Cold, dirty, and uncomfortable. That's how the situation since the renovation can be described. What a shame...

Since the renovation, it's simply cold, drafty, and uncomfortable. A real downgrade. The entrance area absolutely needs improvement; as it is, it's a disaster.

It's perfectly fine to go there again.

Unacceptable place, staff very unprofessional, including the manager/branch manager/whatever. We were accused of insulting the employee who doesn't speak German, but I was only speaking with my friends. We were then thrown out for something that was never said. Cheap store!

I received the wrong order. It was for a friend.

Since the renovation, we've been trying to avoid this McDonald's. We just don't find it inviting anymore. With the cold weather, it's freezing inside because there are no more double doors, and the automatic door keeps opening. You just try to eat quickly and get out of there. We also don't find the new layout cozy or inviting. Plus, the last few times we did go there, something was always wrong or missing from our orders. Wrong book in the Happy Meal, fries were salted, sauces were missing, a drink was missing, burgers were topped incorrectly. Always something like that. It's so annoying. We prefer to go to other locations now.

I was in Lübeck for two weeks and ate at this McDonald's three times for breakfast and three times for dinner. For breakfast, I always had a breakfast burger, and in the evenings, I had a wrap once and a burger twice. The McDonald's was really great. The service was always friendly. It was very quiet in the mornings, so everything was quick and relaxed. And even in the evenings during peak hours, it was surprisingly fast – always friendly, always attentive. One employee even asked if there was anything else he could do for me. I've never experienced that at McDonald's before – almost like restaurant service. For me, this is one of the best McDonald's I've ever been to. Modernly furnished, everything clean, large seating areas, double McDrive – it makes a very good overall impression. If I had to offer some minor criticism: when it rains, some parking spaces are flooded, making it difficult to get out of the car. And the yellow lines separating the drive-thru and McDrive could start a little earlier so cars can position themselves more clearly. But that's really nitpicking. Overall, I was very satisfied. A truly top-notch McDonald's in Lübeck.

We've ordered online several times, and almost always something is missing from the orders. It's a shame the staff there aren't very good at reading.

The drive-thru is way too crowded right now, all the way to the street. So environmentally conscious ;-) if you have to wait 30 minutes. Why don't you just open your doors?

Ordered today via the app, drove there, and waited because of a large order. Up until then, everything was as usual, quick and easy, and the staff was really friendly. At home, we discovered for the third time that the wrong menu was in the carton. Sauces were missing, and the burgers were incredibly dry, making them impossible to eat. We had to add our own sauces, unfortunately, especially considering the price. The kids' fries, which we ordered without salt, were so salty they refused to eat them. The whole experience was absolutely unacceptable. All the advertising about freshness and so on doesn't make up for it. This was our last visit, as things haven't improved in the slightest despite our complaints.

I'm impressed by the incredibly hardworking staff. I think it's fair that people with disabilities are given a chance. The employee was constantly on the go, always asking if there was anything else he could do for us. I've rarely seen such diligence.

This has nothing to do with fast food anymore; you always wait at least 20-30 minutes for your food. Then you wouldn't expect everything to be in the bag. I've never left this restaurant without something being missing.

Don't come here at night. I have no idea if there was any staff there at all, or if they were asleep. In any case, you won't get anything to eat.

Unfortunately, a mistake happened that simply shouldn't happen in the restaurant industry these days. We ordered vegetarian nuggets at the drive-thru at 4:40 AM, and we correctly specified "vegetarian" or "plant-based," as they call it. The employee acknowledged this and took the order. Later, when we got home, we opened the nuggets and ate one, and immediately realized they were real meat nuggets. That's unacceptable. We then saw on the order that the plant-based nuggets hadn't been recorded; instead, it listed regular nuggets. A clear error by the staff. The restaurant isn't answering the phone. WhatsApp hasn't worked either so far. We've filed a report via the app. We'll see what happens. But this is an absolutely unacceptable mistake that shouldn't happen. Otherwise, the order and payment process was relatively quick and straightforward. However, one star because, well... it's just not right.

