Excellent restaurant in a easy to reach location in Hamburg City Nord.

So I wanted to have lunch here today, which is what I did. But I didn't know where to sit, the floor was dirty everywhere and sitting was really not nice. Food was ok..

Visiting here for last 20 days Food quality is very good and Typical Indian taste..My lifeline in Hamburg.. Staff is also very good.

Very tasty, but way too spicy. No matter how many times you emphasize that the food shouldn't be spicy, it is ALWAYS too spicy. That's why we won't go there anymore.

Nice staff and delicious dishes. I've only been in Hamburg since the end of last week and have already eaten here three times. That and the often Hindi-speaking clientele are probably indicative of the taste and authenticity of Mehndi. I will also like to come here in the future.

I ordered on a Wednesday at 6 p.m., and it arrived after three quarters of an hour (according to the email, it wasn't until 7 p.m.). Very tasty, we think the option to choose between four levels of spiciness and the huge selection of vegetarian dishes are great! The fact that the pakora was sprinkled with chaat masala was amazing! We will definitely order again!

At Lieferando on a normal Thursday delivery time is over 2 hours. Unavailable by telephone. Never again. Since the food isn't there yet, only 1 star here. Edit: After several calls with no answer, my number was simply blocked.

Very good lunch menu, dishes that change every day

It tastes very good there, but the employees don't know a single word of German and you don't always get the dish you want. This is a bit tiring...

The food was okay, but the service was great

I eat here at least once a week because the it is close to my house. The food in general is good, I like Paneer Tikka masala from this place. The people working there are also nice and the service is generally decent but recently they have raised the prices to almost double the original price. Paneer Tikka masala which was 10,50€ earlier is now 18€. And the worst thing is that they have not updated the prices on their boards and menus. This is very unprofessional and the food is not worth 18€ by any means.

Service, communication and food non-existent. Sorry, dear Mehndi team, you are an imposition on someone who wants to eat. I simply can't say anything about the food because it didn't come. We ordered and a delivery time of 45 minutes was confirmed. After 1 hour I tried to call several times, the first 3 calls were in vain, while the 4th was rejected with the SMS info: “Order is on the way” After another 25 minutes, I tried again several times to reach someone without success. The first call rang through and on the second I was pushed away again with the text message: “Order is on the way” We then looked elsewhere for dinner, luckily since the restaurant is now closed and the food hasn't arrived yet. Maybe it will come for breakfast tomorrow too. If anyone from the restaurant really reads this or is interested in it, I would like to know why they treat customers this way...

Don't know why the average rating is so low. Food is fantastic, bombastic, phenomenal, leg break pain relieving, and simply incorrigible (just like the movies). The staff was friendly when we ate there recently, and everyone gave us a high five as we walked out. Here is a picture of me after eating here. Ich komme hier sehr gerne mittags zum Lunch her. Das Person ist freundlich. Der Chef ist sehr aufmerksam, erkennt Stammkundschaft und ist sehr nett und serviceorientiert. Und das beste: Das Essen schmeckt mir immer. Die Auswahl ist super. Es gibt immer wechselnden Mittagstisch.

Klassische indische Küche auf Wunsch auch scharf. Der Service ist freundlich das Essen schmeckt auch wenn es nicht gerade viel, ist aber ausreichend. Hatte Chicken Tikka in einer scharfen Soße die wirklich lecker war, klare Empfehlung !

Die Portionen sind zwar nicht besonders groß, aber das Essen hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt. Die schlechten Bewertungen bezüglich des Geschmacks kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Das Restaurant ist modern (vor allem sind die Toiletten sehr sauber) und das Personal sehr freundlich. Bei uns ist auch ein kleiner Fehler bei der Bestellung passiert, jedoch wurde das Problem sehr kulant gelöst. Ich empfehle das Restaurant weiter 👍🏼

