Munich arrogance par excellence. Admittedly, a very successful atmosphere, but unfortunately in connection with below-average food and unpleasant service staff. We were left standing at the entrance unnoticed for a while, then more or less pushed to the side, before one of the employees passing by finally approached us and took us to our table. As already mentioned, the space and the overall ambience were really nice. When we ordered we were looked at in disbelief as we each chose our own starters and main courses. “We have a sharing concept [sic!],” we were shouted at, without further explanation. Only after several questions was it explained in broken German what exactly was meant. Apparently it was extremely difficult to serve two different dishes at the same time. Only long-term demand in the kitchen made this possible in exceptional cases. Very irritating. For the choice of drinks. I would describe myself as an average wine connoisseur. When I ordered, the waiter in question explicitly "corrected" me when it came to the pronunciation of a wine name, with either broken German or simply an unusual accent (it couldn't be classified exactly). By the way, the “correction” he presented like a senior teacher was simply wrong. Unpleasant. Finally the food was average. Not bad, but not really good either, especially for this class of restaurant. The taste is boring, the look is standard. I would almost say that I don't get something similar on every street corner, but it's exactly the same within several blocks. Given this, the prices just seem exorbitant to me. The only exception is dessert. It was really good craftsmanship and taste. In summary: A top-class restaurant that "rests" on its name or brand, but unfortunately only the prices and the ambience can actually be assigned to the top segment.

Excellent service, signature Nobu miso cod was overcooked, I was a regular at their Malibu location so i expected to have their signature dish cooked perfectly no matter the location I go to. Also the wagyu was slightly overcooked to almost a medium rather than a medium rare that it should be served at. Service was 100% excellent and attentive and you forget you’re in Germany and transported to another world in that aspect. Very attentive and sweet waitress. Signature hamachi was as expected and very delicious but the toro with caviar didn’t need so much soy as it took away from the toro, I tried to pour the soy out to just enjoy the toro.

Not recommended. All in all 1-2 stars. Food good, but not outstanding for the price. Service absolutely underground. I had ordered lobster, which came, but the side dish only came about 8 minutes later after asking the waiter. Of course the lobster wasn't particularly hot anymore. Next example, when I asked, I was assured that the beer really comes from Tsingtao. End of the song, unfortunately came from Freising. I would generally give service two stars, but in fine dining one star is far too much. All in all: Food ok Ambiance ok Service very bad. P.S. It's been a while since we visited, but it's probably better now.

Dieses Restaurant hat mit den NOBU Restaurant, die ich schon besuchte habe -Hongkong, Monte Carlo und New York nichts zu tun. Warum nicht? Das Ambiente ist wie bei NOBU üblich. Die Akustik ist sehr schlecht, man hört alle Tischgespräche im Restaurant. Ein Restaurant kann sich seine Gäste in der Regel nicht aussuchen, aber im Interesse aller Gäste für eine gewisse Ordnung sorgen. Die Mobil phones laufen laut an den Tischen, es wird lauthals telefoniert. Gäste laufen mit den Weingläser bis in die Toilette, sehr „angenehm“. So etwas lässt sich unterbinden. Das alles ist schon ein Stimmungsdämpfer. Die Speisekarte ist unübersichtlich, die Anzahl der Sushi ist nicht benannt, so muss immer nachgefragt werden. Die California Rolls waren mittelmäßig, das warme Hauptgericht wurde serviert, da waren die Rolls noch nicht aufgegessen. Auf meine Vorhaltung hin, wurde es wieder entfernt und nach warmstellen wieder serviert. Die Service Dame entgegnete auf meine Vorhaltung, das der Hauptgang serviert wird, obwohl die Vorspeise noch nicht gegessen sei mit der Begründung, der Nachbartisch mit Kindern hätte schnell essen wollen!!!!! Alles in Allem, nicht zu empfehlen. Schade das das Mandarin Oriental Hotel so etwas toleriert. Ich hätte besser einige Bewertungen vorher gelesen. In der Nachbarschaft gibt es viel bessere Restaurant die Asiatische Küche mit bestem Niveau anbieten.

