). All three were really good and I loved them! Absolute recommendation! The landlord was also super nice and accommodating. Actually a reason to come back to Berlin! The restaurant can (unfortunately) only be entered via a few steps, but there are a few tables outside, where you could also eat with a wheelchair or something similar, but the toilet is unfortunately not barrier-free either. *** The food was unbelievably yummy! On top of the regular menu there were three different, fresh and homemade pasta with different fillings (veggi but with parmegan). All three of them were really good and made with love! Big recommendation! The boss was also super nice and caring. actually a reason to come again to Berlin! The restaurant can only be accessed over a few steps, but there are a few small tables outside, it would be possible to eat there in a wheelchair (or similar), but the washroom is not accessible.

The food was super tasty, everything was freshly prepared in-house, the portion was a bit smaller than other Italian restaurants in the same price range, but it was still completely worth the money. The owner was super nice and, despite the fact that he prepared the food alone, was very quick. We'd love to come back!

Homemade by nice people, very good quality, very tasty. Slightly more expensive than usual Berlin. But very normal European prices, or almost low for that level of quality!

The lasagna is delicious and certain pasta as well, such as their ravioli. However the vegan bolognaise is way too oily and there is too much garlic in the sauce. The service varies from the day to day. Sometimes the couple that owns the place can be very sweet and on other days pretty rude and sassy 💁‍♀️. I guess that’s Berlin.. price wise it’s okay, perhaps a bit overpriced in comparison to other places around there .

The food is good, even if the prices have risen considerably and the portion sizes have certainly decreased. In the end, the waitress accused us of deliberately forgetting to pay for our espresso. It makes you wonder who has the computer and cash register in front of them during the payment process. That wasn't worth the tip previously paid and leaves a bad aftertaste. Especially in light of the many options for eating lunch nearby...it's a shame...

Words cannot describe this experience, this is not a place for a quick snack it's a whole attraction. Once you put the food on your tongue you will be brought to Italy. The risotto was pristine, the gnocchi was delicious and the old man knows his cooking and service well! Not only did he provide us with great food he also did this all by himself. If this restaurant was in my city I would've probably been very fat from all the food!!!!

We were there on Saturday, there were two of us and we wanted to have a coffee, whether at the counter or at a small table. There were at least 3 free tables but the owner and the waitress sent us away very rudely, he just said "no" when I asked if we could have 2 coffees. It was 3:37 p.m. and according to Google Maps, rs was supposed to be open until 9 p.m. It's unbelievable how unfriendly you can be! Subsequent addition in response to the comment below: We would have liked to have been understanding if you had politely told us this, but that wasn't the case, we were just told: "No" with a rude hand gesture, no smile and no explanation. So outrageous

Incredible atmosphere, the man cooks everything by hand alone and it is delicious! I came from a trip and that's what I had for dinner for three days trying new things and every day I was surprised by how delicious it is 💗

We actually wanted to go to Reinhardtstr. on Sunday around 3:00 p.m. to a Thai restaurant that was unfortunately closed. So we quickly found the Italian restaurant MENSA. From the outside it seemed small, but above all somehow “Italian” and in the best sense of the word. We were warmly welcomed and given good seats in the almost empty restaurant. The space is not huge, around 25 places. The owner, who is all things considered, explained that he prepares everything fresh and the ingredients are handpicked. The daily menu is manageable and therefore promisingly good. A house wine “Merlot”, which really developed beautifully in the large glass and tasted wonderful with food. The wine was really great. As always, there was some bread with olives. Both very appealing, spicy and appetizing. We ordered gnocchies filled with truffles and goat cheese and they were really tasty, very well balanced. At first I thought, “well, not a lot,” but I actually became wonderfully full and didn’t leave a crumb on my plate. That would have been sin and an unacceptable act of self-denial. Then we ate a piece of the freshly prepared almond tangerine “cake” (?), which, according to the friendly owner, had just reached the required level of firmness. He was wonderful. A really great espresso and a fantastic grappa on top concluded a really great restaurant experience. The bill was completely reasonable for good food and drink. At the same time, discreetly charming music could be heard, which did not obscure the pleasant atmosphere, but rather underlined it. Very stylish. We spoke to the owner some more. We were just alone in the restaurant and would like to thank you again for the pleasant welcome in every way. My wife and I are certain that we would like to go there again at any time and would also like to wander a little further through the city. Thank you very much, Dear Mr. Ammouri, we can really benefit from your spirit and standards here in many areas. The truth always prevails in the end. With this in mind, have a nice Advent season everyone, in the chaotic traffic light year of 2023.