I'm extremely disappointed! We ordered takeout at the drive-thru so we could eat at home. Order number (OK66). Unfortunately, the order wasn't complete. So I went inside to sort it out, but unfortunately, preparing the rest of my order took so long that the other part got cold. My request to have my entire order remade so everything would be of the same quality was ignored!

I go there occasionally. When you walk in, everything's fine, but when you drive up to the drive-thru and enter a coupon code, it rarely works; often it says it doesn't. It's ridiculous. Even though everything is up to date, it works for others. And while you're at it, if there's any kind of promotion, you never get the free gift at the drive-thru, only inside. That's absolutely unacceptable!

It's McDonald's, except that this one is often spontaneously closed or otherwise out of order.

Unfortunately, after the renovation, it's as cozy as a bus stop. The new doors let in a lot of cold air. At least you can't hear the noise from the kitchen anymore. There doesn't seem to be any room left for an office after the renovation either; one or more tables in the restaurant are regularly occupied by employees for meetings and work.

Super crowded and unfriendly staff

A 25-minute wait for a coffee and a cola is pretty harsh.

What's going on? Employees are moving in slow motion. Fast food restaurant???? We waited 20 minutes for the food, the place was empty!!!!

It takes an extremely long time to get anything. The employees are unfriendly and turn away when you talk to them. They say it's too crowded, but there's almost nothing going on! Disastrous!

Simply embarrassing the food and the staff you get cold food wrong food then you personalize burgers and still get what you take out

The ordering panels weren't working properly, no receipts were being issued, and when I asked about it, the answer was, "Yeah, that's just how it is." I eventually received my order, and when I got home, I was surprised to find something was missing from my order, and the burger looked like someone had sat on it... Sorry, but it doesn't have to be that way.

It's just annoying...out of the 20 times we've been there, something was forgotten at least 18 times. The staff get really annoyed every time you tell them that something is missing...that's not acceptable!!!

A symphony of flavor explosions followed by diarrhea hit me. Getting so deliciously closer to obesity while simultaneously not consuming any nutrients reminds me again and again of hiding my own goals. My personal Anne Frank of fast food <3

Bought 4 Sprites on the menu, they all tasted like water. All the sauces were missing, a big surprise when I got home... Since this happened several times, that's it for McDonald's. We're going to Burger King now.

I pre-ordered via the app. When my order was due, it appeared as "ready for pickup" for a second and then disappeared completely. The same thing happened to the family next to me. When I politely inquired, they replied that this was normal. But then all the other orders were served, and our two orders were served 5-10 minutes later, when the display was empty. The food wasn't complete (I checked directly at the counter because of similar experiences). Instead of an apology, two people meticulously checked to see if the missing burger was there. It was also lukewarm.

With a very manageable order of two McSmart meals, one burger was actually forgotten for each meal. When I asked if everything was complete, the answer was, of course, "yes." I was also asked for a moment so that, according to the staff, they could complete the order to my complete satisfaction... and then they simply forgot one burger per meal! It's simply embarrassing and unacceptable.

Today, the NICEST and friendliest new server was here. I don't know her name, but she definitely had an English accent. I'm writing here because she deserves the praise. MCs needs more employees like her!!

Nice store, but unfortunately, half of the order was left behind when we picked it up at the parking lot. Since the lady left so quickly and there wasn't time to check, we had to go inside. The handling of the missing items went smoothly, though. A Coke squeeze bottle and water were missing, and the last two items were in the Happy Meal. A very long wait today. It was also very busy.

I understand everything correctly, a small coffee is supposedly a small coffee, but half a cup? That's not espresso.

Open 24/7? That's OK. No milkshake at night in SUMMER??? Absolutely not possible!!! And a little more, no, even FRIENDLINESS, wouldn't be bad.

I was here on September 9th in the early afternoon, and the employees were super friendly! We were asked several times if everything was okay, how was the food, and if we were satisfied. Best McDonald's experience ever.

Hi, We often stop here on our way through. But since Lieferando vehicles keep blocking one of the two parking lot delivery spots, we no longer go to this McDonald's. There are two others nearby.