A very stylishly decorated Japanese restaurant. We called 5 minutes before the kitchen closed and got a table. We are very grateful for this as we had a long journey behind us. The taste of sushi couldn't be beat, and the service was first class. I will definitely come back and recommend it!

We were meant to have dinner and drinks on the roof of the Mandarin Oriental but a bad storm came over so we ended up here. The service was phenomenal and the food just as good. We enjoyed everything we ordered, from the cocktails, starters, mains and wine. Our waiter was warm and helpful. A very enjoyable evening.

Il locale è molto bello, curato nei minimi particolari. Tutto quello che abbiamo ordinato è stato squisito. Una menzione particolare ai Crispy rice, ai sushi rolls con salmon skin e ai nigiri di ventresca. Superlativi! A rendere unica l’esperienza i cocktail preparati sapientemente da Riccardo che, con professionalità e simpatia, ha saputo consigliarci e guidarci negli abbinamenti. Siamo state talmente bene che abbiamo deciso di ritornarci anche il giorno dopo! E ancora torneremo.

Great dinner, Japanese/Peruvian at the highest level!! The quality of the dishes and foods were excellent, black cod, sashimi and nigiri with the finest fish and the other dishes were really outstanding with the exception of one meat course (too spicy). The food is priced appropriately for the quality, the drinks (e.g. the Yuzu Sprizz at 20.00) are too expensive. Unfortunately, when the restaurant is full, it gets a bit too noisy because there is no sound insulation, so you often had to ask for information about dishes, but service was always present. a great evening!

Food and service were good. We ate across the menu and thought the sharing concept was great. However, I didn't like the atmosphere. Very loud acoustics and uncomfortable atmosphere. You have to speak very loudly all evening to be understood. What was also negative was the dress code of the guests. If I'm sitting at dinner in a 5-star hotel and all the guests show up in sportswear, shorts and flip-flops, then for me it has nothing to do with an upscale restaurant. All in all, I would refrain from visiting again because the feel-good factor simply doesn't exist here.

The two of us had a menu with the signature menu with 7 dishes each, champagne and wine. We have been there for a business dinner to celebrate a special occasion. Money spent per Person: +250,- (total +500) Food: 5 - excellent - sushi (6-7 pieces arranged as a journey from left to right)and dessert (tiramisu German style) stood out Service: 3 - 0,5 star: very brief descriptions of the menu dishes. My colleague answered many of my questions. - 0,5 star: steak served overdone (well done instead of medium, or medium instead of medium rare) - 0,5 star: sometimes long wait times between dishes -0,5 star: I had pre-payed the Menu and for now only got an invoice for the extra drinks during the evening (68 + 40 tip). did not yet get any invoice for the whole dinner yet >500,-). Atmosphere: 2,5 -1 star: loud music like in a bar … too loud for me personally, reminded me of a bar atmosphere: but the bar is a level below right? - 1,5 star: hard to understand each other or the waiter … a big family with 3 small children has been placed just next to us/ our communicated business dinner for 2 in the middle of our menu. We had to speak louder and lean forward to understand each other. The other table next to us was almost „quite“ in comparison. … not recommended for dinners for two, - ..business dinners or - ..romantic dinners Thanks for the excellent food, will recommend this location for rounds of 3-4 as kindof pre party location, if very nice food and champagne / wine and cool vibes with popular music is important before going to a party. Great ori bar is in the same building.

On a rainy Sunday we were looking forward to a lovely evening at Matsuhisa with delicious sushi and a great ambience. We were greeted warmly and shown to the table. As soon as we sat down we were informed that we had to leave the table promptly at 8 p.m. because the reservation was only for 2 hours. Dear MO team, anyone who dines in such a high-priced restaurant doesn't want to have to look at the clock every 5 minutes to see if they have enough to gulp down their food. The restaurant has a high noise level. The constant shouting like in the bazaar, which was intended to greet the new guests, is disturbing. The food was served very quickly, the staff didn't know who ordered what. The sushi was good, but nothing special. Pretty unimaginative like every sushi shop to go. At my request, a fish ceviche was quickly prepared instead of seafood for €34.00. The taste was okay, the portion was very small with large, chunky pieces of cucumber. The black cod with miso (€56.00) tasted very good, unfortunately the green asparagus (€22.00) tasted quite smoky and like meat. The service staff doesn't seem qualified. Salt and pepper were only given when asked, and some of it had already been cleaned up even though the other person hadn't finished eating yet. We left the table on time with a bill totaling over €300.00. Disappointing. My high expectations were not met, it's a real shame that the service orientation and quality are only average. I hope this feedback is used to improve, the name alone won't be enough. Positive: An employee of the restaurant asked us at the end of the evening how satisfied we were, listened very carefully and promised to pass on the feedback to the kitchen. Thanks.

