You can see and taste the passion and love that went into this place. We arrived after 10 pm, but still had a very good meal and received a friendly welcome. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is great. To be honest, it was one of the best meals I've ever had eating out.

Food is good though service wise can be worked on in terms of speed. Hence it goes under 4 stars as it was quite slow and the waitress doesn't know much about the drinks/food. It's a small restaurant with a bit of charm.

We were absolutely thrilled with our visit to Meaze's Place! The atmosphere was lively and the place was packed – we were happy to have been able to get a seat on the spur of the moment. The four drinks were pleasantly served without ice cubes, much to our delight – a small detail that shows how attentive the service is here. The veggie rolls and the platter for three people were excellent – ​​fresh, aromatic, and lovingly prepared. For us, the best Eritrean food in the region. The service was friendly and attentive, despite the full house. A thoroughly enjoyable visit; we would love to return.

Extremely tasty food and very nice service

I can't recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food was made with cheap ingredients and had no flavor at all. To make matters worse, the owner showed no interest in interacting with the customers. The food was unhealthy, the tables dirty, and when we pointed it out, they refused to admit it. Horrible food and even worse service. A disgrace.

Very comfortable interior with friendly staff. Their English is not excellent but there were no issues. The food was delicious, especially the fluffy injera—some of the best I’ve had. The food could have been more spiced and flavorful.

ordered this with my friend both got diarrhea the next morning. I'm still on the toilet and suffer from belly pain after 2 days.. Besides that, they gave me the wrong beer. one waitress was kinda unfriendly, she basically stared at our table unfriendly cuz we almost finished our food and were not leaving. The atmosphere and deco is not bad though. But i would suggest u to be caution with the food hygiene.

They're open late, even on Sundays! The atmosphere is so cozy and nice. The staff are incredibly friendly and beautiful. I want to go every day. 🤣 The food comes out quickly, too. I ordered a single beer plate for one guy, and it was so big I couldn't finish it all. 🥲 It's delicious. I think it would taste similar if you wrapped bulgogi, vegetables, and mashed potatoes in a buckwheat pancake-like dough. The portions are generous and it's so delicious.

Went there for a forced dinner due to a flight cancellation. Very cosy restaurant with incredible vibes. The staff was very friendly and helpful, everyone's speaking English. We had the mixed platter which was simply delicious. Can also recommend the banana beer. Five out of five, would definitely go again.

1. The servers give menu cards with outdated prices and they do not even bother to warn you ahead of time. I myself brought the issue to one of the servers and she said “ that’s my problem not yours” imagine this type of behavior from the servers. Another staff apologized and brought the excuse of that most of his customers know because they eat everyday in her restaurant. 2. The food was not all of that and service was below mediocre. The food was dried . In the platter there was no lentils nor spinach. The server SAID THAT SOMALI WOMEN DONT EAT GREEN NOR LENTILS. This Ethiopia woman was stereotyping all somali women that they don’t eat spinach nor lentils , most stupid rationale .

Extremely delicious food, especially for vegetarians. I've never encountered Eritrean cuisine before. My conclusion: "Meaza's Place is a wonderful ambassador for Eritrean cuisine." The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. I felt very comfortable. I'll definitely be back soon!

This was the best restaurant experience during our vacation in Frankfurt. Very friendly service, delicious food, and a lovely decor—simply an all-around fantastic experience. I don't usually give 5 stars; there's always something I'm not crazy about. Here at Meaza's Place, I found much more than a restaurant, a culture, and a place to reconnect. It was a sensory experience. If you think you're a perfectionist, this place isn't for you. There's no cutlery. And it's all beautiful; you eat and you reach a continent that's close by but always feels light years away. The food is delicious; I appreciated the care and passion in the service, explaining it to us, and making sure everything was to our liking. The place is decorated with a warm soul, it makes you feel part of something! I confess I loved everything about it. Everyone was kind, welcoming, and eager to let you try their specialties. They gave me a wonderful experience that I will cherish. I've already recommended it to friends, family, and acquaintances. Now I'm recommending it to you, because in Frankfurt, it's the best place to feel part of something unique! Thank you for everything and also for your smiles!

