Bombay Bistro in Hamburg

It used to be a top shop, unfortunately no longer the case. According to the app, food was delivered, but it wasn't. Similar to other reviews, no one can be reached, you are even pushed away. Too bad!

Terrible. We've been waiting for the food for almost 3 hours now! Nobody answers when you call, no response, nothing! Never again...

We ordered food and drinks for 5 people from Bombay Bistro and paid in advance via PayPal. The announced delivery time was supposed to be 60 minutes, but it has now been over 3.5 hours and we still have not received anything. Calls were ignored or dismissed, and to top it off, the status of our order was now listed as "delivered" - even though we received nothing. Such behavior is unacceptable and disappointing. We will open a case with PayPal to get our money back. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant at all and advise you to be careful when ordering!

I've been waiting for over two hours and no one has answered the phone for an hour, even though the line was busy... Exactly the same last time. I used to enjoy ordering here, but this was my last chance. I wouldn't do it again and can't recommend it to anyone.

One star is still too many. We join the countless bad reviews. The food is still not delivered after 2 hours. At Lieferando the status is delivered, but the food hasn't arrived at all. After the third attempt to reach someone by phone, someone answered the phone. At the end of the conversation they hung up in very bad German. Never again!!!! We called the money back via Paypal.

We ordered at 6 p.m. It was delivered almost 2 hours later. Extra side dishes were ordered and didn't arrive. Called. Nobody answered the phone. After calling several times, people laughed on the phone and were told that it would arrive in 20 minutes and that it would arrive in 40 minutes

We pre-ordered today via Lieferando at 6 p.m. for 7:45 p.m.! Now it's 8:30 p.m. and we're still waiting for our food. First call to the restaurant was not answered. The second call was barely understandable and we were told "driver is on the way...still 2-3 minutes". Yeah cool, luckily we didn't wait 45 minutes... How can it be that you order so far in advance and the food still isn't there on time?! So that was the first and last time here. This is definitely not how you win customers!

Forgotten dip, cold limp fries, a cookie that tastes like cardboard. Waited two hours for delivery, which ended up being wrong and inedible. I've always enjoyed ordering here for many years and it can happen sometimes, but as a regular customer to be treated so disrespectfully on the phone is really wow. After the first hour I called and asked how things were going and then this happened: Apparently the address wasn't listed because I ordered it via Uber Eats (but it was under comments from me) and they supposedly tried to call me three times (of course they didn't). It's disgusting why you have to lie to your customers unnecessarily brazenly.

I've ordered several times and everything I got was always soooo delicious. However, you have to be a little careful with the level of spiciness, because spicy doesn't just mean that here. For me it's definitely my favorite Indian because it's always there quickly and the taste can't be beat. Clear recommendation.

Toilet was small but clean! No longer a given today. The food was delicious and curry. Just 11 euros will easily feed 2 people. We had chicken biryani. Only cashews were noted and were somehow missing. But complaining about it for 11 euros would be pathetic. Gladly again soon. Found this locally by chance.

It's a shame... I was a customer at Bombay Bistro for many years and was always satisfied! I actually avoid bad reviews online and always seek conversation. I tried that, but it didn't do much good. Apparently there is a new owner and a new chef... I had to throw away the food... The spinach gratinated with gorgonzola tasted burnt on the one hand and not seasoned at all or watery on the other! No trace of gorgonzola...The salad with chicken was inedible: chicken without spices, sheep's cheese and olives tasted spoiled and lettuce leaves were partly brown... As written, I'm sorry for giving a bad review... And

I always ordered my food through Uber Eats and the food was supposed to be delivered between 9:10 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. and now it's already 10:12 p.m. Since I've often ordered there, I know what it tastes like and it doesn't taste bad, but the wait isn't great and if you're late it would be nice if you could give the customers some information

We have ordered from this company for many years and have been very satisfied. But the last orders were no longer worth the money. Ordered extra early today, before 1 p.m. 20 minutes later tried to ask if food was coming. Unfortunately, the lady didn't speak a word of German to understand my request. Food arrived 30 minutes late. Unfortunately not edible. Chicken with spinach was dry (didn't know you could cook a sauce dry). Penne Gorgonzola was something chewed through, tasted disgusting and had to be thrown away. It's a shame, it used to be a great delivery service. Electrician

Ich war zu Besuch nach Europa gekommen und habe in vielen Restaurants indisches Essen gegessen und jemand sagte mir, dass es hier sehr leckeres Essen gibt. Ja, das stimmt und meine Begleiter sagten auch, dass das Essen wirklich sehr lecker und günstig war.