Matsuhisa is located on the 1st floor or Mandarin Oriental Hotel, it is a dark furnished restaurant with tables and a bar where the sushi men do their magic. We sat at a table close to the bar. The food is excellent as you can expect for the price point charged, we had a variety of food and drinks and ended up paying €650 for four of us, certainly no bargain , but for the quality and location to be expected.

I have been to a store run by Matsuhisa in Switzerland. The name says Matsuhisa, so I went there with some expectations. I was surprised that there was only one Japanese person there, but all the dishes were very delicious. I don't drink much, so I wanted to try something different. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed the food. I thought I was a good eater, but I couldn't eat much. The amount is 200 euros. I thought it would be around 400 euros, so it was reasonable.

The service was a disaster. All drinks and food were brought every 10 minutes so that you could always watch others eat. Our waiter was unfriendly and distant and explained all the mistakes with a very condescending sentence (in bad German!): "This would be a Japanese restaurant." Rice bowl with 50g rice for 10 euros, raw vegetable spinach salad with dressing 34 euros. Soft drinks 0.2l for 8 euros. The prices weren't a problem, but in combination with substandard service and tasteless and unimaginatively prepared food, it was simply outrageous. But the main courses tasted good. 2 stars for that. The birthday cake for four people that we ordered and confirmed by phone in the afternoon turned out to be a chocolate mousse the size of a palm. Dear Management, it's not enough to just have a name. You have to deliver. It's not enough to think you're good just because Sane and Tuchel are sitting at the next table. You see them everywhere else too. So make an effort, or you'll be a thing of the past like all the other restaurants in MO. It doesn't matter to you, because you're staying! We won't be coming back and of course you don't need us either. We are aware of that.

