It's generally good, but things are often forgotten and it's often overrun in the evenings. Update: The heating has broken down; it's very cold, impossible in winter.

I'd rather not give any stars at all; it was so freezing cold you could even see your breath. It was like eating outside in the snow.

The only thing missing is snow; it's freezing cold inside.

Unfortunately, the restaurant has no heating, and the temperature inside is colder than outside. There's also no hot water for washing hands. I've never experienced such problems at any of the Burger King restaurants I've visited. Luckily, my children weren't with me, otherwise they would have been freezing. I was forced to drink my coffee in the car since it was impossible to sit inside.

It's freezing cold in the restaurant; you can see your breath. Eating there is a recipe for a bladder infection. Consequently, the food is cold within two minutes. When we asked about it, they said the heating should be on. That was it. The Fuze tea tasted like soap. An employee had to taste it before they believed us. Then came the excuse that they were out of syrup. The entire floor was incredibly sticky. And even though they were out of syrup, we waited almost 20 minutes for our three meals.

There were only four employees there and no customers. Only one of them was actually working, and even then, only occasionally. I waited 30 minutes or more for a milkshake and a burger with fries. It's the same thing every time.

An absolute disaster. I waited an hour and a half for two burgers and fries—and then the food arrived ice cold. Not lukewarm, not just chilled, but completely cold, as if it had been sitting out for an hour. It's inedible. To then charge over €30 for that is simply outrageous. If it takes that long, the food should at least be warm. Nothing about this place was right: poor organization, extremely slow delivery, and ultimately, zero quality. Honestly: If you love cold burgers and enjoy spending a lot of money on frustration, this is the place for you. I, for one, will never go back.

I would give zero stars if I could. Three women's restrooms were filthy, disgusting, and simply revolting.

It's outrageous not to heat the place in January. We could have eaten on the terrace.

It's colder inside than outside... Food gets cold quickly as a result. It's no fun. I wanted to eat, not go to an ice rink.

The Burger King is very clean and nice. The staff are very friendly and child-friendly. There's even a playroom and a playground outside 😊 I highly recommend it. The food is delicious!

I would give zero stars if I could. The restaurant was freezing cold, apparently without a working heater, and it was -3 degrees Celsius outside. The burgers we ordered arrived completely cold; only the fries were barely warm. At these prices, it's unacceptable. On top of that, the place looks chaotic and neglected. Overall, a thoroughly disappointing experience – absolutely not recommended.

Disinterested staff, no atmosphere at all. Long waits even though it wasn't busy. The food was lukewarm (as if it had been waiting too long). What could possibly go wrong with chili cheese nuggets, lukewarm fries, and a soggy burger? It's a shame that the quality varies so much between locations. It was so cold inside that you'd have to leave again even with your coat on.

The service at the drive-thru was friendly, but the food was awful. A dump that doesn't even answer the phone and then thinks they're good + cold food delivered when you order at 11:50 and it's 13:30 and the food still hasn't arrived. What a dump!

This restaurant definitely has the best fries, and their Whoppers are the best. I love eating here.

It feels like we've had the same "King of the Month" for three months now! Very creative! It's always the same boring garbage. Head office should hire some innovative people instead of always copying McDonald's! The fries are always cold and taste disgusting; they probably use the same old fryer oil for everything! The place is filthy, the trash cans are overflowing, and tables aren't cleared for hours. The owner doesn't care about any of it. The staff changes almost daily and has to be retrained constantly, so there are three people at the register for one employee who isn't coming back the next day anyway. Utter chaos!

About the competition... you can't say it's fast food.

Delicious and, above all, large burgers. In my opinion, better than the competitor's. Only one drawback: the buns weren't pre-warmed and the portion of fries was a bit small.

For over a year, I've been coming here and ordering the kids' menu. Each time, I'm told they're out of toys. If this only happened once or a few times by chance, I could understand—but I'm sure they're intentionally stealing the children's toys. Unfortunately, the store manager does it himself, so I don't know where to complain. It's the children's right to have the toys if they see the advertisements and come here to eat. Stealing from children is one of the dirtiest things there is. I'm sure they're also stealing food and giving people downright garbage to eat. I will never come here again.

I don't even know where to begin, everything at Burger King in Ratingen is absolutely wrong. Delivery takes forever, even if you live right next door. When the food finally arrives, it's cold, of course. The service? Unfortunately, it's completely unfriendly and overwhelmed; as a customer, you feel more like a nuisance than welcome.

The atmosphere is like any Burger King. We were there around 11 p.m. on a weekday. The food took a while to arrive, even though the place was empty... but everything was freshly prepared. A compliment.