We ordered in Parking Lot 1 instead of the regular drive-thru. The meals were prepared super quickly and were delivered by a super friendly employee. We'd happily go there again.

I haven't been there in a while and was surprised – it seems to have been remodeled. I really like it – it was clean, tidy, and well-laid out. The staff were also super friendly (I didn't expect anything, which is why I was so impressed) and I got my order quickly and easily. What more could you want from a fast-food restaurant? :)

We've never experienced such a friendly welcome at a McDonald's before! "It's great that you're here. If you need help, I'm happy to help!" 😍 It's fantastic that this store also gives adults with disabilities a chance – a huge round of applause for that!!!

The MC Drive order was only partially correct. Now they're skimping on the second patty for the Big Mac. Because it wasn't there.

Waited 25 minutes for a McFlurry even though the store was empty... poor service.

As a German, it was difficult to converse in Arabic. I think that's why I always get the wrong things and pay €4 for a chicken burger even though I wanted something else.

Well, first of all, I think it's crazy that you have to speak English these days if you have a question for the staff, and secondly, I had the worst fries I've ever had at a McDonald's today. They were probably pre-cooked at some point and then, when our order came, they were thrown back in the fryer to reheat them. Or the fat was just way too old. That's what they tasted like, anyway. They barely had any salt on them... I have the feeling that you can really forget about the chain, at least here in Germany. You always have to check at the drive-thru because they ALWAYS forget something.

Just had a fantastic breakfast. Everything was nice and crispy and fresh. The staff was also very friendly. Thank you very much!

I haven't seen such a clean branch in a long time. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. When delivering food to a table, they check with each table to see if everything is okay and to their satisfaction. 👍😊

It's nothing to do with a fast-food restaurant. I had to wait 40 minutes for two menus and two Happy Meals. Then something was forgotten. It can happen, but I would have expected an apology, not to be handed it over without a word. The restaurant wasn't that busy. Therefore, it's completely incomprehensible why you have to wait so long for your order.

Last McDonald's visit for a while. I do it with the kids once in a while, but now my patience is running out. It's nothing like a fast-food restaurant anymore. After placing an order at the terminal for about 4-5 minutes, I went to the cashier to pay at the bar. After standing there and waiting for a full 5 minutes, as none of the four employees greeted me or even acknowledged me, a friendly employee came and took my order. The problem with the whole thing is that the order isn't initiated until after I've paid. So it took me a whopping 25 minutes to order, pay, and get to the car. The concept definitely needs to be rethought, and most importantly, the staff needs to be rethought. The food was more lukewarm than hot. Even on the short walk to the parking lot. It's a shame, because with the prices these days, it's more like a restaurant than a fast-food restaurant. For us, that's the end of it for now. The 1-star staff rating is solely for the super-friendly blonde employee, who has a sense of humor and isn't entirely happy with the whole situation, as it's impossible to maintain standards. Nevertheless, the star is for her! ⭐

After a long time, I came here twice this week and last week. The first time, I paid for a €23 order with a €2 tip using a €50 bill. I got a whopping €15 in change... The second time, a drink was "forgotten"... I will NEVER come here again. I'd rather go to Burger King, where you'll be treated fairly.

There are better ones where the price doesn't change between ordering and payment. If you ask, you're treated like an idiot. Absolutely ridiculous!!!

Today I was at McDonald's at Lohnühle. I ordered via app, and the food was brought to my table. I was wished "Bon appétit," and later the nice gentleman asked me if everything was to my satisfaction. At the same time, they were tidying up, and all the customers were being served with real affection, as far as I could see. Everything went perfectly.

I don't speak Arabic, but as a customer I can expect a minimum of friendliness, which is not possible in this shop.

It's absolutely embarrassing when employees can't count to four. Ordered 2 shaker fries, 1 regular fries, and 1 fries-on-the-bone potato. One fries was missing. But that's not all. A samurai burger was also ordered... It wasn't included at all. That's easily €10 for both items separately. Job description: Please cheat customers out of their goods.

It's annoying. This is the third time I've gotten the wrong order. I only go through the drive-thru when I'm in a hurry. I've been to the drive-thru three times this year, and each time I get something different. Of course, I realize it too late and have to turn around. It's annoying. As soon as they introduce two lines for ordering, nothing works anymore. This was the last time.

