McDonald's in Kassel

Unfortunately, this McDonald's has gotten even worse in recent years. I was there a few weeks ago in the evening, and it was quite crowded. However, I had to wait over 40 minutes for my takeout. When the fries are half-cooked and the burgers are already stale, you really feel uncomfortable as a customer. Since then, I've avoided this branch.

If you're ever incredibly bored and have a ton of time on your hands, you go to McDonald's on Kohlenstrasse on a Sunday afternoon. If the tattooed, dark-haired woman isn't there, it's chaos. Drivers are constantly coming in and having to wait ages, customers are waiting and waiting, orders are piling up and aren't being processed in any particular order, it's unbelievably loud, but very entertaining because mistakes are constantly being made. Customers complain, and to top it all off, your own food is practically cold. So you need a lot of time, and you have to be able to afford it. It's a shame; it used to be a top spot, the managers had everything under control. The drive-thru isn't any faster, by the way. So it's not fast food, more like slow, cold food.

If you're going to offer table service, it should actually work. Waiting 30 minutes for food at a fast-food restaurant is a long time. The coffee was lukewarm, the extra sugar I ordered and something to stir with were missing, the apple turnover was anything but warm, the fries were okay, but the Big Rösti (which is why I went there in the first place) was an abomination. It was carelessly thrown together, barely had any sauce, it looked like it had been shoved past the Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle), and the meat was cooked so dry it looked like it was supposed to be beef jerky. Only the Rösti patty was as expected, but there's not much you can do wrong with that. When I mentioned the missing sugar to an employee, she promptly brought me some, but I would have liked to finish my conversation so she wouldn't have had to run back for the spoon. All in all, I now remember why I avoid this chain!

We didn't eat anything, the coffee was mislabeled. Otherwise, it was okay.

The usual terminal service is available, but not everything works perfectly all the time, so you might have to wait a bit, which isn't a big deal. The food is standard McDonald's fare and definitely not bad; it's perfectly fine. It's always very convenient on the way home or if you just need to pop into the hardware store next door and haven't eaten yet 😅☝🏽. I'll definitely be back. The restrooms are acceptable depending on the time of day, but finding a parking spot can sometimes be a bit tricky because of the adjacent gym and hardware store. For children, there's a playhouse outside (as is typical for McDonald's) and, of course, some tables where they can eat. The drive-thru is always busy, but the wait times are reasonable and things move along quickly.

A really nice Meggis, very clean, quick and uncomplicated. One of the better ones in the area.

Ice cream machine broken, no ice cream

The location and parking are good. The staff are friendly. My order was also quite good, but a bit thrown together. A major problem: Almost every time I'm there, I have to search for a reasonably clean table. Sauces on the tables or food scraps on the floor are not uncommon (and I don't mean just for 10 minutes; it stays like that for longer).

The seating was reasonably decent for McDonald's. The food arrived quickly, but unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The Happy Meal was missing the apple slices because they had run out. Despite this, we were charged full price, and when we asked for something else or a credit note, they simply said, "We can't do that." But charging for a missing item is okay?! The wrap was half air. So, you basically just ate the wrap itself before you got anything else in your mouth. The iced tea was nothing but ice. And there was no straw to even drink the meager amount of iced tea. The kitchen floor was littered with dropped fries, old cardboard, and other unidentified substances.

Absolutely awful! The food was cold, the drinks were flat, and the staff were engaged in private conversations while serving the food, completely ignoring you!

I'm actually a big McDonald's fan, but my visit to the Kassel branch on Kohlenstraße was disappointing. The hygiene in the restrooms was very poor (see photos) – unclean, and overall, the place didn't give a well-maintained impression. There were also clear quality issues with the food and drinks: the fries were only lukewarm, and the Coke was flat. Unfortunately, this isn't an isolated incident, as the Coke was also flat about ten days ago. I'm not writing this on principle, but because I care about the brand. This branch struck me as falling far short of what one expects from McDonald's, both in terms of organization and adherence to standards. Please urgently review and sustainably improve the hygiene, beverage service, and overall quality of service.

The outdoor area (SLIDE) Very dirty. Tables and benches were covered in smeares, and the floor was also very dirty. It was only roughly cleaned after I asked. I don't need to go there again.

For three weeks now, I've only received warm, non-carbonated drinks. I specifically asked today if the machine was working again. Yes, the machine is working again! And what do I get? A non-carbonated drink. And instead of writing under every bad review to say you're sorry for the bad experience, why not actually change something? For example, a notice that you don't offer carbonated drinks, or maybe buy cases of Coke instead of automatically handing out warm, non-carbonated soda to customers.

The food was a disaster (even the burgers were cold), the fries were still raw, and the drinks were flat. We ordered them without ice, but there were ice cubes in them! The receipt had an invalid code! So, you're better off going to Vellmar; it was much better there last time!

