Mekong Bistro in Leipzig

Unfortunately, there was an unpleasant smell in the restaurant. The service wasn't very friendly, so we felt slightly uncomfortable after ordering. The quality of the food was simply not good. You could eat it, but the vegetables were barely cooked through and were still very hard. The sauce was rather tasteless. The entire dish looked as if it had been unkindly dumped onto one of the old, scratched plates. It left us full, but next time I would definitely go to another snack bar.

I really love this kind of cuisine and their dishes, but the food at this place was simply terrible. A piece of overcooked rice and dried meat. Never again

The food is not well organized, the rice is not cooked through, the fish is not cooked through and the duck was offered cold. Services was a disaster. Not worth a visit

In no other restaurant in Leipzig you get that much value for your money. We especially recommend Nr. 42 and 50 on the menu for a cheap and tasty meal.

The food was prepared fresh and quickly. So the price-performance ratio is great! My friends and I sat inside the restaurant and were greeted very nicely at the counter. I shared a dish with my girlfriend, which was enough as the portion was large. Definitely I'll come here more often! 😊

A small bistro where everything is just right. The food is freshly prepared, from Thai and Vietnamese dishes to sushi you can try and enjoy everything here, the chefs and the service are incredibly friendly and accommodating, hospitality is very important here.

The food is very reasonable . Self service restaurant with ample seating and clean washrooms. Food was very mediocre. The chicken dishes had raw smell which was quite disappointing for our friends. I ordered red thai curry, it had nothing thai in it, rather a weird smelling curry sauce. I would not recommend visiting this place.

Food is okay, but unfortunately nothing more. I wasn't impressed with the taste of my baked chicken with vegetables in curry sauce and rice. It was nice and spicy, but lacked the typical Asian spice. In my opinion, rather below average. The dish we ordered was prepared quite quickly, but packaged rather carelessly in an assiette to take away. Doesn't look visually appealing when eating. Prices are perfectly fine, but you just get more snack quality. This is also reflected in the store. Cramped tables and chairs with a lack of a feel-good atmosphere. It was very crowded and therefore very loud. Definitely a quick alternative for your lunch break if you can compromise on quality.

Everything was great, the food tasted delicious, although the meat could have been seared a little more. Price performance top. Clear recommendation.

Mekong always works, super friendly and has been absolutely stable in quality and taste for many years. An absolute recommendation, to warm up indoors in winter and with tables in front of the restaurant in summer 😀

Essen (60) war sehr gut. Ambiente könnte im Aussenbereich ansprechender sein. Alles in allem, zu empfehlen.

Eine genervte Frau nahm die Bestellung an. Ist aber nur eine Momentaufnahme. Reiskugel war außen trocken und wie Gummi. Als hätte das schon ewig auf dem Teller gelegen und/oder in der Mikro warm gemacht worden. Entenfleisch war auch trocken. Große Auswahl an Gemüse auf dem Teller und reichlich. Fazit: Für den Preis erwarte ich bessere Qualität. Zumal es Selbstbedienung ist.

noodles and salad were pale, it seemed not even salty. it wasnt nice not to know that they didn't put any cutlery or chopsticks in take away :( they at least had to ask if they are needed but I guess I also had to ask for cutlery. spring rolls were nice but not enough to cover the rest of tasteless food.

Aufgeräumter Gastraum und auch saubere Gästetoilette. An den Speisen gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. Trotz der guten Lage in der Innenstadt noch recht preisgünstig und für einen schnellen Imbiss zu empfehlen.

Verdammt gutes leckeres und preiswertes Essen und das mitten in Leipzig. Ich hole mir hier sehr oft mein Mittagessen. Leider keine Kartenzahlung, aber das ist soweit OK. Ich bin froh so günstiges Essen in der Innenstadt zu bekommen.

Ich nutze dort gern das Angebot für die Mittagspause. Es geht zügig und ist frisch zubereitet. Die Speisekarte bietet eine gute Auswahl an asiatischer Küche und die Besitzer sind super freundlich. Schade das es so versteckt in der Passage liegt, aber unter meinen Kollegen ein guter Tipp für frische und schnelle Küche. Auf den ersten Blick gewöhnlich aber das Essen ist immer lecker.

Wenn mich meine Pause mal wieder in die Innenstadt treibt, dann komme ich hier sehr gern zum Essen her. Bislang waren alle Speisen die ich bekam super lecker. Am liebsten habe ich natürlich den Reis mit Curry und knackigem Gemüse sowie der gebackenen Hühnerbrust, davon kann ich einfach nicht genug bekommen. Dazu noch das sehr freundliche Personal und die trotz doch sehr hoher Kundenzahl angenehm kurze Wartezeit, einfach perfekt für die Mittagspause. Bedenkt man dann noch die Preise, welche hier für die diversen Speisen aufgerufen werden, so kann man hinter die 5 Sterne noch ein + setzen!

Einfach und gut! Ich verstehe nie, nach welchem System sie hier arbeiten und den Überblick über die Bestellungen behalten, aber es klappt immer. Das Essen ist schmackhaft und noch einigermaßen preiswert.