Leider bei Weitem nicht das, was es verspricht und verdient! Wir hatten bereits vor mehreren Wochen einen Tisch für 4 Personen reserviert, um den Geburtstag unseres Sohnes gemütlich zu feiern. Wir wollten auch keine Party oder irgendeine Sonderbehandlung, sondern hatten nur einen kleinen Schokokuchen bestellt. Das wars! Natürlich hatten wir vorher die online auf der Homepage des Matsuhisa zu findenden Speisekarte angeschaut und freuten uns. Als Erstes nach der Ankunft musste man, wie in der Coronazeit, die Speisekarte als QR-Code einscannen, was bei einem Restaurant dieser Klasse und nach so langer Zeit nach Corona etwas verstörend war, aber nicht nachteilig. Uns fiel sofort auf, dass einige Stühle am Rücken verschlissen waren und manche Tische auch zerkratzt. Es gab keine gedeckten Tische, zumindest unser Tisch hatte keine Decke. Auch nicht schlimm. Es fiel auch auf, dass die eingescannte Speisekarte einige Gerichte, insbesondere aus der Vorspeise, nicht hatte, die wir online aber sehen konnten. Es fehlten die Tacos und die Mini Wagyu-Burger usw. Auf höfliche Nachfrage bei unserem sehr kühlen und distanzierten Kellner erwiderte dieser nur, dies sei ein japanisches Restaurant. Er vergaß natürlich, dass Matsuhisa sich der japanisch-peruanischen Küche verschrieben hat. Es gab somit keinerlei Vorspeisen für unsere beiden Kinder, die nun mal keinen Fisch mögen. Auf Nachfrage, ob man alternativ irgendwas als Vorspeise hätte, kam wieder die Antwort, dies sei ein japanisches Restaurant. Haben wir spätestens dann verstanden! Fabio, unser Kellner, war zudem gar nicht gesprächig, was vielleicht an seinen mangelnden Deutschkenntnissen zurückzuführen wäre, aber wir hätten auch Englisch sprechen können, wenn er danach gefragt hätte! Also begannen wir ein paar Vorspeisen, die uns genehm waren, zu bestellen: Garnelen, Tempura, Edamame Spicy und Crispy Rice mit Thunfisch. Da wir um 19:20 schon da waren und die Kinder auch keine Vorspeisen hatten, haben wir die Hauptgerichte sofort mitbestellt. Als ich Rinderfiletspieße bestellen wollte, meinte unser Kellner, diese seien kleine Portionen. Also, Problem gelöst und wir bestellten 2x Rinderfiletspieße (30 €/Portion) als Vorspeise für die Kids.  Danach 3 x Rinderfilet und eine Portion Hähnchen als Hauptspeise. Auf Nachfrage für Beilagen und Nachfrage nach Sättigungsbeilagen wiederholte unser Kellner wieder und diesmal abwertender, dass dies ein japanisches Restaurant wäre. Ok, verstanden! Plötzlich fiel ihm ein, dass sie einen Rohkost-Spinatsalat hätten, was man als Beilage essen könnte, und prompt waren wir froh, dass überhaupt etwas Positives an Empfehlungen kam und bestellten diese. Die Getränke trudelten innerhalb der nächsten 15 Minuten einzeln ein. Da fiel uns schon auf, dass es keinerlei Koordination in der Ausgabe gab. Zunächst wurde natürlich Wasser gereicht, was unser Kellner direkt bei sich am Servicecounter hatte. Dann trudelten die anderen Getränke, wie Wein, Cocktail und Softgetränke (zweimal falsch!) wirklich in 5 Minuten Abstände ein. Da waren die ersten Softgetränke (Cola 0,2 l) natürlich schon leergetrunken. Die Vorspeisen wurden genauso, jedoch in 10 10-Minuten-Abständen, gebracht. Zunächst Garnelen Tempura, dann Crispy Rice und zum Schluss nach 20 Minuten die Rinderfiletspieße. Edamame wurde gar nicht gebracht. Als wir den Kellner auf die fehlenden Edamame aufmerksam machten, meinte dieser, wir hätten es nicht bestellt. Also nochmal nachbestellt und endlich 5 Minuten später kamen die Edamame. Der Höhepunkt waren die Hauptgerichte, sie waren geschmacklich sehr gut und die Portionen ausreichend. Das Huhn war sehr gut und schmeckte saftig und zart und die Rinderfilets in Scheiben in der Portion und Geschmack gut. Dazu gab es verschiedene Saucen zur Auswahl und die waren auch gut. JEDOCH: zuerst wurde nur das Hähnchengericht gebracht! Ohne irgendein Anzeichen, dass der Rest auch kommt. Etwas verlegen wussten wir nicht, was nun passiert, kommt der Rest oder nicht! Wir warteten etwa 10 Minuten und fragten dann den Kellner, ob der Rest auch noch kommt. Wir wollten natürlich gerne gemeinsam essen und nicht jeder alleine für sich. Wieder erlaubte sich der Kellner mir mit einem abwertenden Lächeln mitzuteilen, dass dies ein japanisches Restaurant wäre. Ich teilte ihm mit, dass ich schon mal in Japan, Tokio gewesen bin und ich seine permanente Anspielung auf "japanisches" Restaurant als Beleidigung verstehe. Ich fragte, ob er jemals in Japan gewesen sei, was er nicht verstand. Wir ließen den Restaurantleiter kommen und dieser entschuldigte sich mit der Begründung, dass sie heute Fullhouse hätten, was allerdings keine Entschuldigung für uns ist. Also Hähnchen zurück und 20 Minuten später, dann ca. gegen 21:10 Uhr endlich die Hauptgerichte, gemeinsam erhalten. Als wir dann als Nachtisch unseren bestellten und sogar am Nachmittag auf telefonische Nachfrage bestätigten Kuchen abrufen wollten, kam plötzlich ein Handteller großer Schokomousse in Ringform mit einem Happy Birthday Schokorand. Für 4 Personen!!!!!! Wir sind randlos enttäuscht und können dieses Restaurant keineswegs empfehlen. Es reicht nicht nur im Hotel Mandarin Oriental zu sein und zu denken, alle Gäste lassen das mit sich machen und sie gehen schadlos an sowas vorbei. Wie in den vergangenen Jahren hatte dieses Restaurant nie lange Bestand. Es wechselte ständig sein Motto und seine Ausrichtung und das aufgrund fehlender guter Managements.  Leider ein Stern zu viel!

