I actually debated whether I should write something or not. But these days, going out to eat for almost 60 euros and not being satisfied shouldn't happen. You can see what we ate in the pictures. The sausage salad was good, but that was it. The asparagus soup was a creamy soup that almost made you sick. The waitress said that was the apprentice's doing it. Why don't they check the food before it's served? The cress on it was much too overpowering. Now for the schnitzel, it had no taste and was not souffléd at all. The meat itself was not of any great quality either. We don't go there often, but we've had complaints three times in a row. Last but not least, they gave us a discount on one of the soups 😏 ridiculous. I won't even mention the wait.

Probably the best guesthouse I have experienced so far in the Lake Constance region. This is mainly due to the great location with a breathtaking view over Lake Constance. Plus excellent food and nice service. The prices are a bit higher than usual, but understandable given this view and ambience. However, the parking situation can be a challenge when the weather is nice (when there is a lot going on there are not enough parking spaces and you have to park on a narrow street). Our lunch here on Mother's Day in fantastic weather will definitely be remembered. Simply brilliant. I'll definitely come back.

We were guests at a larger event of around 200 people and felt very well looked after right from the start. The service was extremely friendly, attentive and professional – not a given for such a large group. The buffet was excellent: varied, very tasty and always well filled, so that there were never any long waiting times. The house beer – especially the light one – also impressed us and rounded off the evening perfectly. The location itself is beautifully located, with idyllic views of the lake and a relaxed, inviting atmosphere - ideal for parties, celebrations or larger groups. We were completely satisfied and can recommend the Max & Moritz brewery without reservation!

Very nicely located restaurant. Great view from the windows and from the terrace. There are a lot of places but you should still make a reservation.

Brewery with local gastronomy. Very friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere with a fantastic view of the lake. The food is always great with generous portions. Wednesday is spareribs day, fresh from the grill - simply delicious. There is also an all-you-can-eat version for those who are really hungry. We always enjoy coming back. Reservation is easy online. Without a reservation you need a lot of luck to get a free table.

After 24 years apart, we were finally back in this great house on May 3rd, 2025. Table reservation very, very friendly. Excellent value for money. Staff very friendly. I can really recommend it and we will be happy to come back when the opportunity arises. By the way, you can go hiking in the area for digestion.

Very nicely located restaurant. Were not satisfied with the service. The lady poured my water from the bottle into the glass so roughly that some ended up on the table and my hand. Food was a bit disappointing, quality and quantity didn't match the price. Location is very nice.

The restaurant was highly recommended to us, and what can you say, "PERFECT" The food was super tasty and was served very quickly despite the hut being full. The staff was very friendly and well placed. The atmosphere was very nice with a great view of the lake. We'll definitely come back.

It's easy to go there. Food was okay, decent portions, but nothing special. My Maultaschen could have been warmer. The best part was the dessert. The staff was nice and attentive, we just had to wait a little longer in between. This is probably also due to the fact that the restaurant is geared towards many guests. Overall, a visit with 4 stars is recommended.

We were there on Easter Sunday as a family of 9 people. An amazing view is the icing on the cake of everything else. The staff, the food, the organization - despite the amount of people is fabulous. We'll definitely be back.

We booked a table for three people at 6 p.m. on Sunday. Finding a parking space was difficult; everything was full of parking, so we had to park a little further away in the vineyard. When we walked in we were immediately assigned a table. Despite the busy economy, the drinks came quickly and the food came soon. The economy is rustic, as befits a brewery. There is a large terrace where you have a wonderful view of Lake Constance. The food was overall very good. The prices are a bit borderline. All in all we were very satisfied and will definitely come back.

04/14/25 around 3 p.m., super nice service staff. Had an onion roast with fried potatoes and salad. The steak was on point and the side dishes were plentiful, it was all super tasty 😋 for dessert there was homemade tiramisu (tasty, but the espresso taste could have been stronger) but all in all worth another visit

We went there for dinner with friends - the view is great. The service had a lot of stress due to the high number of visitors - the food corresponds to the number of visitors and is quite expensive The ice cream was best for dessert

The location is of course unbeatable, but you can't reserve a window seat. It's best to be there at 12 (with reservation!). The food is good craftsmanship, but you don't need to come just for the food. It's a bit of a mass production. My wife's meat was half over-salted and my cheese spaetzle was too compact for my liking. If I'm in the area again, I would definitely come again. Don't go there just for that reason.

