McDonald's in Eckernförde

Had food poisoning once but once they say yes it's never an issue I still go there often and so far it was only the once I hope it doesn't happen again but as a snack for in between meals it's always good

I've been here several times with my family. 🧒🧑👬 Always happy to come back when I'm in Eckernförde...😀😉😊

Extremely dirty toilets that smell disgusting.

I travel nationwide as a sales representative. This is the worst McDonald's nationwide so far!! The coffee was undrinkable. After ordering, I was treated like a stupid boy!! Ordered a latte, and it was just as disastrous. Breakfast was cold. Staff were extremely weak! Visited on October 19, 2025, around 12 noon.

I was there with my family today and was very disappointed. I've never seen a McDonald's so dirty. There was no soap in the restroom. The water in the sink wouldn't drain. There were no paper towels left. The trash can was overflowing. The hand sanitizer was empty everywhere. There were leftover food and trash all over the floor. The tray return rack wasn't emptied. The tables and walls were dirty and smeared. It was hard to know where to sit. The air conditioning was apparently broken. It was incredibly hot. When we asked if they could do anything about it, they unfortunately couldn't help us. Even the trays the food was served on were greasy. We absolutely cannot recommend this McDonald's.

I went there again today and was, of course, disappointed again. No spicy nuggets, no hot sauces, ice-cold nuggets. The burgers were cold and prepared with real love. McDonald's is completely out of the question for me.

Today we just wanted to get food from McDonald's after a long day, and several things were missing when we got home. So we called and didn't get a refund, so we were told to settle for two free ice creams. The manager was very rude.

The drive-thru is very cramped. Driving a Lamborghini would ruin the expensive rims. The entrance and exit lanes need to be significantly adapted to today's vehicle sizes. You have to be a really good navigator. The service is super friendly and very fast. No waiting.

We wanted to eat here, but there were no seats left. We asked if it was possible to sit upstairs. The very rude answer was, "Huh, no! The upstairs is closed!" So we'll head to the competitor.

One of the dirtiest stores I've ever seen! My McFlurry wasn't even half full!

You order something to eat because you've been on the road for several hours, and what happens is you don't get the things you ordered and paid for. Simply disgusting. NEVER AGAIN MCDONALDS ECKERNFÖRDE!!! If you can, go to Kiel or Schleswig.

Only used McDrive, good fast service

The entrance to the drive isn't good; it's okay for small vehicles but not suitable for larger ones. The curve after the checkout is completely messed up; larger cars can easily get stuck on their rims. It's not well thought out.

Waited way to long for my order, was on my lunch break. Went up there after 15 min. And asked for my order. They said they were sorry, and the computer was broke. But gave me my order from my receipt. Still my lunch break was over had to eat on the way

Friendly service. Ordered, waited briefly, and it was done. It's a bit back on a main road. It's perfectly fine. 👍

The place is absolutely filthy. Train station restrooms are much cleaner. What a pity.............

A small McDonald's, but okay considering the size of the city. The food came quickly, and everything else was fine.

Repeatedly, I/my daughter is being laughed at because of her celiac disease. My order is "1 Big Mac without bread." It's funny enough for the clerk to laugh at my daughter. For my daughter, her sadness is another reason to throw the food away! McDonald's Germany has refused to introduce gluten-free burgers for years, like almost ALL European countries around Germany. Her next visit will be in Holland or Denmark, where she can eat gluten-free burgers instead of being laughed at and losing her appetite.

Extremely slow fast food, overwhelmed employees

Very dirty restaurant. Some of the food was very cold. I got severe stomach cramps and diarrhea after eating here. Never again from this restaurant!!!