Typical Schloss Burger GmbH. Restrooms are a disaster. Toilets are crappy, floor is sticky as hell. Does anyone clean here regularly? Burgers are okay to terrible. The building is like any other Burger King. We had to come here after the airport. But I've always tried to stay away from the BKs from this company.

I didn't receive my entire order – when I got home, I realized the 6-pack nuggets were missing. So I had to drive back. The employee who took my order was incredibly rude. Instead of admitting his mistake or apologizing, he simply said, "I never apologize." That was our last time at Burger King!

Minus 10 stars ⭐️ I was about to order at the drive-thru and was told I either had to wait half an hour or skip the drive-thru. Apparently, the Burger King itself was too crowded. So, I went inside, and there were eight other orders listed ahead of me. It's outrageous.

Everything is top-notch! The food is truly delicious, the atmosphere pleasant, and you immediately feel welcome. The owner, Alham, is the best—always friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Absolutely recommended!

Don't order anything online. Your food will either not arrive at all or arrive very late.

Around 9 p.m., after a four-hour drive on the highway, I stopped by Burger King to get something to eat. That was a mistake. I waited 35 minutes for two burgers, and then they weren't even freshly prepared. The buns were dry and generally lukewarm. The service was almost impossible to understand; everything was very broken and not particularly friendly, which was just about acceptable. Never again...

We were there at 1:00 AM after a flight. It's very nicely decorated compared to other restaurants. It wasn't busy. The food was ready quickly. The staff were very friendly.

Always clean and organised. Depending on the personal you will be well treated. The guy with mullet tonight deserves plus for service, attention and speed.

It's almost as bad as it was when Mr. Wallraff cleaned up. Some employees should stay home if they're completely overwhelmed with a simple order. If 10 customers come in a day, that's enough, but not at a fast-food chain with a drive-thru. On top of that, portions are getting smaller and smaller, but prices are getting higher and higher. I was there shortly before midnight, around 11:55 p.m., to get some food. When I tried to order at 12:01 a.m., I simply wasn't served, even though the food was still being prepared at the drive-thru. Additionally, the employees spoke to me very rudely. I would prefer to give it 0 stars. I would prefer to give birth to a Snickers in the deep fryer. Since I was raised well, this is the only reaction I get, fortunately. I need to let out my anger. I also had to jump over the fence because the door just closed. During that time, I twisted my ankle and sprained it. Thanks for this wonderful memory.

I ordered for almost 40 euros and the food was cold and a pack of 9 chicken nuggets was missing. I want them replaced but no one has answered the phone for an hour.

I'm a regular at Burger King. Polite staff, nice atmosphere, quiet setting, small but nice outdoor area. Restrooms are usually clean and there's no fee for use! I can only recommend it, but unfortunately, there's no Wi-Fi for customers.

The drive-thru button is very poorly functioning. Today, for example: "It'll take 20 minutes - I have a lot of orders... can you come in?" "Will it be faster then?" "No" ... in the old days, fast food was "fast"...

The visit to Burger King was pleasant. The food was prepared quickly, the burgers were warm, fresh, and well-topped. The fries were crispy and not too salty. The store was clean and the staff was friendly.

General/Food: The Drinks Problem! In general, I prefer Burger King to McDonald's, purely based on the burgers; I think you can eat pretty much any of them. I don't like the fries, however, as they're usually a bit soggy and the mayo is much oilier. Prices are often a bit cheaper than the competition, too. The problem, which shouldn't be a problem: The biggest plus, especially in the current warm weather, is that you can get unlimited drinks (with or without ice). Unfortunately, this is often also the biggest disadvantage, because especially in the evenings (if I'm there for more than 2-4 hours), I see lots of groups of young people hanging out outside, or quickly sit upstairs and take turns getting drinks for the whole group for hours without spending a cent, using a single cup rinsed in the toilet from the trash can! Someone new is always sent to the vending machine to refill the group's drinks, and the staff clearly sees this. They either don't care, it's too tiring to say something every time, or they simply tolerate it because of the frequency, which I find downright rude to the paying guests. Vouchers: Available daily in many different varieties, so I've basically been eating exclusively from them for months. The app is highly recommended, especially since the points you collect with every order can earn you some attractive free items or even entire meals over time. Staff: Apart from that, the staff is almost always the biggest weakness of this location. Slow, often unfriendly service. Usually, the wait is incredibly long, even if you're there alone. And the most disgusting thing, I recently observed AGAIN: a somewhat "heavier" and older southern European employee working in the preparation area regularly smokes directly in the food/preparation area, or comes back in with a cigarette and finishes it, which can easily be observed from in front of the counter. Especially in a branch that has been closed several times due to hygiene issues. Atmosphere/Lounge Area: Plenty of seating downstairs, upstairs, and on the terrace. When it gets a bit warmer, however, it's unbearable upstairs; there are no windows that can be opened, nor is there air conditioning. A bit of a shame for a small target group like me: there are no power outlets and no Wi-Fi, which is why I go to McDonald's for several hours to work 3-4 days a week and just to eat at Burger King. But otherwise, you can see that a different target group is being targeted. Hygiene/Sanitation: Everything is usually sufficiently clean, but late at night, no one bothers to dispose of trash or wipe down the tables, as so many groups of young people leave their trash lying around instead of cleaning it up. The restrooms are an absolute disgrace; for months, ALL toilet stalls have been inaccessible/unusable, apparently because they're broken (you can also hear water running constantly), and the restrooms are always dirty, and the floor is wet and sticky. Parking: There are plenty of parking spaces right outside the door. There are no charging stations. Apart from that, there are good public transport connections.

