McDonald's in Lüdenscheid

McDonald's like any other, but the toilets are packed to the rafters. A disaster.

The dirtiest McDonald's I've ever eaten at. Toilets broken, sticky floor, dirty tables, burgers cold, fries undercooked. Manager just chatting away, no table service even though I selected it through the McDonald's app. Never again...

This was our second visit to this McDonald's, and both times we were very pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff. The friendly, somewhat older gentleman, who I believe is the shift manager, was particularly impressive. He was always exceptionally kind to us, especially to the children. We haven't experienced this level of service at other branches, where the motto seems to be more "get through to the next customer quickly." But because of an employee like him, we know which McDonald's we'll be stopping at when passing through in the future. Big thumbs up and much praise!

There's definitely room for improvement, especially in terms of ambiance. But ultimately, people want to enjoy fast food, and ambiance doesn't seem to be a major factor.

Unfortunately, an incredibly poor organization.

A solid place to eat, with a 24/7 gas station and car wash next door. Parking is available. The interior is modern, with screens for ordering. The food arrived quickly. They also bring the food to your table. One small drawback: I ordered three Hamburger Royal Cheese: one regular, one with an extra patty, and the last one with two extra patties. Unfortunately, the patties were split between all three, so I ended up with three burgers, each with two patties.

The restaurant was absolutely filthy; we waited an hour for one burger and three nuggets. Our order was only prepared after a major complaint. Definitely not recommended.

Everything was perfect. Burger King is always a good choice. It was especially freshly prepared here. Thumbs up!

Waited forever the order was wrong food was cold

Waiting time for a cheeseburger and a hamburger: 25 minutes. Even half that time would have been far too long. For a McDonald's in Lüdenscheid, located on a construction-related detour with significantly increased traffic and therefore more customers, four employees for the entire restaurant were clearly insufficient.

I bought this and ate it about 5 minutes later. Everything was cold. The fries were inedible, they were so cold, and the burgers were cold too. If it had been freshly prepared, the food wouldn't have been so cold. I find that outrageous at these prices nowadays, especially since there were maybe 8 people in the restaurant and no one at the register except me. Why can't they prepare the food so that it's at least still warm after 5 minutes? It doesn't have to be hot. I find it outrageous, and it's not the first time.

The food was cold and extremely greasy! Service was terrible! Ordered 100%, got 75%, and when we asked, we had to prove that we didn't get everything! I can't recommend this place. The staff, except for one, are incompetent and rude. The food took a very long time and was then cold. The burgers were dripping with grease, never experienced anything like it.

We got breakfast today, and of the four things we bought, only the pancakes were right. They gave us the fake burger, mislabeled the wraps, and removed the wrong ingredients. I won't be buying breakfast from them again.

They didn't provide a straw. I received the wrong change when paying, and I had to wait longer for my order.

They don't wash their hands, they don't wear gloves, they don't wear a cap.

We were there on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't very busy. All the tables were dirty, and one area smelled very unpleasant. It looked like it had been cleaned with an old, smelly rag. One burger and one squeezable bagel were missing from the meal. One drink was water instead of Sprite. The restrooms were also very unsanitary. This was probably our last visit here.

I was put off for 8 minutes at the McDrive until my order was taken, and then waited another 19 minutes for my burger to arrive. Once, and never again.

Very unfriendly staff and long wait times, even though it was barely busy. The tables were dirty and weren't cleaned despite notices. Very disappointing for a large chain like McDonald's.

The slowest service I've ever experienced. The man moved in slow motion and took about 90 seconds to use tongs to pick up two chocolate cookies from the shelf and place them in the bag. The matcha latte was also slow food. I waited a total of 9 minutes (!) for these three items, even though it was a Tuesday morning and hardly any people were busy.

