Salad was very good, the suckling pig was also good, what I didn't like at all was the very caraway-heavy sauce, the almost over-salted bread dumplings and the red cabbage that was probably just warmed up straight from the can but not seasoned.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was tasty with massive portions.

Nice little beer garden in nice surroundings. Roast pork was rather mediocre. For example, you just shouldn't put sauce over the crust.

Very nice Bavarian restaurant with freshly tapped Augustiner. We were a group of 13 and we were all very enthusiastic about the food. The roast pork is really good and the other dishes were also convincing. The restaurant is worth a clear recommendation and can be recommended without hesitation.

We had a large group of about fifty teenagers and adults. We really enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere in general. The sauerkraut was some of the best I have ever had!

I ordered apple strudel with vanilla sauce and a cup of coffee. The coffee came after 5 minutes. The apple strudel was only served half an hour after I had already finished the coffee. After I asked why the strudel was brought so late, the waiter replied "You have to tell me in advance that you want coffee and strudel served together". overpriced prices, e.g. 0.5 l wheat beer €4.90 amateurish service, very noisy restaurant,

Whilst visiting Munich, this 'beer garden' was the nearest to our hotel. The menu was in German and the waiter was not that helpful. We ordered food and beer. As we were eating more and more people were coming in, it got louder. Paid the bill and later found out that we were overcharged.

For me, the best Bavarian restaurant in Munich. When I went to two or three other Augustiners, it was too crowded, noisy, unfriendly, and kept me waiting. But here, first of all, the boss?? The male employee was very kind and guided us well. When I said I wanted to eat Schwein Haxen, he didn't have it, but he said there was a similar menu and recommended this menu. He then asked if I wanted a salad and ordered it together. I first asked for a drink, so I ordered the smallest beer, and it came in a very cute and cute glass. Is this a menu similar to Haksen, Korean boiled pork? It tastes the same, but the crispy skin is served separately, but this one is a bit salty (I don't even find Italian food salty, but this one was a bit salty). Dumplings made with meat and potatoes? It was delicious. And the cabbage salad is really refreshing and delicious, and I don't like beer, but since I came to Germany, I've been drinking it out of a sense of duty. It doesn't taste bitter, doesn't have the unique smell of alcohol, and is very nutty. Overall, I highly recommend this house.

We took a school trip through EF Education First tour group and this was our dinner for our night in Munich. EF makes all reservations for hotels and restaurants before we ever leave home. As soon as we arrived to the restaurant the employees were rude and off putting to our group as if they did not want us there. The manager yelled at our tour director in the middle of the restaurant in front of everyone because we had three special meals that were requested prior, one gluten free and two vegetarians, and he claimed we never let them know. (By this time, we had eaten at 6 other restaurants in Eroupe, 3 different countries, who were aware of and accommodated theses special dietary restrictions, so this seemed odd to our group.) After we were all served and eating our pre planned meals that we did not get to choose, the manager again approached our tour director at her table while she was in the middle of her meal and continued to yell at her. It was absolutely disgusting behavior from this employee and totally ruined our time there and left a bad impression that overrode the food and atmosphere experience. I commend our tour director for how she tactfully handled this enraged man. I attached pictures of manager who yelled at our tour director and of the restaurant for your protection.

Lo, can any Dionysiac oasis be found in such an unvarnished desert of brutalism as Munich? It can, with a competitively-priced set menu.

We were passing through Austria and only wanted to stay for 2-3 hours to visit our friends and then wanted to continue driving but we didn't expect the restaurant 🤭 We stayed 1 day longer. We were enchanted by the friendliness and competence of the staff, the ambience, the food and drinks were excellent. Prices are also very good. All I can say is: “Thank you, we’ll be back.”

Been there several times in the past and today for the first time since Corona times. First noticed: The selection on the menu is significantly smaller and less Bavarian. Prices have also risen enormously, which cannot be explained solely by inflation or the changed VAT on restaurant food. Helles for €4.50, even though the Augustiner brewery produces right around the corner?! And ordinary Munich sausage salad with bread from yesterday (it was already hard) for €15.80?! Despite the nice atmosphere in the restaurant, I see a gap between price and performance. It may be that tourists pay that. Anyone who has lived in the corner for a long time and knows the previous prices feels a bit ripped off.

