We were there for the first time to watch a football match (M05-SVW). Besides beer and shandy, we also had a tarte flambée. The beer was delicious and refreshing, the tarte flambée warm and hearty. The service was very quick and friendly, and the place was cozy and rustic. We'd gladly come again.

A reliable inn for those who enjoy a good schnitzel. Large to very large portions at reasonable prices. My Wiener Schnitzel was good quality, free of gristle and fat. The Bürgerheim is a rustic beer hall. The atmosphere is cozy.

I went there one evening, unplanned, with a friend. We had an extremely good meal and drank wonderfully cool Augustiner beer. The quality of the food is truly outstanding and simply top-notch. Everything was very, very tasty and prepared reasonably quickly! The service, however, could be improved! One colleague seems to not speak at all and just mumbles to herself. The two colleagues are nice, but nothing you'd call outstanding service. Everyone is very taciturn and rather unmotivated. Nothing that would stop me from going there again. But great service would be the icing on the cake for this wonderful restaurant and the excellent cuisine ☺️👌🏻 Update: 10/19/25 I was just there again with two friends and just told them that I haven't had such good and friendly service in a long time! The food was once again delicious and the atmosphere convivial, as befits a pub. All the waiters were friendly, prompt, and attentive. Absolutely top-notch! ☺️

I've been looking forward to a delicious Jägerschnitzel with cream sauce for hours. I dragged my friends to this place. As soon as we arrived, we were accused of stealing chairs. The disappointment came with the schnitzel. In front of me was an unbreaded piece of pork, which had soaked up the liquid from the watery, thin cream sauce, making it soft. The egg noodles were okay. Don't come here if you're expecting a crispy schnitzel.

Unfortunately, the ambiance wasn't inviting. The service was very attentive and cheerful, but that could only be said of one employee who fortunately served us. The side salad was wilted, and the dumpling hash brown portion was also meager. Would I pay €18 for that again? Perhaps not. The restaurant would probably benefit from a comprehensive renovation or modernization. Inside, the feeling is more like a working-class pub.

I actually really like the Bürgerheim. Good service, delicious food, nothing to complain about. 😊 But today, not much was going on. Poor service from the "main" waiter outside, who obviously wasn't too keen on serving outside (Yeah, I'm a bit cold too). Sure, the tip is flowing with the Bayern Munich game inside. But his better half made the evening wonderful for us. Please give her the order man if you want to make a lasting, pleasant impression. ☺️🤗

I don't know of anything comparable in Munich. Great beer, great food, and extremely attentive, friendly staff. The kitchen always fulfills special requests, and the portions are generous. I'm a regular now, as the diverse people/groups liven up the place, and that's what makes it special – as a Munich native, I don't stand out at all.

Good for watching football and drinking. I only ordered food here once, and the crust on the roast pork wasn't anything special, but overall it was OK.

We were truly pleasantly surprised that you can still get top-notch service and top-notch food at fair prices. Our waiter, Vincent, was super friendly and very attentive. Our special requests were communicated to the kitchen and ultimately implemented. We had a wonderful meal, exactly as we wanted. The Bürgerheim is a cozy inn with a lovely terrace. You'll hardly find such a gem in Munich anymore! Keep up the good work! We definitely felt very comfortable and will be back very soon.

The Augustiner Bürgerheim is a quaint, traditional restaurant where you immediately feel at home. I'd especially like to highlight the waiter, who is incredibly funny, welcoming, and always up for a laugh. It's precisely this friendly approach that makes every visit special. The restaurant also offers excellent food. The schnitzels are outstanding, especially the Munich schnitzel with horseradish breading, which is highly recommended. With a refreshing wheat beer, we always enjoy a thoroughly enjoyable evening here. We're always happy to come back.

This was such a fun place to have dinner! People were engaged either in conversations or board games. Everybody was friendly, staff and patrons! The food was delicious and service was attentive and prompt!

Decent cheese spaetzle, with salad. But you can't get 5 stars for it. That's not because of the quality of the spaetzle, but because it's not a particularly interesting or complex dish. You can't submit a Google review as a promotion, either. In any case, I'd be happy to come back.

We've booked the back room for our monthly game night. It's been great. The food has improved recently; there was a slight hiccup, but now it's great again! It just sometimes takes a while for newcomers to order.

We had a sausage salad, which was very tasty and a really large portion, and a Jägerschnitzel, which was made the way it should be. The treatment of the cooks is very bad, they treat the delivery partners very rudely and work without gloves.