This was by far the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. After ordering, I had to wait five minutes before an employee came to the register to take my payment. Then I waited another 15 minutes or so for the food. The fries were cold, soggy, and practically unsalted. The "Coke," if you can even call it that, tasted like water with a little sugar in it, and it wasn't really fizzy at all. The double cheeseburgers were the same as the fries: cold, and all the grease had soaked into the wrapper. Another very negative thing: an employee who processed my order walked from the fryer to the counter while chewing.

I don't mean to complain, I never do that with food. I went to McDonald's after a long time and was craving a McChicken and a cheeseburger. The McChicken was awful; it was so dry, like it was two days old. There was hardly any mayonnaise on it. They didn't have any lids left on the drinks. The fries weren't good either. The only thing that was good and fresh was the cheeseburger.

I waited 20 minutes for a small black coffee.

The burger was cold, the fries were barely cooked, and the Coke was completely flat. When I asked for a new one, the server said there was a problem with the machine. When I asked for something carbonated, he said he'd ask his manager... P.S. 20-minute wait for what they call food here. P.P.S. The CBO Smokey Dip was a bright spot, but it was pre-packaged.

Unfortunately, the drinks tasted exactly like water again – they were replaced, but it was still the same 😅

Ordered at the drive-thru and then checked the order on the side and noticed that one of the fries was missing. Luckily, they gave us some right away. When we got home, less than five minutes later, the fries were like leather, probably because they'd been sitting in the sous vide too long at the counter… then the Big Mac 😂 was only half-filled and had barbecue flavoring, which I absolutely can't stand… Seriously, you spend so much money and then this happens? €40 wasted and half of the two meals went straight in the trash.

The option to pay for mobile orders with cash has been removed.

I got one less burger and my water cup wasn't as full as last time.

I ordered a large 9-piece meal deal with a shake. McDonald's is currently running Monopoly again. I didn't receive a Monopoly sticker with the shake, even after asking for one, although it was listed as an option when I ordered. The McDonald's looked like a bomb had hit it. There wasn't a single clean table left. Everything was covered in McDonald's trash. The floor was filthy.

Unfortunately, my food was cold and the McSunday was no longer edible as it had melted into a mush.

Where do I even begin? Three Big Monopoly Bacon TS meals, a kids' meal (20-minute wait, and the service was super slow), one burger was forgotten, I got it later, checked again, got it again, and then realized at home that the missing burger was the wrong one. They also forgot the drink and fruit snack for the kid. Yeah, what can you say? I even got a chicken burger without a patty once. 🙄 And of course, the fries in two McDonald's meals were a disappointment. I thought I wouldn't check this time, but now I always check to see if anything's missing.

It's just a regular McDonald's, but unfortunately, this branch isn't exactly shining at packing the correct orders right now. They packed the wrong takeaway meal for me. Unfortunately, I only noticed when I got home and looked in the bag. So, a tip for everyone ordering takeaway: check your bags when you get there.

Okay, it was busy, so I waited forever and then went home. Then came the surprise: half of it was missing. Hamburg Royal TS was missing!!!

The restroom and its anteroom were extremely dirty. Sinks, walls, and floors were all greasy and dirty. Worse than at the train station!

Unfortunately, you have to give one star, but even that's not enough. It was the worst experience I've ever had. There were problems with my order, and the employee called the manager. He was an absolute disaster. He was so rude and told me I had to re-order the already paid order and pay again. He didn't see the problem and angrily sent me away.

I was disappointed this time. It was barely busy, and the wait was long. The first bite into my Big Mac slid right out. That wasn't great. The food was tasty. A little less sauce might have prevented that.

McDonald's like any other Unfortunately, there are only four outlets. Late at night, only three of them remain. Parking spaces also occasionally run out.

Unfortunately, today it's terrible again, which is why. Two weeks ago, half of the order from the McDrive-thru wasn't recorded (it would have been noticed if it had been repeated). Today, I wanted to play it safe using the terminal. Now, three servers are arguing about who will bring a tray to the table for longer than it takes to pack three new orders. 15 times before me, half of an order is already cold before it's even finished... there's an urgent need for training here!!!

I used to walk from Heerstrasse 3 to McDonald's for breakfast, especially after my wife left me and I lost my job. The service is good, and the cappuccino and cake are good. That was at the end of 2018. Later, I returned home and never drank a cappuccino again. Before that, I often came with my wife in a white car and ordered food. Those were good memories you won't forget.

"Fast food" takes on a whole new meaning here. Everyone who arrived after us at the drive-thru got their food before us. Some received two bags full, while we were only waiting for two menus. After 15 minutes, we said we were still waiting, to which we were only met with a "just a moment." The woman who had been waiting there before us also complained.