The first thing I noticed was that most of the employees were just chatting to each other rather than working. Second, the kitchen floor was pretty dirty. Besides that, I got the wrong hamburger. I ordered the medium but got some kind of promo that didn't even taste good. My salad also came with the wrong dressing, and last but not least, my ice cream was more liquid than ice cream. In conclusion, the worst McColl's I've ever been to. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, the display at the top said my order was ready for pickup, and it actually took a while for me to actually get it.

4 stars because everything has been renovated and is modernly equipped. Unfortunately, service still needs improvement; waiting times are often unacceptable for a fast-food restaurant.

The worst McDonald's I've ever been to. I waited over 25 minutes for the food, even though it was barely busy. Parts of my order were still missing. No apology, unfriendly service, and completely chaotic. Very disappointing – definitely not again!

I waited 25 minutes, literally 25 minutes, for a €10 order. I could have spent 25 minutes cooking for myself.

Unfortunately, I often get chicken nuggets that are dry and not warm. The food simply doesn't taste good and isn't fresh.

Just like any other McDonald's. But of course, it's ridiculous when the Happy Meals don't include toys, even though the kids were so excited about them.

McDonald's... you can do that for a break

It's always terribly cold in this McDonald's in winter. Why?

Friendly staff who are happy to help with any problems. The food was typical of McDonald's. The coffee was very good. They even kindly brought our second order to our table. Very attentive 👍 The restrooms were clean. A small indoor play area and an outdoor slide. Plenty of parking. Also a McDonald's Drive-Thru.

We visited a great McDonald's on our way back from vacation. Very friendly staff, and the food was ready quickly.

Unfriendly staff, all overwhelmed, and customers were yelled at for ordering things that had just run out. A simple cheeseburger covered in ketchup.

There weren't really many people there during our visit. Ordering at the terminal was relatively quick. We had ordered coffee after a long day, one latte macchiato and one matcha latte. We waited on the terrace in the sunshine, wanting to enjoy a leisurely coffee and something to eat. It took a very long time. Many people who arrived after us had already received their food, but we somehow hadn't. After about half an hour, I went to check and saw someone fiddling with the coffee machine. I asked what was wrong with our order and was told that the machine wasn't working. It's not really a problem, but they could have brought us our food and let us know. The good man was on the terrace several times. We got our money back for the coffee. The burgers were soggy and cold. Not good service!!!!!! 😤

Delicious food, clean, everything was great.

At 8:50 a.m., the toilets were completely dirty and disgusting. The door handle hadn't seen a rag in a long time.

I wanted to place an order at the counter because I prefer that to the vending machines, and my son had some special requests. After waiting for 10 minutes, an older employee approached me with a friendly smile and asked if I had ordered yet. When I said no, he went to the cashier, ready to take my order, and then immediately turned around and told me to order at the vending machine, and if I didn't like that, I could leave a bad review. I then drove to the second McDonald's in Lüdenscheid and followed his advice. By the way, the second McDonald's wasn't even remotely comparable to this one; all the employees there were extremely friendly and accommodating.

The staff are rude and unfriendly. This store needs to be closed.

Despite the low traffic, the waiting time for food was 30 minutes and we actually had to ask for it. I do not recommend it.

The service is very bad and above all very unfriendly. After ordering we had to find a table that was somewhat clean. Then the food came and the hot pineapple turnover was missing. My husband told the server who came three minutes later and said we didn't have any more as I had already paid. He then had to take an apple turnover. I complained about my netted potatoes which were cold and soggy and he said it wasn't his fault. The McFlurry was missing a spoon. I will definitely not recommend this place.

The team was completely overwhelmed, with multiple orders coming in from different guests. It took a very long time for the orders to arrive at the table. Water was leaking from the lamp in the men's restroom; they didn't even turn off the power to prevent a short circuit.

The food was okay, as good or bad as any other McD's, but we waited 14 minutes for four burgers, without a menu, etc. (it wasn't particularly busy). I think the internal guidelines stipulate something different at this "fast food" company.