Typical Bavarian tavern! Veal schnitzel was ok. Burgers looked very good and were rated very good by friends.

The community center has been our local pub for years, but unfortunately nothing there is as it once was. Not only does the Klassik Schnitzel now cost €17.80 instead of €14.80 (this cannot be explained by VAT), but the entire team of waiters has also changed. Apparently there is a new owner, but there is no information about this change anywhere, which is very strange when you suddenly don't know any of the waiters/waitresses anymore. The new waiters have obviously been trained in stupid jokes, at least you can't get anything served without having to listen to extremely strange jokes. The roast pork is actually inedible and now comes the climax: if four people eat a schnitzel and drink a beer, then it's over 90 € and when, in my mental derangement, I simply rounded up to 95, the waiter also became mushy. I'm sorry, but it's up to the guest to decide how much to tip. Even if it's just a mental overnight stay. It's a shame about this last haven of Bavarian hospitality in the Westend...

Attentive service and delicious mountain schnitzel in a classic tavern atmosphere.

Unfortunately we were only allowed to eat inside because the waiter was alone and he could handle it better that way. Although customers were already allowed to eat outside in the beautiful weather. And then the waiter has time to sit behind the counter on his cell phone. We didn't even get to sit down because the drinks had to be ordered straight away, and then we'd forget who had which drink. Really very unprofessional from the service. However, the ambience is authentic and the food is really recommended.

I wanted to eat out today because of the good reviews. Unfortunately that didn't happen. I was alone and wanted a place. The restaurant was not overcrowded and there were individuals sitting at individual tables. I was offered a seat at the narrow counter. I then said that I would like to eat something too. He looked briefly and then just said that you can also eat at the counter. That was my signal to leave and never go there again. Apparently they don't need it.

So this is our Augustinian community center. Compared to the main establishments, the A-Keller or the brewery, you always have a place to chat. There are town hall meetings, live football, chess club, etc. For the citizens. No tourists from all over Bavaria, Franconia, Swabia. Often a place of refuge. The beer is the beer. You don't need to say anything. The food is good, but not as professional as in the big restaurants. Furnishings don't have a hundred-year-old patina either. When I have family over, they always want to go there because the A-Bräu is just too much. It's good that you exist. I would particularly like to emphasize the fairly new operation. It doesn't grumble and might be too nice for some - I found it outstanding! If there is a Germany next top service at some point - sign him up!

Very cozy and original looking place to meet people, have a bite to eat or just drink your favorite drink. The food was OK, portion size sufficient, reasonably priced. No more and no less. Despite the full house, the service was just as quick as the kitchen. We'll come back if we're in the area again.

I got very angry and annoyed .it is a basic principle in hotel management that you serve soup first and then food or atleast ask your customer if you haven’t learned it yet !!!Look at the pic .Am I supposed to eat everything at same time??it would have been good then if he also bring some dessert together so that I can eat everything at same time ! I am not getting enough time to eat or enjoy soup where I will have concerns of my food will loose it’s hot and I have to Eat at it cold . 3. It was nice, cozy and tasty. Unfortunately very warm (room temperature), well, some like it, others less so, it's not a criticism in that sense. Yesterday we were there to watch the Champions game. Unfortunately, my second lemon soda was served without carbonation, and when I politely complained about it, they brought me water 😅. They had a lot of stress that day so it was okay, but normally it shouldn't happen. But all in all, we've been there twice and would be happy to come back at any time.

Lunch is ok, nothing special. However, cream sauce is "smeared". Service, on the other hand, is rather bored and apathetic, you don't feel very welcome and are quickly dumped. The men's toilets smell terribly of urine, I noticed that last time. There is an urgent need to catch up here. Won't be coming back.