Oh man...it's probably not always like this, but today was a disaster. It's probably due to the pandemic regulations. Upon entering, we were immediately yelled at for only being allowed in one at a time. My colleague was immediately sent back. So I was left standing alone in the branch...apart from the busy employees who seemed to be running back and forth in a pack. After I paid for my order, I was immediately sent outside. So I stood there in the McDonald's drive-thru area and waited what felt like forever in the cold and wet for my order. When I finally got it and was on my way to my car, another employee came after me because my order wasn't complete...it can happen. The burger didn't look so great either. Barely any sauce on the McDonald's rib, and it was carelessly slapped into the packaging. Onions and pickles were lying next to it...Sorry, but others can do much better! I'm just assuming it just wasn't your day. Best regards...actually...I love it...

We couldn't convince our grandson that the food here wasn't that good. The service was poor, and after a 15-minute wait, we left and got something in Kappeln.

A McDonald's branch that makes you feel uneasy the moment you enter. The employees run around like headless chickens. One hand doesn't know what the other is doing. A flow of communication that resembles a game of "Chinese Whispers" in elementary school ultimately results in a bunch of incorrectly placed orders. In my case, it was actually just two drinks and a burger. The whole thing took 15 minutes, and in the end, it arrived completely different than I ordered. It's really sad.

We only stopped there briefly on our way back from vacation. The staff was friendly, and everything else was fine.

I was there today and used the drive-thru. Unfortunately, something was missing from my order again; and the staff apparently can't read either. Because it wasn't the dressing I ordered. Never again... Maybe they should hire staff who can read German.

No!!! And why??? I've rarely seen such unmotivated employees. They're completely overwhelmed by the whole situation. Something urgently needs to change!!!

Admittedly, it was busy. But waiting more than 20 minutes for a simple ice cream is way too long for a fast-food restaurant.

We got the Grimace shake and unfortunately the icing was forgotten...which was a bit disappointing.

I would not recommend it anymore. Something is always missing from the order. The tables are dirty, and the entire men's restroom was full of shit.

I made a mistake with the side dishes for my burger. After a quick chat with the staff, they corrected it without any fuss and were very friendly to me at all times! Now that's what I call customer service! Always happy to come back 😊

McDonald's, ordering machines out of service, the others don't give any receipts.

Dirty. The tables are dirty and covered in ketchup, soda, etc. I'd rather not mention the restrooms. Considering it was newly renovated, we expected more.

I was satisfied so far. The atmosphere was good, the staff friendly, and the food was decent. One thing bothered me, however, which led me to a suggestion for improvement: please pour the coffee for on-site consumption into your own cups (especially since there are plenty available), as this not only makes the coffee taste better but also reduces waste.

The wait times were far too long. I wanted to place my order at the checkout, but after 15 minutes, the staff informed me that I could only do that at the terminal. The wait itself wasn't that bad, since I could watch the rats running around and eating.

A solid McDonald's with the usual offerings. The food was okay, but the wait time was really short. The staff is friendly and quick, and the McDonald's is clean. It's worth a try.

I don't recommend it. It's dirty, I'd better not go in. When I touched the table, my hands got sticky. When I sat down on the chair, I just got stuck. If I walk around here, my shoes get stuck here. When I opened the package, there was no Big Tasty Burger inside, but greasy and disgusting. Instead, the contents surprised me even more. It looked like a mixed salad, not a burger. I've never experienced such a bad McDonald's. There's always something missing. People spend ten minutes walking around with their food. The end result is cold food. When I pointed out that the food was cold, the employee said it wasn't that bad. Complaining directly in the store doesn't help; the manager apparently doesn't care.

Full hut, typical Mecces, but the upstairs hadn't been cleaned for a long time and the trays were piling up. Edit: 2025 There were no clean tables/seats again this time.

Coffee and cappuccino simply disgusting. Tastes like it was kept hot for two days. Chocolate almond is placed on top of the coffee and of course melts completely. Drive through, someone only answers when you think there is no one there and you continue driving. Is there no second switch? You have to drive into the parking lot and get your order there. But nobody tells you that. Doors are tied open with cables to make it easier for staff to walk to the parking lot with the order. What's going on there?

