McDonald's Restaurant in Wuppertal

A man is sitting next to the toilet and demanding money for me to wash my hands before eating. Seriously, McDonald's? Are you incapable of paying a cleaning staff's salary? What kind of service is that?

We were paying customers and ordered two meals and two desserts. When we were finished, I wanted to use the restroom. A man who was clearly not an employee was standing there, "entering." When I told him I'd already spent almost €30 on food and wanted to use the restroom, he tried to block my way and acted like he was Ronald McDonald himself. It's simply an absolute disgrace. I can understand that customers shouldn't have to pay this fee, but not customers who have already proven to have eaten there.

Solid McDonald’s food, has nice seasonal items that I haven’t seen in other McDonalds. There’s kids running around but thats to be expected. Generally just another McDonalds but had to remove one star because I got a food poisoning from there once (the problem was on my end cause I created a bad chemical reaction in my stomach with the food I ate beforehand). Good food nonetheless. Nice matcha

I find it cheeky to charge guests of a "restaurant" for using the restroom. In my opinion, that has nothing to do with service.

My daughter (12) ordered a Happy Meal today from the vending machine. Unfortunately, no receipt came out, just the number 164. The food was still handed out. Once again, the toy wasn't inside. When she asked, she was simply told there was no receipt, no toy. That's outrageous, since it wasn't her fault, and it's not customer-friendly at all. Apparently, they're ripping off children; they can be fooled.

The McDonald's has a nice location. Initially, the ordering terminals didn't produce receipts (three orders). The staff was sometimes overwhelmed and took a long time to serve the food, so some of it wasn't 100% warm. Additionally, the noise level is higher than at other McDonald's, and due to its downtown location, homeless people are also found there.

The food is quite good if you like fast food (just unhealthy). The staff are usually very nice but often in a bad mood and speak incoherently with all the noise in the background.

Super friendly staff and quick service

I've never eaten such bad plant-based nuggets. That's just referring to this McDonald's. I don't know, but the breading was more cardboard than anything else. Probably just reheated.

Absolutely terrible. The ordering terminals are so incredibly slow. The nuggets we received were incredibly hard and dry.

A disaster, I've been waiting for two hours for food. I called twice and one said the food was sent out five minutes ago and the other said we hadn't received anything. I called again and she told me it was sent out after 20 minutes and now it's not my fault and just hung up. For me it still says it's being prepared, so please don't lie and at least look at the address properly. If it comes cold the lady can eat it herself!!!! I will never order from there again!!!

The worst McDonald's I've ever been to. The staff were unfriendly. We've ordered Happy Meals there so many times and never got the toy. I went this year when they had glasses so I ordered a meal and didn't get a glass. It was dirty everywhere. The toilets aren't always clean and there isn't always toilet paper. Even if you eat there you have to pay, which you're not allowed to. As a pregnant woman you still have to pay. I just find it annoying because the food doesn't taste like it used to. The fries taste like old fryer grease, just disgusting. It's a real shame. And then you pay so much money and you get disgusting, cold food. I once waited over an hour for my food and nothing happened. Other people who were rummaging around for me got their food. A friend of mine went in with his dog and they didn't do anything.

So, I have to complain. I paid full price for meals and didn't get everything I ordered. It's a disgrace that items are offered and then not sold or served. Therefore, I'm not giving this McDonald's branch any stars for the food, ambiance, or service.

I had an extremely disappointing experience today, which I would like to share here. After finding a hair in my burger, I politely asked for a replacement. To my surprise, however, I was accused of placing the hair myself, even though the hair color wasn't my color. Instead of an apology or a solution, the situation escalated into an unnecessary argument with the staff. Particularly concerning was that the shift supervisor—a tall, lanky man with slightly curly hair—was instrumental in the confrontation and displayed an extremely rude attitude. Given this rudeness and aggressive behavior, I ultimately asked for a refund, as I had concerns about preparing a new burger under these circumstances. The reaction was shocking: The aforementioned shift supervisor aggressively shoved the money into my hand and told me to leave. Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable and demonstrates poor customer service, especially from someone in a leadership position. Based on these incidents, I cannot recommend this restaurant and will definitely not visit again.

From the outside, I found the store appealing and new-looking. But that quickly changed when I entered. Although it wasn't very busy, the noise level was high. There were none of the usual USB charging ports or even power outlets. There was someone sitting in front of the restroom who, at least in my opinion, was "extorting" money from you. I don't recall a wheelchair-accessible restroom. Overall, it was uninviting.

Unfortunately, ordering online with home delivery is often a disaster. Delivery times are usually constantly delayed. Whether before the order is prepared or even during preparation. While the drivers usually make up for lost time in the end, deliveries are often very late. And canceling via Lieferando isn't that easy either. Deadlines, etc., have to be met. The food itself is delicious. It could sometimes be warmer. But overall, only 1 star because of the often very long delivery delays. EDIT: The last two deliveries were received within the order time limit, so 2 stars would be better again.