Tolle Wirtschaft! Der Name Bürgerheim trifft es perfekt. Die Gäste sind eine Mischung allen Alters, aller Couleur, aller Preisklassen. Vom rüstigen Rentner, der mit seinem Stammtischkollegen ein Bier trinkt, bis zu Gästen in ihren 20ern, die Brett- oder Kartenspiele spielen. Was Essen betrifft, gibt es sehr üppige Portionen zu (für München) normalen Preisen: z.B. verschiedene Schnitzelvarianten für ca. 17€ (Stand Dezember 2023). Das Personal ist direkt aber herzlich. Alles in allem ist der Laden meiner Meinung nach eine super Empfehlung für Leute, die ohne Schnickschnack in lockerer Atmosphäre gutes Essen oder eine gute Zeit genießen wollen. Ich hoffe, er bleibt noch lange eine Institution in dieser Gegend.

Wir hatten unseren separaten Raum und waren unter uns. Eine vorherige super Absprache mit dem Wirt hat zum Gelingen sowohl für uns als Gruppe, als auch für die Bedienung beigetragen. Ich kann die Location wärmstens empfehlen. Preis - Leistung absolut Top! Unsere Bedienung war freundlich, fleißig, sehr hinterher und weiß mit Sicherheit was sie am Abend geleistet hat. Unser Dank gilt dem Wirt und Frau, unserer Bedienung, der Küchen-Crew und dem gesamten Team. Ihr seid spitze und habt trotz Großbestellung alles gegeben und absolut saftige Ente serviert. Lust, schwach von der Seite angequatscht zu werden? Dann seid ihr im Bürgerheim richtig. Konkret: Kellner (oder war es der Wirt?) verpennt Reservierung eines Tisches (kein Schild) und ermahnt dann die dort sitzenden Gäste (also uns wie auch die am Nachbartisch) im Fräulein-Rottenmeier-Tonfall, es sei reserviert und man solle sich gefälligst vor dem Platz nehmen an der Bar melden. Das sei in diesem Land so üblich (hat seine Leberkäs-Klitsche offenbar mit einem gehobenen Restaurant französischer oder italienischer Prägung verwechselt). War nicht das erste Mal, dass sich dieser Typ im Ton vergriffen hat. Für mich jedoch definitiv das letzte Mal. Essen ist ok, aber klar überteuert. Da es wahrlich genug bayerische Wirtshäuser in München gibt: Warum hier und nicht lieber woanders?

urig griabig. Ein super Lokal. Burger top, Schweisbraten top, Jägerschnitzel top. Man sollte einen Tisch reservieren. Grammeld voll. Ein Hit. Kann man schon öfter hin. Und zum sitzen bis zur Sperrstund geht es auch gut. Personal flott und endspannt, höflich. Alles Gute auf bald.

Das Essen schmeckt dort sehr gut. Aber die 5 Sterne gibts bei mir für den Service. Es war viel los und es war ein Betrunkener Gast dort, der den Mitarbeitern das Leben nicht einfach gemacht hat. Der Mitarbeier hat mit einer solchen Freundlichkeit und Professionalität die Wünsche der Gäste erfüllt, was mich staunen lies. Schnell war er darüberhinaus auch noch. Und den Betrunkenen hat er auch noch angemessen bedient. Er hatte auch noch Zeit mit uns ein Pläuschchen zu halten, was ich in dieser schnelllebigen Zeit enorm wichtig finde. Nach einem Jahr möchte ich noch die hundefreundlichkeit hinzufügen. Der Service ist noch genauso gut und stabil wie vor einem Jahr! Nur super Serviceleute . Der servicemitarbeiter Thomas ist besonders aufmerksam und erfüllt mir schnell alle Wünsche. Aber auch die anderen sind stets freundlich und professionell! 😊

This is a place a often go; their food is really good and have also interesting choices for vegetarians, despite being a wirthuas. A plus is for sure the warm and nice waiting staff.

Eure Käsespätzle schmecken nicht mehr so wie früher… Schade! Der Kartoffelsalat schmeckt nach nix. Teilweise sind die Kartoffeln noch völlig roh…

