Madame Thanh in Leipzig

I always order the same thing: Sup Mien (glass noodle soup), which tastes tipi topi, and the vegetable tofu soup is also solid. A big plus point is that you traditionally get nước chấm as a sauce for the summer rolls, just baba - most Vietnamese restaurants have peanut sauce and you just don't eat that. Oh yes, I always order for delivery or collection - it's usually quick , never had any problems. Don't check the terrible reviews.

The decor is very authentic. Food inexpensive and tasty.

Order food online via Uber eats. Waited an hour, called. We were rudely told off that food was on the way. Waited another hour, called again. The driver would have been there, but couldn't find the bell. Name, address, etc. were all stated correctly. There wasn't even a call, even though we provided our phone number. The phone number is “wrong” (?). Waited another half hour, call: they don't have the address. Passed through again and then received food after 15 minutes. Cold and not particularly tasty. Waited almost three hours and didn't even get an attempt at compensation in the form of a discount or something similar.

Even though it's just around the corner, delivery took 90 minutes. !!!!!ATTENTION the fried noodles with vegetables and meat are not topped with fried onions like everywhere else, but rather PEANUTS!!! However, it is not stated in the ingredients. As an allergy sufferer, the worst that can happen! The sushi is dry and the rice tastes old. Communication problems are severe. Something was missing from the order and the lady on the phone didn't understand what was missing or what. She just kept saying “The driver will be there soon, the driver will be there soon” but she didn’t understand that something was missing from the order. CONCLUSION: Money spent on an emergency doctor call. Spent money on a dish that wasn't delivered. Despite the fact that it is 2 side streets away, the waiting time is very long. NEVER AGAIN!!!

The food was okay, but quite expensive for the quality. The drinks (brought in a glass, you don't know what it actually was in the end) tasted bland and cheap and were also very expensive. Visually, the store looks quite nice.

Were often and happy here in the past (from 2021).. Let me know when things are better again, you can pay by card and receive a receipt showing the correct prices.

I ordered an appetizer and a soup. Everything was prepared quickly and was delicious. When it came to paying, the lady said the price was €16.80. I was surprised because the amount seemed a bit high to me, but I didn't question it because I didn't think she could be dishonest. On the way back home I calculated the amount again and realized that my bill would only have been €14.80. So the lady cheated me out of €2 and I also gave her a tip. Of course I didn't receive an invoice, which is why I suspect that everything was charged "black". I will never go there again. Too bad. Was the €2 really worth losing customers from the neighborhood?

I had pre-ordered for 8:15 p.m., but when the food wasn't there after 60 minutes, I called and asked. I was told it should be there soon and that today would be stressful. So I kept waiting and called again after half an hour, got exactly the same answer... When my food still wasn't there after the store closed, I called again and the employee called her driver. A quarter of an hour later the food was there, by now it was just before half past 11. It's okay to be a little late, maybe 30 minutes, but I waited over 2 hours... I can only be glad that I didn't order any warm dishes.

We ordered here for the first time by phone, picked up the food ourselves and unfortunately received completely different dishes.

We can't understand all the negative reviews, apparently this only applies to the delivery service, which we don't use. The price/performance ratio is really very good given today's prices, the portions are always huge and there is often a little surprise included (Krupuk, fortune cookies, etc.). It doesn't taste rancid like other providers or the snack bar around the corner and the staff there is really friendly. Maybe another hint: We have the impression that it is a family business and that everyone pitches in; several times we see a really old Vietnamese man who seems to be delivering all the orders completely alone.

I wish I could give 0 stars!! After 2.5 hours of waiting and 5 calls to the restaurant, the food we ordered was not delivered. Apart from the fact that I was pushed away in the last 4 call attempts, it is simply cheeky to try to put off paying customers without information or goods. You definitely shouldn't order here because you definitely don't get anything for your money. Descents

I placed my order at 6pm and after a thousand apologies on the phone it was finally delivered at 9:30pm. It has to be the worst delivery service in town and the food isn't particularly good or cheap. I think it's a real shame the service they provide and reading the reviews makes me regret not reading them sooner to avoid this displeasure. The worst thing is that they don't even bother to apologize upon delivery and offer no compensation whatsoever for their miserable service. Just one recommendation: DO NOT BUY FROM THIS RESTAURANT, EVEN BY ACCIDENT.

Picked it up myself today, otherwise I've already ordered a few times from Madame Thanh and had my food delivered within a very short time (max. 30 minutes). I can highly recommend the bowl and Pho Hanoi.

Nice atmosphere, it used to be delicious - but now it's just overpriced and the food is bad. Prices went up significantly (around 13 euros instead of around 8 euros) and food tasted bland and like old fat (in this case standard pasta with beef). Last time the curry was significantly oversalted, which was then dismissed as being too sensitive. No recommendation!

