We celebrated our civil wedding at the Gartenheim Laupheim and are absolutely thrilled. From the very beginning, Marko was incredibly friendly and helpful, and even supported us in the planning. We were able to use the large room and decorate it exactly as we wanted – it was perfect for us. The food was fantastic: We had a buffet that was constantly refilled. They always made sure everything remained appetizing and fresh, with no leftovers. Our guests were just as thrilled as we were! The service was also top-notch – attentive, warm, and perfectly organized. We were able to listen to music and simply celebrate exactly the way we wanted. We really have no complaints and can highly recommend the Gartenheim Laupheim for both dining and celebrations. It was a perfect day from start to finish. A huge thank you to Marko and the entire team – you did a wonderful job! 🥰

Very good food with a good price-to-quality ratio. Both Croatian and Swabian cuisine are well served here. The quality of the food is very high, and the service and owner are very friendly and accommodating. There's comfortable seating both inside and outside, there's no time pressure, and the ambiance is cozy, although the interior is a bit bare. It has a bit of a cafeteria feel to it; some more decor, pictures, or something similar would really benefit the space. But that's just complaining at a high level. We'd be happy to come back in a larger group.

We (four people) can't understand the good reviews at all. We were passing through and stopped briefly for a bite to eat. The good reviews were tempting, but what we got recently found its way onto our "worst food" list. Dry, disgusting, poorly seasoned, overcooked, greasy, mostly fried. So why 2 stars? The food only gets one star. But the chef was partially accommodating and partially found a solution (which went like this: two dishes were removed from the bill, most of which weren't even touched). Unfortunately, they made us wait almost 30 minutes for a solution. Now all the other kitchens are closed, so we're mostly continuing on empty stomachs. Never again for us.

We've been there a few times for dinner, but what we were served yesterday was simply outrageous. We ordered a Cordon Bleu with spaetzle and sauce, priced just under €20. They served some unidentifiable noodles: thin and long, nothing like homemade spaetzle. The sauce was the height of outrageousness. It was a packet of sauce that tasted artificial and simply disgusting, thick and inedible. Serving something like that and then charging for it is simply unacceptable. The carrot salad was also sour, and you couldn't tell if everything was okay with it. Two people in our group ended up throwing up two hours later. Conclusion: Never again!!!

Beautiful garden restaurant, found by chance online. Very busy, and there's also a small playground for children within sight of the terrace. So everyone gets their money's worth. The food is good. They serve Balkan dishes. You can't complain! The taste is good, could be a bit more spicy, but it's very edible. The portions are very generous! You'll be well-filled!

Visually the restaurant is quite nice. Unfortunately not the food. Four of us ate there. The children's portion for €12.50 had almost no fries. The schnitzel there was ok. The stuffed minced steak was not good. What was there was supposed to be potato wedges. Plus everything was extremely greasy. My wife's rice was completely overcooked. It was more of a porridge, the rice grains were no longer noticeable. Waiter was nice.

UPDATE: Despite booking by email (I'm still waiting for confirmation today and could only get something by phone) we were given makeshift accommodation. The food we ordered was OK for that evening, but comments about the rice being completely overcooked were dismissed with “everyone cooks according to their own recipe!” NO, it was completely overcooked and prepared in large quantities and has nothing to do with a recipe, so you should think something in the direction of the customer and not offer mass-produced goods. Offering a salad in a mini bowl to make it difficult for the guest to cut it up is also difficult. As in times past, do this on a wide, hospitable plate. Unfortunately, I'm a little disappointed at the moment and am deducting a star. In detail: Unfortunately, you move away from the hospitable cuisine of the Balkans and deal with the guests with subtle answers. For me, you are missing the flair of bygone times and have not changed anything innovatively to the menu and have just adopted it from all of its predecessors. Even if you have criticism, you can't respond to the customer or counteract it with a schnapps. Please stick to your roots and maintain your culture. The portions are huge, excellently prepared, seasoned just right and beautifully presented. And at very moderate prices. Very friendly service! In summer there is a very nice beer garden where you can sit perfectly. I can only warmly recommend it to anyone who likes Balkan and home-style cuisine. However, it is advisable to call in advance and make a reservation if necessary.

Today my wife and I visited this restaurant for the first time. What can I say, not for the last time. The first impression in the “fireplace room” was okay. The slightly worn bench...a sign of many guests? But uncertainty on our part turned into enthusiasm! Very nice and friendly service, not a long waiting time and best of all, a very tasty meal and dessert. Although there was a family celebration going on in the main room, there were no criticisms. We went there 3 weeks ago at the suggestion of reviews from Dr. Google... nice, clean, friendly, food as it should be, but as always I'm not picky and honest, but if I don't like something I'll write it down and my only criticism here is the salad bowls, I think not practical... flatter ones would be better... I will recommend the garden home and we will 100% come back... by the way, as long as we were there there was a lot of coming and going... that says a lot... further so

Super cozy next to an allotment garden. If you feel like it, you can order delicious Balkan dishes here. Otherwise there is also Swabian or good bourgeois. All dishes were top and tasted very good. The portions were absolutely sufficient, making it a very good price-performance ratio. Staff and owner very friendly and accommodating. That's just how people from Serbia are. I have a clear recommendation here. We will come back.

I just wanted a breaded schnitzel again. I received two schnitzels, probably ready-made from the fry. Mini-sized side salad, slightly shriveled cucumbers, yogurt marinade without any kick. Spaetzle could have been homemade, but it certainly wasn't from the day. Sauce is definitely a finished product. I was full, it wasn't good, it was okay. Price acceptable at 15.50. No repeat factor. Will try another Balkan dish another time... Hope there is more commitment behind it...

Die Gaststätte ist auch sehr als Hochzeitslocation zu empfehlen. Sehr kooperatives Personal und super leckeres Essen nach den Wünschen des Brautpaars. Es hat allen (Alter 12-90 Jahre) geschmeckt. 100% Weiterempfehlung!

Soweit alles OK, mehr aber nicht!!

Wir waren mit Freunden zum Essen und kamen auf Empfehlung. Für uns der totale Reinfall. Wenn die Kartoffelchips das Schmackhafteste waren ist schon alles gesagt. Die Raznjici (Fleischspieße) waren zart aber mit Dill gewürzt (hat mit dem Original nichts gemeinsam). Die Cevapcici und die Pljeskavica hatten einen eigenartigen Beigeschmack und der Reis war sehr fade. Dazu gab es mini Salatschälchen (Puddingbechergroß). Das Highlight war die Čorba für 6,50 € in der kleinsten Suppentasse die ich je gesehen habe. Die Bedienung war freundlich aber mit den 8 Gästen des Abends total überfordert. Trotz Aufforderung kein Besteck und kein Salz/Pfeffer gebracht. Wir haben uns dann selber versorgt. Wir werden definitiv nicht wieder kommen.