Hmm od czego zacząć... uwielbiam piwo augustiner dlatego lubię chodzić do waszych knajp ale niestety jak na razie nie zjadłam dobrze. Nie chcę tutaj wylewać hejtu wręcz przeciwnie pójdę jeszcze raz i spróbuję bo chcę wierzyć że moje zdanie zostanie zmienione. Zamówiłam (po raz kolejny) golonko (w innej restauracji też zamawiałam to samo by porównać) i niestety stwierdzam że nie potraficie jej robić. Mianowicie mięso powinno być miękkie soczyste i odchodzić od kości... skórka chrupiąca. Wiem to ponieważ pochodzę ze Śląska i jest to u nas danie popisowe zwłaszcza na imprezach na święto górnika Barbórka. Wasza golonka- no cóż - to była walka z krojeniem twardego suchego mięsa. Obiektywnie reszta była naprawdę ok. I myślałam że to winna jednej knajpy ale nie dwie różne tak samo nie potrafiły zrobić tego dobrze ... przyjdę na pewno znów bo kocham wasze piwo (przyznaję jest o wiele lepsze niż z moich okolic) i dam szansę co do jedzenia bo widziałam u innych ciekawe wyglądające potrawy -mam nadzieję że tylko w tej kwestii słabo wyszło a inne potrawy są naprawdę dobre- ale golonce mówię NIE. Atmosfera oraz obsługa zawsze na najwyższym poziomie i bardzo miła. Mam nadzieję że jeśli ktoś to czyta to nie w kwestii ta filia źle gotuję...tylko w kwestii o mamy podknięcie trzeba coś z tym zrobić. Pozdrawiam ciepło

Posto molto tranquillo, con tavoli all’aperto. Menu ricco, con piatti tradizionali e qualcosa in più. Provati una specie di tarte flambé con emmenthal e pancetta ( squisita ) e le wienr schnitzel. Tutto ottimo e abbondante. Servizio efficiente e cortese. Prezzi contenuti.

Das Augustiner Bürgerheim in München ist jederzeit einen Besuch wert. Ob zum Essen oder nur für ein Getränk- hier ist der Gast jederzeit willkommen, wird freundlich und zuvorkommend behandelt. Das Service Team ist äußerst umsichtig und flink und immer für einen Spaß zu haben. Danke an Markus und sein Team. Bezeichnend ist auch die Gästestruktur, von Jung bis Alt, Touristen oder Einheimische, Geschäftsleute oder Rentner, der Mix macht den Spirit. Portionen üppig, Essen schmackhaft. Extras werden selbstverständlich möglich gemacht. Ambiente urig gemütlich im Biergarten oder Innenraum. Wir freuen uns bereits auf den nächsten Besuch.

Ein echtes Wirtshaus mit schönem Ambiente und einer guten Auswahl an Gerichten und Getränken. Auch für Vegetarier gibt es hier mal nicht nur das übliche. Das Bier schmeckt gut aber auch den Wein kann man empfehlen.

I don’t really want to share this quiet retreat with the rest of Munich. But, alas, it’s not fair to the restaurant to keep it secret. To be sure, it’s not for everyone. If you’ve come to Munich for Oktoberfest or the Hofbrau Hause – go there instead. But if you’re in the neighborhood of the fest and want some great beer, good food and some time to let your ears stop ringing, this is a find. A short walk from the Donnersbergerbrucke, and even closer to the tram on Landsberger Strasse, it’s relatively close to the brewery and the Augustiner Bräustuben, but so much more peaceful and welcoming. Food is typically Bavarian, prepared in house (“everything but the ketchup and mayonnaise”); it’s not fancy but it’s not expensive either. Pricier than the Bräustuben, and you won’t get beer from the wood, but a bargain by downtown standards: you can still get a Mass (liter – and here it actually is) for less than ten Euros. We don’t know if every server is as fluent in English and as welcoming as Thomas, but they all greeted us warmly. Note that it can get very crowded during soccer matches, usually on Saturday, and sometimes during lunch on weekdays. Wir mussten sehr lange auf unseren Flammkuchen warten und als er dann endlich kam war er schon fast kalt. Ein weiteres Bier war auch nach zwanzig Minuten noch nicht da und haben wir dann wieder abbestellt. So fühlt sich Heimat an, was man leider in München kaum noch kennt. Hier herrscht noch die bayerische Gemütlichkeit, Urigkeit, und das Essen ist auch noch gut.

Wir waren da zum Mittagessen. Es ist eine traditionelle bayerische Gaststätte wie man sie kennt. Es gibt eine Mittagskarte wobei die Schnitzel sind besonders günstig sind. Die Bierauswahl ist ebenfalls sehr gut.
