Mehek - Indisches Restaurant in Berlin

Wir waren dort schon oft essen und es schmeckt immer sehr gut. Man kann sich so viel Reis nachbestellen, bis man satt ist. Der Reis ist auf den Punkt gekocht. Die Bedienung ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Der Laden ist sauber und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier absolut. Das Hähnchen mit Mango-Ingwer-Soße ist sehr empfehlenswert. Die Portionen ist sehr großzügig.

Essen ist lecker, frisch und der Service sehr gut.

Wir waren zunächst sehr begeistert von der großen vegetarischen Auswahl. Das Essen hat uns dann allerdings sehr enttäuscht. Das Palak Paneer hatte eine sehr ungewöhnliche Farbe und Konsistenz, wie püriert und ganz matt, während wir es sonst „gröber“ und wesentlich frischer/grüner kennen. Das Matter Paneer erinnerte geschmacklich leider eher an ein Tiefkühl-Fertiggericht. Der eigentliche Höhepunkt war jedoch, dass sich mitten im Essen ein langes schwarzes Haar befand. Da weder meine Mutter noch ich lange schwarze Haare haben und sich das Haar mitten im Gericht befand, konnten wir ausschließen, dass es von uns stammt. Daraufhin mussten wir beide gerade erst angefangenen Gerichte wegschmeißen. Sehr schade um das Essen und das Geld.

Das Essen & der Service waren mehr als Perfekt. Man hat sich richtig wohl gefühlt und wurde sehr zuvorkommend behandelt. Eins der besten Restaurants in denen ich in Spandau gegessen habe.

Sehr leckeres Essen zu erschwinglichen Preisen. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich. Wir können das Restaurant zu 100% weiterempfehlen und kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Ich war schon in vielen indischen Restaurants. Mehek gehört definitiv zu den drei besten! Alles wird frisch zubereitet, der Paneer ist hausgemacht und das Essen ist einfach so unglaublich lecker, dass man gar nicht anders kann, als zu viel zu essen! Ein herzlicher Besitzer und ein Restaurant mit 19-jähriger Tradition. Danke ❤️

I went to this restaurant today and was unfortunately very disappointed. The food had hardly any flavor, the portion was much too small, and the rice was old and dry. For the price, I really expected more. I won't eat there again and unfortunately can't recommend it.

Authentic Indian Flavours in the Heart of Berlin! I recently had a meal from this wonderful Indian restaurant and was genuinely impressed! The paneer curry was rich, creamy, and full of flavour, paired perfectly with aromatic basmati rice. You can tell the food is made with love and true Indian spices. What made the experience even better was the hospitality. The owner is incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming — it truly felt like being at home. He took the time to talk and ensure everything was perfect. If you’re in Berlin and craving authentic Indian food with a personal touch, this place is a must-try! Will definitely be coming back.

Excellent food, top hosts and unbeatable value for money... if we want to eat Indian food, we go to Spandau to see "our" Indian restaurant. The food at Mehek tastes incredibly delicious. If you wish, it can also be spiced really hot, just like you really eat it in India!! We always enjoy coming back...

Eat on site or order and pick up 10 minutes before the store closes. The food is fresh and tasty, the best Indian in Spandau. Always friendly and people go there to convince you...the rice alone is awesome! Please always stay like this, dear team! 6 out of 5 stars!

I recently visited the Indian restaurant Mehek in Berlin-Spandau and was completely impressed. The owner welcomed me with exceptional warmth and made me immediately feel at home. The restaurant's interior is authentically designed, creating a welcoming atmosphere that perfectly complements the dining experience. I was there recently with my family and we were really impressed. Of the five of us, three, including me, were vegan. That's why we were really looking forward to the vegan dishes. The owner and his family were really very friendly to us and took our every wish into account. The food was really, really tasty and each of our dishes was so unique in taste that I found it hard to say which was the best. In addition to the normal menu, there is an extra vegan menu with many dishes and side dishes. The mango sauce was especially delicious! I will definitely come back often and try out the vegan menu!

