McDonald's Restaurant in Bochum

Well, what can I say? I spent €70 shopping and came home and half of it was missing. It's my fault because I didn't get it. It's actually sad, the bad thing is that you can't eat the burger at all 😡 and it was lovingly thrown on top. I couldn't eat it and had to throw the cheese away instead of it being a burger. It's next to the burger and you shouldn't really go there anymore, but you have to do everything for the kids.

There was a 0.4 cup in a 0.5. A complete rip-off. Never again 😂

Everything was very dated. Several times we had to wait long hours due to technical problems, or we were unable to travel at all.

We simply wanted to order a cappuccino or latte macchiato for on the go. However, the employees at the branch weren't ready when they opened and were busy preparing. Why customers had to wait at the counter while ice cubes were being refilled at 7 a.m. is beyond me. Otherwise, there were still chairs on the tables from cleaning... so it didn't look like they were prepared for customers. It didn't matter to us in this case, since we just wanted a coffee to go anyway.

Everything was fine. Short wait. The food tasted like any McDonald's.

I was here for the first time in ages and only noticed when I got home that a burger, which is twice as expensive these days, was missing. I was so annoyed because the burger from my menu wasn't there, and if I hadn't ordered a separate one, I simply wouldn't have had one. The drinks tasted very watered down. I waited about 20 minutes. What a shame :(

Very very very long waiting time not recommended

I've rarely seen such a filthy place! Not a single table was clean, and the order boards could have been cleaned. And the way the floor looked was simply disgusting. And no, it was by no means the only time I've been to that restaurant.

We stood in the McDonald's drive-thru for 12 minutes today before we could even order. Another 10 minutes before we got our food. There were already frustrated customers inside because things weren't moving forward. So, for the past few weeks, this branch has been a disaster. The only friendly ones are the middle-aged ladies (although they've worked here for years). Next time, we'd rather go to Burger King in Bochum or Essen. It's definitely faster overall.

Usually clean and fast, but sometimes you have to wait longer, sometimes up to an hour. Gentlemen of honor. Edit: The store hasn't been what it used to be for a long time. The employees are rude and unfriendly, you wait a long time, and the order numbers are always immediately printed off for statistics.

Only noticed at home: One burger was missing. A €3.69 overpayment was added to the bill. Why is there never one burger too many? The burgers were thrown into the cardboard box with hatred, all over the place, fries upside down. What's the point of that? Isn't there a boss who pays attention to things like that? An order over €35, and you just feel mistreated and ripped off. I've had enough of McDonald's, that's it. It makes me sick. Eat it yourself.

I've been there many times with my family, but unfortunately, it often happens that our menu is completely wrong. Actually, that's the most important thing in a fast food restaurant.

We waited a very long time for the food, and when it was served, it was only lukewarm. Questions weren't answered at all. The staff was unfriendly.

You can't buy anything at the McDonald's Café, and if you ask why—because cakes and everything else are in the display—you get yelled at. The staff are rude and completely overwhelmed. This is by far the worst McDonald's there is.

They are taking verry long for making just a mac flurry. When you order an ice coffee, they just tell you they have run out and give mac flurry, whcih is much cheaper

I waited over 30 minutes at my table for my food. Only when I came downstairs was my food ready, with burgers that had been sitting around for half an hour. The service and the waitress were unfriendly, and the food was not really edible and only lukewarm.

A terrible McDonald's, very dirty, both men's and women's restrooms were very dirty, the employees were blond, short, older, and very unfriendly. Please place your orders via terminal. Only the gentleman who brought us our food today was very nice, even though he seemed to be new and only serves food. Big glasses, dark hair, and an Indian accent.

Can't recommend this place. You wait at the checkout for over 5 minutes and no one comes to serve you. When asked, all I get is “I’ll be right there.” If you ask again you will only be insulted. You should avoid this shed.

Waiting 50 minutes for your food isn't exactly what I would call "fast food." If you ask after 35 minutes, you'll just be told that it's full. Other guests who came later got their food and left before I even had mine. My companion also had her meal 15 minutes earlier than me and was finished just as I was ready to start. But at least the order was complete, which unfortunately fails far too often.

