McDonald's in Cuxhaven

An exception for us to eat burgers, but if so, then McDonald's is the place for consistent quality, the service still has room for improvement, but it was also quite busy when I was there, but a bit friendlier could be done even when the place is full.

The place is dirty both inside and out. The food is sloppily thrown together. The employees don't speak German... Not recommended.

I was at McDonald's earlier and wanted to order something with a coupon, but suddenly I didn't get a response at all. I waited longer and drove up, and then the drama began. The new employee was immediately unfriendly, and I was told to go inside. Then the manager, I think, came and was even unfriendly. I used to like going to McDonald's, but I'm going to avoid it now; unfortunately, they've completely lost their friendliness, etc. 🥸

Fresh food, friendly service, and short wait times—that's how it should be. Whether at the drive-thru or inside, everything is fine. A nice, modern atmosphere, with an outdoor area for kids and fresh-air enthusiasts. Clean restrooms seem to be the norm here, rather than the exception. Highly recommended.

A bunch of staff and they can't get anything done. Many don't understand German. The food is bad and unclean. The health department should be informed about the conditions there.

Very unfriendly and when you wait 10 minutes to pay and they talk in their language and laugh and think you don't understand them, you get that they make fun of the gesture and have to pay at the terminal in town at the checkout I am extremely dissatisfied and you don't feel wanted

Employees should be trained to respect customers' opinions and speak kindly. Also, coffee is served cold.

The best McFlurry ever here. The ice cream has been perfect here for about a year now. That's something you can't say about places like Bremervörde or Stade Mecces. I don't mean it's always good here, it really is perfect every time!

For mc Wrap 2 burgers and 2 drinks and 6 pancakes, 40 min waiting time, in the end no pancakes got instead a cheeseburger was offered which was not packed in

The food, of course, was the same as everywhere else. The restaurant was a complete mess. The restrooms were so dirty that I decided to avoid them. All the toilet paper was out. The holders and shelves were extremely dusty. The place hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The staff were completely overworked. New employees were apparently only given a briefing and then left to fend for themselves in the guest area.

When you want to eat something quickly.

Big Tasty bacon was completely burnt. Fries were ice cold, then they forgot to bring fries twice. McDonald's Chicken Samurai had no sauce. What's wrong with this place? Absolute garbage. It used to be better.

Judging by the long line at the McVitie's Drive-In and the way the burgers were thrown together, it seemed like it had been a stressful evening. The Weltburgers weren't exactly enlightening. But (and this is unfortunately something special): nothing was missing. All the ordered items and sauces were there, as well as plenty of napkins.

Update 08/11/2025: When ordering at the terminal, I accidentally ordered regular chicken nuggets instead of planted nuggets. I immediately asked if it was possible to change the order to planted nuggets. Mind you, this happened immediately, before anything had even been prepared. The shift manager who was called over then seriously explained to me that the purchase contract had already been concluded 😂 Neither exchanging the nuggets nor canceling the order to place a new order would be possible! I'll gladly forgo any further purchase contracts 👍🏼 By the way - the shift manager then also violated our PURCHASE CONTRACT by putting the wrong burgers in the bag 😂 Only the chicken nuggets I didn't want were the right ones! Comedy gold! I would like to see orders for Mc Plant Nuggets checked more carefully. It's happened quite often now that I've received 'regular nuggets'. I have the feeling that the employees themselves can hardly distinguish them because very similar/identical packaging is used.

There were fries on the floor, and the waitress walked past several times. The staff pointed it out, but they just made excuses. Tables and stools were dirty. The food was hot.

Unfortunately, the lobby was very unkempt, and the staff quickly seemed overwhelmed; only the shop manager seemed competent. A McRib for €6.09 was insane.

A very special kind of fast food experience 🙃 If you want to experience what cold food, sticky floors, and olfactory assaults feel like in the restrooms – here you go, this is the perfect place! My burger was hot enough to come straight from the fridge, and the bun was so sticky that I briefly wondered if it was actually a sponge. Fries? Lukewarm. Taste? More of a puzzle. The atmosphere? A dream in dirt and chaos. The floor: sticky. The tables: too. And the restrooms – my personal highlight – smell like they've been testing a biogas plant for days. That's a joy! Conclusion: If you like spending money only to lose your appetite and zest for life afterwards – go for it! I, for one, don't need that a second time.

I've never been to such a bad McDonald's in my life. Everything is covered in slops, the tables are littered with leftover food, and the staff isn't exactly the brightest thing on the planet. The wait time isn't exactly short, even considering it's a fast-food restaurant. The toilet is indescribable, the sink is filthy, it stinks terribly of urine, and you don't dare go to the bathroom because the stench is unbearable. The ordering terminals are covered in grease, as is the floor, which is also sticky. Bottom line: if you want to see the worst McDonald's in the world and eat there, this is it.