I don't understand how people can get so upset here? It. Is. A. Mecces. I've never had bad service, the "hardly German speaking" employees are, in my opinion, the nicest and try very hard and my food is almost always right, fast and tasty🥰 Maybe, dear ones, it's because of how you treat the staff when you all have such terrible experiences with mecci. Don't act like that. And to the employees: you're doing great :)

Very attentive staff, helpful and nice service. Process quickly. Food hot and tasty. Great for on the go, to take a break and satisfy your hunger. Gladly again!

We were at the drive-thru. The employee was very friendly and everything about the food was there and tasted good.

It is one of the worst/worst MC restaurants I have ever experienced. Almost no order is complete. I have to complain every time. Cold burgers, half-full bags of fries, wrong sauces... Many employees don't even have the slightest command of the German language. Basically no problem, just not with the guest. Rudeness is standard! If orders were paid for via PayPal but cannot be delivered, you will only get your money back under protest and the threat of police. SAD and a damage to the reputation of the chain.

The exit on Mc Drive is a disaster if you drive a big car.

Very small, no information below that there are additional seating and lounge options on the 1st floor. The locals certainly know this, but as a foreigner you should be able to find a clue.

Geht gar nicht. Personal ist unfreundlich, der Laden verdreckt. Ich wurde 25 Minuten auf dem Parkplatz stehen gelassen. Als ich rein gegangen bin um zu fragen was los ist wurde gesagt, dass jemand anderes meine Bestellung genommen hat. Keine Entschuldigung nichts.Ich wurde dann einfach im Laden stehen gelassen. Als ich fragte was jetzt passiert, da keiner reagierte, kam die Dame rein, die versehentlich meine Bestellung auf dem Parkplatz entgegengenommen genommen hat. Mir wurde gesagt, dass mein Essen neu zubereitet wird. Zu Hause stellte ich dann fest das ich scheinbar die alten und inzwischen kalten Burger wieder mitbekommen habe. Widerlich!!!

Very variable cleanliness, friendliness and service competence. Sometimes I'm very satisfied, sometimes I'm quite disappointed.

There are definitely nicer Mcces out there. It was super cold. We sat upstairs and had to keep our jackets on. The burger looked thrown together and the fries were cold as always

Far too expensive, over 15 euros for two burgers, a portion of fries and two drinks. I love my fries from my own hot air fryer. Next up is to try homemade burgers and I bet they beat the fast food burgers by far. At least I know what's inside. And it's a shame when the waitress speaks such bad German that you have to use your hands and feet to communicate. Goodbye forever.

So McDonald's has fart dry burgers everywhere. But the service here isn't exactly great either. Half of it is somehow always forgotten...

The craziest burger joint there is far and wide. Even 1 star is way too much. Ordered 2 wraps, one without tomato and one with coffee. Three things that are theoretically not difficult to produce. A wrap should have no tomato, there was no emphasis on that and instead of coffee I had the warm machine cleaner in the cup. I've never had such a great breakfast. Conclusion: If you want to spend your money unnecessarily on garbage, you've come to the right place. Of course it's just fast food, so the expectations are lower than the level of service offered here, but I was still extremely disappointed here. Keep it up and hopefully the crap shop will no longer exist soon! 🤝

The food is of normal McDonald quality. Usually something in the menu is no longer as warm as I expected. The tables should be wiped down more often by the staff in my opinion.

I just have to say I have never experienced a McDonalds like this. Let's start with the toilets. Such dirty toilets are absolutely disgusting. The trash can overflowed and I'd rather not describe the rest. Now to the food. Staff super slow. Waited over 10 minutes for 4 items and then got it wrong. The dancer (shift leader) just stands around and looks at the world. Staff not motivated. The franchise should be ashamed.

It is clean and tidy and well organized.

We were the first customers there just in time for opening so we could have breakfast QUICKLY. Order has been out for 33 minutes. No breakfast in sight. It doesn't work at all. Never again! When Franzbrötchen are first made, a note is required.

We were happy with the food and table service. There were also refreshing towels here. These should be offered at every location.