We waited at the checkout for over 30 minutes and then at the table for over 40 minutes for the food. After we got up and asked where the food was, we still had to pick it up ourselves even though we had table service. Little Peach, who works there, was really cheeky. Call the manager straight away tomorrow

You wait 3 hours until you can pay

Unfortunately damn unfriendly staff on 05/30/25! Around 2:00 p.m. A gentleman who was a bit more stable and wore a light-colored shirt was completely overwhelmed (which can happen sometimes) but then became extremely rude to customers.

04/23/25 6 p.m There is a middle-aged employee at the drive-in counter. I have met her there several times and am always happy. She is always very friendly and unique in the environment 🥰 I hope this praise goes down well with the branch management and the nice lady.

Waited 15 minutes for 4 drinks and actually two burgers. The employee takes the order slip and then goes to the checkout and, with the slip in her hand, serves a customer who does not understand the order machine system. Either you do one or the other! As if the waiting time for a QUICK restaurant wasn't bad enough, one of the two burgers we ordered was missing. Despite a direct complaint (we wanted to eat outside), they refused to believe us that the burger was missing and only after a “discussion” with the manager?! We received the burger. We will avoid this branch in the future.

We wanted to have a quick bite to eat here on the way back from vacation. That was the biggest mistake. We waited about 50 minutes for the food we ordered at the terminal and half of the order arrived. After another 20 minutes the second part of the order arrived. But the burgers were missing, which we then brought in ourselves. One of two wraps wasn't what was ordered. When I made the complaint, the employee unpacked the wrap, rummaged around in it with his fingers, then wrapped it up again and gave it back to my daughter. She was so stunned that she couldn't make a sound. Finally, I ordered a coffee, for which we waited another 30 minutes. I've never experienced such a bad McDonald's. Unfortunately I had to give one star because no star isn't possible.

To be honest, I've never had such a bad meal at McDonald's. The fries came cold from the kitchen and the burger had too much sauce, salad and was somehow cold. What the hell happened to the Mc Sundae the ice cream melted in 2 minutes. A rat walked by outside this store. Never again. I don't recommend anyone to eat here. Mix up drinks and the food is a waste for no reason.

I mostly feel sorry for the employees because the store is always full and it can be stressful. But unfortunately that doesn't mean that as a customer you can forego the service at the same price. Every burger has little sauce. I just ate a Big Tasty and there was hardly any sauce on it. The cheeseburgers also had almost no ketchup. The medium fries were tiny. So actually everything was SHIT, but the price stayed the same and can keep going up. Please check who is so stingy, because many people in the kitchen do it right, but not everyone. I'm there more often and often turn a blind eye when something goes wrong, but slowly it's enough EDIT: I'm just seeing a lot of negative reviews piling up in a short space of time. I hope something is done about it. A lot of people complain and then go back anyway, but we're taking a break for now. It's really a lot of money that we "consumers" leave behind.

I'm always amazed at how McDonald's concept holds up, something is always missing from orders, apparently the people behind the counter can't even read anymore. The McChicken Chassic is now so small, a few more years and it will be as big as the Nuggets, absolutely disappointing shop.

Just McDonald. Mc Drive due to lock down. Took a while because the car queue is longer than normal. Otherwise everything is OK. Food was actually really warm.

I was in this branch yesterday and was really disappointed. The smell in the restaurant has been unbearable for months - it smells of old grease and poor hygiene. It is very unpleasant and spoiled the whole visit. After the visit I also had gastrointestinal problems. I have been a loyal McDonald's customer since childhood, but I will definitely avoid this branch now. What a shame! I hope McDonald's does something urgently about this.

Unfortunately, I am not served at Mc Café because supposedly there are only 2 employees available. I am offered coffee from a normal cardboard cup, but I would like to decide for myself whether I want to consume my hot drink like that or from a real cup. This non-existent service is incomprehensible!!!???

I'm disappointed with the treatment I received from the staff. They handed me cold food, and after two rude requests, they simply gave me my money back and didn't help me, a hungry customer. I've never felt so badly looked after! Customer reviews on this day are beyond embarrassing! That's not what you do! And I've been a customer for over 20 years!

I can say with absolute certainty that this branch is one of the worst in all of Germany. The staff is slow, unfriendly, disorganized and completely overwhelmed. Dear customers, if you're hungry for Macces you can go to any other branch nearby, just not to the place on Stormstrasse.

