Maximilian - Restaurant & Cocktailbar in Laupheim

First the positive. A very nice, well-equipped restaurant, toilets just as picobello. Service very friendly. But what really stinks to me. We were there to eat with our colleagues, something we actually do every year at Maximilians. We almost all had steaks with herb butter. To be honest, they were very small, for almost €27!!!!!The cooking point was significantly overdone and a bit tough. The food was very nicely presented. Last year the steaks were a lot bigger, I couldn't get enough, my colleagues were of the opinion that it couldn't be done that way. Then they wanted to sell us a tiny dessert afterwards, also for a lot of money. We won't be going to Maximillians again next year. The boss has to think about whether he wants to lose even more guests. It's a shame about that. I actually really like this restaurant.

Actually everything is okay. Until the invoice came, without a receipt. When I wanted the receipt, I suddenly got 2 euros in my hand...You can try it...it's a shame, I'm very disappointed. So, always ask for a receipt when paying!!!

My husband and I ate here for the first time today (9.11.24) and at first I was really surprised at how beautifully decorated it was inside and that we got a seat without a reservation. A short time later the chaos began, no one came to us for a long time so we got the order cards ourselves. The drinks came relatively quickly but we waited over an hour for the food. Statement from the boss “if you come on a Saturday you just have to expect it” but we would have liked them to have warned us that it might take a little longer, then we would have gone somewhere else. There were far too few staff and the boss treated his employees very rudely, which is not possible in front of the guests! Dear boss, don't skimp on staff on a Saturday evening and then the guests won't have to wait so long for their food. The same thing happened with paying, the waitress was so overwhelmed that she probably forgot about us (which I really can't blame her for) and we then had to go to the counter ourselves because we just wanted to finally leave. At some point we were cashed in at the counter and kudos to the waitress, despite how the boss treated her, she was very polite to me despite all the stress. Conclusion: first and last time, I don't want to put my money in the pockets of such bosses. Ah yes the food was mediocre and the price didn't quite match the price in my opinion, Hawaii Pizza Mega dry.

We came by here by chance and were really impressed. Great atmosphere, salad and main course very good! The quality here is consistently great, from the interior to the staff to the food! Clear recommendation!!

We were there with a larger group for indoor dining and drinking. liked: - Staff committed - the food tasted excellent and was well prepared - Beef was on point - the salads were beautifully “colorful”, i.e. with many different components - Waiting time was short, both for drinks and food - Restaurant and toilets clean and nice atmosphere - comfortable chairs Recommendations: - the dishes should come to the table promptly, even for a larger group, but unfortunately everything arrived mixed up with us, even the same salads arrived very late, which can be organized better in the kitchen. - Pay particular attention to drinks that are ordered non-alcoholic, as this can have very bad consequences if someone has to drive, for example. - the garlic bread that is served with the salads could be made quickly and easily yourself (baguette with homemade garlic butter or herb butter from the oven and served beautifully); you can see and taste that it is a baked baguette you bought from the discount store. At this price level (20 euros for a salad) that's a no-go! - the prices for the dishes are at a higher level and quality is worth the price. However, the disorganized kitchen and the sometimes inattentive service cloud this feeling somewhat, there is still room for improvement.

Nice restaurant, food tastes good, unfortunately the pizza was a bit burnt on the edge. Staff varies from very friendly to somewhat indifferent.

There were two of us in the outdoor area (beer garden) and we had a pleasant, shady table. The service was friendly and took our orders quickly and also asked repeatedly. Whether everything fits. The food was good, I had a salad with turkey pieces. My companion had a pizza special. We were both full and satisfied after eating. My salad dressing was good, but I know better ones and also much worse ones. The price level is a bit high, so if in doubt, you should first consult the menu available online. But I can certainly imagine that we will go there again.

The food is pretty good and the service is ok, but when we paid we had a bad surprise: an older woman with blonde hair told us a sum that we should pay without giving us the bill. If the social welfare office finds out, you'll have big problems . So be careful when paying

I had the Maximilian Chicken Burger, which was huge and super tasty. The cocktails also taste great. Price-performance is definitely justified. When the weather is good you can sit outside on the terrace with a great atmosphere, but inside it is also very inviting. I would definitely like to come back.

If the owner gives himself 5* without reacting to his criticism and reviews, then I have to say, based on my last experiences, that this location is by no means a highlight in terms of its quality, prices and service and justifies a visit .