The restroom was a disaster. It's a disgrace that these places are allowed to operate like this. Service was friendly. The food came quickly. Nuggets and salad. The salad was very manageable. Adequate for a snack. I will generally avoid McDonald's.

A regular McDonald's restaurant with the new design. The food was quick and good. Friendly service. During my visit, the tables could have been cleaner, and unfortunately, two of the four ordering kiosks weren't working. I think the new waste separation system is very good.

I don't usually write reviews, but honestly, that's the last straw. What a dump, the staff are so poorly trained, they can't even do their math. I've never gotten what I ordered in the last three years. We usually check our food every time, but today we were a bit rushed, so we checked the bag at home. Of course, the kids' food was missing. Thank you, you supermen!

Absolutely delicious. Friendly staff. The fries were crispy and the double cheeseburger was really juicy. We've never had such a delicious meal at McDonald's before.

The food is great. However, communication with the employees is very difficult. Unfortunately, there are only two people working there who speak broken German. The rest speak English due to the language barrier, and not very well at that. Ordering is very easy thanks to the terminals. But still, check your food. In our last five orders, something was forgotten four times. It happens sometimes. No question about it, but four out of five is far too many. Perhaps they should rethink the motivation and commitment of the employees. And train the staff properly, instead of relying on (apparently) cheap labor to maximize profits. That was my last time in the shop at the Lohmühle.

Orders will be deleted before collection

Despite the availability of reusable cups, the milkshake isn't available in the standard form for €8/liter. Instead, it's available in a disposable cup for over €11/liter. It's a business calculation. I went there several times a month. Now I'll switch to a competitor.

It's quite stylish for a McDonald's, but the wait time is a bit long for a fast food joint. However, everything is still fairly well organized, especially if you don't come during rush hour. Service is semi-good, and you often have to wait before you even get to your question.

An absolute mega-disaster. Over 20 minutes of waiting time for just a strawberry shake and a cheeseburger. Then the cheeseburger was cold and the milkshake lukewarm. This price-performance ratio is an absolute disgrace. Back when Hans Hahne still ran MCD in Lübeck, there were no such !!SERIOUS!! taste and service deficiencies. It couldn't be more subpar.

Just ordered ice cream with my daughter. Twenty minutes later, we finally got our two ice creams. To our surprise, the dark pieces in the ice cream weren't vanilla—they were PLASTIC! I'm never going there again! When I pointed out to the staff that the machine was apparently broken, they were unimpressed and continued selling ice cream. Impossible!

Not what you ordered and then half the bad performance is missing at the end

Ordered 6 cheeseburgers today, got 3 cheeseburgers and 3 chicken burgers for the same price, your loss... (I only noticed it at home and no, the store and drive-thru weren't full and everything went quickly). Since I don't like chicken burgers, I gave them out to the homeless in town. I won't be getting food from there anymore, every time something is missing or something is wrong.

Very friendly staff, and our order was delivered to our table very quickly. We will be back.

Something always gets forgotten, then it's supposed to be redone, and what if the wrong thing was done? You waited 40 minutes, and now everything's cold. You've gotten so sick. There are markers for marking off what you've packed.

On Friday, we happened to be at McDonald's here in Lübeck. The restaurant was amazingly clean, and the service was very good. It's not what you'd expect.

After the renovation, I find it very busy and uncomfortable. Yes, it's a fast food chain, but you still want to enjoy a burger or other treat in a pleasant atmosphere. To me, it seems more like a mass-processing operation. The staff, on the other hand, are very attentive and on the ball.

Cold burger 🍔 waited 20 minutes for it and when I told the waitress she said she is not responsible for that

It's been newly renovated and is really great! There are also lots of new things for kids, like coloring pages, a memory wall, etc. But what impresses me most is the friendly staff! The staff at a McDonald's has never been as friendly as they are here! They even ask if everything's okay with our food, and when we swapped toys, they brought us a new box from the storeroom. They always have a nice saying! We love going here! 😍🥰☀️