Visitamos como gente inglesa con poco o ningún conocimiento del idioma alemán y el personal era tan acogedor y encantador. La camarera en particular tenía tan buen inglés y fue tan atento durante nuestra visita. La comida era deliciosa, con porciones de muy buen tamaño, lo que significa que no pudimos terminar todo! Optamos por un pollo al curry korma, unas madras de pollo, arroz basmati, algunos poppadoms y un pan naan. Honestamente la comida era tan delicioso - el pan naan en particular era uno de los mejores que he comido! La única razón por la que he dado cuatro estrellas es porque no aceptan tarjetas de visado - si se basara puramente en la comida y el servicio, sería 5 estrellas de mí. No aceptar visa no fue demasiado un problema, ya que por suerte soy de los que les gusta llevar dinero en efectivo también, pero dado que esto era una comida de negocios, significaba que no podíamos usar nuestras tarjetas de trabajo, así que tendré que reclamar el dinero de vuelta. Debo destacar que este restaurante es una delicia absoluta en Spandau y estoy encantado de haberme topado con él inesperadamente. Lo recomendaría.

We were at Mehek around half past seven on a Sunday evening and after a short time we were the only guests. But you shouldn't let that confuse you. The service was very friendly and both the starter (mixed pakora with very tasty sauces!) and the main courses didn't take long to arrive. The reason for the visit was the large selection of vegetarian dishes, which were also convincing. We had the palak paneer and the eggplant stuffed with vegetables and nuts. The sauces were very tasty and spicy, even if I usually find the spinach to be less creamy (almost pureed). But the taste is great! The recommended "bread with air in it" was a great complement to the great spiced rice. We also had the Indian red wine, which was impressive both in terms of taste and its reasonable price. Overall, great value for money! Particularly nice: there was also a mango liqueur on the house with the bill.

We really enjoy eating there! If desired, there is a vegan menu that has a lot to offer.

The food was absolutely delicious. It was neat and clean, as you would expect from a restaurant. The service was nice and friendly. The prices were cheap. We will definitely come back. two people with two main courses, dessert drinks and a coffee at the end all for €52.

Very bad experience! We ordered the food and asked if to be a bit spicy. We received the food and it was impossible to eat, it burned our mouth! The dish included 98% sauce and 2 small pieces of chicken,and another dish that included 3 pieces of paneer. We called the waiter and asked for a solution because the food was unbeatable, and was offered to replace the dishes, we agreed and got back 2 plates with little sauce in them with no chicken and paneer at all! It was a complete disappointment,not recommended at all!

We went because of the many good reviews. The first "bad" sign for us should have been that not a single table was occupied early in the evening, we were completely alone in the restaurant. The mango lassi were super thick, tasted artificial and like 10 kilos of sugar - I definitely know it differently and better. The salad also came with three very artificial looking dressings, looked unappetizing and was left standing. The main courses, however, were delicious at a reasonable price. The portion of rice to share could have been a little larger for two people - you were full, but you had to skimp a bit. The garlic naan I ordered was also good, but it didn't really taste like garlic. Overall, very friendly service, not a long wait and good main dishes, although there are definitely better and more authentic Indian cuisines in Berlin.

I've eaten at Mehek's several times over the years and I have to say that it was consistently very good. Nice little atmosphere with an outdoor area and service that is good and friendly. The most important thing: The food is very tasty, spicy and well seasoned. Since there were often complaints that it wasn't spicy enough and that it was tailored to the German palate - just ask the waiter for a decent level of spiciness and you'll get it. I always enjoy coming back when I get lost in Spandau!

I enjoyed the service here with friendly staff and everything they serve is freshly cooked even tea ☕ The outside sitting is especially complementary when it's summer. Must try Dal-makhni and butter chapati served in authentic Indian taste. If you are looking for something cosy with Indian flavours in Spandau this is a must visit place.

The vegan dishes were very tasty, but could have contained a bit more vegetables. Mainly lots of sauce. Overall we were very satisfied. 😊

After the third visit: Very boring Germanized Indian food. As is often the case, a handful of the basics of the typical recipes, bland and without strength and love even on the third visit and the nice request “original spiciness, not like last time”. Even the green chili relish is mild, but is served to us with a warning every time… no thanks. Salad dressing? The same dips are on there as for dinner. It's fine. There is no Indian soul at the stove, and the friendly service doesn't help. Then I'll cook myself again.

quite disappointed with the food as an Indian. the lamb biryani was literally just vegetable rice with lamb pieces in it; it was far from any real biryani. maybe if you're non Indian, you could give it a try but this for sure isn't authentic.