Ambience is nice, staff is nice, but.... The food is too expensive for what you ultimately have on your plate, so I just expect better quality from the food products..... (e.g. frozen croquettes, no, that could be better) The biggest point is the drinks, whether soft drinks or cocktails. There is too much ice in the drinks; when you take the ice out, the pure drink is below the calibration mark in the glass, and this happens with several samples. That's very borderline, the ice cube in the glass = less juice or cocktail goes into the glass....... and the prices are also too high for the drinks. I was there once and definitely not again. By the way, the plate below costs over €33, The cocktail over 12€

In itself it is very tasty and good too. But it is completely overpriced. Food and especially the drinks. That's why I won't visit the restaurant again.

Food tastes very good, dishes of a high standard. Looks good and tastes great! I recommend the onion roast - a nice piece of meat with a good portion of fresh fried onions and a strong dark gravy with fries or potatoes as a side dish. It's one of the three best roasts I've ever eaten! The ambience is also very nice with a large covered outdoor terrace, although I find it even more inviting inside. The only thing is that the operation is sometimes a little slower, but that doesn't really bother you because everything else is really great. Just bring a little time with you! Clear recommendation.

Service was very good. Food was also okay (burgers), but in my opinion and compared to other restaurants, the price/performance ratio is sometimes not optimal. Instead of pork, there are only products made from turkey, but this is only as neutral information.

Ambience is really ok Prices are totally exaggerated for what is on offer Just about any dish from the freezer can be quickly thrown into the deep fryer and it's done! Salads are a good size but really disgusting for €18.90

19€ for a burger that has a patty that looks like cheaply bought pressed meat. The taste is also completely unloving for me... Price/performance is not right here at all. Fries delicious. I can't recommend it.

The pizza in this restaurant is a disgrace...tastes like frozen pizza...and the price is totally exorbitant at 15 euros. Conditions unfriendly.

Visited for the first time today. The salad plates looked good and plentiful. Unfortunately I chose tagliatelle with scrambled eggs and chunks of turkey. The name there is tagliatelle carbonara. I have to say one of the worst carbonaras I've eaten in a long time. Firstly, hardly any taste, luckily there was extra parmesan. Secondly, scrambled eggs have nothing to do with carbonara. Thirdly, the turkey ham chunks were a disgrace. Furthermore, eternal waiting times. Panna cotta as a dessert with a 20 minute wait and then half frozen. Ambiance is okay. Price performance is not justified for me!!!

We've been there several times now. Unfortunately the prices there are completely exorbitant. A rump steak (200 grams without a fat edge) with a few grilled vegetables that unfortunately weren't fresh 24.90.- I ordered it medium+ and it was still raw in the middle. Something like that shouldn't happen. I can expect such prices in a 4 star hotel but not in a restaurant that has absolutely no flair. No music nothing. My wife had turkey schnitzel with wedges, the wedges were drowned in gravy. The cocktails were ok but nothing more. The quality of the food was okay but nothing special to justify the price. We also had a pasta casserole gratinated with cheese, I've never seen anything that bad. The cheese was completely liquid and inedible. My son has a Margaritha pizza. It wasn't pizza at all. I could have put one from Wagner in the oven for 3 euros. The pizzas are also completely overpriced, 14 euros in some places. I don't even pay that at the best Italian restaurant. Just as a tip: If I estimate prices that high, everything should be perfect, and everything around it should be perfect too. I'm happy to pay a little more, but not for this location and the quantity that was on our plate. But the service was very friendly. Unfortunately we will no longer support something like this.

Wir haben essen bestellt. Uns hat es eim bezahlen fast umgehauen . Hatten in corona zeit dort oft essen geholt. Salat 4 € mehr , 1 Pizza 5 € mehr, Burger 4 € mehr. Mozzarella sticks auch 4 € mehr.... das ist unverschämt diese Preiserhöhung. Das ist nicht mehr unser Lokal. !!!!! I.B.

I have been talking to the service staff for years because I work in the catering industry myself and I want the tips I give to reach the staff. Unfortunately, the waitresses at Maximilian are not allowed to keep their tips, as various waitresses have told me again and again. Total impudence, why should you give a tip if the waitresses aren't allowed to keep it??? A waitress once miscalculated with me and when I pointed it out to her, she said it wasn't that bad and she wasn't allowed to keep the tip anyway. Delicious food, beautifully presented, but unfortunately the prices for the salads are now too expensive, €16 for a salad with mozzarella sticks.

Nice service. Super tasty burgers. Nice cozy atmosphere. Nice location, also suitable for parties.

Overall it was okay, burger tasted good. However, the champagne was too warm and unfortunately the bottle was not served in a champagne bucket. There is still room for improvement when it comes to price-performance

We used to eat out more often, the prices have risen enormously recently and the quality has declined, now I've seen the New Year's Eve offer, NEVER AGAIN.

We have often ordered salads to-go from Maximilian's. They are also really tasty and will definitely fill you up. I always thought it was expensive, but now we pay €36-38 for two salads with mozzarella sticks and that's just too much. I realize that everything has become more expensive but unfortunately that is no longer possible. Will look elsewhere in the future.