Unfortunately, a complete disappointment – not recommended. I was truly shocked by the condition of this fast-food restaurant. The lack of cleanliness was immediately apparent upon entering: greasy tables, food scraps everywhere, and a generally unkempt appearance. The bread tasted old and dry – as if it had been sitting around for days. My portion of fries contained many leftover potato wedges, suggesting faulty preparation. The staff also seemed completely overwhelmed. One employee wandered around the entire restaurant several times with a tray trying to find the right table. Another had visible difficulty reading an order in German – which ultimately had to be taken care of by the customers. The employee at the fryer was particularly noticeable; I felt like I had to explain what to do a dozen times. The restrooms were in a terrible state – the smell could even be detected in the entrance area. Overall, the visit was unfortunately more of a negative experience than a quick, uncomplicated restaurant experience. This shouldn't be called a fast-food restaurant, but rather a test of patience with an experience factor – unfortunately, in a negative sense. I can only advise against a visit.

I was just threatened by the branch manager, asking me what I wanted. The other branch manager can testify to this. I never thought I would ever be threatened at McDonald's. I wanted to place an order at the checkout. The branch manager pointed this out to me. I was supposed to go to the appointment time, and I said I would like to order at the checkout and sat down. The order came in at 4:30 p.m. After I spoke to the other branch manager, the other branch manager told me what I wanted and what my problem was, and then I walked out in horror. I then said to the other branch manager, what is going on here? I feel threatened. Why are they doing this to me? I'm just a customer who wants to order. Now I have to put up with threats. It would be nice if I were taken seriously and if the boss of McDonald's in Cuxhaven would write to me and say that the person responsible apologized. I really should have called the police and filed a report. Unfortunately, I had to put a star everywhere so I could at least hit send. I'm afraid

Restrooms aren't clean. And the burgers and fries aren't hot, they're cold. And there's way too much salad on the Big Mac. The wait is endless. They need more staff who aren't overwhelmed! McDonald's is really going downhill. It's a shame!

It's always the same, major communication problems... It's disgusting. Today there was no mayo with the fries, even though I asked several times! But instead there were 3 drinks for 2 meals. Guys, what's going on...? No napkin, cheeseburger dry as hell! Things have gone wrong before, but today I've had enough.

Rude employee at the McDonald's Drive-Thru counter. We were at the McDonald's Drive-Thru and were discussing what we wanted to order. The employee ignored us. Apparently, we ignored him at first, but when you hear just one undefined word, instead of the familiar phrase "Welcome to McDonald's, what would you like to order?" After that, we were ignored for minutes. Only when my companion got out and went to the counter did things get moving. At the counter, he then discussed us with his colleagues in his native language. When I asked them to do this in German so that they could understand, the employee said, "I don't speak German." He spoke and discussed things with us in German beforehand. I haven't experienced such rude behavior in a long time.

I've never experienced such antisocial behavior towards customers anywhere as I did in this branch. After waiting 20 minutes, my partner asked about his order and was simply left standing there. After he asked again, the employee (the manager, according to his own statement) became completely unfriendly and insulting. That's definitely a reason to avoid this branch.

Whatever has happened to this exemplary McDonald's? Once again, our order was misunderstood in the drive-thru due to a lack of language skills. The store is dirty, and at the delivery window, you can see people constantly touching their faces, hair, or noses 😳. It's like a movie, only the worst movie I've ever seen. That's probably the end of us as customers.

We were served today by a very nice young man. The food was great, everything was warm, and nothing was missing.

There was little sauce on all the burgers, and the meat was a bit dry, but overall, it was good for fast food. Service was fast and friendly. We were there on a Sunday.

Hey, I was there with my friends last night around 12:30 AM to go to the bathroom. The doors were still open; my girlfriend has kidney problems and wasn't allowed to use the bathroom. Foreign words like "yallah yallah" or other things were being used that weren't understandable. It's one thing not to be allowed to use the bathroom, but then such disrespectful behavior from the employee is unacceptable! Maybe they should reconsider the employees they hire.

Hello, We were there today and got breakfast. I'd love to give it 0 stars. The restroom was completely filthy, the outside area was dirty and full of trash. The inside was completely filthy. Even though the staff was friendly, it still wasn't a great sight. Let's get to the food: My husband had a bacon and cheese toastie, the bag was full of cheese on the outside and inside. The toastie itself barely had any cheese left on it, and when we got it out, it didn't look very appetizing, so my husband didn't eat it either. The same thing happened with our little ones. Sad...

This McDonald's is chaos again! 20 minutes waiting in line at the drive-thru. 5 minutes at the emergency call pole, and then 5 minutes at the window. No service, no response, not even a note. First, I had a nice meal at Burger King. It's only 100 meters away. This is McDonald's rip-off of its customers!

It wasn't too crowded and the order arrived quickly. The store isn't exactly clean. What was annoying was that there were no collection glasses.