I visited Meazi Place today with high expectations, but unfortunately, I left quite disappointed. I ordered the "mahberawi" for one person, hoping for a delightful experience, but the quality of the food was far from acceptable. The meat stew was poorly cooked, lacking the rich flavors and tenderness I anticipated. Additionally, the roast meat was also not prepared properly, resembling more of a rushed effort rather than a carefully crafted dish. Given the subpar quality of the food, I found the prices to be quite unfair. On a positive note, the service was a redeeming factor. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the water was served promptly. However, great service alone cannot compensate for the lack of quality in the food. I hope the management takes this feedback into account to improve their offerings in the future.

We stopped here for dinner by chance because we were staying at the NH Collections Hotel and didn't want to go far. The ambiance inside, the service, and the food were all really good. It was interesting to note that there were no cutlery, but we didn't care anyway given the atmosphere. It's definitely worth a visit.

I cannot rate this place highly enough. If you like Ethiopian or Eritrean food, or are looking for good vegan options, this is the place. The atmosphere inside is first class, super friendly service, and the food is really outstanding. Amazing presentation and incredible value. We took the vegetarian platter for four, hungry people and couldn't finish it. Genuinely recommended!

The food was very good! Even the mango and banana beer were tasty (similar to a shandy). The service was a bit slow, and the checkout process was disastrous: the waitress hands out the receipt, takes the money, and brings it to "Mama," who checks it and gives the remaining change back to the waitress, who then returns the money to the customer. The same thing happened with the debit machine.

This is the food of the African country called 'Eritrea'. It is a traditional food where you pour all the food shown in the picture into a large bowl and dip or wrap it with a slightly sour bread like the one on the right. It is a culture where you eat with your hands, but if it is inconvenient, you can ask for a spoon. My husband, my mother, and I came on a trip and it looked fun, so we came ㅋㅋ The portions are quite large!! I thought I was going to burst..ㄷㄷㅋㅋㅋ There are also people who can speak English, so they take good care of you and the service is good. Korea has a ssam culture, so I didn't feel as uncomfortable as I thought!!ㅎㅎ My mom also enjoyed it ㅎㅎ However, they don't give you wet tissues, and they only give you regular napkins, so it would be good to keep that in mind 😉 I experienced a culture that you won't find in Korea, and it was so delicious and fun~ According to my standards, it's Michelin 2 stars!ㅎㅎ If you are nearby, you should definitely try it~ㅎㅎ

Nice little restaurant. Food was nicely served at the table. A nice waiter explained the food to us. Unfortunately, neither of us could tolerate the food and reacted with vomiting and fever throughout the night. What a shame!

A definite recommendation. A very nice restaurant, but it's not too big, and the ambiance is very appealing (not that I know what it's like in Eritrea). The food is simply wonderful. Variety means: vegetarian but also meat—if you like, spicy and less spicy dishes. The Eritrean bread (teff injera) is wonderful and (of course) a perfect match for the available dishes. The platter for four, as described above, was a real treat. The "mango beer" (naturally a bit more drinkable) is also highly recommended, at least to try.

We had dinner here and we enjoyed it a lot! The food was amazing and when we finished the toppings and had more bread left on the plate, the waiters asked us if we wanted some additional toppings so that we can finish it. Of course, we couldn't say no! I had the two dju dju beers that were offered, banana and pineapple. Imo, banana was the clear winner. The experience of drinking the beer out of a coconut-looking bowl instead of a glass was fun. The personnel was really kind and the vibes in the place we're terrific. Clearly, this is a place where people have a good time!

First experience with African food. Very spicy but I honestly liked it. The place is full and the seats are a little tight. We asked for cutlery to eat since we eat directly with our hands from a large plate in the center of the table. An experience that can be repeated. Good service and quite fast

We also found this restaurant completely by chance and enjoyed Erite food for the first time. Everything was very tasty, and of course it took some getting used to eating with your fingers. The friendly waitress explained to us that the flatbread is made from teff. So some superfood on top.

This is my first time trying Ethiopian's foods..Everything was tasty except the meat was a little bit hard for my liking. The girl who served me was very friendly and explained to me how they make the Injera. I really love the Injera and found out that it is really super healthy flatbread/tortilla.. ( Google the recipe and omg it really a long long process to make a good and perfect Injera 😅😅)