This had nothing to do with fast food. After a long wait at the terminal at the drive-thru, I had to wait another 10 minutes before my order was even taken. The employees spoke very poor German, which made communication even more difficult and delayed the process even further. Then, I continued on to the much too small parking lot: all the cars had to wait there and somehow squeeze in – it was completely chaotic. In total, I waited almost 40 minutes for just two burgers. When I finally received the food, everything was complete, but one of the burgers was only half-wrapped and was loose in the bag. This was my worst experience at McDonald's so far. Definitely my last time there.

McDonald's in the Netherlands, especially in Amsterdam, is significantly worse than in Germany. There are things they don't have in Germany, but there are too few of the things I wanted. Most of them were sold out and, on top of that, EXPENSIVE compared to Germany! The McDonald's app doesn't work at all in the Netherlands either!

We ordered a warm iced latte. A Filet-O-Fish: a dry roll with half a slice of cheese, and a fish stick for €6, completely overpriced! A completely dry muffin. Total price: €18...never again

Title: Totally ridiculous – never again! 😡 Called today specifically: "Do you have the BTS menu?" – clear answer: "Yes, we do." So I went and ordered three because my daughter was really excited. And then, when I got there, the nerve: "No, we don't. Maybe tomorrow or the day after." No one really understands German, no one feels responsible, zero willingness to compromise. Now I've bought three Happy Meals for nothing, and my daughter is devastated. And to top it all off: No response on Instagram or TikTok – this scam just ignores everyone! 🤯

Dear McDonald's HR department, how can it be that you hire people who don't speak German and who have contact with customers? It can't be that you have to explain everything with hand gestures if you want to eat something quickly at a fast food restaurant! Of course, the order arrived incorrectly, which was obvious if you couldn't be understood. To top it all off, your employees are also unfriendly and not interested in making customers happy. It's sad.

A disaster when ordering. They forgot to give me the complete menu six times, and you couldn't understand them at the drive-thru because they don't speak German. It's not their fault, but who employs these people? It wasn't just me who had this problem; I've heard it so often from my neighbors. I simply won't go there anymore. Everything's bad, like the toilets are dirty, there's no paper, etc.

After the renovation, this store looks great again. Unfortunately, certain items are often forgotten when ordering at the drive-up counter. So, check regularly. Otherwise, everything's fine.

A truly lousy McDonald's. The wrong toy in the Happy Meal (they somehow don't want to give you the right one), orders are often wrong, and last time and the time before last, the bags only contained half the usual amount of fries. And if you politely tell the employees or point it out, all you get is a shrug or an annoyed look. We'll never go to this McDonald's again.

I don't eat this kind of food and I don't recommend it to anyone, BUT sometimes my kids ask to go. I don't know how to rate the food, because it's a global brand and everything is pre-prepared. You want tasty burgers, they definitely don't have them. You wait for your order, and the employees shout out the number, and if you're talking to people you know in line, there's a high probability that you won't hear it or you'll mix it up. It's very inconvenient. This is my first time here, I don't know how to rate the place. It seems like everything is not that bad, except for the food. But they are not responsible for it.

Dude, the floor was oilier than a bowling alley. A widespread spill, similar to a shipping accident. The best part is, instead of mopping, they just put up two "Caution: Slippery Floor" signs. As if that would help. Just mop the floor. You have solvents for that sort of thing. Nuggets were okay, though.

I have to reduce my rating to one star; the chances of not receiving what I ordered are VERY high. I would recommend checking every order thoroughly; things are regularly forgotten, prepared incorrectly, or different products are handed out.

The most horrible McDonald's I've ever been to. Half the employees don't understand a word. Orders are always missing something, and you always end up waiting forever at the McDonald's. Then there's the employees' utterly silly attitude.

This is our third time here and today is the first time in all our visits to McDonald's that we've encountered such a long order pickup time I only took the Wrap and when I got to the pickup point 5 minutes after placing my order I saw it with all the dishes, they hadn't even packed it yet, that's a matter of 5 seconds! A modern, friendly McDonald's. Despite being very busy, orders were prepared quickly. Everything was clean, and the tray returns weren't overflowing and full of trash like they are elsewhere. I was impressed by the well-organized and structured staff.

My family of 11 and I were at a McDonald's. I asked an employee when they were open during the week. I was given the middle finger and told that they didn't have time for such questions. I would classify this as a normal question. P.S. I love cheeseburgers and Burger King would be my favorite from now on.

What's wrong with this McDonald's? Employees are unfriendly and don't understand anything. Shake tasted sour. When I complained, I was met with the words "I have no idea." I'm not from Kassel, but I've never had such a bad experience anywhere in Germany.

