Delicious food with good service and a pleasant atmosphere. Vegetarians are better off going elsewhere. While the vegetarian options are good here too, the prices are disproportionately high compared to the meat dishes. Almost €20 for fried rice with vegetables is downright outrageous.

I only gave it two stars, and I'll start right away with "the food is good." That sounds strange, but please read to the end: It was the first time the two of us had spent New Year's Eve at the Maui. We booked the New Year's Eve menu for €99 per person. For that price, we received a pleasant welcome in a lovely restaurant. The four-course menu included a welcome drink—a 0.1-liter glass of Prosecco. After that, we were supposed to enjoy a series of enticing courses as a sharing menu. The starter was good: a platter with two shrimp, two dumplings, edamame, prawn crackers, and two pieces of chicken. The second course was pho soup each, and the main course was a plate with a tiny piece of beef, some rather dry sea bream, a vegetable skewer, marinated chicken, and some rice. Dessert was supposed to be a platter with mochi ice cream, coconut panakotta, flambéed pineapple, and ice cream. But we didn't get to that. More on that in a moment. ... Yes, the food wasn't bad, though some of it definitely wasn't homemade. The menu offers a four-course meal for €53. Why the menu cost €99? No idea – oh yes, the water was free and there was a glass of Prosecco. All other cocktails cost between €9 and €12. A 0.2-liter glass of wine from Rhineland-Palatinate was €10.90. So, all in all, quite expensive. Now the problem: shortly before 11:00 p.m., we were informed that we would have to eat our courses more quickly, as they would be closing between 11:00 and 11:30 p.m. Like on New Year's Eve? Yes, exactly, they should have told us that on the ticket and such. How? Where? Text from the website: "FAQ – New Year's Eve 2025/2026 at MAUI Nymphenburg": 4. Can I stay at MAUI Nymphenburg after midnight? Yes. Guests are welcome to enjoy a relaxed end to their stay. There is no rushed "end to the evening." Before we ended up on the street in sub-zero temperatures, dressed in the "stylish attire" required by the ticket, I had the dessert packed up and we quickly took a taxi home. So we ended up with some soggy, tasteless panna cotta and two small chocolate cakes with a soft center – store-bought. We declined the offer to spontaneously switch to the owner's second restaurant by subway between 11:30 and midnight at Odeonsplatz, right on Munich's main party mile. As compensation for the "misunderstanding," they waived the €30 charge for drinks. According to the owner, all guests were aware of this – odd, though, that the next table looked bewildered and immediately canceled their cocktail order. For us: Never again Maui! Our New Year's Eve was a complete disappointment.

We had dinner here and had a really lovely evening. For us, it's one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Munich, especially in Nymphenburg. The Vietnamese cuisine is fresh, aromatic, and very well-balanced, complemented by attentive service and a pleasant atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

We ate here and were thrilled. The Hawaiian-Vietnamese cuisine is something special. For starters, we had salmon tacos – incredibly delicious and perfectly balanced. The main course was also very tasty. The service was super friendly and attentive. The cocktails deserve special mention: not only delicious but also beautifully presented. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant.

We spontaneously decided to eat there on New Year's Eve. We received a very warm welcome. The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere is highly recommended. In my opinion, it's one of the best restaurants in Munich, offering light fare with generously sized portions. The cocktails are also excellent, and the service is top-notch.

We visited MAUI – Hawaiian & Vietnamese Restaurant in Munich-Nymphenburg yesterday and were absolutely delighted. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and courteous without being intrusive. We especially loved the stylish, cozy atmosphere, where you immediately feel at ease. We had made a reservation in advance and weren't initially thrilled with our table – however, moving to another one was completely hassle-free and done with a smile. That alone demonstrates how service-oriented the team is. The food was outstanding – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell that they place great emphasis on quality and taste. In short: A fantastic restaurant with excellent service, superb food, and a relaxed atmosphere.

