McDonald's in Ratingen

Extremely unfriendly employees. They close at 8 a.m., open the door 20 cm, and then let the heavy door slam shut again, even though customers were standing right in front of it. That's the exact opposite of being welcome. Wow.

Stopped here today. You walk in and the first thing you notice is that most of the order boards are broken. When the next one became available, you placed your order and walked out. There was trash and tablets everywhere, the tables weren't wiped down, and the choice of table service wasn't good either. It took almost 30 minutes for our order to arrive, even though it wasn't busy. The food was okay, except for the apple turnover, which was cold. It was the first and last time we stopped here!

Firstly making us wait atleast 40 mins for our food to arrive, while its extremely busy but taking theyre time talking with eachother and smoking outside while dening its busy. When the food arrived it was already all cold and disgusting because of it. Also really disgusting restaurant and kitchen place. Wouldnt recommend my worst enemy to eat here.

Absolutely not... I have never experienced such poor organization at McDonald's... waiting times of up to 50 minutes for an order... after waiting 30 minutes for an ice cream I left... Never again!!!!!

Small McDonald's, friendly service, and food like any other McDonald's. An hour of parking is really awful. I don't like McDonald's and just enjoy a leisurely coffee. With ordering, etc., an hour is really tight. What also bothered us was that it was incredibly cold inside.

It's by far the shabbiest MCD I've ever been to. Not only is it showing its age, but everything seems a bit dingy and not particularly clean. The noise level was quite loud. I decided to eat in my car. The parking lot offers plenty of room to write something positive.

Used to be a good McDonald's... but now it's just below average! Today I got three McFlurrys that were more like milkshakes. The service is often unfriendly, they often forget something, and it's not clean (anymore) either!

You can't really go wrong with the food at McDonald's. It usually depends on the employees. Today, the gentleman behind the counter simply wouldn't give me a straw. He simply refused. Give a person a uniform, and they'll think they rule the world. Only here, it's a McDonald's uniform.

I was at the drive-thru for the first time in ages. A burger to go. That was the plan. The burger arrived completely shredded in the packaging. The patty was split in half, and lettuce and bacon were lying next to the burger. The place has become a real mess. The thing went straight into the trash. That's unacceptable. Sorry.

Neat and tidy from the outside. The inside of the place is a dump! The trash, or rather, the trays, are piled high on the shelves intended for them. There's no room to put them down. Everything is so full that the full trays have already been stacked on tables! Trash and empty packaging are trampled onto the floor! Tables aren't cleaned, and food scraps stick to the tables and floors! It's a real bummer! I wouldn't recommend it! Even one star is too much! The wait for the menu was 20 minutes. To top it off... There was a dead fly floating in the vanilla shake that was finally brought. 🤢

An adventure in McSmerig. If you're looking for a "unique" fast food experience, this is the place for you! The tables were so sticky I was afraid I'd rip my arms off. The floor felt like an unexpected dance floor—one you'd rather not dance on. The food was a work of minimalist art: a cold burger and a handful of sad, limp fries. I think even the Ronald McDonald clown wouldn't go here. Not recommended.

We ordered vegetarian nuggets and got regular chicken nuggets... As a vegetarian, it was a nasty surprise at the first bite...

I can't judge since I was a regular and have a heart condition. Therefore, it's not advisable for me to eat here, even though I was a McDonald's fan.

You cannot get a straw with your drink because “no” - this is ridiculous. The staff is not very friendly.

Child-friendly, good food, and excellent, fast service. However, getting a straw with my milkshake was a nightmare. I was ignored for ages at the counter. When I finally asked someone for their attention, I was given a resounding "no," because the man said it was only for regular drinks. Oh, how awful to have to give a flimsy recycled cardboard straw to someone who walked from their table to the counter, patiently waited a long time, and politely asked for one. Let me pay extra for it instead of saying no. And the best part was, we continued our long trip. We ordered two cold iced teas, but of course, we didn't get a straw again, and when I asked, it was only for milkshakes.

Unfortunately, it's not always clean. The tables were otherwise cleaned regularly. (February 2025) Disappointed again 😞 The tables aren't clean, the tray carts are overflowing... No staff to keep the restaurant clean?