I ordered today from the MC Drive for the whole family because the bags were mixed and everything was in one big bag, it was difficult to check where I got home. We were missing burgers from the MC menu 3 times and the nuggets were without sauces. This is the 3rd time this has happened to us, never again!!!!!

Why has it become so expensive? 13 euros for 10 cm mcchicken menu x)

I waited a long time for my order

We were here today on the way back from Bochum and just wanted to have a little something to eat. As soon as we arrived, we noticed that the store was full but not overly busy. We had to wait over an hour for our order (3 menus with burgers and fries). Questions at the counter were dismissed with disrespect. "Sometimes you have to wait for the bus. It doesn't always come either." Great statement for a system catering company that obviously has no system or understanding. I've never experienced anything like this at the fast food giant. The fries were warm, the burgers were cold. Thank you very much. I'm not coming back. PS: The patty was missing from the Royal TS. At least this was replaced without any problems.

The display for serving food has been broken for weeks. Coupons and offers are incomplete on the order machine. 27 minutes waiting time, the opposite of fast food.

I waited over 20 minutes for 1 fish burger, 3 cheeseburgers and 2 hamburgers. When I got home I unpacked the fish burger and thought to myself WTF are they already saving on the cheese on the fish and sauce. It's just overpriced and the food doesn't even taste good anymore.

Was there yesterday 2/10/25 Ordered the really great “M” and 2 cheeseburgers for a colleague and 2 coffees... The burgers were cold and old luckily the coffee was hot It showed once again that MC is something to break the habit of, I'm up to the top with this cold old stuff that was probably lying there for an hour... see you again in 5-10 years... You wait far too long for your food and that's a no go for a fast restaurant

A very good McDonald's compared to the one in Ruhr Park or the old ones in Bochum Hbf.

Everything is delicious as usual. But there was a problem in the ordering and service system; the order screens did not work. We had to wait 35 minutes. But the staff are great, they are a good team and did everything perfectly. There were a lot of visitors, everyone was not hungry!

Unfortunately today was really disappointing. It was super crowded and we had to wait 35 minutes for our food, which was cold and soggy. The employees simply couldn't keep up. During this time, 4 Uber Eats drivers came and were then sandwiched between the actual orders. The employees gave their all and were even friendly when you asked after 25 minutes how long it would take. But it still doesn't work that way. If I hadn't already paid via the app, I would have left straight away. The floor was pretty disgusting in the restaurant and the stairs at the top were greasy and slippery.

Let's face it, it's an addictive fast food chain. I like to come when my cravings need to be satisfied. 😍

It was adventurous for us, the ordering machines didn't really work, the employees at the counter were overwhelmed, the lights on the upper floor suddenly went out (because it was closing time upstairs, so the toilets were also dark). Food was warm and the waiting time was okay.

Ordered from MC Drive for the whole family. When we got home we noticed that the children's toy drinks and the dressing for the salad were missing. Logically, the salad was not eaten by the children. The large fries were filled so little that the bottom was barely covered. The citizens clapped together carelessly. I'll never go to these McDonald's again. 50€ for the ass.......

Our order was complete (we don't experience that often), we were on the upper floor, cool branch. Several terminals were out of service, luckily they were there before rush hour. We would come again.

It's okay for a little hunger in between, the price is high, but it's something different than sandwiches from the bakery, which are no longer cheap either.

Yesterday the impudence was met in person, we ordered via Mc Drive and when ordering I asked whether a menu would make more sense. The answer from the gentleman: Now it's your fault that I have to delete everything, that's your fault. He became really abusive. Afterwards only half of it was put in our bag, we forewent the food during the service and paid the tuition fee. Never again Well, first of all, I ask myself since when did people simply use their first names and the Lord's way of speaking left me speechless. Congratulations if this is the new standard at McDonalds.

I will never get something to eat/drink from McDonald's again. Firstly, the prices have become ridiculous and secondly, this is the second time I've spilled half the Coke in the car and on my clothes because those stupid cardboard lids don't stay on the cup. The main thing is that there is no more plastic in Germany. I can now clean my car for another hour and never get out of the seats again.