Absolutely terrible! Everyone who was served before us complained that something was either missing, not right or something else was wrong. Not one thing in my order was right, some employees really should be checked better.

Yesterday, April 29th, was by far the worst meal at a McDonald's branch in a long time. Honestly, I didn't know something like this still existed. One after the other...ordering at the "counter" went quickly. The employee is competent and friendly. The food came to the table quickly... So...Now it comes: Starting with the fries. These were cold, oversalted and so limp...the Big Tasty, ice cold and the taste was just bland...The Chicken Mc Nuggets were loudly warm...the McRipp was warm, but far too little sauce, as was the Fish Mac...hardly any sauce, but cold again... The cola without ice...that was okay! Conclusion: The quality of the food on site still has a lot of room for improvement!!! The ambience is getting old and no longer up to date!!! Reminiscent of a festival tent with the long tables...

Ordered chicken nuggets and double cheese at the drive thru yesterday, my partner and I have the same diarrhea today, but extremely violently with cramps etc. as if someone had put laxatives in it.. not normal!!

The staff is not well managed. They seem overwhelmed and aimless. Unfortunately the staff doesn't do the business justice. We waited almost 30 minutes for fast food, then the order was wrong and the feedback was not accepted due to being overwhelmed. There is a lot of catching up to do here!

Today I went to McDonald's with my child. They didn't put any toys in the Happy Meal. And there was a hair in my burger. I went to the kitchen to pick up the toy and they even doubted my words. But the toy was later returned. The service is complete crap!

The shift manager with blonde, short hair refuses help with order deficits. Fries cold, undercooked, greasy. Cleanliness in the entire “restaurant” leaves a lot to be desired. Only service at the counter was nice. But also too few staff.

Unfortunately my experience at Mc Donalds in Cuxhaven was negative. I found cold fries, unsalted fries, fake burgers and unfortunately an unclean shop. There was hardly anything going on. My waiting time was 15 minutes for 2 burgers and a fries. Unfortunately, this wasn't the first time either, so you'd better go to Burger King a few meters away!

The staff are friendly and the restaurant is clean. The food tasted like any McDonald's. The ordering machines are very slow.

We were there today, ordering and waiting went really quickly because we took the food with us. I think if you eat there it will take a lot longer. What I personally have to complain about is the "friendliness" of some of the employees; friendly interactions with other people would be desirable.

Brought something out for dinner. The food was OK and still warm when I got home.

So service is very nice, but the cleanliness is catastrophic. I think the photos speak for themselves. Mc Monopoly hasn't been around for a while, which shows that it hasn't been cleaned here since then. That's definitely a reason for me never to come here again... It's a shame...

Food is as you would expect from McDonalds. Everything OK. MA are nice. What is complete crap is the lighting in the restaurant! It flickers on every corner and edge and has been for a long time. If you stay for a long time you'll get screwed! Is there no electrician for/at McDonalds? This should be fixed as soon as possible!!!!

Every now and then I quickly stop at Mc Drive counters after work. Burgers have often been missing or swapped. Until now I always thought, OK, it can happen. Nobody drives off again if they discover it at home. Today, however, was the crowning achievement. We had 2 Mc Ribs and the bottom of both of them was missing from the bun and clearly a burger was swapped again. Something urgently needs to change!

Apparently it is no longer enough for several burgers to be swapped with others when ordering. Nowadays, with McRibs you only get the top half of the bun with your burger. The fact that such a bunch of potentially long-term unemployed people are still being granted the minimum wage is an outrage for every normal working person. If you replace your employees who have fallen off the disk-licking bus with halfway competent primates, that would be an improvement.

Seeing all the reports of items being stolen from people's bags is a sign that the owners' management is involved as the problem is not being fixed.

Unfortunately, the staff constantly steals food, which you only notice when you get home. This happens almost every time we order and it ruins our food and is a waste of money. Managers really need to get this under control.

Were on vacation in Cuxhaven and ate there twice. Were satisfied every time. The employee who brought the food to the table for both of us was very, very nice and friendly. Rarely experienced something like that.

Things are getting worse here. The last few orders were always missing something or something was completely wrong. Instead of mayo, they put ketchup in their Happymeal. Instead of a salad you get extra salty fries. Drinking bottle for which you pay a deposit is completely missing... Consolation campaign... If only you could get them.... They were paid for but we didn't get them. It's annoying with several packs and, above all, at some point it becomes really more expensive than it has to be. I'm extremely disappointed, I really expected more, but nowadays it's no wonder when you hire such staff. First of all, you can now only choose two types of ice cream and no more. Unfortunately, there are always errors when ordering at this McDonald's. Often something is missing, and even with the Happy Meal something is often forgotten. This was my most disappointing experience at McDonald's to date. In the future I will prefer to buy the Happy Meal somewhere else as every cent here seems to be wasted. Burger King is the better choice for me from now on.