The food there is simply heavenly. We've been there several times now and have always found something delicious. Unfortunately, I also have to say that the portions are getting smaller and the prices are quite steep. If you're really hungry, you should probably eat something else beforehand and then go there, because otherwise you'll end up paying a lot! But otherwise, everything is great, and the atmosphere is lovely. The only thing that bothered me was that the seating arrangements weren't properly planned one day, and we were moved to a different location mid-meal. That unfortunately negatively impacted my experience, and I was a bit annoyed. As a customer, I can't be held responsible if the restaurant plans the tables poorly. But otherwise, it's always worth a visit.

Unfortunately, this restaurant is not recommended for company parties. While the food is good, the restaurant is completely overwhelmed by the task of organizing an event for 20 people. Pre-arranged details were not known on-site. The tables were not set for the correct number of guests, the restaurant did not know what had been ordered, and the agreed-upon payment terms were not adhered to. I would not recommend this restaurant to any company group.

One of best restaurants in Munich in my opinion. Super friendly staff, delicious food and calm atmosphere. Can definitely recommend nr. 93 "Entrecôte on fire" from the menu.

I spontaneously decided to eat there. It's a very nice bar/restaurant with a special atmosphere. The service was very attentive and courteous. The menu is varied without being too extensive. The prices are okay, but not exactly a bargain. I can recommend the bowls. I'd gladly go back if I'm ever in Munich again.

A delicious and unique dining spot in Nymphenburg! My visit to MAUI Restaurant in Nymphenburg was truly excellent. The mix of Hawaiian and Vietnamese cuisine is unique in Munich and every dish tasted fresh, flavorful, and well balanced. The service was warm, fast, and very attentive. The tropical, cozy atmosphere near Rotkreuzplatz makes it perfect for lunch, dinner, or after-work. I would gladly return and can highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys flavorful, modern Asian cuisine in Munich.

I'm a regular here and come at least once a month. It's one of the best restaurants in Munich. The food is excellent, both in taste and presentation. What I particularly appreciate is that the service is also exceptionally good. I highly recommend the avocado tartare, the dumplings, and the Huli Huli chicken. It's perfect for both a business lunch and a date. My friends and I find the Nymphenburg branch significantly tastier than the one at Ludwigspalais, even though it's the same menu. Absolutely top recommendation!

The ambiance was very nice and we enjoyed it. It was very cozy with attractive decor. The food was almost consistently excellent, except for the Hulu Hulu chicken, which was just okay. The rice was nothing special and a bit hard around the edges, and the chicken was alright. My girlfriend, however, enjoyed it, apart from the rice. The service... Everyone was very friendly. The only female server was also very good and managed to cover for some of her colleagues' mistakes. However, she wasn't assigned to our table and therefore only came to our table occasionally. Otherwise, there were several errors and the service wasn't commensurate with the price and ambiance. Placing our order took quite a while. Then the waiter came back to inform us that they had run out of Hawaiian beer. It was 6:30 pm. They had only been open for an hour. Then we were moved because there had been a seating error and they wanted to push two tables together. Then the side dish for one of our meals was forgotten and placed in front of us even though the main course was already finished. At the next table, drinks were mixed up and brought to the table without straws. Minor mistakes throughout the evening.

We had our "Christmas party/team celebration" with 15 people. The service was super attentive and friendly. The food (we had mixed appetizer platters – regular and vegetarian, as well as Maui Wowie's table grill – also vegetarian and meaty/fishy) was super delicious and varied. A+ – we'd go back anytime.

Cool place, very busy even during the week. You sit relatively close to the other guests. The menu is very promising, with an interesting selection of fusion dishes. Unfortunately, the kitchen doesn't live up to its own high standards. I had the fried rice with shrimp in a half pineapple with truffled sauce. In the end, I got a mini pineapple filled with about three spoonfuls of fried rice and a few mini frozen shrimp. There was no taste of truffle or pineapple sweetness. Accordingly, I was finished after a few minutes, unfortunately not satisfied. This dish is the most expensive single item on the menu, and the result was a serious disappointment. My comment to the friendly waitress was taken into account, but without consequence. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience for me. My companion enjoyed a vegetarian dish (for the sake of completeness).

Exceptional, exceeded expectations. They took a while to serve, but it exceeded expectations. We ordered grilled salmon with vegetables and rice, and beef with vegetables and slightly spicy rice. A beer and an ibis cocktail, which I really liked. Everything was tasty and healthy. I wouldn't recommend this place if you don't like vegetables and can't eat everything. The decor was spectacular, and the service was excellent.