Simple restaurant with simple food, more sauce than anything else, rather disappointing

Here you can experience authentic Indian cuisine! You will receive friendly service in a pleasant, clean atmosphere. Compared to other Indian restaurants all over Germany (which we visited), "Mehek" is the undisputed number one!!! Even compared to our dining experiences in India, it probably ranks in the top ten!

Das beste indische Restaurant in Spandau! Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und haben immer einen Witz auf den Lippen. Das Essen ist richtig gut und insgesamt lädt es zum Verweilen und Genießen ein. Wir kommen gern hierher um den Abend bei gutem Essen ausklingen zu lassen.

Ambiente schmuddelig und Service lieblos. Das Essen können wir nicht bewerten, da wir uns vorher entschieden haben lieber zu gehen. Der Geruch im Innerenraum war auch nicht so wie man es in einem indischen Restaurant erwarten darf.

10 Jahre haben wir gebraucht um endlich mal auch hier einzukehren. So lange wohnen wir schon in der Nähe, aber irgendwie nie geschafft mal hier essen zu gehen. Nun haben wir es auch nicht so sehr mit der indischen Küche und sind erst vor einiger Zeit durch Freunde herangeführt worden. Deshalb haben wir uns heute mal hier nieder gelassen. Zu viert sind wir hier zum Mittagessen hergekommen. Die Portionen der Speisen waren ausreichend. So das man nicht mehr hungerig ist und auch noch Platz für ein Nachtisch bleibt. Wir haben uns dann für alle 6 Sorten entschieden, weil sich keiner auf eine einzelne Sorte festlegen wollte. Die Speisen waren recht mild gewürzt und somit sehr bekömmlich. Auch die Getränke waren sehr lecker, der Mango Shake hätte vielleicht ein wenig kühler sein können. Am Ende fiel auch die Rechnung für 4 Hauptspeisen und 8 Getränke sowie 6 Eis (wobei man die süßen Keramik Töpfchen mit nehmen darf! ) mit rund etwa 132€ auch human aus. Also wir kommen bestimmt noch mal wieder.

Waren zu fünft dort, 3 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder.. die Kinder waren glaub ich nicht so begeistert.. aber die 3 Hauptgerichte waren ziemlich lecker .. obwohl 2 davon irgendwie ziemlich gleich geschmeckt haben.. die balon Brote mit den Soßen sind lecker

I visited this place to have Indian food as was craving the same for sometime.I was incredibly disappointed with the food that was served. I ordered Butter chicken and Mutton Curry but they fell far short of my expectations. Both dishes were made using ready to eat gravy by adding boiled meat to it. It fails to capture the essence of indian cuisine

Na een bezoek aan de binnenstad van Berlijn hier rustig gegeten in buitenwijk Spandau. De schotel voor 2 pers. is sterk aan te raden.

Das Essen ist OK und die Bedienung freundlich. Wir haben auf der Terrasse gesessen. Die Straße ist so laut, dass eine ungestörte Unterhaltung nicht einfach ist.

Blanke Enttäuschung , Lammsuppe sehr Butterlastig ,wenig würze . Salat in einer 3 -fachsosse ertränkt . Essen mit wenig Gemüse . Quasi 3 Streifchen Gurke . Zu teuer für das Essen . Aber jeder hat ein anderen Geschmack. Es gibt andere " geschmackvollere " indische Resturants in Spandau . Wir hatten uns schon gewundert das zur Mittagszeit nur 1 Tisch besetzt war . Das brauchen wir nicht nocheinmal .

Lange Wartezeit obwohl der Laden fast leer war. Lammsuppe war Butterlastig . Essen mit sehr wenig Gemüse. Salat mit 3 Soßen ertränkt .... Nie wieder ...

Durchwachsen ist mein Urteil, Quantität bei Vorspeise und dann die Qualität bei den Hauptgerichten, drei Gerichte mit immer der selben Sauce und wir sind zu Zweit nicht wirklich satt geworden und haben gut 50€ dort gelassen, hat mich leider nicht überzeugt...🥲

waren als familie auf einem sonntag hier essen. wir wurden herzlich empfangen, zügig und freundlich bedient. die portionen wirken optisch klein, reichen aber vollkommen aus. wir sind alle zufrieden und mega satt geworden. kommen definitiv wieder 🫶🏼
