Meaza platter for 3 people, various types of meat, potatoes, salad and a great flatbread. It all tasted very tasty. The staff was very attentive and friendly but not intrusive. Highly recommended!

It was my first time eating Eritrean food and I was thrilled. Found this place by chance, but it was a stroke of luck. Very friendly welcome, everything in English, and even though we hadn't reserved, we got a table. The atmosphere was really cozy, beautifully furnished and decorated. We had the mixed rolls as a starter, which were very tasty. Afterwards we chose the plate for 2 and were thrilled. Super tasty. And even though it was a bit strange to eat without cutlery, it was a great experience and we'll be happy to come back when we're back in Frankfurt.

It was my first time tasting Eritrean food. What an unforgettable experience ! The injeras weee a dream of fluffiness, the Zegni Dorho was spicy, comforting, textured. And I enjoyed the Dju Dju banane beer too 😊 And a restaurant is not only about food : at Meaza, the people are welcoming, the mood is relaxed and the decoration is a perfect setup for a lovely meal. Bravo!

Food remained the same, it lacks the spicies, and it's too plain considering the cusine type. They increased the prices 20%- 50% depending on the item compared to 6 months ago. We were disappointed, we felt we paid too much for what we got. Not coming back again! :(

There were four of us and we had the mixed platter for 4 people. We had to wait almost an hour for the food, but it was totally worth it: it tasted great!

The food is fantastic and has an absolutely incomparable price-performance ratio. The service is consistently friendly, but some may find it good to know that English is spoken. The restaurant was very full, which is nice for the owners, as they have to take a little time for entertaining. A great experience and wonderful food.

We ordered Tibs (nech Tibs) it was terrible. I ordered Scotch, they said they don't have scotch but the bottle was there in-front of us, they refused to sell by glass they said that is only for sell the whole bottle, I tried to buy the bottle they didn’t know the price and we couldn’t buy

Oh, so good! Great, fast, friendly service. Very helpful, sine we didn’t speak German. We got a combo vegetarian and meat platter to share. It was fun! Wine was good and inexpensive. Definitely recommend if you’re around the train station!!!

Something completely different. Surprisingly good dishes, but more to be tried. I found it interesting because we were the only Europeans in the store. But friendly, tasty and affordable. Yes, it doesn't look inviting at all from the outside. But go inside.

Delicious food! I’ve had Ethiopian and Eritrean food before, but two of the dishes in the mixed platter (for one) were so full of taste and subtle herb and spice nuances that I don’t really have the words to describe just how good they were. The rest was also delicious, but the yellow lentils and the chicken/beef in white sauce were the highlight. The vibe and atmosphere was relaxing and cozy, and the staff was very helpful - even when I asked them to close the entrance door as another customer was smoking outside and the smoke was coming in to the restaurant. I could barely eat half the dish in my photo - but I really wanted to, because it was so tasty! Absolutely recommend.

One of the best places to have food in Germany. I do not mean one of the best African food but one of the best foods of all cousins. The portions were so big that we had to bring almost 40% food to home and have another meal. The flavours of the lentils, the beef and the injera was mindblowing. Must go place.

I have been ordering there regularly for many years and I have to say it is the most authentic and best food in the entire Rhine-Main area. The locals also eat here and nowhere else can you get the dark Injara, only at Meaza. She doesn't skimp on the quality of the food. She loves making people happy with her food and awakening a desire for the culture in them. It is the best place to treat yourself to delicious Eritrean food and experience the warmth of the team. It is a small, lovingly run restaurant. The Meaza's Plate was very tasty, varied and well seasoned. The service was quick and friendly. The DjuDju beer is traditionally drunk from pumpkin shells and eaten with the hands with the injera flatbread. A very nice change and absolutely recommended.

