McDonald's Restaurant in Bochum

We wanted to have a quick bite to eat here on the way back from vacation. That was the biggest mistake. We waited about 50 minutes for the food we ordered at the terminal and half of the order arrived. After another 20 minutes the second part of the order arrived. But the burgers were missing, which we then brought in ourselves. One of two wraps wasn't what was ordered. When I made the complaint, the employee unpacked the wrap, rummaged around in it with his fingers, then wrapped it up again and gave it back to my daughter. She was so stunned that she couldn't make a sound. Finally, I ordered a coffee, for which we waited another 30 minutes. I've never experienced such a bad McDonald's. Unfortunately I had to give one star because no star isn't possible.

To be honest, I've never had such a bad meal at McDonald's. The fries came cold from the kitchen and the burger had too much sauce, salad and was somehow cold. What the hell happened to the Mc Sundae the ice cream melted in 2 minutes. A rat walked by outside this store. Never again. I don't recommend anyone to eat here. Mix up drinks and the food is a waste for no reason.

I mostly feel sorry for the employees because the store is always full and it can be stressful. But unfortunately that doesn't mean that as a customer you can forego the service at the same price. Every burger has little sauce. I just ate a Big Tasty and there was hardly any sauce on it. The cheeseburgers also had almost no ketchup. The medium fries were tiny. So actually everything was SHIT, but the price stayed the same and can keep going up. Please check who is so stingy, because many people in the kitchen do it right, but not everyone. I'm there more often and often turn a blind eye when something goes wrong, but slowly it's enough EDIT: I'm just seeing a lot of negative reviews piling up in a short space of time. I hope something is done about it. A lot of people complain and then go back anyway, but we're taking a break for now. It's really a lot of money that we "consumers" leave behind.

Friendly staff, food relatively freshly prepared, but not the best restaurant in the chain.

Never as bad as it is now. Fries raw, burger tastes like nothing - when did the branch become so unbelievably bad? No recommendation! Be sure to drive just a little further on the A40 to Burger King!

As has often been the case recently, fries were only half full! It's great when you're driving through the drive and don't notice it until later. This is a rip off!!!

I'm always amazed at how McDonald's concept holds up, something is always missing from orders, apparently the people behind the counter can't even read anymore. The McChicken Chassic is now so small, a few more years and it will be as big as the Nuggets, absolutely disappointing shop.

Just McDonald. Mc Drive due to lock down. Took a while because the car queue is longer than normal. Otherwise everything is OK. Food was actually really warm.

I was in this branch yesterday and was really disappointed. The smell in the restaurant has been unbearable for months - it smells of old grease and poor hygiene. It is very unpleasant and spoiled the whole visit. After the visit I also had gastrointestinal problems. I have been a loyal McDonald's customer since childhood, but I will definitely avoid this branch now. What a shame! I hope McDonald's does something urgently about this.

Unfortunately, I am not served at Mc Café because supposedly there are only 2 employees available. I am offered coffee from a normal cardboard cup, but I would like to decide for myself whether I want to consume my hot drink like that or from a real cup. This non-existent service is incomprehensible!!!???

My food was over 30 minutes late. Just to remind you, this is a fast food restaurant.

I'm disappointed with the treatment I received from the staff. They handed me cold food, and after two rude requests, they simply gave me my money back and didn't help me, a hungry customer. I've never felt so badly looked after! Customer reviews on this day are beyond embarrassing! That's not what you do! And I've been a customer for over 20 years!

I can say with absolute certainty that this branch is one of the worst in all of Germany. The staff is slow, unfriendly, disorganized and completely overwhelmed. Dear customers, if you're hungry for Macces you can go to any other branch nearby, just not to the place on Stormstrasse.

I ordered today from the MC Drive for the whole family because the bags were mixed and everything was in one big bag, it was difficult to check where I got home. We were missing burgers from the MC menu 3 times and the nuggets were without sauces. This is the 3rd time this has happened to us, never again!!!!!

Why has it become so expensive? 13 euros for 10 cm mcchicken menu x)

We were here today on the way back from Bochum and just wanted to have a little something to eat. As soon as we arrived, we noticed that the store was full but not overly busy. We had to wait over an hour for our order (3 menus with burgers and fries). Questions at the counter were dismissed with disrespect. "Sometimes you have to wait for the bus. It doesn't always come either." Great statement for a system catering company that obviously has no system or understanding. I've never experienced anything like this at the fast food giant. The fries were warm, the burgers were cold. Thank you very much. I'm not coming back. PS: The patty was missing from the Royal TS. At least this was replaced without any problems.

I waited a long time for my order

The display for serving food has been broken for weeks. Coupons and offers are incomplete on the order machine. 27 minutes waiting time, the opposite of fast food.

I waited over 20 minutes for 1 fish burger, 3 cheeseburgers and 2 hamburgers. When I got home I unpacked the fish burger and thought to myself WTF are they already saving on the cheese on the fish and sauce. It's just overpriced and the food doesn't even taste good anymore.