We ate at Matsuhisa. After we were there and had to wait for the reception to be seated, we finally got our table next to the mise en place from the service. Not a nice sight to spend a romantic evening, apart from the clattering of the empty plates that had been stacked on top of each other, the remains of the food were nicely pressed together on the plates. It started with a refreshing cocktail called Ginger Rush and Moscow Mule. I can't say anything about the mule - the rush was incredibly bitter and inedible. I didn't drink this and gave it back. Since we wanted to spend an unforgettable evening with my wife, we asked the lady who was in charge of our table (Elisabet if I'm not mistaken) to bring us all the food she thought was appropriate until we said stop AND we had it hunger. Quality of the raw fish was top! From yellowtail to salmon to otoro. I wish that the fish slices arrived at an appropriately adjusted temperature. I would hope that the Otoro would at least be at room temperature. All the raw fish were way too cold. Unfortunately, the menu resulted in a whole bunch of dishes with jalapeno sauce, I would say that was an unfortunate choice or the kitchen was happy to finally get rid of the sauce. A huge disappointment was the spinach salad, which was impossible to shine as it was covered in truffle oil. Truffle lovers know exactly what that means. A drop of truffle oil would be enough to give an idea of ​​truffles, there was no trace of fresh truffles. After I took the scepter into my own hands, I asked for the cod... the star of the evening. It brought me back to my first visit to Matsuhisa in Athens over 12 years ago and it was a wonderful memory, as the dessert shone in all its chocolaty splendor, the matcha ice cream with it... a joy. To the conclusion: Service very nice but too inexperienced Ambiance mediocre Food very good except for little things Price-performance ratio totally inappropriate. We had a bill for €575.50 without a tip. For this horrendous sum I would have at least wanted fresh truffles or some caviar somewhere or at least lobster or king crab. You can definitely eat much better, more and of higher quality elsewhere for this money. And unfortunately for me personally the biggest disappointment was that the spinach salad was €34 and the cocktail was €19, although I had to return them because they were inedible

Again and again I am disappointed from Matsuhisa Munich in the Madarin Oriental Hotel where I happily used to go. On Sunday 18.2 we went there with 8 friends and I have to really complain about the unprofessional and unfriendly service which has been one of the best in the city. As a guest I just felt like pain in the as… for the waiters. The quality of the food is still good which should be obvious by the high prices. There was no explanation of the menu (which makes easier by 8 guests) the main courses arrived completely uncoordinated, water was not refilled… and even the waiter rolled his eyes when we were dare to ask something. It was just a bed service, unfortunately again!

We have been to Matsuhisa several times, but unfortunately this is the last time. The service yesterday was incredibly uncoordinated, after multiple requests there was no cutlery for those guests who didn't want to eat with chopsticks. Apart from the fact that none of the waiters spoke German (which seems to be the trend in Munich at the moment), no one could even begin to help us with the choice of food. The dishes then all got mixed up, with long breaks and delays in between. The food was appropriate for the price and of very good quality, but the service was anything but good.

We decided to come to breakfast at the Matsuhisa to have a great start into the birthday celebration day of my husband and it absolutely met our expectations! Food was amazing with lots of vegetarian and vegan friendly options! Fruits were so juicy and great variety. Not to say the assorted options of bread, cakes, cookies, seeds, nuts…and the coffee yummy! But what was really a highlight of the experience was the amazing service we got from SIMA! From the moment we arrived she made the birthday experience so great for my husband, brought him some vegan surprises from the kitchen, specially cooked for him. She was absolutely kind, friendly and making us feel like at home and my husband like the King of the day! Thanks so much SIMA for your excellent service! You were amazing!