My daughter and I ordered a Big Mac meal. It was overpriced, but it's McDonald's, after all. I have to say, I haven't been to McDonald's in a long time. When I opened the Big Mac, I was shocked. It was as small as regular cheeseburgers or hamburgers. What's going on? Three times as expensive and half the size. Now I'll definitely try to avoid McDonald's. It's a rip-off.

The food was okay, as you'd expect from McDonald's. Unfortunately, employees at the Drive-In often forget to pack items. Just today, large fries were missing twice. Of course, this is a way to make money. Next time, I'll check the order carefully to make sure everything I ordered is included.

I ordered the new Grimage Shake, but unfortunately half the cup was full of ice cubes...so you only get half a cup full of shake...is that how it's supposed to be?

I often come here to charge my electric car. There are now four charging stations. When I go in to get something, it's always been great.

There are burgers and fries of the usual quality.

I actually really like it here. The atmosphere is relaxed, you can eat in peace, and the outdoor area with the lovely slide is perfect for children. The staff are always friendly too, and you can tell right away. Unfortunately, things didn't go quite as planned on my last visit: I was there with my two children, ordered at the cashier, and was given a table number with the information that the food would be brought to the table. So I waited... and waited, and waited. At some point, I went inside myself, and there my food had been waiting in a bag for quite some time. No notice, no information. This is especially inconvenient with two children playing outside. The food was a bit cold, but it was still tasty. I still enjoy coming here, but a little more attentive service would be appreciated.

Just a McDonald's like any other. It was clean and there was hardly any wait time.

Well, not the way I know McDonald's.

I've rarely had such a disappointing experience at a McDonald's. The hygiene at this branch is simply catastrophic. Tables were dirty, trays sticky, and the floor was sticky with every step. The restrooms? A disgrace – unpleasant smell, paper everywhere, and apparently not cleaned in hours. The staff were also extremely unfriendly. No "hello," no smile, no help with questions. You almost felt like you were disturbing your order. A polite inquiry was met with annoyance, as if you were being a nuisance. Honestly: If you're already disgusted here before you've even eaten, something is definitely wrong. I will avoid this branch in the future – and can only advise everyone to do the same.

Truly deserves the name "fast food restaurant": Even though it was busy, the food came quickly and without mistakes.

This McDonald's branch impresses me every time. They're especially generous with the caramel ice cream here—it's worth every visit. Although there's a branch near where I live in Velbert, I deliberately come here because the service is much friendlier and the atmosphere more pleasant.

Oh man, what was going on today? The line at the McDrive stretched all the way to the street. After 15 minutes, it was our turn and we got our order. On the way out, my wife noticed that a menu was missing. So we thought we'd quickly go back in and complain, but the place was locked...so we had no choice but to get in the car line again. Another 10 minutes later, we were able to explain our problem, and after another 5 minutes, a grumpy employee brought us a burger to the waiting bay by the car. He mumbled something about technical problems and left again. So we spent a total of over 45 minutes at the McDrive, brought home 2 cold meals and 1 warm burger, and everyone was annoyed and disappointed. That was a visit to break! Next time, we'll have to think twice about stopping by McDonald's for a quick bite 😟 Update That hasn't happened again; we were able to pick up our food quickly the other day, and it was still warm when we got home.

A well-maintained McDonald's. Breakfast was okay—nothing exciting, but a solid offering.

I ordered a Big Tasty Bacon today, but unfortunately, the burger was disappointing in terms of taste. I immediately noticed that something was missing – especially the typical smoky, spicy flavor of the Big Tasty sauce. The sauce on my burger was very light, almost white, and tasted more like salad mayo. I then asked the staff if it was really the Big Tasty sauce. The employee simply replied, "It's always looked like that," which, to be honest, surprised me a bit. As far as I know, the original Big Tasty sauce is much darker and more flavorful. If the wrong sauce was accidentally used here, that's a shame – because the sauce is what makes the Big Tasty special.