Ende 2022/Anfang 2023 war ich wegen einer Reservedienstleistung in einer Dienstwohnung in der City Nord (yelp.to/2dwl09ZuYvb) untergebracht. Innerhalb desselben Gebäudekomplexes fand ich dieses indisch-ayurvedische Restaurant und nahm mir vor da irgendwann einmal zu speisen oder etwas abzuholen. Das Lokal mit seinen großen Fensterfronten machte eine sehr guten Eindruck. Allerdings waren die Bewertungen eher durchwachsen: Yelp: noch keine Google: 3,4 Sterne bei 130 Rezensionen Lieferando: 4,1 Sterne bei 952 Bewertungen Ich besuchte das Mehndi zweimal: einmal kurz nach Weihnachten, um mir etwas mitzunehmen; einmal kurz vor Silvester, um vor Ort zu speisen. 1. Besuch: Als ich das Lokal abends betrat, erwartete mich eine freundliche, orientalische Atmosphäre. Das Lokal bestand aus einem großen Raum mit einem Tresen, hinter dem sich die offene Küche befand, und einem angrenzenden etwa gleich großen Speiseraum, wo gerade viele gut gelaunte Menschen inklusive einiger Kinder mit festlicher Musik Weihnachten feierten. Die Einrichtung war nobel und orientalisch, aber nicht übertrieben. Ich bestellte mir "Chicken Masala" (Hähnchenbrustfilet, gewürfelt in Currysauce mit Erbsen, Bohnen, Zwiebeln, Paprika und geriebenem Paneer, wie alle Gerichte mit Basmatireis serviert und mit Granatapfel und Koriander dekoriert) für 15,40 €. Mein Essen wurde frisch zubereitet und war schnell fertig und ich wurde sehr freundlich bedient. Da ich nur wenige Minuten vom Mehndi in meine Dienstwohnung brauchte, war mein Essen noch richtig heiß, als ich es auspackte. Es war würzig und sehr lecker, besonders die Soße war ein Genuss. 2. Besuch: Nach einem 10 km-Lauf wollte ich mir ein gesundes, ayurvedisches Abendessen in den noblen Räumlichkeiten gönnen. Ich entschied mich für "Tofu Madras" (Tofu mit Kokos-Currysauce). Auch bei diesem Besuch fand im angrenzenden Speiseraum eine gut besuchte Feier statt. Das Tofu-Gericht war sehr schön angerichtet und schmeckte auch sehr lecker. Ein angenehmer Tagesausklang in indischem Ambiente. Ich zahlte inklusive Trinkgeld 19 € in bar. Ich kann das Mehndi in der City Nord nur empfehlen.

Wir haben uns von hier beliefern lassen. Das Essen war geschmacklich durchwachsen. Mein Vegetarisches Madras war (für deutsche Verhältnisse) sehr gut. Nur leider entsprach das Shahi Paneer meiner Frau aber nicht der Beschreibung des Gerichts im Menü und ihr Mango Lassi hatte einen Stich. Mit den Pakoras (kaum gewürzt) und den Naan konnte man keine Preise gewinnen. Wir riefen an um Ersteres zu reklamieren, die Beanstandung wurde aufgenommen, und mit dem "Problem" freundlich mit einer Ersatzlieferung des Paneers und des Lassis sehr professionell umgegangen. (das Ersatz-Paneer war dann doch um Einiges besser und man konnte die Zutaten auch herauschmecken) Nur der Fahrer des Ersatzessens schien unsere Motive in Frage zu stellen, wollte mich beim Beschreiben des Problems an der Tür filmen usw. Nach dem eh schon langen Tag hatten wir auf große Diskussion keine Lust mehr und hätten ihm das Ersatzessen am Liebsten wieder mitgegeben und das Lokal abgeschrieben, aber da wollte er dann doch nichts von wissen. Fazit: Am Telefon lief alles freundlich und Lösungsorientiert, vor Ort war es dann etwas merkwürdig.

Das Essen ist wirklich ok. Was verwundert, bin vom dort anwesenden Personal aufgefordert worden, Englisch zu sprechen. Ich hab nicht gewusst, daß sich dieser Imbiss in London befindet. Offenbar ist dem Inhaber sein Personal gleichgültig. Dies sollte jedoch nochmals überdacht werden.

Ich habe bei denen angerufen und ein netter mitarbeiter ist rangegangen. Er war sehr freundlich und hat mir einige gerichte empfohlen weil ich nicht wusste was ich nehme. Das Essen kam pünktlich an, es war sehr lecker, ich würde wieder da bestellen :)

Essen kam überpünktlich an, es war noch sehr warm. Das Chicken Madras Mild war sehr lecker und empfehlenswert. Dazu noch ein gekühlter Mango Lassi um den Tag zu genießen.

Überraschend Gut! Bereits 14! Minuten nach Bestellung wurde mir ein heißes und frisch zubereiteten Essen geliefert. Dieses sah Optisch ansprechend aus. Geschmacklich hat es meinen Geschmack getroffen. Scharf oder in meinem Fall mittlere Schärfe bedeutet auch, dass es entsprechend scharf ist. Diese war in meinem persönlichen Fall genau Richtig. Das Lammfleisch war zart,das Gemüse hatte noch einen leichten Biss. Der Fahrer war freundlich. Hier werde ich und mit Sicherheit auch Kollegen von mir bestimmt noch öfter bestellen. TOP

Gelbe lockere Basmati Res mit frischen Granatapfelkernen 😋 Indidche Käse mit Spinat und Zahrteste Variation und Lamm war sehr Qualitativ, keine Billigfleich! Ich empfehle das gern!

Food is delicious, Butter chicken is one of the best in Hamburg. But I am really schoked they increased the price by 4 to t euro per dish. 10 percent increase is fine but 5 euro increase is too much.

Das Essen war sehr gut. Aber aufgrund einer Feier war es dort viel zu laut.

The food is good, but not amazing. You get value for money. The naan were not very fresh and seemed to be from the day before. I recommend it for a quick lunch meal, but it's not a place for a nice dinner. If you can collect your food, you should do it, because through the delivery service, you pay around 40% on top.

Ich bestelle seit längerem regelmäßig. Es ist ein super Laden,toller Service und sehr zu empfehlen!