I always order food here because I've tried it everywhere. I even tried Indian restaurant in Switzerland. Here in Hamburg I tried to eat in every Indian restaurant, but some have more colors and others have more sweets. Indian food is not at all as described, Indian food is like dascim Bombay bistro. It is true that the Indian food is like what is prepared here, it is clean, neat and tasty, the food in the restaurant is the most delicious. The best Bombay Bistro. You try it too.

ich liebe bombay bistro über alles!!!!!!!!!! könnte ich auf ernst jeden tag essen. butter chicken 10 von 10, chicken tikka masala 10 von 10. das Naan brot ist so unnormal geil.

Bisher habe ich das Essen immer direkt abgeholt, entweder nach Vorbestellung oder vor Ort bestellt. Alles hat gut geklappt und hat immer gut geschmeckt. Die Portionen sind eher großzügig, meiner Ansicht nach. Die Köche sind scheinbar indischer Herkunft, soweit ich das beurteilen kann. Sollte also halbwegs authentisch sein. Die Preise sind auch ok.

Essen war sehr lecker und sehr große Portionen mit viel Hähnchen. Bestellung kam auch sehr schnell an alles war supi

Wir bestellen seit Jahren bei Bombay Bistro und waren eigentlich mit dem Essen immer sehr zufrieden. Besonders die Spaghetti Bolognese waren extrem lecker. Leider ist die Bolognese Sauce jetzt nicht mehr selbst gemacht, sondern offensichtlich ein ungenießbares Fertigprodukt aus dem Glas. Sehr sehr schade...... wir werden keine Bolognese Gerichte mehr bestellen. Allerdings sind die indischen Chicken Gerichte und die Pizza immer noch sehr gut.

Seit 6 Jahren mein absoluter lieblings- Lieferdienst ! Das Essen kommt IMMER heiß an, schmeckt super und macht satt. Die Fahrer sind auch alle samt freundlich. Wenn wir dann doch mal woanders bestellt haben, war ich meist enttäuscht… hier bin ich es nie . Macht weiter so 😊

Hab ne Pizza Meeresfrüchte bestellt. Angekommen ist die mit Abstand beste Pizza mit Meeresfrüchtenbelag die ih je bestellt habe. Kollege hat mich absolut mit der Wahl dieser Pizzeria überzeugen können. Werde hier aufjedenfall öfter bestellen

Wenig Soße aber schmackhaft, hatte dass Gericht Chicken Korma. Fahrer war schnell und sehr freundlich.

Update: Immer wieder bestellt. Direkt auf deren Webseite. Unser Essen rauf & runter bestellt. Es gibt nichts zu meckern. Alles toll, heiss & lecker. Gebt einfach den Leuten direkt - aus Respekt für deren Job - ein nettes BAR- TRINKGELD. Es lohnt sich ;-) Weiterer Nachtrag am 10.01.2022: Heute Pizza & Chicken Wings sowie Chili-Cheese Nuggets bestellt. Wirklich innerhalb der genannten Zeit geliefert (wiederholt auf deren eigener Homepage, nicht faulerweise über Lieferando oder Restabolo bestellt). Alles heiß und megaaaa lecker geliefert. Mehr geht nicht, läuft 🤩👍 @ Nachtrag eine Woche vorher: Heute erneut bestellt und ausser der Dal Suppe, den üblichen Chapatis, heute Chicken Madras dazu bestellt wahnsinnig lecker, lecker und noch einmal lecker ;-)) Auch heute wieder eine schnelle Lieferung und alles heiss!!!! Besser kann es zum Feierabend nicht laufen:-)Ein Tip dazu: bestellt direkt bei denen auf der Webseite!!!! Sensationell. Bestellt, super pünktlich und mit einem Lächeln mein Essen übergeben bekommen. (german below) This place has 4,5 stars on Lieferando, and rightfully so. I order here every 2-3 weeks, great food every time. Main courses are nice and big, with sauce and salad as sides and I LOVE the starters as well (especially the Chicken Tikka Tandoori and the Samosas). I like to order a few things and eat leftovers later. The Yogurt-Mint-Dip is absolutely fantastic. Keep it up! — Also erstmal, Bombay Bistro hat auf Lieferando 4,5 Sterne, aus gutem Grund. Ich bestell hier so alle 2-3 Wochen und das Essen ist immer wieder klasse. Die Hauptgerichte sind schön groß, dazu gibts Sauce und Beilagensalat und ich LIEBE die Vorspeisen ( besonders das Chicken Tikka Tandoori und die Samosas). Ich bestell gern ein paar verschiedene Sachen und ess davon später noch. Der Joghurt-Minz-Dip ist einfach mega lecker. Weiter so!

Die Sibylle und ich essen gerne beim Bistro Bombay, das ist immer Bomben mäßig. Das Butter Chicken extra scharf brennt bei uns beiden immer zwei Mal aber schmecken tut das ja man man du. Lieferanten sind sehr nett also bitte immer das Trinkgeld Parat liebe Mitbürger! Liebe Grüße euer Peter