This MC Donald is pretty much the most disgusting thing I've seen in years. There is rubbish everywhere, completely listless and unmotivated "employees", and basically the wrong food in the bag. Complaints are either not resolved at all, or are dismissed as “you shouldn’t act like that.” But the best thing was the completely incompetent employee who walked around outside and kept coming to the cars with the wrong orders...much to the annoyance of the customers who had been waiting for what felt like ages. In short: THE VERY LAST STORE. I can only really advise anyone not to stop there.

The quality of the burgers and service is getting worse and worse. Orders are packed incorrectly and are often cold. Nowadays you always have to check whether everything is correct.

Everything great. Good quality. Unfortunately the machines didn't work properly, so we had to place 3 orders for 3 things :-D It was a bit annoying because everything arrived individually, but I think it was a software error and not the branch's fault. Service was good.

Update September 24: Salad on the burger already half composted, disgusting See photo In the spring of 23 I was pleasantly surprised that the food was great, today, October 25, 23, the horror, burgers apparently reheated several times, fries soggy and salt-free. Had McDouble, Chiliese. Dry, the two meat patties could not be separated from each other even with force, the cheese was mostly dry and stuck to the paper, the buns were greasy/dry and sticky, heavily browned and flat. My enthusiasm from spring and summer is gone and the restaurant is back where it was for the last few years. The quality is subpar, some of the staff are incompetent, no knowledge of German, communication is pointless. I'm going back to BK...

We waited a really long time for our food...

First of all, I feel sorry for the employee who had to serve the drive-thru as well as the customers in the store completely alone. In the car I noticed that my wrap had a bacon sticker on it even though I only ordered one with cheese and egg. When I got home, I realized that my big morning egg also had bacon on it. This visit was a total failure.

All in all, the food was okay. The fries were as always. The burgers were okay, but the petti wasn't very tasty (neither the vegetarian nor the original (BURGER KING can do a lot more)). The drinks were without equipment (no lid/straw. The Franzbrötchin was bottomless. Too small, not cheap. The property was nicely decorated and the upper deck was open. Service was relaxed and the food was ready for pick up quickly. Conclusion: McDonalds has now been overtaken by the competition and I would visit another fast food restaurant next time

The shop is dirty. The employees are unfriendly & listless. The food is not fresh and absolutely not edible!!! Unfortunately the menu wasn't complete either. We've never experienced anything like this at McDonald's! Never again!!!

A McDonald's on two floors. Rarely seen. What else can you say? Not very crowded for an evening around 8 p.m. and reasonably clean.

I was just eating here with my wife and child and I can't recommend anyone to eat there. From my seat I had a nice view of the garbage cans where garbage was just lying there... fries tasted old... the burger was Apparently you can make it yourself... the worst McDonald's I've ever experienced.

I can only confirm that the restaurant is dirty and the employees seem completely listless. Even though an employee pretended to clean the tables, they were still just as dirty afterwards. Other employees stood listlessly behind the cash register and chatted. There really wasn't much going on and yet everything was dirty. Burger wasn't 100 percent fresh either because the cheese was already dried out. So in short, one of the worst McDonalds ever. I can only assume that they don't care because they expect guests who are passing through and who won't come back anyway.

I've never experienced a McDonald's where you have to wait that long for your order. And the employees are overwhelmed. Just experienced it again yesterday, ordered 4 cheeseburgers. It was at the top of the table being prepared, including a few more people, suddenly everyone was pushed away. Several customers asked where their order was and when Antwotz came, it was ready straight away The lady behind the counter told her colleague that she was getting confused. After 17 minutes and asking twice, I got my order. A gentleman said it's always so catastrophic here, I'm only on the corner once a month, but I experience it again and again. You really need to take a look here...

The food is not tasty, the burger has a lot of sauce which is spicy and doesn't go well with the chicken cutlet! Coffee (espresso small), very sour and very small, not worth the money! (11 euros to the wind)!

We were here on a Saturday evening, there were no more soft drinks, the tables were completely dirty, the trash cans and dishes returned were completely overflowing. Unfortunately not a good experience.