On May 18, 2025, at exactly 8:43 PM, I placed an order via a delivery service at the Augustiner Bürgerheim, as I often do. Unfortunately, I made a mistake: I accidentally ordered the same item (Munich Schnitzel) twice. I noticed this immediately after receiving the order confirmation and called the restaurant at exactly the same minute to correct the error and cancel one of the two items. An elderly lady answered the phone, whose behavior left me stunned. Without even briefly listening to my request, I was interrupted with the statement: "We started preparing it a long time ago." – mind you, just seconds after the order had been received. When I asked to check again, as it was impossible due to time constraints, I was rudely told that the food was already being prepared and that I was "out of luck." The rudeness, ignorance, and complete inconsideration with which I was treated was absolutely unprofessional. After further discussion, I was told that cancellation wasn't possible because fees would be charged, which is simply wrong. As someone with experience in the restaurant industry, I know that restaurants can cancel orders with Uber Eats free of charge as long as nothing has been delivered. But this lady was stubborn, showing no goodwill, showing no insight, and only concerned with profit. I've ordered from there several times, but certainly not again after this one unpleasant incident. Conclusion: Anyone who orders from here should be aware that mistakes are not forgiven, but rather cold-bloodedly exploited. I will never order from there again as long as this service mentality prevails.

The food was perfect!!! Unfortunately I didn't like the service at all. I was the first to order a drink and I received it only when I had finished eating. So I ordered still water and all my friends ordered beers. He came and gave everyone a drink except me. I told myself who was going to bring him back afterwards but not at all. In the middle of the meal the waiter came and I asked him for my drink again. He said ok but didn't come. After the meal, my friends wanted a second round and I took the opportunity to ask for water for the third time. So I did that and when it came with all the drinks, there was also my water on the tray. So he served all the beers to my friends, and when I was waiting for him to serve me my water, he left without serving me!!! I freaked out and after 5 minutes he finally came to bring me water. And guess yes, it was sparkling water!!! (I don't like sparkling water at all) So I ended up drinking nothing at all.

Quiet neighborhood. There is a parking space. We visited the place 2 years ago, and came back. Restaurant with a large outdoor terrace and an interior space decorated in an antique style. The waiter was friendly and on his recommendation we ordered a heavy schnitzel-phenomenal. Excellent beer. Pet friendly. Proportion of the price of the food and generous portions.

I was there with my wife and our two children (ages 8 and 11) – and we were completely satisfied! The service was exceptional - you rarely experience something like that in Germany. The staff was super friendly, attentive and made our stay special. We had a lot of fun and the food was also great. Clear recommendation for families!

I've been here a few times and the community center is definitely worth a visit. We last came here to eat asparagus for lunch. The shop was quite empty, we were warmly welcomed and seated. The asparagus was quickly on the table. For some people it might have been too bite-proof, but for me it was fine. Plus hollandaise sauce and potatoes. Edit: The post was written back in 2024, but was only uploaded from Google Maps about a year later... :)

The food is really tasty. The waiter was annoyed even though there were still few people in the restaurant. He even had problems implementing an order of spaetzle on French fries. Really a shame. If he doesn't enjoy his job, he should just work somewhere else.

We, three ladies and I, have been playing Schafkopf in this traditional old Munich restaurant for years. We appreciate good food, the best beer in the world and very friendly, competent service from Thomas. We just feel comfortable with him.

We wanted to sit outside in the nice weather, but when I asked if that was possible (almost all the guests were sitting outside), the waiter simply shook his head. When I asked why not, he replied, "We don't serve outside." When I stepped outside, other guests were being served at that moment.

The food was very tasty and came out quickly - I was worried that it may not have been freshly made but this wasn’t the case. The portions were huge (even the kids menu) and we all left with full bellies. If ordering dessert I would suggest sharing as it’s too big for one person. If we ever go to Munich again would definitely go again!!

A Munich tavern as you imagine it. Very nice service, great menu and it tastes good! You can also watch football in a cozy, typical Bavarian atmosphere and spend a great evening in the community center! Both with the family and with a larger group (but then reserve in advance). A piece of my glass was missing; it had chipped off a sharp edge. When I asked for a new glass and drink, I was asked if the drink could be poured. Sure, I'm happy to risk drinking broken glass. Thrift is ok. But something like that shouldn't happen.

Very nice Bavarian restaurant with freshly tapped Augustiner. We were a group of 13 and we were all very enthusiastic about the food. The roast pork is really good and the other dishes were also convincing. The restaurant is worth a clear recommendation and can be recommended without hesitation.
