The food is really tasty. The waiter was annoyed even though there were still few people in the restaurant. He even had problems implementing an order of spaetzle on French fries. Really a shame. If he doesn't enjoy his job, he should just work somewhere else.

We, three ladies and I, have been playing Schafkopf in this traditional old Munich restaurant for years. We appreciate good food, the best beer in the world and very friendly, competent service from Thomas. We just feel comfortable with him.

I've been here a few times, and the Bürgerheim is definitely worth a visit. We recently came here to eat asparagus at lunchtime. The place was fairly empty; we received a friendly welcome and were seated. The asparagus arrived quickly. It might have been too firm for some people, but it was fine for me. It came with hollandaise sauce and potatoes.

We wanted to sit outside in the nice weather, but when I asked if that was possible (almost all the guests were sitting outside), the waiter simply shook his head. When I asked why not, he replied, "We don't serve outside." When I stepped outside, other guests were being served at that moment.

The food was very tasty and came out quickly - I was worried that it may not have been freshly made but this wasn’t the case. The portions were huge (even the kids menu) and we all left with full bellies. If ordering dessert I would suggest sharing as it’s too big for one person. If we ever go to Munich again would definitely go again!!

A Munich tavern as you imagine it. Very nice service, great menu and it tastes good! You can also watch football in a cozy, typical Bavarian atmosphere and spend a great evening in the community center! Both with the family and with a larger group (but then reserve in advance). We'll definitely be back next weekend ;-)... Kind regards

A piece of my glass was missing; it had chipped off a sharp edge. When I asked for a new glass and drink, I was asked if the drink could be poured. Sure, I'm happy to risk drinking broken glass. Thrift is ok. But something like that shouldn't happen.

Very nice Bavarian restaurant with freshly tapped Augustiner. We were a group of 13 and we were all very enthusiastic about the food. The roast pork is really good and the other dishes were also convincing. The restaurant is worth a clear recommendation and can be recommended without hesitation.

The service here was really outstanding! Even though all hell broke loose, they had the place under control and were very accommodating and friendly. I didn't want to pay around €4 for water when I was hardly thirsty (which I didn't mention), and I was actively offered tap water! Until the end, people kept asking about us and served us well. I only know the service from our colleagues in the south (Spain, Italy, etc.). The schnitzel had its established lavish price of €26-28. The breading was really very good. The meat could have been of a better cut, it was a bit lacking in flavor and tough. 4/5 The cheese spaetzle was very flavorful and delicious, was one of the best we have eaten so far, a clear 5/5. The portions were really generous, everyone gets enough here. Atmosphere was typical Bavarian restaurant, cheerful and lively.

Rustic restaurant in the middle of the Westend. Many residents of the district come here and there is a lot on offer. The food is mediocre, but the atmosphere and the range of different activities (football broadcasts, Schafskopf tournaments, quiz evenings) are definitely gigantic. All in all, a real asset to the neighborhood.

Super friendly staff and very tasty food! A visit is almost mandatory. Even with a larger group, the food arrived very quickly after ordering and our waiter was very attentive when the glasses were empty.

During my stay in Munich I ate there 3 times and as my review says...very tasty food, super nice waiters and a great ambience. What I would like to mention very positively is that you can watch football there if you wish, if it suits you, a game that you have chosen yourself.

Nice restaurant outside the city, this is where you meet to watch football and drink… small and very nice menu. A reservation is definitely advisable. We'd love to come back!

The service was cheeky and presumptuous, and the colleagues present also reflected this. The food was of poor quality. The Wiener Schnitzel was tough and the breading was limp. The potato salad was tasteless and so was the cranberry jam. The non-alcoholic shandy was good, but was only served as a measure. It's a shame, we won't be coming back.

The food is very good, the portions are decent. We sat inside for the first time. I personally like it better outside, inside it is very rustic but of course that can also have its charm. The service is quite good, actually less attentive inside than outside, but always friendly.

There is very typical Bavarian home cooking, delicious 😋 The sweets - desserts - are also delicious 😋 and the beers - of course Loewenbräu - how could it be otherwise, delicious 🍺 The prices are slightly high, but, I think, quite reasonable. I will definitely visit it more often in the future I'll try out the delivery service since I live nearby, hopefully it's good 😉

Salad was very good, the suckling pig was also good, what I didn't like at all was the very caraway-heavy sauce, the almost over-salted bread dumplings and the red cabbage that was probably just warmed up straight from the can but not seasoned.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was tasty with massive portions.

We had a large group of about fifty teenagers and adults. We really enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere in general. The sauerkraut was some of the best I have ever had!

