The food and atmosphere are typical McDonald's. The McDonald's Drive-In actually prohibits the term "fast-food restaurant." Long lines form at the McDonald's Drive-In, and you wait forever with others in the parking lot until your food finally arrives.

Absolutely not a recommendation. We waited well over half an hour for our food. One order was even forgotten and only prepared when we asked. And then the burgers weren't even fresh or hot.

I don't recommend going there to eat, it's dirty, everyone is full of rats 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢

The food was freshly prepared, the atmosphere was great, everything was clean, and the staff was very friendly. But: no accessible restrooms (regular restrooms are only accessible via a steep staircase).

Maybe you should wait with the mouse/rat hunt until there aren't too many customers in the store who notice it...

The most delicious food of the many Macs we've eaten at. The food is cooked quickly! The fries are fresh, crispy, salty. The burger feels like it was just made. From a soft, fresh bun. And finally, a Coke with ice!!! Hooray. My favorite restaurant at the moment. The hall is clean and there is pleasant music. The staff is friendly and helpful.

A McDonald's like any other. The staff is completely overwhelmed. You have to meticulously check every order, because in 7 out of 10 orders, something is either missing or the wrong product is packaged.

Actually, something's always missing. We often take the food home only to notice that certain things are missing. At first, we complained regularly and were even given vouchers, but now we've resigned ourselves to it and accept it, but that's not a solution either :(

When I arrived at the drive-in, I was first told, "Just a moment." After about five minutes, I was finally able to order and was directed to the second counter. There was only one drink available, and I had to wait a good 10-15 minutes in front of the entrance for nine nuggets and a plate of fries. (The restaurant and drive-in were almost empty!) On top of that, the employee was very rude, unfriendly, and unmotivated. This wasn't my first bad experience with the store at such times. It's very sad what some people are paid there, and I gather from other reviews that many people have bad experiences. No, you can't recommend that. Even when ordering, they emphatically said please make it fresh, definitely hot fries, what happens if the fries are soggy and lukewarm? That's not acceptable.

After ordering, I lost my appetite; the men's restroom resembled a swimming pool. Luckily, I didn't end up on the floor when I slipped.

Too crowded, too loud, too dirty. Long waits at the table. The burgers were slammed into the wrapper so they fell apart. And you had to ask the waitress to clean the tables, not to mention the floor.

The best McDonald's we've ever been to! We picked a time when it wasn't that busy, so the atmosphere was really relaxed. The service was PERFECT, the staff were super, super friendly, and answered our questions in a really nice and friendly way, and the food came very quickly. They also asked us several times if everything was okay and if we were satisfied; really great service. At the end, they even helped us take our trays away and wished us a nice day! A really fantastic experience. Special praise goes to the tall employee with black hair and a beard (he should get a pay rise).

Everything was absolutely dirty. Not a single table had been cleaned, and there was trash on every table outside. We waited over 45 minutes for our food. First and last visit.

Our visit to McDonald's today was an eye-opener. The restroom was dirty and unusable; you stand in people's urine. There was hair in our food. The staff was unfriendly; the shift manager was a disaster; he shouted and argued throughout half the store. Unfortunately, we didn't get our money back and won't be going back to this store. To top it all off, rats came out of the back exit in the parking lot. I wish everyone a good meal at McDonald's Castrop.

Two burgers were forgotten and, in addition, a finger was accidentally placed in the shake at the drinks counter

We went to McDonald's as a group and ordered coffee and hot chocolate. The display clearly showed that the drinks were served in glasses, but we received them in paper cups. No one told us that there was no service there or that things were handled differently. Only after we asked and explained again what we had seen were the drinks finally brought to us in glasses. The service was very poor overall – you didn't feel welcome, and it seemed like you had to figure everything out yourself. This is not what you imagine a visit to McDonald's should be like.