This McDonald's branch is located in the city center, in a really nice spot. The interior is also well-designed – there's even a playroom for children with a projector that projects games onto the floor. That sounds very promising at first. Unfortunately, the positive impressions end right there. My visit is unfortunately severely marred by several things: Even though I don't come here often, I'm always negatively impressed by the cleanliness: the floors are sticky, there are often crumbs and trash lying around, and it's often difficult to find a clean table. The food, unfortunately, wasn't very tasty either. Particularly annoying is that there's a man constantly sitting right at the entrance to the restroom, demanding money from customers – even though using the restroom should actually be free. It would be really nice if these problems could be addressed so that you can truly enjoy your visit.

Food of the usual quality, no errors in the order. Very friendly staff. Unfortunately, there is no table service at this branch, and it's always very loud there, unlike other Mc's branches.

I've rarely been greeted so warmly at a McDonald's. The food was hot, everything was complete, and delicious. Also, a big compliment to the cleaning staff. I've rarely seen such attention to cleanliness and order.

Very low language skills among the staff. I'm not at all satisfied with the service. Some person without work clothes is sitting at the toilet door and charging unfounded charges. No straw for cold drinks (I find it very uncomfortable to drink)

I actually really enjoyed eating here, but unfortunately I was insulted by a very rude employee (with the red hair) because I wanted to enter the back seating area and didn't see that this area was closed. She insulted me and asked me if I could see the chair and the single shelf for the pills that were in my way and didn't look like a barrier at all. You could have said that more politely, then I would have personally picked up the mop and cleaned off the mess I made

Today we bought a Happy Meal at McDonald's - a complete disappointment. Firstly, the juice that actually goes with it was forgotten. Secondly, the toy was missing - the most important part for a child! What did I even pay for? A very unpleasant experience. My child was sad and our mood was completely ruined. I definitely won't buy anything there again!

Visited MC.Do in Wuppertal today. It was packed full and therefore loud overall. Ordered Smarten for €5.45 and was full (Cola, fries, mayonnaise and double cheeseburger).

Employees at the serving counter are completely unfriendly. We didn't get everything we ordered. There were no toys in the Happy Meals and some food was missing. I went to McDonald's, but my mood was immediately spoiled. The staff aren't just rude - they literally scream at the customers! When I asked a simple question, they started pointing fingers in my face and yelling, "I'm tired of answering questions, ask someone else!" Is that even normal?! The whole room echoes with the screams of the employees, no respect for the customers. Such behavior is simply unacceptable. I really can't recommend anyone to come here!

In the meantime, if you order something there, you immediately press "Done" as soon as the order comes in in order to keep your numbers artificially high and you still wait until the order is actually ready

Most backward McD in all of Germany. Self-service terminal: 50% defective. Terminal does not accept coupon code. You wait forever at the ordering counter. A visibly stressed employee shouts at customers when they ask for service. After I explained the problem with the code. He made it clear to me that I was too stupid to use the terminal. Overcrowded & slow, no table ordering like other McD's. Addendum: the order screens cannot process NFC payments. It is shown on the display, but does not work. Update 2024: Just like 5 years ago. Well, I was there today with my friends for dinner after a carnival party (we were dressed up). There was loud talk about my friend about how “hot” she would look. But that's exactly what underlines my real problem: This McDonald's is now like Germany - the "system is broken" and no matter how good the people are, they can no longer save it. Originally there were four old ordering kiosks in this McDonald's, and later four new ones were added. Actually, the new terminals work ten times faster than the old ones. But three of the four new order terminals have now failed, so only one is still working, but it no longer prints receipts. So you have to remember what you ordered or keep your order number in mind. Three of the old terminals are still in use, but one of them also doesn't print receipts, so customers have to remember their orders here too. This is how you see: If the system collapses into chaos, even the best team will no longer be of any help.

What has been annoying me for years is the man at the toilet. Since he's been here, I hardly ever go there anymore. I used to go there just to go to the bathroom and then it became a menu that I bought. This guy turns normal peeing into a customs job, a search to get into the White House, like you're a heavily armed gangster on the Mexican border. Dude, I just want to pee. Getting across the German borders is easier than going to the toilet at McDonald's. I don't want to be forced to spend a fortune on something that shouldn't cost anything. And since the menus have already become unaffordable and always give me diarrhea because it's simply inferior stuff, I just don't go there anymore because the 50 cents on top are really too much for me.

I’d say this is your usual McD. experience. Quick preparation times, usual selection. Friendly staff, not the most clean, but okay. Has a kids corner, a Mc Café and ordering machines (of which a few don’t work). It’s a bit loud, but I guess that is to be expected. If you want McDonalds. It’s as good as any other.

The machines don't work properly and orders are sent out incorrectly. An ice cream with chocolate lentils and caramel was ordered, we got it with peach sauce, instead of giving new ice cream, caramel sauce was put over it. Dangerous for people with allergies.

MC staff are very indifferent to the customers. A lot of food was missing from our order. They don't look at the customers and spend the whole time talking to each other.