Super disappointed. Extremely rushed waiter. He spoke so fast I understood nothing. We’ve had sushi at some of the best places in the world and expected much better. While it looked very pretty it just had zero flavor. The rainbow roll had a fake crab stick in the middle! The texture of all the fish seemed not too fresh. The spicy tuna roll had no spice at all (far left in pic.) The salmon and yellowtail nigiri were average and wasn’t even king salmon…reminiscent of Costco salmon tbh. After traveling for weeks through Germany I was REALLY wanting some excellent fish. Too bad! I cannot recommend this place at all!

We have got breakfast. The restaurant is very nice and you can have there most of the things you can image a breakfast buffet can have. Berries, nuts, vegan pancakes. Delicious coffee. They offered me some quinoa pancakes (not on the menu) specially made for my vegan preferences. The decor of the place is top. The best of all is the service. Sima, the lady who attended us, gave us all the attention and pleased us with any detail that we wanted. Amazing service. Prices are high as expected in a place like this. If something was missing I would recommend more jam flavors, peanut butter, almond butter, any nut butter.

I was with a group of friends who were really eager to try out the Matsuhisa. Quite overpriced but, it was worth every cent!! Before we entered the restaurant, we came across by this beautiful, kind, the dashing smile of the hostess, we already felt like this is going to be a blast of an experience! The staff were very friendly, Gabor who was our waiter, really took care of our belongings (the reason why im saying this is bc, I didn’t realise how my scarf was on the floor and what the gentleman did was placing it on a small stool, which caught me off guard), very professional when it comes to customer service, made us felt very comfortable with his humour! The sushi Chef, known as Jeff, introduced every dish with his knowledge without missing any ingredient, which made us even more intrigued and impressed. Im not a fan of wasabi so, i informed how I wouldn’t like any wasabi on my sushi/nigiri. I totally forgot about my request to the chef, which made me even more impressed. Now with that type of professionalism is what makes the restaurant more reliable! Now with the food…. We tried out the Omakase (chef’s choice/heart) which was 7 courses! Just by the 1st course(Octopus carpaccio with jalapeno dressing) I already knew how I would enjoy every bite of it. The rest of the courses, it filled me up so quick that I could barely even make it to the 5th course. I had to make it till the end bc I did hear the desserts is something you should NOT miss.. May I say, how I am so glad that I managed to try out the one and only Nobu Cheesecake! It’s not just a cheesecake, it’s something so light, barely tastes the cream cheese, blends in so well with the crushed cookies and yuzu ( japanese citrus). For fancy casual place like this, I would definitely visit on any special occasions! It’s a place to bring your partner and celebrate either an anniversary or birthday or whatsoever occasion!!

Wir waren letzte Woche am Freitag dort. Es war bestimmt unser 20. Mal. Zum ersten Mal waren wir enttäuscht. Wir haben lange lange lange gewartet. Kein einziges Mal wurden wir gefragt ob wir noch was trinken wollen im ganzen Abend. Um die nächsten Gänge zu bekommen mussten wir jemanden anhalten und um Unterstützung bitten. Dann erst passierte was. 40 Minuten lang wurde der Tisch nicht abgeräumt. Es war leider enttäuschend. Wir probieren es nochmal. Wenn wir die selbe Erfahrung machen, werden wir uns wohl weinenden Auges vom Matsuhisa erstmal verabschieden, da Anspruch und Wirklichkeit nicht synchron sind.

If you want really good Sushi with a high level of Service and Quality that is the right place! I was alone sitting in the Sushi Bar and I had an amazing experience just as I expected from a Restaurant in the Mandarin Oriental. As a person who comes from the Gastronomy, I can tell the Sushi Masters in the front and the Cooks in the kitchen they all do their work with passion! I had like 16 Nigiris, a 100g plate of Wagyu and Mochis for Dessert. I paid more than 300€ just for me alone but if you really want an amazing experience with excellent quality then you should really visit that place!