You order in advance and even arrive 15 minutes later than the agreed pick-up time because from experience the first two times took a really long time. Then when you eat it you are confronted with only half-cooked food. 3 times like that. I'm sorry but this is a cultural insult to sell only half-cooked sauces for injera as dishes. Try at your own risk Staff but at least a little friendly which still doesn't justify a star

This is Eritrean food not the other E country food. They sell Eritrean beer and serve it in a coconut shell which is a nice touch. I recommend the palm beer. Food is excellent, probably the best in Frankfurt(I have been to 3 different places). We got the food for 6, even though we were 7. We weren't able to finish and we all started hungry. Very good value. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

Wir wurden super lieb empfangen. Haben das fruchtige Bier probiert (sehr zu empfehlen) und das essen war bombastisch!! Platte für 2 war auf jeden fall in den Top 10 was ich je gegessen habe!! Unbedingt ausprobieren!

I'd to take down my 5 star rating from last year, because the quality of service & food of this restaurant has gone downhill. It used to be really good, but starting a few months ago, they take half an hour to prepare the food. They don't even get it right (speaking as an Eritrean native, because I know what the dish is supposed to taste like.) I urge y'all to try other Habesha restaurants that are around Frankfurt, don't waste your money and time here.

Zdecydowanie polecam odwiedzić i spróbować doskonałej kuchni, podanej w oryginalny sposób. Zarówno dania mięsne jak i wegetariańskie przepyszne i zróżnicowane w bardzo przystępnej cenie. Miejsce ze świetnym klimatem i cudowną obsługą na najwyższym poziomie.

Vorab, die Rezessionen richtet sich weder an das Essen noch an das Ambiente weil es dazu garnicht gekommen ist. Wir wollten am Abend nach der Ehrlich-Brothers Show noch wo essen gehen und haben uns umgeschaut was in der Gegend noch offen hatte und wir haben uns aus ein paar Lokals aufgrund der guten Bewertungen für dieses hier entschieden. Wir haben extra vorher angerufen und gefragt ob die noch was für 2 Personen haben. Es hieß nur ja klar kommt gerne vorbei. Daraufhin sind wir die 15min rübergelaufen. Dort angekommen hat man uns begrüßt und erstmal knapp eine halbe Stunde warten lassen bis die Bedienung kam. Sie konnte uns zu den Gerichten leider nichts sagen, meinte sie fragt in der Küche nach und kam erst nach 10-15min wieder. Als sie zurück war hat sie uns mitgeteilt das leider alles bis auf paar vegetarischen Gerichte und rohes Rind leider schon alles ausverkauft ist und es nichts mehr gibt. Leider hat uns davon nichts angesprochen und wir sind gegangen. Damit hatten wir, mit Wegezeit, knapp eine Stunde verloren mit dem Ergebnis das die ganzen anderen Restaurants schon zu hatten und wir nichts mehr zu essen gefunden haben und heim gefahren sind. Man hat uns weder am Telefon, noch beim reinkommen, noch bei der ersten Bedienung gesagt oder mitgeteilt das sie fast nichts mehr an essen da haben. Es wurde sich zwar entschuldigt aber solange eine so wichtige Info zurück zu halten oder einfach nicht mit seinen Gästen zu reden direkt geht aus meiner Sicht nicht.

Leider bin ich vom meazas place garnicht überzeugt. Wir haben zwar kurzfristig noch einen Tisch bekommen aber erst nach 30 min kam jemand und hat nach unserer Bestellung gefragt. Erst dann wurde gesagt das nix mehr von der Katze verfügbar ist außer einpaar Rindfleisch Gerichte und die vegetarischen Gerichte. Wirklich gutes Deutsch spricht hier auch niemand. Wir mussten mit Händen und Füßen auf Englisch zu verstehen geben, dass wir dann nichts bestellen möchten und dann lieber wieder gehen möchten. Das hat die Bedienung die weder gutes deutsch noch Englisch gesprochen hat irgendwie nicht verstanden und wollte uns unbedingt ein Gericht einreden. Naja hier brauche ich jedenfalls nichts mehr bestellen. Eine direkte Info, dass so gut wie nichts mehr von der karte verfügbar ist, wäre gut gewesen, weil dann wären wir direkt wieder anders hingegangen und hätten nicht über 30 Minuten durch Wartezeit und Diskussion verloren
