McDonald's in Erfurt

With my order (a chicken burger at McDonald's in Zella-Mehlis), I was served a dried-out and hard mess, presumably from being stored in the warming tray for far too long. When I politely asked if this was the standard, I received the answer – yes! I then explained to the employee, who spoke poor German, that this was absolutely unacceptable, especially since I myself had once worked at McDonald's, and immediately demanded a fresh burger. This was brought to me straight from the kitchen and turned out to be the exact same burger I had already complained about. I gave the employees another opportunity to rectify this blunder and went to the restroom, only to leave again immediately. You might find such a hidden restroom on a highway that hasn't been cleaned for two weeks. Disgusting! The entire restaurant area exuded the serene calm of complete neglect. This McDonald's is absolutely not recommended – unfortunately!

I had breakfast here today, and my chicken burger was great and fresh. My bacon toast, on the other hand, was cold and had clearly been sitting out too long while reheating—hard, dried out, almost cold! 😒 My mini pancakes were also almost cold, hard, and dried out! I ordered a new one and sent the others back. And what do they do? "It could take 10 minutes!" No apology or even a word of apology! The kicker was, the next time I ordered, they brought me 10 old pancakes plus two fresh ones! Disgusting, who does that?! 😤 Apart from the one low-level server who brought everything, all the other staff were clearly very unmotivated! This McDonald's branch is simply awful!

I ordered vegan nuggets and received chicken nuggets in the vegan nugget packaging. Absolutely unacceptable! A refund isn't the solution!!

They threw regular nuggets in between the vegetarian ones, incompetent bunch.

I had to wait half an hour for two ice creams because they simply forgot about me. My burger was mixed up with chicken and a roll. An employee slashed my fries right in front of me.

Despite table service, people keep calling out the address. The tables and benches are not cleaned at all. The toilets here are almost beyond words; everything is full of urine and there's a horrible stench that makes it seem like it's been like this for days. Luckily, as a man, you can still stand before your bladder bursts; unfortunately, you had to stop there. Once and never again! The staff are listless on top of that, and orders are not given out in full... and no, the place wasn't full, but almost empty at 11:10 p.m.

It's getting worse and worse there :-) The manager is putting down her own staff in front of customers. She's yelling loudly at her colleagues. You'd think the woman was overwhelmed. If only she could take the person aside and talk to them. But what happened there was truly low-level behavior. I can't recommend it. The waitress is yelling across the store, "Hey, brother, your food is ready." The fries aren't salted. There's not enough service, and the staff are naturally overwhelmed. Everything gets mixed up, and some things are forgotten due to observation.

The toilet is almost always "broken"... The food is like any other McDonald's. It's best to check the bags right there in the restaurant. Burgers, sauces, and side dishes have been forgotten several times.

Today I ordered a Mac Flurry with mango boba pearls. There were little black dirt particles in the ice cream itself. I find that absolutely disgusting. They really need to do some hygiene training here.

The worst McDonald's there is. No air conditioning, dirty, nuggets served frozen, and instead of an iced latte, they served a hot latte macchiato. Horrible, never again!

If you order at the terminal and then have to go to the toilet, the 50 cents are not paid out even with a receipt. The employee simply got grumpy at me when I asked her why that was.

Always very loud and overcrowded, you rarely get a free table

Hello, I rarely complain. I ordered food there again today and then noticed at home that fries were missing again. This wasn't the first time it had happened. I felt like every time we ordered two meals, fries were always missing. It's not our responsibility to check every time if everything is there. Since this didn't just happen to us, but also to a good friend, I simply have to complain. This isn't acceptable. Please give out the correct food that was ordered. It could happen once, so I overlook it, but now it happens so often, no, that's not acceptable, that has to be changed.

Disappointing service and inappropriate behavior from staff I am very disappointed with my last visit. My family and I were shopping at this McDonald's and simply wanted to use the restrooms and wash our hands afterward. Instead, we were extremely rudely informed that we would have to purchase another restroom ticket worth €0.50 per person – and this was not credited to our previous purchase. This approach is completely incomprehensible to me and unfriendly to customers. It leaves the impression that service is unfortunately no longer a priority here. This was definitely my last visit to this location – there are much better alternatives available. Never again McDonald's in Erfurt!!!!

Third order today and something is missing again... it's just annoying...

The food quality meets the usual McDonald's standards: not outstanding, but satisfactory. The staff always strives to provide optimal service. However, the digital numbering system has malfunctions; the order number is often displayed too early or is not visible at all.

Unfortunately, a huge disappointment. Our order was missing a Big Tasty Bacon or Chicken Burger. After calling, we were assured that the missing burger would be delivered – we've been waiting for 1.5 hours now and have tried calling several times, but there was no response. No response, no apology, nothing. In theory, you now owe us both a Big Tasty Bacon and a Chicken Burger. That's not how you treat paying customers.