We've given the store a chance (despite constant dissatisfaction!), but now we've really had enough! In addition to the mostly unfriendly, unmotivated, and incompetent staff, the cleanliness also leaves a lot to be desired! We usually wait at least 15-20 minutes for our order (when the place is empty!). Our order has been forgotten several times, and then it took a good 45 minutes because we asked for it after a while. Furthermore, our order is usually incorrect and/or incomplete! We really don't order much, as I almost only eat the 'plant nuggets'. As a vegetarian, I always have chicken nuggets in my bag instead of the veggie version! Of course, we always check before leaving the store. Today we checked again, but when I got home, I bit into a chicken nugget after all!!! All the others were exclusively 'plant nuggets'! Of course, it can happen SOMETIMES!, but it shouldn't! Especially not when we're the only ones who've placed an order!!! Simply an impossible situation!

The biggest dump, the majority of which is staffed by incompetent people. The wait time is usually 20 to 40 minutes for a normal order, and then half of it is wrong.

We've tried it several times now. Sometimes we've had good days, but the negative ones are more frequent. Often there was something wrong, or if something wasn't there, they didn't let us know and simply left it out. We didn't get a refund or an alternative. (Which was offered at other places.) The worst part was, we waited over 60 minutes for our order. We went to the front and were told they couldn't tell us, and they didn't even listen to us. A woman in front of us only waited 30 minutes and the order was taken right away. We found that very rude. It's okay if it takes a little longer, but you should listen. We just left. What a waste of money. Never again at this McDonald's.

I find it horrible that every time I've been there the ice cream machine doesn't work, just like the food always gets cold, and it's happened to me three times that I got hair on my food and the mayo tasted really bitter, like it was out of date. It's tasty in itself, but I've had a few cases like this now and I think it's unacceptable, especially when you eat here with your children - it's a case for the public order office!

Today I was there with my family and placed an order and paid for it. After 20 minutes I asked when the food would be ready, please wait for an answer today. After another 10 minutes the food finally came. But of course something was missing, so there was a discussion at the counter. Then I had to present a receipt to prove it. I said then bring it to the table. After ten more minutes nothing happened again. The family had finished eating and I got the missing burger at the counter. Whereupon I threw the burger on the floor. Sorry but if you can't accept and process digital deliveries then don't do it. I don't want a donation, just what I paid for.

I ordered coffee, cappuccino and 2 pieces of toast, waited for half an hour until I asked and didn’t do anything, when they did they didn’t give anything as an apology. Ps they had the toast for half an hour and had already cooled down and the cheese stuck to the packaging

We've actually been coming here for years because unfortunately it's the only branch near us where we could get warm food (from McD) until we got home. But every order has been incorrect for years. In fact, we have yet to receive an order that was completely as we ordered it. You learn from it and over time we got into the habit of checking the order immediately after it was handed out and complaining immediately. Because we knew that no orders were complete yet. It doesn't matter whether you ordered it in advance, in the drive or in the store. Always the same game. But now with the last order the hammer came. It was relatively empty in the store and we took our order again and checked it immediately. The only thing missing was, how could it be otherwise, the sauces for the nuggets, but they were missing. Went there today with children, ordered and paid at the service kiosk inside the branch, nothing out of the ordinary, a McMenu and a McSmartMenu. A long wait and then getting cold burgers and cold nuggets. This was discovered and criticized in the branch and of course demanded warm food, employees were still rude and snotty cheeky in broken German discussing how one could determine this without having eaten. As if you don't feel that it's cold when you check whether you have everything you ordered in the bag! Excuses upon excuses, it wouldn't be like it used to be, it wouldn't have to be fast and hot anymore and the kitchen appliances wouldn't be like it used to be. Branch management then took care of hot burgers and nuggets. Employees like that don't deserve a job anywhere anymore if they behave so rudely towards customers. Embarrassing for the company and the management there. Staff perhaps too old to work at the counter because the two women there were definitely so old that you would think they had been educated and taught decency and would have understood the need for a job.

Once and never again! My husband and I went to this McDonald's yesterday and unfortunately the visit turned out to be a huge mistake. My husband got sick after eating - stomach problems and nausea. Something like that simply shouldn't happen. Hygiene and quality don't seem to be a priority here. Very disappointing, we will definitely not be coming back!

A total disaster. Ordering machines seem to work as well as the ice cream machine, almost never. The staff is completely overwhelmed and a big problem is the language barrier because hardly any of the employees speak German fluently. A lot definitely needs to change.
