Meckatzer Sportalp Oberjoch in Bad Hindelang

We were invited to a wedding reception at the Sportalp. Even though there were 130 people there, everything went smoothly. The extremely friendly waiters provided everyone with delicious food, and the drinks, including cocktails, arrived in no time at all – something I've never experienced before on such a scale. Because we enjoyed the food so much and liked the service and ambiance (an Allgäu mountain hut) so much, we went back the next day. The spinach dumplings, mountain farmer's hash brown, and schnitzel were simply delicious. They were accompanied by delicious beer and good wine, and the service was excellent. Full marks, we'd love to come back!

We were here for dinner and the following day for our wedding reception. The people here really give their all to deliver perfect service. I've rarely experienced such a good combination of cuisine, excellent food, and service.

Great ambiance and delicious food at fair prices: The tarte flambée is highly recommended – even the vegetarian version. The same goes for the Kaiserschmarren (sweet pancake) with homemade compote and fresh berries.

A great spot in Oberjoch if you're looking for truly good food at fair prices in a charming atmosphere. It's rustic yet airy inside, and outside offers a fantastic panoramic view. My veggie burger was the best I've ever eaten. 😊👌🏼 Thanks to the fantastic team.

Excellent food, great service, and child- and dog-friendly. A fantastic restaurant you'll want to visit again and again. Highly recommended are the Gröstl (spiced pork) and the pulled pork burger.

We celebrated my daughter's wedding. This place is truly spectacular, beautiful, peaceful, with a super view of the mountains, the food, the service, truly a dream location.

-Completely over-the-top menu (tuna steak, etc.). -Overwhelmed staff even though it's not busy. -Background music like a beach club. -As a beer lover!! (Great brewery in the Allgäu region), Sportalp offers far too few specialty beers! Including wheat beer before Erdinger!!? But a great location.

Been there several times, never disappointed. Kitchen open relatively late, food extremely good, service fast and friendly. You don't need anything more.

The food and drinks were delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The chef advised us on gluten-free options. We had fries and a salad with goat cheese, respectively.

We had a delicious meal and a lovely stay. The servers were prompt and attentive. The regional cuisine is excellent, and the Thai curry was also top-notch and very tasty. My only minor criticism was that the portion was a bit too small (both in terms of filling you up and the price). Nevertheless, it's worth a visit and I'd happily go back!

We arrived at the start of the evening business. Around 5:30-6:00 p.m. The evening menu offers many Bavarian delicacies. Prices range from reasonable to expensive. We ordered vegetarian cheese spaetzle and the Meckatzer Pfanne (cheese spaetzle with chicken and pork in a mushroom cream sauce). With two drinks, the total came to just under €50. The staff is friendly and accommodating. If we plan another visit to Oberjoch, we'll be happy to return.

What made this day so special was not only the dreamy location, but above all the people who brought it to life. Tobias had everything under control with his comprehensive organization – calm, professional, and always with his heart. And then Kosta and his service team: we have rarely experienced such a well-coordinated, attentive, and warm team! Our guests are still raving about the hospitality and the perfect service. Our external service providers were also the perfect complement: 📸 Eren Karaman, with his eye for the moment and his calm manner, created images that we will look back on with pride and emotion for the rest of our lives. 🎶 DJ Beattube perfectly captured the musical vibe – from the emotional sounds during the ceremony to the absolute party atmosphere in the evening. The dance floor was packed from start to finish! We are filled with gratitude and emotion when we think back on this day. We wanted to go there for dinner today. The notice said it was open, and the door was open. But the entire restaurant was empty. No staff anywhere in sight. What a pity.

Organizationally, everything went perfectly, and the setup and teardown went flawlessly. The staff is always friendly, prompt, and extremely organized. This restaurant is terrible. You can't walk here with ski boots because you'll fall. The equipment is very poor and to get up on the way you need a climbing course. From my point of view it's very bad

Basically I feel comfortable and in good hands. I recently ordered a small mixed salad and what I received was a very small green salad with three tomatoes and a bit of carrot and no dressing. I was very disappointed with that and the price-performance ratio didn't fit at all. My colleague had cheese spaetzle and there was a mixed salad. How can that be? I don't think it's fair at all.

A table was reserved for 8 of us, and we were first made to wait 10 minutes until someone even showed us our table. 2 starters didn't come at all, 2 soups did but were less than lukewarm. Unfortunately, this was also the case with the main courses, everything cold to lukewarm. Onion roast with cheese spaetzle is a beef fillet with a few ready-made fried onions and cold spaetzle. When we complained about the cold spaetzle, a new plate of cold spaetzle came. Burger tasteless, no spices, tarte flambée baked to death and rock hard. The waiter is not interested in complaints. A 20% discount didn't save anything either. Not recommended: expensive and not tasty

My husband was here a few weeks ago and was very impressed. That's why we stopped here after our day of skiing. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Only the atmosphere in the hut was nice. Unfortunately there is no service when skiing. The food has to be brought outside, even if you sit inside and want to warm up. Both Kaiserschmarrn and Käsespätzle were lying carelessly in a large dish that looked like they had been there for a long time. That's why it became a yeast dumpling. It's a shame, we were looking forward to the delicious food.