Das Essen ist gut, die Portionen ebenfalls, auch der Service ist gut und das Ambiente genießen wir seit vielen Jahren. Nur inzwischen ist der Preis der Speisen und Getränke einfach dermaßen überzogen, dass man sich einen Besuch nicht mehr leisten möchte. Schade, denn wir haben das Maxi immer gerne besucht.

Vom Essen dort wurde man noch nie enttäuscht. Die Portionen sind groß und die Qualität gut, was sich jedoch meines Erachtens im Verhältnis zu sehr im Preis widerspiegelt. Im Sommer kann man toll im Außenbereich sitzen. Das Ambiente ist schön und lädt zum verweilen ein, ist aber nichts besonderes. Alle Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und auch sehr kinderfreundlich. Man kann Dart spielen und die Raucher müssen im Winter aufgrund des Raucherbereichs nicht frieren. Den Raucherbereich nimmt man im Nichtraucherbereich geruchstechnisch nicht wahr. Danke, und wir kommen wieder.

Gutes Essen, nette Atmosphäre, Preisleistungsverhältnis passt sehr gut. Sehr freundliches Personal. Auch die Portionsgrößen sind mehr als ausreichend. Kann man als Restaurant für einen geselligen Abend sehr empfehlen.

Ein sehr schönes Lokal mit tollen Sitzgelegenheiten drinnen und draußen. Die Speisekarte ist sehr umfangreich und die Preise moderat. Als wir zum Essen dort waren mussten zwei Personen das vollbesetzte Lokal draußen bedienen. Hier wird Personalmangel wieder einmal deutlich. Dadurch litt etwas der Service. Dennoch kommen wir gerne wieder, da das Essen gut und der Service sehr bemüht ist. Meine Empfehlung: Beste Salatkarte und Qualität in der Region.

Einfach ein super Location um Freunde zu treffen und gut zu essen. Wir gehen öfters hin, der Service ist perfekt, sie geben sich richtig Mühe.

Gestern Abend das erste Mal dort gewesen! Alles war einwandfrei, die Portionen optimal, Bedienung sehr freundlich, keine langen Wartezeiten doch vor allem sehr lecker!

Hatte ein Steak in Medium bestellt, es war so durch, dass es trocken war. Dazu hatte ich 3 kurze Haare in meinem Essen. Bäh. Und das für 28 Euro...

Letzte Woche dort gewesen und nach 30 Minuten kam jemand zum Getränk aufnehmen und dann kam keiner mehr.... über 1 Std gewartet um bestellen zu können .... sind dann gegangen. Schade das Lokal war mal so toll mit dem Service

Service war gut, Essen in Ordnung. Für das was man angeboten bekommt, sind die Preise aber deutlich zu hoch. Das Ambiente draußen ist auch nicht das schönste.

Große Auswahl,große Portionen und man muss nicht lange aufs Essen warten. Sehr freundlich Personal. Es ist nur ein Restaurant aber mit einem tollen Ambiente, man fühlt sich sehr wohl , ob mit Kindern oder Geschäftsfeier.

Das Essen ist sehr vielfältig. Leider waren die Tintenfischringe fast noch weiß und innen somit roh. Ein bischen störend war die ständige türkische Musik. Etwas abwechselnd wäre netter gewesen.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und aufmerksam! Es gibt einen schönen Außenbereich. Preise sind auch völlig in Ordnung. Der Maximilian Burger ist sehr zu empfehlen.

20 Minuten gewartet, keine Bedienung gekommen. Keine Karten am Tisch, Tische voll mit alten Gläsern. Wir sind dann weiter in die nächste Bar. Für Samstag Abend viel zu wenig Bedienungen. Definitiv nicht zu empfehlen!!!

Durch eine Kollegin sind wir zum einkehren ins maxis. Soweit war das personal nett aber das essen kam erst nach ca 50 min. Ich hatte einen Burger und dieser war nicht gut gemacht, vom Geschmack her kam er einem Aldi bastel-set sehr nah. Die Pommes waren trocken und nicht zu empfehlen aber auch die potatos waren nicht gut. Insgesamt nicht lohnenswert

Eher zufällig fanden wir das Restaurant Maximilian auf der Durchreise. Zunächst waren wir schwer überrascht über die Abmessungen des Lokals. Mit 200 Sitzplätzen im Inneren und noch 110 Sitzen im Außenbereich hat man viel Potential. Der sehr freundliche Service half dann weiter bei der Bestellung. Alles bestens. Besonders der Fitness-Salat mit frischer Mango war ein Gedicht. Sehr empfehlenswert.