Very nice service. They work quickly and efficiently. The food was very good I recommend.

Was there yesterday 2/10/25 Ordered the really great “M” and 2 cheeseburgers for a colleague and 2 coffees... The burgers were cold and old luckily the coffee was hot It showed once again that MC is something to break the habit of, I'm up to the top with this cold old stuff that was probably lying there for an hour... see you again in 5-10 years... You wait far too long for your food and that's a no go for a fast restaurant

A very good McDonald's compared to the one in Ruhr Park or the old ones in Bochum Hbf.

Everything is delicious as usual. But there was a problem in the ordering and service system; the order screens did not work. We had to wait 35 minutes. But the staff are great, they are a good team and did everything perfectly. There were a lot of visitors, everyone was not hungry!

Unfortunately today was really disappointing. It was super crowded and we had to wait 35 minutes for our food, which was cold and soggy. The employees simply couldn't keep up. During this time, 4 Uber Eats drivers came and were then sandwiched between the actual orders. The employees gave their all and were even friendly when you asked after 25 minutes how long it would take. But it still doesn't work that way. If I hadn't already paid via the app, I would have left straight away. The floor was pretty disgusting in the restaurant and the stairs at the top were greasy and slippery.

Let's face it, it's an addictive fast food chain. I like to come when my cravings need to be satisfied. 😍

Waited 40 minutes for the food. Not normal

The worst visit to McDonald's in a long time: the whole restaurant seems somehow dirty, the children's chair was very dirty, there is no changing table. Except for one burger, the entire meal was lukewarm to cold. We won't be coming here again.

Had to wait very long. They don't work efficiently here. Several orders were incorrect and the wrong food arrived. When I spoke to an employee about it, he seemed very frustrated. Not customer friendly, not good food, and long wait.

Unpleasant crowds, what people. Order delivered incorrectly, grumpy employee throws the incorrectly delivered burger into a corner and gives a new one, all's well that ends well. Oh yes, no doors on the toilet

It was adventurous for us, the ordering machines didn't really work, the employees at the counter were overwhelmed, the lights on the upper floor suddenly went out (because it was closing time upstairs, so the toilets were also dark). Food was warm and the waiting time was okay.

Ordered from MC Drive for the whole family. When we got home we noticed that the children's toy drinks and the dressing for the salad were missing. Logically, the salad was not eaten by the children. The large fries were filled so little that the bottom was barely covered. The citizens clapped together carelessly. I'll never go to these McDonald's again. 50€ for the ass.......

It's okay for a little hunger in between, the price is high, but it's something different than sandwiches from the bakery, which are no longer cheap either.

Our order was complete (we don't experience that often), we were on the upper floor, cool branch. Several terminals were out of service, luckily they were there before rush hour. We would come again.

Not such a good McDonald's. Food lukewarm, restaurant very dirty. Tables were not cleaned even though there was little going on and the staff was busy.

Extremely unfriendly employee at McDrive, takes orders in annoyance, refuses to pack 3 different orders separately because he is there “all alone”. No hello, no thank you, no please. I come here often and every time this person serves me like this.

Yesterday the impudence was met in person, we ordered via Mc Drive and when ordering I asked whether a menu would make more sense. The answer from the gentleman: Now it's your fault that I have to delete everything, that's your fault. He became really abusive. Afterwards only half of it was put in our bag, we forewent the food during the service and paid the tuition fee. Never again Well, first of all, I ask myself since when did people simply use their first names and the Lord's way of speaking left me speechless. Congratulations if this is the new standard at McDonalds.

I will never get something to eat/drink from McDonald's again. Firstly, the prices have become ridiculous and secondly, this is the second time I've spilled half the Coke in the car and on my clothes because those stupid cardboard lids don't stay on the cup. The main thing is that there is no more plastic in Germany. I can now clean my car for another hour and never get out of the seats again.

There was a very strong stench in the toilet! it's simply terrible, it seems that it has not been washed for several months, unfortunately it was very unacceptable. Also, we celebrated the birthday of a child for 7 people, and we went to write down whether there was any present for the birthday - for which they didn't even offer a ball, that's why such low scores. I was in this branch today, November 30th, 2024, and waited almost an hour for my food. When I asked the staff about it after half an hour, I was thought stupid and waved away until my receipt had to be taken and I still waited another 20 minutes I waited for my order only to hear a stupid comment from the employee (some of the order was also wrong) For me it was the last time there.

A McDonald's as we know it. Unfortunately, the upper seating area was closed, so it was quite lumpy downstairs. The cleanliness of the toilets definitely needs to be improved, an ordering terminal was broken and it took a relatively long time to get your "fast food". The food was just as we know it and what we are used to.

Typical McDonald's Not spotlessly clean but not dirty either. Staff also 50/50 sometimes very friendly sometimes less so.