The food was really bad, and the store was not clean; tables, chairs, floors, etc. were not well-maintained. I'll never go back to this store.

I didn't receive my food until 40 minutes after ordering. The wait itself wasn't a problem, but it was very unpleasant that guests who arrived after me got their food before me. When I asked why, I was rudely told that my order was "too large." Apparently, it makes a difference whether you order alone or with a group. Also, my food had gotten cold from sitting for so long—I could even see it being placed on a warming tray, along with the tray, just to warm it up again.

One of the chain's below-average branches, whose problem is less the food (which is relatively warm and decent), but rather the seemingly permanent understaffing of the friendly, but visibly overwhelmed, employees, which leads to long lines at King Drive and in the restaurant, not only during peak hours. Unfortunately, this isn't a new problem (I've had to wait disproportionately long several times in recent years for 1-2 burgers from a "fast" food restaurant), but the franchisee apparently can't and doesn't want to learn from it, even though the McDonald's branch across the street operates at such a comparatively impressive pace that this night-and-day difference should be clearly visible to them as well. But it probably isn't. A real shame. Update June 23, 2025: Hard to believe, but in all the years this branch has existed, it hasn't improved one bit; in fact, it's gotten worse. Orders are still being taken at King Drive, even though there are already up to five cars behind the checkout counter, waiting for their order. So, before they complete these orders first, they'd rather take new ones so all the cars can play "caravan." "FAST" food looks different. To my great disappointment, the franchisee still doesn't seem to care. Unprecedentedly unprofessional and also rude, so I'm downgrading it to one star. A disastrous branch, especially compared to the McDonald's across the street. Embarrassing.

It used to be my favorite store, but now it's just junk. You order a double cheeseburger for your kid, and what do you get? Double chili cheese, which kids love anyway... It's the same thing every time: either something's missing or it's the wrong thing. This store needs a decent franchisee who can keep his employees under control...

Yes, better than years ago. But you always have to make sure everything's in the bag.

Every time you order extra sauce there and pay an extra 60 cents, you still don't get any extra sauce. This is the third time. Aside from that, if you take out another ingredient (jalapenos) and want extra sauce instead, you still pay more even though you get less. So you pay €2.70 for a chili cheeseburger (hamburger without ketchup, without mustard, without pickle, without onions, with chili cheese sauce) + €3.30 for extra sauce (which never comes on top). Maybe you should teach your employees what "extra" means! But what good are reviews anyway? You couldn't care less!

We ordered food via the BK app. Admittedly, it was quite a lot, but it still had to be perfect. We waited a relatively long time, and after calling, we were assured that the food was on its way. After waiting a bit longer, it arrived faulty (onion on burger) and incomplete (Sprite, burger, nuggets). We called again. After the most unfriendly phone service, missing items were supposed to be delivered. 40 minutes later, we received a third call. The driver said the order would be here soon. It should be there in another 20 minutes. Now we're waiting...

The worst Burger King of my life. The burgers were drowned in 1cm mayo and were dry. Outside, the pigeons took over the tray trolley and distributed everything. Before the employee "emptied" it (threw the garbage into the trash can next to it, which was already overflowing), he spat in the corner. What a dirty shop.

Oversalted fries (probably in love), ordered burgers with extra onions, there were none on them at all! Got a fresh buger. The employees mainly spoke their native language - we are here in Germany. Ratingen is done for me.

Took way too long to make our three ice creams even though it wasn't even that full. We also only ordered one ice cream with caramel sauce and two with chocolate then they gave us three ice creams without any sauce because there was no caramel and we also had to say that we would like them with sauce please. So overall terrible service

Were in transit. Super dirty, messy and drink station didn't work properly. Staff promised help, but nothing happened. Not recommended.