Last time I stayed there was our 19th wedding anniversary. Nobu Matsuhisas Japanese Peruvian fusion kitchen located in the Mandarin Oriental in Munich was splendido as usually. We had a bottle of Champagne 🍾 and after the amuse gueule we started with the cold yellowtail jalapeño dish, afterwards some more sashimi and 🌈 rainbow roll and stuff and finally we had warm scallops with wasabi shiitake, asparagus yum. As a special treat we ordered a Sacher cake from MO in-house Patisserie. Staff was very nice and the atmosphere was relaxed. Despite not cheap, who would expect that, it’s still a good luxurious place to enjoy and relax. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

- Hoch gelobt als Nobel-Sushi. Aber nur ganz gut- Ja, ich fand es bei unserem Besuch auch ganz gut. Aber eben auch nur „ganz gut“ und dafür dann recht teuer. Die Einrichtung ist top, angenehmes Licht. Man darf sich nur nicht von etwas eigenartigen Dates am Nachbartisch oder dem laut durch das Restaurant rufenden Kellner (beim Eintreffen neuer Gäste) irritieren lassen. Zumindest letzteres hat wohl eine gewisse Tradition. Was das Essen angeht, gab es qualitativ meiner Meinung nach absolut nichts auszusetzen, leider aber etwas lieblos angerichtet. Und das Dessert (Lava Chocolate Cake mit Eis) sollte man eher überspringen. Der Service war etwas zurückhalten, fast abwesend. Das geht besser und für das Preisniveau würde ich das auch erwarten.

Wir waren nun zum zweiten Mal im Matsuhisa zum Essen. Das Essen ist überragend und gerade die kalten Tellergerichte sind im Geschmack äußerst komplex. Das Konzept ist auf Teilen ausgelegt, sodass die Speisen nacheinander kommen. Andere Bewertungen, die ich gelesen habe, berichten von Wartezeiten auf das eine Gericht, während das der anderen Person schon da war. So ist das Konzept, also am besten darauf einlassen. Wer teilt kann insgesamt mehr probieren. Das Sushi ist von herausragender Qualität. Man schmeckt die Frische und das gute Produkt. Auch hier habe ich gelesen, dass für die Qualität der Preis zu hoch sei. Wenn man sich auskennt, dann schmeckt man aber den großen Unterschied und die meisterhafte Verarbeitung. Die Preise hier sind hoch, aber bei dieser Qualität und dem Geschmack gerechtfertigt Auch der Service ist äußerst kompetent Ich werde gerne wiederkommen und freue mich darauf Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team

Wir konnten es uns bei einem leckerem und entspanntem Frühstück unter der Woche gut gehen lassen. Alle Speisen am Buffet waren geschmackvoll und der Service freundlich. Allerdings ist die Auswahl an Speisen nicht sehr groß, wenn doch ein reichliches Angebot an Smoothie und Säften besteht. Wir buchten das Champagner-Frühstück dazu, was sehr lecker war. Aber hier sollte auch beachtet werden, dass nur ein Glas im Preis inbegriffen ist (was uns leider erst beim Betellen des dritten Glases gesagt wurde und daher auch berechnet wurde). Insgesamt ein gutes Frühstück, aber für den Preis wird unserer Meinung nach zu wenig geboten. Wir hatten bereits bessere Erfahrungen in gehobeneren Hotels in München zum Brunch und waren daher etwas enttäuscht vom Mandarin Oriental.

One of the best Japanese places in Munich you can find. I have been there multiple times and their food surprises you every time. Exquisite, rich, and simply outstanding taste. It's a perfect place for dinner right in city center of Munich. However you should be ready to pay 100+ eur per person, so it's not the cheapest gastronomic experience.

Being in a country where we didn’t speak the language made us so nervous to find a restaurant. We happened upon this place and are so glad we did! Our waitress was so patient with our questions and even provided us with a menu in English. The food was delicious and we had a great experience here!

The two spaghetti dishes were also bottomless. Small pieces of spaghetti that were cooked far too soft and tasted bland. We told the waitress about this, but she wasn't really interested. Otherwise the service was attentive and polite. Unfortunately we had to spend the evening in our winter jackets because the room wasn't heated. It's a shame because we were hoping for more for our money.
