Cozy place. This isn't our first time here. Good pasta and a large selection. The cocktails are great – we try something new every time!

We stopped here after a lovely trip to the Beelitz Heilstätten. Full and beautiful guest room. Fast and courteous service that took care of everything. The cook doesn't have to be in love because all the main dishes were missing salt. Otherwise these were great. I have to visit this restaurant again to form an opinion. Edit: The review hasn't gone through for months - for whatever reason...

I'm torn. Good and friendly service and a cozy location on the one hand, but on the other hand food and drinks that are okay but not entirely convincing considering the price quoted. Unfortunately my experience only extends to pizza, drinks and dessert but it won't be enough for a repeat. For example, the pizzas, the base here has something bread-like, maybe it's the thickness of the dough, maybe the oven temperature? The topping is rich in cheese and the whole thing melts into a mass. The homemade lemonade is limited to syrup, a few fruits and mineral water. The ice cream from our own gelateria is okay in summer and winter, but it's okay, it can be even finer, tastes more perfect and is more reasonably priced. There is a lot to choose from in Berlin and the Marco Polo is in the middle of the pack for me.

Das Italienische Restaurant ist eines der Besten in Berlin. Es ist nicht ganz preiswert aber dafür ist die Qualität hervorragend. Die Bediehnung ist sehr aufmerksam und professionel. Es gibt nach unseren Erfahrungen kaum einen Italiener in dem es so toll schmeckt. Auch das Ambiente ist hervorragend!

Das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht. Wir hatten vorbestellt, so war unser Tisch gesichert. Sehr schnelle Aufnahme der Bestellung. Aber leider hat es vom bestellen bis zum servieren der Speisen 1 Stunde und 15 min gedauert. Wir haben auch schon das Personal erinnert, dass wir Hunger haben. Es gab eine nette Entschuldigung, der Chef kam persönlich an den Tisch. Angeblich waren 250 Gäste im Restaurant. Ich habe aber nicht nachgezählt. Das Essen war super lecker und auch reichlich. Hierfür 5 Sterne. Als Entschuldigung für die lange Wartezeit gab es einen Dessertteller als Geschenk . Einen Schnaps für jeden zum Abschied gab es auch. Insgesamt ein schöner Abend. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Great recommendation! We enjoy eating there - and have had it delivered a few times now. Of course: food is a matter of taste, but we can recommend everything from starters to pizzas, pasta, meat dishes and dessert. Always tasty and plentiful. Deliveries were made quickly within the promised time frame. Our orders always included a free bottle of really good wine. It certainly depends on the order volume, but not a given in these times. We look forward to being able to be with you in the restaurant again. Hang in there!

Our absolute favorite restaurant! Whatever we tried on the menu was delicious. Drive here for over an hour because it is so good. Very nice staff and great selection. Especially look forward to the cheese that comes with the free bruschetta, it's out of this world.

The food was, as always, super delicious. We had pizza and pasta; both were melting away. The atmosphere here is also great and the staff is friendly and always has a little saying to say. Absolutely clear recommendation!

Unfortunately no longer recommended. I was here for the first time 15 years ago, when it was a really nice atmosphere, nice cellars and good portions at reasonable prices. NOW it's just a snobby shop, with unfriendly and arrogant waiters who don't give a 10% tip, the portions are super tiny but quite expensive at €25-30. It is done with a red carpet at the entrance, a waiting area for table allocation and beautifully laid out food on a noble restaurant. However, the quality and taste are rather mediocre and the price is not justified. Conclusion: If you're not hungry, don't care about taste, or want to spend a lot of money for little and don't like unfriendly waiters, this is the place for you. Without me !!! It's a shame, it was really great back then in the Marco Polo.

I came here in the hope of meeting Marco Polo, the Venetian merchant, explorer and writer who travelled through Asia along the Silk Road between 1271 and 1295. However, it appears he was busy running a zumba class that day, so I had a pizza and went back to my otherwise dull life.

A very nice restaurant. I've known it since the beginning (should have been about 30 years) and I'm still thrilled. Today we receive excellent service from Angelo. And have a nice evening.