What a lovely evening. A large staff, and everyone was exceptionally friendly. The food arrived very quickly, and seven of us were able to start eating at the same time. We only made the reservation that morning using the online tool. It initially said "waiting list"... but the call came promptly. We moved the time by 30 minutes, and we were seated right away. All the dishes were truly excellent. We will definitely be back.

Maui at Rotkreuzplatz is my absolute favorite when it comes to dining in Munich. The dishes are super delicious, freshly cooked, and made with real love. The ambiance is modern and cozy – you immediately feel at home. The drinks are also great; in my opinion, it's one of the best bars with cocktails in Munich. A beautifully decorated restaurant with a large selection of Hawaiian dishes. The service was very attentive. Unfortunately, we were seated in a somewhat cramped corner in an almost completely empty restaurant. However, we won't lose a star for that, as the food, including dessert, more than made up for it. The loco loco was excellent, albeit a bit different from the traditional loco moco. Nevertheless, it was very tasty and I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

We sat outside under parasols, or rather against the wall of the building. It was very nice, and the server was prompt and very attentive. The food was excellent. I found the non-alcoholic strawberry lemonade a bit more expensive for the amount it contained, but the taste was excellent.

A beautifully decorated restaurant near Rotkreuzplatz with extremely polite and courteous staff. Excellent service, delicious drinks, and the food is second to none! We love Asian food and often eat there, and Maui offers a wide variety of dishes that reflect Hawaii's history. Everything was simply delicious; I'd especially like to emphasize that we've never enjoyed such tender, delicious tofu. We'll definitely be back!

The ambiance and decor were lovely and the baos were delicious. The bowl was unfortunately completely tasteless (did someone forget the dressing for the BBQ tofu?), and the service ranged from very attentive to "absolutely not." What shocked us most was the behavior of the waitress who brought the food. As we were setting down the two plates, a piece of summer roll tumbled onto the table. She didn't apologize, but instead asked if I could push the piece back onto the plate with my fork—she said she didn't want to do it with her hands because they were dirty. Irritated, I placed the piece on the edge of the plate with my hand and said, "We're not going to eat this anymore anyway." An appetizer like that costs around €10, and if one of the six pieces leaves the plate without making it into the mouth, I would consider an "apology" at the very least appropriate. The waitress's behavior was truly unacceptable: no replacement, no apology, no discount. Of course, something might fly off the plate while waiting for the waiter—especially when it's suddenly busy and hectic because it's raining heavily outside—but it was a one-time experience, and I won't be coming back. We wanted to have a nice evening, and it was simply disappointing to experience such poor service. What a shame.

But for the price, there's a bit too much rice and too few other ingredients. There's room for improvement here. The place was packed on Tuesday. But after 9:00 PM, it became noticeably emptier, and service was sporadic.

Today I had lunch at MAUI for the first time, after some friends recommended this restaurant to me. As soon as you enter, the restaurant makes a very good first impression; a beautifully decorated and colorful place that puts a smile on your face from the very first moment. The menu is extensive and varied, but I focused on the lunch menu options, which were equally varied and delicious. In the end, we chose the Thursday set menu with duck in peanut sauce and the Hanoi menu with a choice of miso soup, lemongrass chicken, and panna cotta. All delicious with fresh and excellently prepared side dishes. Very friendly and accommodating staff. I will be back very soon to try many new dishes!

Based on a recommendation, I went there with business associates for dinner. It's definitely a recommendation. Hawaiian cuisine is similar to Asian cuisine, but overall more colorful and healthier. The dishes are decorated with edible flowers, and everything looks very appealing. The only downside is that, as is typical in Munich, the parking situation is rather difficult. However, the restaurant is very easy to reach by public transport.

An Asian/Hawaiian restaurant with a unique ambiance and a wide selection of food and drinks. The cocktails are excellent, as is the quality and quantity of the dishes on offer. The excellent 4-course menu costs €49. The Maui is ideal for a romantic evening for two as well as for smaller groups of up to 8 people! Unfortunately, the service during our visit was lacking in presence and engagement.