My child got raw fries and instead of cola I got more of a sparkling water with cola added… service was disastrous - they didn't even display my number, the order was on the side for 20 minutes. And they didn't give a spoon for the ice cream - after 3 requests we finally got it… I don't recommend it

Frankly, i would never go here sober, but when you had some 🌿 or drinks and need a quick after-midnight snack this is the way to be. Get the App and use Coupons so you don't feel bad about spending way too much on mediocre Burgers.

I had a disappointing experience at this branch. An entire meal—the 20 vegan nuggets—was missing, even though it was supposed to include a promotional glass. Although the staff claimed they were out of glasses, they were clearly visible behind the counter, which seemed a little lacking in transparency. Furthermore, the entire order was of poor quality: the burgers, fries, and mozzarella balls were dry and seemed old—nothing seemed freshly prepared. I hope measures are taken to improve the customer experience.

Toilet costs extra, despite stay and consumption.

Dear service team, Today I visited your restaurant with my child. Unfortunately, we were unable to place an order using the order machine - apparently due to a problem with the machine card, glass and barcode. Instead of helping us in this situation, the restaurant manager simply directed us back to the machine without offering any further assistance. This meant that we ultimately couldn't order anything. My child was very disappointed and I am also extremely upset about how we were treated. Such indifferent and uncooperative customer service is unacceptable - especially for families with children. In such moments you ask yourself what role the manager is supposed to fulfill if not to provide support when problems arise. I really hope that you take this feedback seriously and take appropriate action to improve your service.

I go in, everything goes smoothly at the beginning but then we have to wait over 20 minutes for our food and then the waitress complains that we should go to the front and ask the kitchen ourselves. We ended up getting the wrong side dishes and the burger a lot half apart. There were also ice cubes to cool in every second drink so that the drink was warm after 5 minutes. NO RECOMMENDATION

It's just a McDonald's. Food is okay, the extra requests are often forgotten but what you paid for. So really control what you get. Then dsd staff refuses to accept orders at the checkout. What's so bad about making your order at the checkout like you used to if you want to pay in cash anyway? McDonald's itself has never said that orders can only be placed at the terminals. So just stick with it

The food is really great, absolutely no question. However, the service, the operation and the food pick-up process leave absolutely a lot to be desired. I've experienced it so many times that I received my food incorrectly and then was insulted or the people behind the counter couldn't handle people's orders at all and my order simply disappeared. The worst experience I had was in Erfurt at the Anger in McDonalds. The atmosphere is okay, but McDonald's is almost 90% full, although you can usually still get a seat at the double terminals. Small children push you, but teenagers make fun of you. I had to go through all of these things in my "McDonald's visit history", which is why I wanted to get out of the restaurants as quickly as possible. Accordingly, I always took my stuff with me and didn't eat there.

Lieferando says delivery is possible until 9:30 p.m. but you can no longer order after 8 p.m. What kind of nonsense is this??

Price/performance is no longer right. You have to wait 12 minutes for 1 cheeseburger. Orders via Lieferando are preferred.

You have to do that first: place the bacon next to the burger on the edge of the box, forget the wrong dressing for the salad and the fork for the take-away salad.

This Mc Donalds restaurant is not recommended at all and in our opinion does not correspond to the ideas and guidelines of Mc Donalds Germany. An inspection should be carried out there promptly and appropriate measures taken. In detail: we were here as a couple for the opening of the Christmas market in Erfurt in 2024. Previously we used the paid toilet for 50 cents each. (basic cleaning urgently needed) In return we each received a voucher with the same value and we wanted to redeem it when placing our order. Since the employees from distant countries hardly spoke German, we ordered at the terminal and then wanted to pay (cash) at the checkout. This was the only way to redeem the aforementioned voucher for the “toilet”. An employee at the bottom of the hierarchy then loudly shouted “cashier” twice for his “boss” and after waiting for a while he appeared. But he first walked past us, clearly ignoring us and first went to another corner of the kitchen before he came to the checkout. He did not greet anyone or make eye contact. In the meantime, I was able to watch another male employee harassing a presumably new colleague and giving her nonsensical orders and enjoying it. Our food was only lukewarm and the burgers were apparently filled quickly and carelessly. We have never experienced such behavior and such poor quality when visiting a McDonald's restaurant.

In terms of food and service, everything is great, so you can't complain. Unfortunately, I have often noticed how a branch manager constantly discriminates against the employees and puts them down. I think such racist behavior has no place where mostly only foreigners (who do their jobs well) work. As a guest, it is unpleasant to watch this.