We were shocked at how bad this hut has become during skiing (thought it was delicious for years) - what's going on here? Ate soup and a yeast dumpling in the self-service area in the afternoon. The lentil soup was lukewarm, but otherwise quite ok, although the yeast dumpling wasn't at all. Is this cheap convenience goods? In any case, not at all fresh/fluffy and garnished with two hairs. Bah. The apres-ski music doesn't save the mood anymore. Too bad. But that was really a big disappointment.

Modern alpine gastronomy in ski hut style... beautifully decorated... even if the rustic flair of a hut or restaurant is missing... the food came quickly... including a delicious greeting from the kitchen... prices were slightly high, however still ok...especially since the taste and quality were convincing...except for the slightly dry beef...everything was very harmonious...as was the Meckatzer beer on tap...so all in all a cool location in the mountains. ..with beautiful surroundings...😎

We have been to many good restaurants, here and there… Why Oberjoch caught us?! No idea, maybe because of the Meckatzer Sport Alp...?! The food is sensational (thanks to the boss) the service is the best I have ever experienced… ...warm...likeable...with humor..."Alex" is simply outstanding, but that's what counts for everyone here... For dessert I asked for the bread/toppings from the starter, which Alex served on a dessert plate 😂😂😂 …THANKS! It has rarely been so cozy, friendly and delicious!

A dream in the Alps! The Meckatzer Sportalp in Oberjoch impresses with a warm, inviting atmosphere and a perfect mix of modern comfort and alpine charm. The service is first class, the staff friendly and attentive. The food is fresh, tasty and lovingly prepared, and the regional specialties are particularly recommended. The location is ideal for hiking, skiing and mountain biking. The perfect place for a trip to the Alps. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

We had our wedding on July 13th, 2024 in the Meckatzer Sportalp and it was exactly as we had imagined. The view and the ambience is simply a dream. The team around Tobi is awesome and so well-coordinated and on the ball that no glass or anything else was ever empty. The food served as a table buffet was incredibly delicious!!!! We spent our 25th wedding anniversary there in the evening. We ate and drank excellently and were served very, very friendly. We were even treated to a completely unexpected surprise dessert! It was a really great evening, we would love to come back and can only recommend Sportalp!

A nice place to chill. My food was good and served quite quickly. The taste is right, without the feeling of being fobbed off in a ski swing. The only thing I can rate as ambience is the view of the lake.

Super delicious food! Totally nice and attentive service! Great ambience! Nothing to complain about, except that unfortunately we couldn't go there during this holiday because the restaurant is completely booked on the weekends. Well, it speaks for itself. We'll come back on our next vacation ;-)

I had the pleasure of attending a group event in a beautiful location with breathtaking views. The restaurant itself has a rustic charm that radiates cosiness and warmth. The selection of Bavarian fare was outstanding, with a variety that appealed to both traditional and innovative tastes. What was particularly impressive was the speed and attentiveness of the staff, who were always courteous and in a good mood despite the obvious hustle and bustle. It is rare to experience such professional service that still does not lack a personal touch. I can only warmly recommend this experience.

The most beautiful place is in the middle by the fire, we were there twice and also made reservations for Easter Sunday. Toilets are in the basement and super clean. All doors open electrically, simply perfect.

A very nice restaurant, the online booking was very easy, the table by the fireplace worked. The roast roast we ordered was exceptionally tender and very good. The extremely friendly waiter surprised us at the end. When we were paying, we told him that it was my girlfriend's birthday today, we were about to leave, he said 'Just a moment, please stay a moment' then he came with a small fireworks/fountain on his plate with a dessert for the two of us and said Happy Birthday All guests took part in singing. Eine sehr schönes Restaurant, die Onlinebuchung war sehr einfach ,das mit dem Tisch am Kamin hat geklappt. Der bestellte Rostbraten war außergewöhnlich zahrt und sehr gut. Der Äußerst freundliche Kellner hat uns dann zum Abschluss noch überrascht. Wir sagten ihm beim zahlen das meine Freundin heute Geburtstag hat , wir wollten dann gerade gehen , er meinte ' Moment bitte bleiben sie noch kurz ' dann kam er mit einem kleinen Feuerwerk/ Fontänen auf dem Teller mit einem Nachtisch für uns zwei und hat Happy Birthday gesungen alle Gäste haben sich beteiligt. With beautiful weather, it was of course very crowded and well organized. The prices are quite steep, a yeast dumpling costs over 11.00 euros.

We are a group of 12 people who are currently enjoying our skiing holiday in Oberjoch. I can only recommend the Sportalp. Since there were so many of us, we sat in the VIP lounge. That was very pleasant because we were among ourselves. The service, the food and the ambience were just great. Above all, our waiter was just great. We liked it so much that we made a reservation for the following day. The prices are a bit high, but in the current economic situation, that's unfortunately almost normal.

We were here for a quick afternoon coffee. Unfortunately only self-service inside. Everything was prepared, unfortunately including the Kaiserschmarrn. Can be compared to a snack bar. Thank you anyway.