I ordered apple strudel with vanilla sauce and a cup of coffee. The coffee came after 5 minutes. The apple strudel was only served half an hour after I had already finished the coffee. A medida que estábamos comiendo más y más gente entraba, se hizo más fuerte. Pagó la factura y más tarde se enteró de que nos cobraron de más.

For me, the best Bavarian restaurant in Munich. When I went to two or three other Augustiners, it was too crowded, noisy, unfriendly, and kept me waiting. But here, first of all, the boss?? The male employee was very kind and guided us well. When I said I wanted to eat Schwein Haxen, he didn't have it, but he said there was a similar menu and recommended this menu. He then asked if I wanted a salad and ordered it together. I first asked for a drink, so I ordered the smallest beer, and it came in a very cute and cute glass. Is this a menu similar to Haksen, Korean boiled pork? It tastes the same, but the crispy skin is served separately, but this one is a bit salty (I don't even find Italian food salty, but this one was a bit salty). Dumplings made with meat and potatoes? It was delicious. And the cabbage salad is really refreshing and delicious, and I don't like beer, but since I came to Germany, I've been drinking it out of a sense of duty. It doesn't taste bitter, doesn't have the unique smell of alcohol, and is very nutty. Overall, I highly recommend this house.

We took a school trip through EF Education First tour group and this was our dinner for our night in Munich. EF makes all reservations for hotels and restaurants before we ever leave home. As soon as we arrived to the restaurant the employees were rude and off putting to our group as if they did not want us there. The manager yelled at our tour director in the middle of the restaurant in front of everyone because we had three special meals that were requested prior, one gluten free and two vegetarians, and he claimed we never let them know. (By this time, we had eaten at 6 other restaurants in Eroupe, 3 different countries, who were aware of and accommodated theses special dietary restrictions, so this seemed odd to our group.) After we were all served and eating our pre planned meals that we did not get to choose, the manager again approached our tour director at her table while she was in the middle of her meal and continued to yell at her. It was absolutely disgusting behavior from this employee and totally ruined our time there and left a bad impression that overrode the food and atmosphere experience. I commend our tour director for how she tactfully handled this enraged man. I attached pictures of manager who yelled at our tour director and of the restaurant for your protection.

We were passing through Austria and only wanted to stay for 2-3 hours to visit our friends and then wanted to continue driving but we didn't expect the restaurant 🤭 We stayed 1 day longer. We were enchanted by the friendliness and competence of the staff, the ambience, the food and drinks were excellent. Prices are also very good. All I can say is: “Thank you, we’ll be back.”

Been there several times in the past and today for the first time since Corona times. First noticed: The selection on the menu is significantly smaller and less Bavarian. Prices have also risen enormously, which cannot be explained solely by inflation or the changed VAT on restaurant food. Helles for €4.50, even though the Augustiner brewery produces right around the corner?! And ordinary Munich sausage salad with bread from yesterday (it was already hard) for €15.80?! Despite the nice atmosphere in the restaurant, I see a gap between price and performance. It may be that tourists pay that. Anyone who has lived in the corner for a long time and knows the previous prices feels a bit ripped off.

The best schnitzel I've eaten Quiet place and its super welcoming terrace... attentive and friendly service.... I recommend it

Typical Bavarian tavern! Veal schnitzel was ok. Burgers looked very good and were rated very good by friends.

The community center has been our local pub for years, but unfortunately nothing there is as it once was. Not only does the Klassik Schnitzel now cost €17.80 instead of €14.80 (this cannot be explained by VAT), but the entire team of waiters has also changed. Apparently there is a new owner, but there is no information about this change anywhere, which is very strange when you suddenly don't know any of the waiters/waitresses anymore. The new waiters have obviously been trained in stupid jokes, at least you can't get anything served without having to listen to extremely strange jokes. The roast pork is actually inedible and now comes the climax: if four people eat a schnitzel and drink a beer, then it's over 90 € and when, in my mental derangement, I simply rounded up to 95, the waiter also became mushy. I'm sorry, but it's up to the guest to decide how much to tip. Even if it's just a mental overnight stay. It's a shame about this last haven of Bavarian hospitality in the Westend...

Attentive service and delicious mountain schnitzel in a classic tavern atmosphere.

Unfortunately we were only allowed to eat inside because the waiter was alone and he could handle it better that way. Although customers were already allowed to eat outside in the beautiful weather. And then the waiter has time to sit behind the counter on his cell phone. We didn't even get to sit down because the drinks had to be ordered straight away, and then we'd forget who had which drink. Really very unprofessional from the service. However, the ambience is authentic and the food is really recommended.

The typical Bavarian restaurant and the people are super nice, the food tastes great and the eye is in this restaurant, the food is delivered there super nicely and you can play magic every Sunday, thank you very much ^^