Sorry, but I can't and don't want to give this location any stars. The service is terrible; I ordered food and the burgers were cold. I got new ones and was almost yelled at by the attendant. Never again; everyone was advised not to go there. I'd rather go to Burger King; the employees there are much friendlier.

An absolute disaster -The employees were arguing loudly in the kitchen -They were texting and insulting each other -They were complaining and yelling so loudly that the cash registers weren't adding up -These discussions and shouting don't belong in public!

Uncoordinated store. Employees yell at each other. I waited 10 minutes for a Coke, which I got when I asked for one. They said they had enough work, after all, as an "apology." Never again!

No, I can't recommend this place. It's very dirty, the floor is sticky, the staff is incapable of maintaining order, trash is everywhere, and the tables and benches aren't wiped down. Long wait times. Avoid if possible.

Completely incompetent staff. They didn't point out that there were no toys in the Happy Meal, and orders were mixed up.

I had to wait 15 minutes for a Happy Meal with nuggets, even though the store looked empty. The employees were extremely unfriendly and incompetent, barely speaking a word of German.

This shop is the worst ever. The burgers, fries, and nuggets were served ice cold. The staff tried to hide to prevent the exchange of hot food and you get thrown out an hour before closing time. The branch was dirty. The tables weren't even cleaned, let alone the floor. I've eaten in much cleaner branches and had my order served hot.

Revisited after 6 years in June 2025: Aging but well-maintained

The store is clean and tidy. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is typical McDonald's and meets that standard—decent and tasty.

2nd time for breakfast, 2nd time impossible!!! Service disaster! It's not the employees' fault. But one in the kitchen and one in service. Waiting 20-30 minutes for fast food?! I think the boss didn't get it!!!

Absolute disaster - We waited 40 minutes for our FAST FOOD at breakfast time, even though there was absolutely nothing going on - despite asking in between. To Mc. D. Lüdenscheid: Guys, you run a FAST RESTAURANT - just think about it. In any case, next time we will have breakfast at a local bakery and not there anymore!

We were passing through and were making good time, so we wanted to make a quick stop at McDonalds on Saturday morning. Fast food became a true slow food experience. Preparing a portion of pancakes and a cappuccino took almost over 15 minutes. Definitely too long! There were only two tables occupied and we were two guests at the ordering or waiting counter. So really a manageable number of customers. I'm used to a different service from McDonald's in terms of speed.

I started writing this review after waiting 20 minutes for my food... And now finish it after eating. The lady in the front desk can get her shoes resoled while she works, even though the store is super full. At the back of the production chain, things run really smoothly and the burgers in the delivery pile up and get cold. So it was mine too. Unfortunately, fries have exactly the same problem. And the McDrive ran really smoothly during this time... The customers in the restaurant pile up and start to complain, but unfortunately nothing changes. Too bad. This is no longer FAST food and most people's lunch break is gone.

So I ordered 1 menu and it wasn't particularly busy. After waiting 20 minutes, I politely asked for my money back and was told that in restaurants you sometimes wait 30 minutes. It's a fast food shop... Still hungry and time wasted. This happened to me last year. It's nothing personal against the employees, but you could still work on prioritization and personnel planning.

Cold fries, the M Burger was OK, but it can't keep up with the Bic Mack. Ladies toilet dirty. Door handle broken.

I'm not a particular fan of McDonald's. But this place is clean and quite comfortable. And the employees are pretty on their toes. For a change, you can go once a month.

This McDonalds is not recommended. Received wrong order. Fries 🍟 still half raw soaked in fat. I don't even want to talk about the toilet 🚽.

The cheeseburgers are the best McDonald's cheeseburgers I've ever eaten. Staff is very nice. The ambience is simple and pleasant, seems very clean.

Wow .......that this still exists, the best MC Donald's where I have eaten it in my life, it was really really good, the fries are so hot, I have never eaten them so hot anywhere, really delicious, the burger 😉 delicious.....it's a shame why is it only available here in the branch, it was my first time here ............. It was quiet at the moment and the service was very good and friendly.