Whenever I'm in Berlin, the "Mensa" is a fixed item on the program. The food is wonderful, the owners friendly and accommodating, and the prices are reasonable. When the weather is good you can sit outside and watch the hustle and bustle. P.S.: When my family visited from abroad, I also came here with them and they were just as enthusiastic.

Kleiner italienischer Ein-Mann-Betrieb. Service war ok. Leider wae das Essen nicht wirklich gut. Gemischter Salat nur mit Tomaten und Salatblätter mit zuviel Essig. Wir hatten drei Hauptgerichte: Risotto mit frischen Pfifferlinge war gut. Gnocchi mit Trüffelfüllung war gar nicht unser Geschmack, da Gnocchi viel zu trocken und schwammen in einem großen „See“ mit Soße. Die Gorgonzola Penne waren ok, aber auch nicht mehr. Gibt besser italienische Küche. Das Ambiente war ok

Food was sensational - highly recommend the classic lasagna and a salad. Owner was so accommodating - was a quiet night and he seemed to be packing up but was very friendly and allowed us to stay for dinner. Our best dinner in Berlin (actually across our whole Europe travels of the last 3 weeks). Highly recommend this place - if only we had found it earlier! The wine was excellent too - Frascati!

Der Mists Salat war ok, wobei ich 8 Euro für ein bisschen Blattsalat mir 3 Cherrytomaten nicht gerade ohne fand. Er schwamm in einem sehr öligen und ziemlich sauren Dressing.

Abends (17.10 Uhr) MUSS man was essen. Nur mal ein schneller Kaffee ist dann nicht möglich. Der Chef bittet einen in diesem Fall höflich-deutlich zu gehen.

Authentischer Italiener mit guter Lage in Mitte. Sympathische Mitarbeiter und leckeres Essen. Hat uns direkt an unseren kürzlichen Urlaub am Lago di Como erinnert. Kommen gerne wieder! (Vegane Gerichte gibt es übrigens ebenfalls!)

Not so good. Rucola salad included lots of tough stalks. Nice mozzarella , too much dressing though. Service a bit unfriendly, price a bit steep ..23 euros for salad, glass of wine and a coffee.

Gute italienische Küche in einem kleinen Restaurant zu einem Preis, der für die Gegend okay ist. Für ein Mittagessen mit ein wenig Marktatmosphäre, ohne gehoben zu sein, ein super Ort. Besonders die Lasagne genießt zu Recht einen guten Ruf in diesem Restaurant.

Dies ist einer meiner Lieblingsorte, denn der sehr freundliche und nette Köche werden mich immer begrüßen. Es gibt die beste Lasagne in Berlin! Ich würde gerne auch Aglio Olio empfehlen.😉 Ich möchte noch einmal hervorheben, dass die meine Lieblingslasagne ist. Und die Oliven hier sind köstlicher als in jedem Geschäft. Ich könnte Oliven kaufen, wenn ich fragte. Sie können diese köstliche Olive zu Hause genießen. Die Dekoration im Inneren des Ladens ist sehr süß und man kann sich mit den freundlichen Köchen unterhalten. Die Desserts sind auch sehr lecker, wenn Sie Ihr Essen genießen, empfehlen wir Ihnen, es mit Kaffee zu sich zu nehmen.

Very very rude people. The Chef was very agressive towards me and another customer. Plain shouting, no sense of hospitality whatsoever. Don’t support this behaviour with your time and money. Several far better options round and about.

Our family of four all agreed that this was the best Italian food we have ever had! The chef/owner makes everything fresh and it was fantastic. The fig ravioli with pesto cream sauce was outstanding, as was the spinach gnocchi and lasagna. The tiramisu and cannoli for dessert were excellent as well. Again, all handmade right there. Definitely worth visiting while in Berlin!

Rote Beete Gnocchi mit Walnussfüllung mit Gorgonzolasoße vom Feinsten, eine so freundliche Bedienung (hätte wetten können, es war Bürger Lars Dietrich) und in direkter Nähe zum Friedrichstadtpalast. Ein tolles Erlebnis.

I have ordered lasagna with meat. But to be honest it was more like veggie option, i have seen only tiny pieces of meat, which kind of unfair for that price. The cheese and pasta amount were ok. Served with bread. Waiters could have been friendlier.

Real handmade food. Wonderful atmosphere and welcoming staff. The Italian food was so amazing. This was one of my favorite restaurants in my 3 weeks traveling in Germany.

