Pumpkin cream soup, 1/2 chicken with fries and mushroom pans + salad were very good. The room was a bit cool, but there are blankets for that. Cozy atmosphere.

My chicken was not good, a mix of rubbery and dry. I believe it was prepared many hours before serving and reheated for a long time. A big disappointment for a restaurant that specializes in this. Also, it took almost an hour to get served in a restaurant that was 1/3 full. Why?

We traveled from Sevierville, Tennessee to landau Germany to visit family and were invited to McGockel restaurant to try their food. Let me tell you it was the best chicken, chicken wings, I’ve ever tried! The sauces were exceptional and the half chicken entree was juicy and so flavorful! We had salads to start ( excellent) and finished with a plateful of ice cream and fruit pastries. Could not of had a better meal!

Today we are here for the first time, we received a very warm welcome. Very nice staff. The food is top. I didn't do mine. Schnitzel MC Gockel and my husband had a MC Gockel burger. We weren't here for the last time today, we'll be back.

the chicken was as brown and crispy as the local girls on a beach vacation. The boss is legendary and simply personable, the service is quick, the prices are fair and the outdoor area is stylish. Tastes better than nuts.

It was my first time there and what surprised me most was the service. After the meal, the table was wiped down before dessert and there were cleaning wipes for the hands. Food was top notch. They are large portions.

This is my favorite chicken place EVER! Every time we are in the area we come here. The chicken is very crispy and has lots of flavor. A hidden gem in the German wine country.

I was pleasantly surprised after my colleague took me there. The portions are decent and good. Definitely highly recommended for a hungry man. This meal needs repeating