The only thing that makes me hungrier than McDonalds is when I see my brother's greasy hair. They already smell like a deep fryer. But in terms of character, he's a nice guy...say the neighbors. The food itself is prepared with more love than my mother's oven lasagne. I'd love to come back. Ps: please take the vegetarian and vegan items off the menu. Otherwise everything was great! Well, I've never waited that long for food at a McDonalds. There was almost nothing going on in the store and I waited over half an hour for a coffee and a McMuffin. So really crazy... .

Despite there being little activity, there was cold food! Seems a bit run down.

A BIG compliment to the branch manager on March 8th. was there around midday! This is a professional restaurateur. This person loves his work! He has a feeling and eye for his customers! But most importantly, this good man has a heart for children! All the best and all love to this person! I'm "almost" speechless.

I was told the heater was broken. When I read the reviews this seems to be a lie. With the outside temperature at 2° it was extremely cold in the restaurant and we had to warm up in the car. The toilets looked awful (see photos in other reviews)

Everything was super clean, tidy, new interior. But we froze our butts off, obviously the heating inside was broken, with the outside temperature being 0.5° 🥶

Centrally located McDonald's on a busy route. Therefore, there is a good throughput of the dishes typically offered by MCD, so nothing sits around for long, everything is served fresh and hot. The service is always friendly and quick, even when it is busy at peak times. Everything is neat and clean, despite the high frequency. An MCD that we like to drive to.

Went there today for the Valentine's Day special candlelight dinner. It was so lovingly prepared and the food was delicious. Absolute recommendation 🥰

We had a candle light dinner today and were really pleasantly surprised. The whole thing was made with so much love, the service was super friendly and the food was warm/freshly prepared. In addition, all proceeds from the event go to a good cause. Great idea, great implementation!

We booked the Valentine's Day menu. It was very lovingly made and tasted very, very good.

We were here on Valentine's Day and enjoyed the candle light dinner. Great recommendation. Experience the usual food and ambience in a different way. Service was great, every person was very nice. And all for a good cause! So great! Hopefully again next year.

They say all good things come in threes, so today the restaurant was given the third chance, ordered online, McRib menu with Coke and an additional McRib, pick-up code Ja73 was given at the car counter, and drove up and got Coke. McRib always has a bit of a wait, i.e. waiting on the strip as usual. A little later a nice employee comes out and gives me a bag. Well, arrived home and was happy, fries nice and big and hot, instead of the McRib a beacon with cheese, which I definitely won't eat and 6 pieces of chicken. Cola smells and tastes like chlorine, simply undrinkable. This was now guaranteed to be the very last time for me to order something here, chalk it up as an experience and prefer to take something to eat from the Rewe next door next time. Mind you, the staff is always nice and attentive, but they haven't been able to handle orders, whether inside or outside, for what feels like two years.

No, we wanted to have breakfast with croissants, Nutella, jam as shown on the menu + a medium cup of coffee, we got a small cup of coffee and only the croissant. We come from Schleswig Holstein and fortunately we will no longer be able to enjoy eating here. Unfortunately we cannot award stars

Totally normal macces. The only thing that worried me was that the gentleman at the counter who took the change touched the hand of the person who was portioning out the fries. So basically the change was bacteria on the fries... I'm relatively insensitive, but thought it was worth mentioning if someone is sensitive😅 Otherwise everyone did their job, it was just okay to good.

Were there with our little daughter and urgently needed a new diaper. Changing facility? None. It's a real shame... there's also no option for people in wheelchairs and it's pretty dirty. Unfortunately not again.

The place just sucks. Ordered for the company, looked on site and noticed that 3 burgers were missing and that the burger wasn't exactly cheap. Now in the company you notice that a burger is still missing. So they would have screwed you over 4 burgers. And this isn't a run-of-the-mill burger... you just put an order in front of you and that's the problem.

I don't like ordering from the vending machines.