I came here for the first time after being a regular customer here for years both before and after their renovations. It used to be better than now. If you're looking for fresh and authentic Vietnamese or Thai food, I suggest going to the hole in the wall Imbiss across the street. It's cheaper and has way more flavour. This place has somehow fell off. It's unjustifiably overpriced, ingredients don't seem to be fresh, the food is lacking in flavour, service is terribly unfriendly, and if you're not careful, they may overcharge you on their already overpriced dishes. I guess because of all the bad reviews they've been getting lately, they're trying to rebrand as "Shimizu" on their restaurant front and online, but don't be fooled! My advice is to stay away.

Ordered food for 5:30 p.m. in the evening and it was delivered at 6:30 p.m. after asking. Apparently they tried to reach us by phone twice, but there was no call. The sushi we ordered was warm, the hot food we ordered was cold. Chicken wasn't crispy either, just a sticky breading. The summer rolls were put together so carelessly that they immediately fell apart the first time I picked them up. There was no apology for the delivery being over an hour late. We are looking for another delivery service!!!!!

My friend ordered a vegan dish made with animal fat. My dish (meat) tasted very neutral...

Nice decor, food tasted a bit rancid and somehow tasteless at the same time. Really not justified for the price.

They served us meat and said it’s vegan, my friend also had egg in his vegan dish. Staff was extremely slow and impolite.the salad was old, with slimy spots. We waited one hour, and other guests were severed before us, even though they ordered ten minutes after us. The sauce was extremely spicy and because of too much garlic. I never wrote a reply, but it was so awful, that I had to.. so others will not do the same mistake .. avoid this place

I didn't get anything to eat, the waitress was introverted and spoke like a barrier. I will never eat here again unless someone else comes along

It's a disgrace that after waiting almost 2 hours there is still no food to be seen. 2 employees, one has a language barrier and the other speaks German so badly that it is impossible to understand. The food itself was okay and the ambience was nice in a backyard.

Always happy to come here. Very tasty, fresh food. The pho is good, as is the curry. The atmosphere is also very inviting, with a nice outdoor area :)

We have enjoyed staying here for several years and have also been happy to recommend the location, but unfortunately we have been disappointed several times since last year. Finally, the coconut curry sauce (which was served too generously) was too salty and the peanut sauce, which was also too extensive, was much too fatty.

Looks great but nothing behind it. Was eating there and found shards in the glass. Instead of putting your profit into the ambience, it's better to invest in quality. The staff could hardly answer my questions due to the language barrier. The food was hard to enjoy because it was far too spicy, even though I said several times that it should not be prepared spicy. And you couldn't pay with a card either and that in 2024. Well, I prefer other restaurants.

Very tasty food, both the sushi and the warm dishes, aesthetic interior design, unfortunately we forgot a dish and the sushi for 2 people was spread out on one plate, hence the 1 star deduction. We would definitely like to come back.

Ordered by phone because I didn't have a number at hand, ordered glass noodle soup and fried egg noodles with crispy chicken, everything 2×.....collected by myself. One soup barely had a glass noodle. And the rest of the order was completely wrong. A pity. For over 30 euros, a dinner to break the habit.

I ordered food over 3 hours ago and it still hasn't arrived. I've called over 20 times now. There is consistently no answering the phone. I have now requested the refund. Order was placed via Uber Eats.

I have already ordered there via delivery service. There were 2 small pieces of tofu with the main course :-/ Then I thought, gesturing, I'll try to pick it up again since I work around the corner. Ordered a glass noodle salad with tofu last night for €6.90. Pick it up and give her a €10 note. She gives me €1 back. I then had to show her how much it cost on her own card and then I was very reluctantly given my correct change. When we got home it was a small side salad with 2 pieces of tofu and no glass noodles... didn't even begin to fill me up... even though it cost the same as the main courses? Was extremely rude. I think they buy good reviews. Nobody can rate that so well.

Very tasty food, not your usual stuff. In the lovingly furnished restaurant you can enjoy classics and specialties such as the delicious maki rolls. The service is good. Unfortunately, no card payment is possible. That's missing!