The place is nice. But the staff has a terrible attitude towards people. They gave me cold flatbread, and I asked for it to be warmed up. I got a comment for even asking for it. The food was completely raw, and the meatballs were like rocks. The staff doesn't want to work and is therefore rude to the guests. 1/10 👌

22:15 on Thursday half an hour waiting time, not possible

Quite crowded inside and out, probably because of the holidays, okay! I waited 45 minutes, then suddenly everyone around me who came after me got their order, not okay! When I complained at the front, the store manager spoke to me strangely. When I then canceled the order and wanted my money back, she got personal, not okay at all! I always thought the customer is king, but oh well, I don't have to go there anymore!

Since the renovation, it's been very nice there. We were positively impressed by the friendliness and service of the staff...

It's a shame that they don't accept cash payments when ordering online. Therefore, overall rating: 5.1. Star rating: 1-2 stars only.

The service is relatively fast, the food, if you can call it food, the fries aren't really hot, the Coke tastes like there's something there. The atmosphere is okay. Most MCs in Germany aren't really that great. The prices for this food are absolutely overpriced. No, not really at MC food. I eat healthier at a bakery.

You'd think that with a simple visit to McDonald's, you could at least hope to get what you ordered. But not here. No matter when I arrive, something is missing, is out, or is wrong. Today I thought to myself, "Come on, give them another chance—a McFlurry and a sour dragon tongue milkshake, what could possibly go wrong?" Answer: Everything. My daughter takes the first sip and says, "Tastes kind of like coffee." And yes, of course, it was NOT a dragon tongue milkshake, but some kind of coffee stuff. And now the standard response is sure to come again: "Please check your order on the spot." Sorry, but if I have to start checking behind the counter myself to make sure you're doing your job, I might as well start working there. The difference: I could remember two things—especially if I read them myself ten seconds beforehand.

Very bad fries ALWAYS soggy and the work is sooo slow

Pure rip-off. I paid almost €9 for two drinks alone.

Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience. The branch was completely overcrowded and chaotically organized. We had to wait 40 minutes for three simple orders - despite the dining room being lightly occupied. Orders can only be placed electronically, which would be fine in principle if that worked. Instead, there was no transparency as to when and how the food would arrive. Staff were overwhelmed and the atmosphere was hectic and loud. The employees worked like crazy; it wasn't their fault, but the store was already at capacity with orders from delivery services and McDrive-ins. Clearly an organizational failure on the part of management. I feel sorry for the poor employees who have to work there in this noise and under these working conditions. For us: never again!

Actually, it's OK, but the chicken in the chicken burgers is NEVER cooked through. We've had to return the burger countless times, and then the replacement wasn't cooked through either. Just fry the meat for 30 seconds longer, please. 😭🙏

The staff, and the entire restaurant, are very unkempt. They barely understand what they're being told and are incompetent at taking orders. This resulted in several potential customers being lost. This situation needs to be drastically improved. The monopoly position of a fast food restaurant at the train station cannot be sustained in the long run.

Very disappointing and completely unprofessional! My husband and I order from McDonald's regularly, but lately it's just been frustrating. Products are always missing from our order - cola, salads, side dishes... Several times we found that important parts of the order were simply not included. When I called to complain, all I got was, “Come over and pick it up.” – An absolute disgrace! When I order and pay for something, I expect it to be delivered in full and not to have to make a special trip to pick up missing items. The highlight was today: I ordered a tortilla that looks fresh and delicious in the picture - with salad, chicken, sauce. What arrived? A dry tortilla with a few sad pieces of chicken - no salad, no sauce. This has absolutely nothing to do with the picture. Something like this is misleading and just disappointing. I'm really upset and will think twice about ordering from McDonald's again in the future.

Ridicule and rip-off! I went to McDonalds again today and wanted to get a Mac menu as usual with 1x BigMac and 2x fries as sides. There is no menu anymore or I was lied to by the waitress for 2 minutes. On the McDonald's website it is officially still available with 2 freely selectable side dishes. Either way, if there are no more menus without drinks there, I don't need to go there anymore. And if the employee lied, the rating here is even more deserved. Paid 18 euros instead of 16 euros and got less food. Next time I'd rather have Burger King or pizza service. The branch here is just around the corner anyway.

I would like to experience at McDonalds that: - nothing is missing from my order, - my extra request (no onion, etc.) is fulfilled as I stated, - Fast food comes quickly (waiting 18 minutes for the menu is not “fast”) - the burgers look at least somewhat like the picture, - the burgers are warm, - the tables will be cleaned in the meantime. McDonalds offers all of this - then please fulfill it. It's not much to ask. All ordered products are listed individually on the slip - just read them and implement them.

Give you old fries and after you complain you get old fries again.