Food would be served very quickly and the children could paint. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great for the view.

So service was good, the ambience was really great, but I wasn't happy with the food at these prices. Personally, I think a grill plate for just under 28 euros with three half steaks on it is not enough, but then adding frozen croquettes on top of that, so I don't know. I accept the price but the food should definitely be better. The steaks were also very boring, anyone can do that at home. Conclusion: ambience yes, service yes and it's best to bring something to eat from home then everything will be fine 👍😃

A real highlight on Lake Constance! The Max and Moritz Restaurant impressed me completely. There is a huge rush and a table reservation is definitely recommended. Particularly noteworthy is the kitchen, which is open all day - a real plus for guests with flexible meal times. I can only warmly recommend the beer, and the culinary highlights left nothing to be desired: the prawns in garlic butter as a starter were excellent, and the salad with beef steak impressed with its absolute freshness and excellent taste. What has unfortunately become a rarity these days: The staff impresses with their exceptional friendliness and commitment - so people are happy to tip a little more! Payment is also easy and cashless payment is of course possible. A small note: Since the restaurant is very busy, the parking space available despite its size could become scarce at peak times. Depending on where you sit, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of Lake Constance - another reason to visit this excellent restaurant. Conclusion: I'll definitely be back!

We've been coming here for ribs on Wednesdays for a long time - unfortunately we found out today that a lot has changed on the menu. The ribs are less, suddenly have fries and the taste was a disappointment compared to usual. Don't come here anymore

First of all: the dishes here were all very tasty - the portions were also decent. While everything worked perfectly last year, a lot went wrong during our visit yesterday (3/8/25): Although we sent the orders for just over 30 people by email in the morning, we had to wait a long time for our food. Individual orders were also forgotten, so that a few people in our group still had no food when others had long since finished eating. This was particularly unfortunate because it meant that our bus driver was unable to keep to his driving times. We saw last year that things can be done differently here, when everything worked out in an exemplary manner.

I was only there to drink and can't rate the food badly, but the place was very busy at lunchtime and the food looked fantastic and well prepared. Since I come from the restaurant industry myself, I can say the service is very good despite the fact that it is very busy and the view and the beer are impressive. Next time we will also eat something.

Locale tipico, datato il giusto, ma molto rumoroso. Il piatto per due persone con stinco , verdure e patate molto buono e abbondante. Camerieri molto gentili e simpatico. Birra berlinese ok.

Nice German restaurant. I tried the käsespätzle and the portion was very big. It was good, maybe I would have preferred smaller in quantity but more cheesy. As dessert I took the fried apples with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream, it was very good.

Basically everything is great, recommended and particularly child-friendly, BUT… I find 2.90 euros for 0.2 liters of tap water for children to be outrageously expensive. Unfortunately, that dampened the good mood when it came to the bill. At the same time, as far as I remember, a scoop of ice cream with a waffle only cost 1.xx euros. Maybe next time I'll take a coffee for myself, expect a glass of tap water and give that to my child ;)

A great location with a beautiful view over Kressbronn and the lake and the Alben. The food is very tasty and great service. There are always events. The place is also recommended for your own celebrations and festivities. The whole thing is rounded off with an in-house brewery.

Simply wonderful! Or just as a couple, or with children, work colleagues, with family... The atmosphere is suitable for everyone. For families with children especially, there is a children's corner, playground, crayons for painting... Would happily recommend!

Instead we got a table in the “heated” beer garden, which turned out to be a rather drafty corner with cold metal garden tables. The ambience was not very inviting and the service seemed not to be trying to find a solution. It's a shame - with a little more flexibility the evening could have been more pleasant.

Wir (4 Erw. + 1 Kind 11 Jahre) waren dort beim Abendessen. Wir kannten das Restaurant noch von unserem letzten Urlaub am Bodensee und waren damals schon sehr zufrieden, daher sind wir hier nochmals Essen gegangen. Das Essen war wirklich wie damals sehr lecker und die Portionen gut. Das Ambiente innen war super gemütlich und der Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Das Essen ist das Typische in einem Braugasthof. Preis/Leistung passt und wenn man fragt, kann man prima mit dem WOMO auf dem Parkplatz stehen. Ich bin kein Vielesser, aber die Portionsgröße war schon grenzwertig. Wir würden aber trotzdem wieder hingehen, weils einfach passt. Reservieren ist nötig.