Whenever you order, things like burgers or fries are missing or the things you ordered are wrong.

Preferably zero. It's impossible that the disabled toilet is on the first floor...in a building that doesn't have an elevator. People with walking difficulties are expected to struggle up the stairs to the first floor. What do paralyzed wheelchair users do????

Very unfriendly staff. Food is simply thrown on the table. Coffee and cocoa are only half full and are charged in full. If you complain, you'll be insulted, and you'll get coffee and cocoa in a paper cup instead of a proper cup, as it should be when you go to the MC Café

Most incompetent McDonald's I've ever been to. You wait more than 10 minutes at the checkout and they don't even pay any attention to at least telling you that it could wait. The orders arrived totally mixed up and wrong, and mostly cold. It would have been a real shock if I hadn't already paid and if I had been hungry I would have just left because that spoiled my appetite. I would give STARS 0 if possible

Very adventurous… On the first visit, the ice cream machine was supposedly broken 2 hours before closing time, but upon closer inspection: both shake and ice cream were “DONE!” on the machine. You've just cleaned it and you don't feel like it... On the second visit (07.10.24) 1 hour before closing time, half the shop was already under water, puddles at the terminals and and and... No slip hazard signs posted, even though it was very slippery. You were assigned to seats in the middle of the “flood” while employees dumped more buckets and crawled on the floor cleaning…. About the food itself: I don't know how old the nuggets were or what garbage they came from, but they were NOT FRESH!! (see photo) The third and last visit on my part eclipsed everything before it... Also just under an hour and a half before closing time there was a sign on the door “Due to technical defect only sales on the drive”… inside there were functioning terminals and once again puddles of water as far as the eye could see, of course it was cleaned again in order to call it a day beforehand… There is another sign on the drive: “Closed at 1:30 due to disruption”… An employee speaks up in an unfriendly tone… There would only be chicken burgers and everything else including drinks, fries and the like. would be sold out… a little unbelievable?! So this McDonald's branch will definitely be avoided in the future, there are better ones on Dorstener Str. in Hofstede or Am Westenfeld in Herne... Never experienced anything like there...

Very hot on upper floors, no air conditioning, otherwise weak offers at the moment, and the products are more expensive and smaller.

Awkward! My daughter's milkshake straw (which is always made of paper) broke off. I asked for a new straw. The gentleman in the white shirt didn't give me a new one! That's what I call service!!! I've never experienced anything more embarrassing! McDonald’s earns billions a year, but you don’t get an extra straw if you order four meals for €45! Abnormal!

We were here on October 24th. The store was clean, as were the toilets. The service was friendly and the food was delivered quickly. Overall, one of the better McDonalds branches we have recently visited. Keep it up!

I was at the McDonald's at Stormstrasse 6-8 in Bochum today at 5:30 p.m. and can only report positive things! After a stressful day in traffic, I was really exhausted, but the friendly staff immediately put a smile on my face. The atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant and inviting. The food was simply delicious - the burgers were fresh and juicy, and the fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned. Just what I needed after a long car ride! I would particularly like to highlight the quick service and helpfulness of the staff, who made me feel at home straight away. All in all, my visit there was a great experience. I can only recommend this McDonald's if you want to make a quick stop and get some refreshment. Many thanks to the team for the great service and delicious food!

Very long waiting times and unfriendly employees. Food was lukewarm. At the next table, someone was talked stupidly at by the staff because he ordered a small order of table service. The employee became very rude.

I've gotten breakfast so many times and often didn't get the right one. The system doesn't work properly when it comes to personalizing the products and then you get the things without cheese on the wrap, scrambled eggs and bacon. I don't understand how you can forget something like that. I'm really angry now about how often things are processed incorrectly there.

Will the toilet be locked in the evening? Where is something like that? After a long drive home we wanted to stop there, eat and go to the toilet but that wasn't possible. No idea what that's supposed to be about

Long waiting time at the drive-in. It doesn't have to be that way. There was only one car in front of us and we stood there for 10 minutes.

Totally incompetent staff, although it was well attended, you have to wait almost 40 minutes for your food in a "fast food restaurant" (normal menu) is not possible, when you ask you are then told that you can see how many orders have to be completed are. Unbelievable.

Stopped briefly on the way back. Toilets are upstairs, parking spaces are very narrow and small and it's pretty tight around it. Ambience is not very good. There are machines for ordering. Overall ok, but still pretty good for a McDonalds on the highway.

McDonald's typical atmosphere. The food is comparatively better and fresher than in other branches and the employees are very friendly.

Unfortunately the service was more than unsatisfactory. Although it wasn't full, it wasn't possible to order your food at the checkout. When you asked, you were told to order and pay at the ordering machine and the order wasn't taken. There was also a dead rat in the parking lot, which topped it all off.

I've never stood in an MC Drive for as long as I did just now. I don't know if they catch the chicks from my nuggets there or if they're just slow, but soon they'll be able to rent out trailers here.