We ordered food via the app yesterday and were more than dissatisfied. The entire food was cold at its core, as cold as if pre-cooked food had been taken out of the fridge. The baked poultry dishes (duck, chicken, starters with baked chicken fillet/fried chicken skewers) They were all soggy and not at all crispy. Of course, this is partly due to the fact that it is delivered in aluminum containers, which are better suited to keeping things warm than plastic packaging, but then the food should be really warm, at least lukewarm, if it is packaged that way to keep the temperature high and is therefore limp. Incidentally, warm food is not favored if the supplier transports the food in a simple household cool box without a lid, without words. Maybe you should think about thermal boxes made of Styrofoam or something similar. We also found half a ginger root in the sweet and sour sauce. It's great if the food is prepared with fresh ingredients, but that really shouldn't go down well with customers. Completely incomprehensible. It is also difficult to understand why vegetarian dimsums are packaged together with non-vegetarian ones. It's not without reason that I order them like that and expect two separate dishes. For the vegetarian blackheads among us, that was it with the starter, super annoying. Of course, food often suffers in quality when it is packaged for delivery, but I have never experienced it to this extent. It's a shame to charge almost 70 euros for this.

Der Service ließ etwas zu wünschen übrig, aber das Essen war lecker und die Wartezeit war sehr kurz.

Es ist vollkommen OK an einem Feiertag länger für Lieferungen zu brauchen, nicht aber wenn man seine Kunden anlügt. Ich habe im laufe der letzten 3,5 Std drei mal angerufen um mir zwei mal sagen zu lassen dass der Fahrer auf dem Weg ist. Pizza von Freddy fresh muss also doch reichen. - wenigstens liefern die auch wirklich.

Wunderschönes Restaurant, nette Bedienung und das Essen ist einfach köstlich.

The food was not tasty at all, even the kimchi which I haven't thought it could be so untasteful. Bc of lack of personnel, we had to wait some time. Unfortunately , I wouldn't come here again even though the place and atmosphere are pretty lovely and cozy.

Essen ist gut Aber der Service für die Lieferung ist furchtbar! Am Telefon werden falsche Zeit Angaben gemacht, wenn etwas fehlt in der Bestellung soll man selber hingehen und es abholen und es wird nichts als Wiedergutmachung angeboten. Ist ja nicht die erste Beschwerde in dieser Richtung - sollte sich was tun.

Schlecht! Man wartet auf die Lieferung über 2 Stunden, ruft an und dann muss die Bestellung selbst abholen. Nie wieder!

Das Ambiente fande ich schön und dachte ich hätte ein schönes Restaurant in meiner Nähe gefunden, Getränk war sehr lecker, das Essen war auch ok aber nichts besonderes. Aber das Personal war herbe unfreundlich, kaum ein Wort rausbekommen(gemäß dem Motto friss oder stirb) Essen wurde auf den Tisch geknallt (obwohl ich hier nur nach einen langen Tag noch was essen wollte, also ich habe auch keinerlei Anlass gegeben). War froh als ich wieder raus war, nie wieder.

Ich komme jede Woche einmal vorbei. Ich finde, dass das Essen immer lecker ist. Ich liebe die Umgebung vom Restaurant.

Mein Lieblingsreutaurant komme ich monatlich mindestens 5 Mal. Das Sushi war sehr frish und lecker. Ich werde mich empfehlen, dass MadameThanh Limonade sehr lecker ist. Das Restaurant ist sehr gemütlich mit den schönen Dekorationen. 🥰🥰

Das Essen ist nicht sehr überragend. Geschmacklich nicht gut und mein Essen war versalzen. Keine Kartenzahlung möglich, und der Hinterhof ist jetzt auch nicht schön gestaltet. Draußen sind viele Fliegen und die Nachbarn können einen beim Essen zusehen. Ich würde nicht nochmal wiederkommen.

Langsames Personal, nur Barzahlung, viele Fliegen. Aber Essen und Getränke (Schwarzteelimonade) waren sehr gut.

Das Essen ist okay, die Portionen leider sehr klein für den Preis. Allerdings ist vorrangig der Service zu bemängeln. Die Mitarbeiterinnen sind unfreundlich und versuchen einen um Wechselgeld zu prellen.

Haben oft dort gegessen oder bestellt Sehr freundliches Personal Sehr frische Zutaten und Zubereitung Es wird wert darauf gelegt möglichst Glutamatarm zu kochen. Die Gerichte sind sehr lecker Sehr zu empfehlen sind die Udon und Sushi Gerichte Im Sommer ist es schön im Innenhof zu sitzen

Ich habe schon öfter bestellt und nicht nur, dass die Qualität einwandfrei ist, sondern das Essen ist sogar noch heiß, wenn es ankommt!

Pho nicht zu empfehlen. Fleisch war zäh, zu wenig Koriander und die Suppe schmeckte nach nichts.

Was für ein tolles Ambiente. Super freundliche Bedienung, köstliche "Madame Thanh" Limo und leckeres Essen. Einzig die recht einfache Karte kommt etwas lieblos daher. Doch das tut der Auswahl keinen Abbruch. Ich freue mich in Schönefeld solch eine Perle zu haben...