What an absolute hidden gem, I'm so happy I found this place. I'm basically unhealthily obsessed with Italian food. I'm not sure if this place is well known or not but it definitely deserves to be - I could eat here every day if I weren't a little embarrassed to do so, haha :) It's such a cosy, lovely space and you can tell that people who love it eat here often. The waiter was very sweet and patient with me (my German is terrible) and the chef (and I presume head honcho) was absolutely adorable and brought me my food himself, with a smile. I ordered the handmade beetroot gnocchi with a filling that I think had nuts and other deliciousness in it, bathed in the most sinfully delicious gorgonzola sauce... it was the stuff of dreams. The gnocchi were perfectly soft, an amazing colour, big and pillowy, and I would happily drown in the sauce. All topped off with parmesan, because, why not? I wanted to go back and try more things before I left this review, but honestly I think it deserves 5 stars regardless (and I know I would have given that anyway). You have to come here :)

This restaurant has a very bright and authentic setting. We tried the lasagna, funghi risotto, and gorgonzola pasta — would definitely recommend the lasagna and the gorgonzola dish (the risotto was not served as beautifully as the rest of the plates). Prices are slightly on the high end, however location is very central!

Sehr schöner kleiner Laden. Das Essen ist richtig gut. Ich war schon mehrfach hier und kann Lasagne, Cannelloni und Tiramisu und die Antipasti jedem empfehlen. Oliven und Olivenöl sind hier ebenfalls fantastisch. Lasst euch am besten auch einen Wein vom Besitzer empfehlen. Die Gerichte kosten zwischen 10€ und 20€ und die Portionen sind angemessen. Zur info. Kleines und sehr sehr schönes italienisches Restaurant im Herzen Berlins! Sehr freundliches Personal und genauso gutes Essen, Preise sind dabei sogar wesentlich günstiger als im Durchschnitt. Habe das Restaurant zufällig während meiner Kongress-Reise entdeckt und letztendlich jeden Tag in den Mittagspausen dort gegessen, wirklich absolut zu empfehlen!

Extremely rude and baby unfriendly: 4pm Thursday, the cook/owner stops me dead as I was struggling to climb the stairs and open the door while dealing with the baby carriage and tells me: - Sorry, you cannot enter with baby carriage, the place is too small "zu eng". The place was empty, only one customer, not eating. Besides the situation in itself, this is Berlin, THE Baby Friendly City - I left hungry and shocked.

Leider wurde uns verboten mit einem Kinderwagen das Restaurant zu betreten. Es war 15 Uhr, das Restaurant war komplett leer. Kein einziger Tisch war besetzt. Begründung: Falls Gäste kommen, wird es zu eng. Wir haben uns dann ein anderes Restaurant gesucht. Als wir um 16.30 Uhr auf dem Weg zu unserem Auto dort wieder vorbeikamen, war gerade einmal ein Tisch besetzt. Sehr unhöflich und diskriminierend Eltern gegenüber. Wir wollten nur kurz Mittagessen und das wurde uns nicht gestattet. Schade. Nachtrag auf Ihre Antwort: Unser Kinderwagen war nicht „sperrig“ und nicht besonders groß und Ihr Geschäft war komplett leer. Von Platzmangel oder fehlendem Durchkommen anderer Gäste (die es nicht gab) kann daher nicht die Rede sein. Zudem wurden wir nicht „freundlich“ aufgefordert nicht mit dem Kinderwagen einzutreten, sondern uns wurde recht ruppig angesagt, dass Kinderwagen nicht erlaubt sei. Beste Grüße.

Just wandering by on a Sunday, and stumbled over this wonderful little Italian café. I was served by a very friendly gentleman who brought me the tastiest fresh olives and double espresso I’ve ever had in this city. Made me want to move into the neighborhood (fortunately it is only a few steps from the main train station). Fantastic.

Wir sind sehr oft hier zum Mittagessen. Verschiedene Angebote, Preisleistung Top . Frische Zutaten und super nette Leute. Immer wieder gerne Ihr seid eine Bereicherung für die Reinhardtstraße.

Kleines Bistro. Entsprechend beengt geht es zu. Das Interior ist gleichwohl ansprechend eingerichtet. Dafür 2 Sterne. Das Essen dagegen war leider enttäuschend. Wir hatten Lasagne und Pasta bestellt und uns auf "Fine" Italian Food gefreut. Dem war leider nicht so. Das Essen schmeckte eher unterdurchschnittlich und die Portionen waren dürftig. Was uns aber am meisten gestört hat war die Hygiene. Wir konnten von unserem Tisch mehrfach, beobachten, dass der Koch hinter dem Tresen Bargeld abkassierte und danach wieder ungewaschen das Essen zubereitete... Insgesamt keine Empfehlung.

Собирались ужинать всей семьёй в этом ресторане, после того как закончим свои дела в этом районе. Сначала зашла моя жена просто взяла кофе и хотела сходить в туалет. Но оказалось, У НИХ НЕТ ДАЖЕ ТУАЛЕТА !!! Я не ожидал такого позора, и естественно туда мы не пошли.