We often go to the Max and Moritz brewery with friends, and it's always a pleasure! The food is always great, the quality is consistently great. But the best thing is waitress Hilde – she makes every visit special! With her warm and attentive manner, she ensures that we feel completely comfortable. It is simply great and gives every evening that certain something extra. In short: delicious food, great service – and always an experience with Hilde! Absolutely recommended!

We were last there with friends. The evening was great, the atmosphere in the room was good and the restaurant was almost full. In winter, of course, we didn't have much of the great Lake Constance panorama - logical. But we were able to enjoy the cozy wooden ambience in the inn. The food was good and the portions were appropriate. The Max and Moritz beer is also great to drink. Unfortunately, we have to make compromises when it comes to service. The older lady generally served us well and stopped by often, but somehow she gave us a rather moody impression and seemed a bit grumpy. There's something else going on! When we looked at the menu, we held back a bit: it was pretty expensive! We paid around 250 euros for 4 adults and 4 small children. 4 main courses with soft drink or beer, 4 children's plates with fries and nuggets, plus a scoop of ice cream and another 2-3 drinks extra. Conclusion: We actually really liked it, but the friendliness of the staff could be improved, at least that evening, and I think the prices are too high.

Sehr gutes Essen in einem tollen Reataurant. Im Sonmer hat man hier einen schönen Seeblick. Im Winter sitzt man eben drinnen. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne. Nette und freundliche Bedienung.

The brewery, which is located on a mountain, overlooking Lake Constance. In good weather there is a beautiful landscape. I liked the atmosphere. Beautiful interior. Food : ordered a signature dish, but I wouldn't call it a signature dish. In my opinion, very simple. The steaks were dry. Service: the hostess is very polite and polite. We sat down at a table without a reservation, without waiting in line. He did not like the bartender at all. We asked for one drink, they made a completely different one, after asking to replace it, the bartender's face was so satisfied, as if we asked him to warm up our beer, although we asked simply to pour hot water into the syrup for the baby. The waiters are nice and polite.

A dream and recommended to everyone. The home-brewed beer is excellent. Our chosen dishes were prepared quickly and delicious. The service was very polite and courteous, we felt very valued and at home :-) Highly recommended. Also a good address with children. There is a games room and a great outdoor area in summer. Always happy again - keep it up!

Making a reservation on Christmas Day worked great. We were here with 8 people and everyone enjoyed it and we were very satisfied. The service was friendly and attentive and all the food came almost at the same time even though the restaurant was busy. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately I had a very disappointing experience today, we have been regular guests for years and come from further afield. We have always been satisfied so far. Unfortunately, criticism is not handled very well here. I had ordered a goose leg with dumplings, the food came only slightly warmed and the dumplings were completely raw and cold inside. Upon polite advice, new dumplings arrived, unfortunately raw again. This really made me uncomfortable and I politely pointed it out again and even apologized. (Which is theoretically not necessary) €27 is a lot of money and I think it's justified to politely point out raw food. Unfortunately, the waitress immediately became bitchy and told me that it had to be that way. I ate some red cabbage and nothing else and when I asked I only got a 20% discount because supposedly most of the food was eaten (which wasn't the case) and even if I would give it all back even though it was cooked (strange argument ) I hardly ate anything and after everyone else was finished I no longer had any appetite. I am very disappointed. I never criticize and am disappointed to receive such a reaction. Unfortunately, I have no comparison of how things would have gone elsewhere. But I would have liked more goodwill. The good tips and recommendations, however, were always very welcome. I'm not even angry, but I'm really disappointed that so little is given to regular customers. This has a bitter aftertaste and I really hope that I can get rid of it again by the next vacation. Until now, no vacation was possible without a visit here. At the moment I'm not so sure :(

We ordered käsespätzle to take away, two stars because the portion was really HUGE. For the taste, preferably zero :( had heard so many good things about this restaurant that we drove 40 kilometers just for the cheese spaetzle, unfortunately we didn't taste any cheese at all, and the onions were also absolutely tasteless. As if you were eating normal dry spaetzle :( were really very disappointed