Sehr lecker, leichte Küche, wohltuend warme Suppe, sehr wohltuender und leckerer Ingwertee mit Minze und eine tolle Auswahl. Das Ambiente wirkt authentisch und das Personal ist sehr nett und v. a. nicht aufdringlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Preis viel zu hoch dafür dass man nur eine sehr kleine Portion bekommt. Außerdem hatte ich das Gefühl dass es nicht frisch zubereitet wurde.

Lieferservice genutzt. Noch vor einem Jahr waren wie begeistert von dem Essen. Frisch und sau lecker. Leider waren wir bei den letzten beiden Bestellungen enttäuscht. Es schmeckte nicht mehr nach frisch zubereitet, sondern so wie es vom Asia Imbiss aus einem umgebauten Anhänger kennt. Wir finden es schade. Hat die Küchen Crew gewechselt oder was ist hier los.

Alles Top!! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und super leckeres Essen genossen. Die Vorspeisen, das Hauptgericht...es war alles toll gewürzt und sehr schmackhaft. Preis-Leistung ist top. Was will man mehr. Die Einrichtung ist herrlich gemütlich und diese Rundstühle waren total bequem. Anzumerken ist, dass man sich im Winter eher warm anziehen sollte. Verständlicherweise war es im Gastraum nicht wirklich gut durchgeheizt. Da es keinen Vorhang als Windfang gibt, zieht es, wenn Gäste das Lokal betreten, schon ziemlich herein. Uns störte das kaum und tat dem sehr guten Gesamteindruck keinen Abbruch.

Sehr tolle Location und gutes Essen. Es gibt Probleme mit der Kartenzahlung, ging dann aber doch.

Nach mehreren Bestellreinfällen endlich ein Restaurant bei dem man bestellen kann! Angemessene Portionen (kein sparen wie bei anderen) und zügige Lieferzeit (ca. 30 min). Wir hatten Vorspeise und Hauptgang, war sehr lecker und wir werden hier öfter bestellen.

Wir sind mindestens einmal die woche hier. Bisher hat es immer gut geschmeckt. Eine der besten Lokalitäten in schönefeld. Im Hinterhof ist ein netter freisitz.

Während den Hoch-Zeiten der Pandemie haben wir öfters bei Madame Thanh bestellt, mittlerweile waren wir schon einige Male im Restaurant zu Gast. Das Essen war immer einwandfrei (wir haben uns quasi schon quer durch die Karte getestet!), die Lieferung schnell (und wenn es mal etwas dauert, wird das auch so kommuniziert), und das Restaurant ist wirklich sehr charmant eingerichtet. Unser bisheriges Lieblingsrestaurant in Leipzig. Wenn ihr einen Tipp haben wollt: Testet die Pho!

Sehr leckeres Essen. Sehr nette Bedienung. Die Madame Thanh Sushi Rollen sind sehr zu empfehlen. Die Limonaden ebenso. Wir hatten eine Zitronen-und eine Schwarztee Limonade. Das Ambiente innen ist sehr angenehm und gemütlich. Draußen vor dem Restaurant wäre es uns zu laut.

The food is good and they have a good variety on the menu. But they accept just cash, I can't understand this nowadays. And the background music keep repeating two songs forever.

Waren zum 2. Mal da, weil alles andere in der Nähe noch zu war. Das Restaurant war lehr. Es gab aber viel Personal da und wir würden begrüßt. Wir mussten dann später aber das Personal suchen, damit nach 15 Minuten Wartezeit unser Bestellung abgegeben werden konnte. Sie waren mit anderen Sachen beschäftigt. Haben dann 30 Minuten auf das Essen gewartet. Das Essen kam separat und spät. Unser Kind war schon seit 10 Minuten fertig und gelangweilt als wir essen konnten. Es war schon geschmacklich ok und ästhetisch schön, aber für den zeitlichen Aufwand, Qualität der Bedienung und Preis waren wir insgesamt leider wieder entäuscht.

Sehr liebevoll eingerichtet, Essen schmeckt gut.

Ein durch und durch interessanter Tauchgang in die fernöstlichen Kochkünste. Wir hatten einen entspannten und dennoch pfiffigen Abend in diesem tollen Etablissement. Sehr zu empfehlen sind die Rollen und die Nr.22 Grüße!

Schönes asiatisches Restaurant/Bistro. Gemütliche Einrichtung, nettes Personal, originelle Anrichtung der Speisen und schmeckt hervorragend.

Sind am Frühabend zufällig eingekehrt und waren von Freundlichkeit, Qualität der Speisen und damit auch vom Preisleistungsverhältnis mehr als positiv angetan. In Kürze soll es im Hof einen Biergarten geben und das dürfte dieses Lokal weiter aufwerten.