Very great, delicious restaurant. I've eaten here for the third time now (I'm from Saarland) and it's always been tasty. I can only recommend it. Had the homemade tagliatelle with salmon, leek and scampi. It's a bit more upscale, but still recommended 👍🏻🧡

Are regular guests always happy to come back

I really love the food, the ambience and the service in your restaurant. All employees are always very friendly, accommodating and also very child-friendly. The food always tastes very, very good and the price is also right. However, we are very dissatisfied with the café next door, the lady behind the counter is very unfriendly and I also don't think the prices are justified anymore, I find €1.20 for 5 Smarties on a scoop of ice cream very outrageous. We'll stay with you in the restaurant, but we'll go somewhere else for ice cream in the future.

It's always amazing how good these restaurants are. The ambience is always nice, the service is very friendly and the food tastes very good. Special requests are also gladly taken into account. (I asked the Spaghetti Carbonara alla mamma if you could leave out the bacon)

Not recommended! Had specially ordered a table in the ice cream parlor. When we arrived, nothing was ready. Everything outside is tight. Way too many tables. The main thing is sales. The ice cream sundaes are not recommended, without love and just slapped on top. Amarena cup had 5 cherries. 2 x banana splits, 2 people had severe diarrhea at home. The price is way too high. We're never coming back. Everything is loveless and only profit. Berlin has other ice cream parlors, preferably in Schöneberg, on Auguste Viktoria Platz.

Hello, no we were not satisfied. We reserved a table in the ice cream parlor at 5 p.m. When we arrived there was nothing reserved. Outside, everything was close together. Cigarette smoke came to our baby at the next table. Switched tables again. It was so tight. A few fewer tables and a pleasant atmosphere would be great. It can't always just be about sales. The ice cream sundaes were not prepared with love. 2 x banana splits, had severe diarrhea at home. Amarena cup with 5 cherries and spaghetti ice cream like from the supermarket. Price is not justified. We won't be coming back. Too bad. We'd better drive a little further.

Looks chic. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food. Because we were more or less rudely sent away from a table of 6 that was a little apart from the full tables. There were three of us with two dogs and we didn't want to disturb anyone while we were eating because the tables outside were very close together. (And no it wasn't fully attended so you could understand this reaction) Well then we went somewhere else where we could choose the place ourselves.

We always enjoyed coming here. The food today was, as always, delicious. However, the service today was a disaster. We go to the restaurant to have a great time. But we only had that to a limited extent today. We were only served when we asked and that too sloppily. The plates of food were simply thrown at us. We are not used to that from this restaurant. We were very disappointed today :(

Very tasty food. Excellent service from start to finish. Extremely nice and competent management, even ready for a joke :) Bruschetta at the beginning and one of four short ones to choose from on the house at the end. A rarity these days! I can warmly recommend the Italian and will come back.

Every time we come to Berlin from Hamburg, we eat there. Super friendly service, very tasty food and nice atmosphere. We love, among other things, the fish soup and the pizza de capo, pizza scampi and many more. The baby calamaris are also great, but they aren't always available.

The restaurant looks very cozy and you can sit in the sun. Unfortunately, the waiters are not very attentive and are more busy smoking than clearing empty plates. We wanted to take the rest of the pizza with us and the box for it was 1€ on the bill... Uhh, I've never experienced that before and without notice. There was also some trickery when it came to tipping, as it was apparently too small. The waiter didn't say goodbye and thank you... What a shame actually!

Das Restaurant wirkt sehr gemütlich und man kann toll in der Sonne sitzen. Leider sind die Kellner nicht sehr aufmerksam und eher mit Rauchen beschäftigt, als leere Teller abzuräumen. Wir wollten den Rest der Pizza mitnehmen und der Karton dafür stand dann mit 1€ auf der Rechnung... Ähh, hab ich echt noch nie erlebt und das ohne Ankündigung. Beim Trinkgeld wollte dann auch noch getrickst werden, da es anscheinend zu gering war. Auf ein Auf Wiedersehen und danke wurde dann vom Kellner auch verzichtet... Schade eigentlich!