Visited 3 times, 2 times the order was wrong. Even though there isn't much going on, you wait forever. Another customer also complained about his order, which was incorrect. Employees seem to be overwhelmed. I won't be visiting McDonalds again and would advise everyone against it.

Food was cold, we ordered a double chicken burger and got a normal, when we asked for the right one they just slapped on an extra piece of chicken and sent it right back, no sauce or lettuce left whatsoever, no communication and we were simply denied straws when we asked for some

Service quick and good. Staff friendly. Food good and served hot. But: We go there often and unfortunately it is always dirty. Tables are almost never wiped down and there is trash everywhere on the floor. Is it really that difficult? In other branches, the table is wiped down with a damp cloth after practically every guest.

I'm just not having any luck with this McDonald's. Last time I visited, my McCrispy performed for the Olympics with how many times it flew around the kitchen and now I ordered McCrispy with 2 slices of bacon because I just love it and I got BigTastyBacon but without the extra bacon 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ I didn't feel like going back. I looked in the bag and everything I ordered was in there, but I didn't check whether it was the right one, there was just one in there. It's a shame that I generally don't eat beef at McQueen and don't like onions, which is all very sufficient in the TastyBacon 🥺😢

Once again, several burgers are missing from the bag. The staff's shoes can be shod while they work. The shift manager is rude and completely unmotivated and unfriendly. Complaints are commented on with the words: “I’m not making a fool of myself.” It's a shame, it used to be a great McDonald's branch. Unfortunately no longer recommended. But good staff is just difficult to find.

Is a very well maintained McDonald's But I also connect my childhood with the store. And half of my family used to work here. As in all branches, it depends entirely on the personal manager how things work in the store. Rarely very dirty and toilets usually clean.

It's just a Mcces. Food is always good for anyone who likes Mcces like me. Service is bad. Terminal doesn't print receipt - you ask if the receipt can be printed out again for us - "not possible". Goes. She just didn't want to. Something was missing when ordering. All in all, not such a positive interaction.

Unfortunately, McDonald's isn't entirely convincing. The tables and seating are almost always dirty, which really spoils the overall impression. However, the staff is quite friendly and helpful when you point out any problems, which is a small plus. Overall, it's okay, but the condition of the restaurant has unfortunately let it down.

One of the fastest service i ever experienced at Macdonalds

Unfriendly staff, the cashier with a beard addresses customers with “you” unmotivated / unprofessional. A little out of the way but very clean and plenty of parking space. The interior is not particularly inviting and is also quite small. The floor is sticky and it is particularly dusty in the corners. Surfaces also need to be cleaned thoroughly. The toilet is always unclean, whether early in the morning or around midday 😖😵‍💫. The staff is friendly and helpful. The outdoor area is also well maintained and the games area is often closed, which I think is a shame. Otherwise small but enough to eat for a short time 🤤🤪

Just been there again and got the wrong cold order. Completely annoying. Unfortunately, I've experienced this very often. Unfortunately I only noticed it when I got home and threw the food away straight away. 10 euros for the cat. I'll never go there again and I'll get the wrong order again. The food arrived super quickly, unfortunately the burger was a bit disappointing as it was cold and the cheese hadn't melted, which affected the taste a bit. What should be highlighted positively is the cleanliness of the toilets - really well maintained! Overall a good visit, with some minor weaknesses in the food.

This McDonalds is a disgrace. Closes at 0:00 but we were literally thrown out at 11:45. Half portions of fries, no napkins received, sauce from the cheeseburgers was mainly next to the buns and if you ask for an extra straw you just get a no. A great shame, this branch…

Preparing breakfast took quite a long time!

If I'm there for 20 minutes and employees and customers have to endure the loud beeping from the preparation or wherever for 20 minutes straight, I think that's an unreasonable burden for everyone. Just a quick reminder, okay. But without interruption and continuously? What's wrong?

The restaurant is next to the hotel and the highway, so it is convenient to get to, there is an updated menu and a small queue, it is open until late on Sundays 😎

Fast food is becoming more and more luxury... I think more than €5 for a cheeseburger and a normal cappuccino is quite a lot... even if it tastes good.
