Masala Indian Food in Leipzig

First time trying any Indian dish and the food was amazing! Would definitely come back for more...

Worst food worst taste. Too much costly as compared to other indian foods. Who keeps on boiling the curry and keeps on adding continuous water? I paid for a curry but i got a soup with unnecessary diluted water just to keep a running supply of tasteless food. Worst experience ever. Not recommended at all.

Buffet has large and small plates, difference minimal. Flat plates, little fits on them. The chicken dishes also come with a lot of sauce so that little fits on the plate. It's not about price performance at all. The taste is acceptable but for the price you can get it cheaper elsewhere

Here you can get a small, medium or large plate full to the brim with different curries and side dishes for 8, 10 or 12 euros, which you can put together or pile up yourself. For €18 you can get all-you-can-eat, but if you don't get fed up with a €12 plate or have a channel on YouTube, you should go to the doctor. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is not suitable for first-dates, and I say this because we shared a table with a first-date couple. There are no compulsory drinks at the buffet! The Mango Lassi €3.90.

I was there recently and got food poisoning from their food. I was sick for about 4 days after having my dinner there. Some items were really salty and had hair stuck in their food. The atmosphere and the service was the only redeeming quality. Would advise everyone to check their plates thoroughly as I doubt they are using gloves or hair caps in their kitchen.

Price performance is right. Recommend the mango chicken and the green curry.

Was pleasantly surprised to find an Indian place offering a buffet in Germany. On top, it was really good and reasonably priced.

What super tasty food for little money. You can choose from a buffet of 3 different sizes from Borden. We took the middle one for 9.90. You can brag once. Enough choice. Or you can order from the menu. Spice can be added yourself. Really recommended

Some delicious vegan dishes, nice that vegan/vegetarian and meat dishes are presented separately on the buffet. For a train station restaurant, the atmosphere is good and friendly.

Masala Food Test going day by day very down. I was last week and the buffet was very bad 👎 😕 😫 😩 I'm really very disappointed 😐 I'm a regular customer since 3 years and last year was also very good testy👍 but this year totally different, I don't know what is going there??? Some people also told me the same thing. Service is good like before.👍 I think you guys also not maintain proper hygiene!!! Very tasty and authentic Indian food!

Really disappointed. Got the Kleiner Teller but all of the chicken was gone from the chicken curry so it was just curry sauce. To make it worse, the chicken curry sauce was very salty. You don't get much for what you pay in quantity or quality.

Never experienced such bad service. When we asked when the buffet would be refilled, we were shouted at. Have eaten almost nothing and. paid anyway. The older one with the glasses is particularly rude. I can't write anything about the food since we ate next to nothing.

First of All this is not at all an Indian food. 2. Worst and third rated, badly smelling food and greedy arrogant and just opportunistic people 3. Food is smelling and not good seems old as I went for dinner Curry's are just watery and watery. 4. Most Pathetic and substandard food with bad and poor taste and no originality. 5. Quality of food is totally Pathetic. 6. I found the waiter and staff was too rude and arrogant annoying and with no manners. 7. We found waiters and staff totally uncultured and rude. 8. No point in argument so , I just paid and left. 9. The waiter should know how to talk to customers We never had any issues while visiting any other Pakistani or Indian restaurants.

I had been there a while ago, the food was quite good and wanted to get something again today. At 7:15 p.m. the kitchen was closed and you couldn't order anything from the menu, only the leftovers from the All You Can Eat buffet... No thanks!!! Absolutely impossible to close the kitchen at this time... I won't go there anymore. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

The smell alone when you come in is amazing. I ate a large chicken leg there that was seasoned with a sweet, slightly spicy red spice for 5 euros (I think the price is very reasonable for the main station). Was very good. The employees are nice too.

Nice staff and good food. The ambience is okay, it's in a shopping center. The buffet was good, there were several vegetarian and several non-vegetarian sauces. When I arrived, some of them were quite empty, but they were quickly refilled. Delicious Indian "fast food" sauces and the biryani was very good. Unfortunately, meat on the bone was used in a sauce. Since the pieces were sometimes smaller than a chicken leg, it was difficult to separate the meat from the bone, among other things because you couldn't clearly see what you were cutting through the sauce. Otherwise the food would have been 5/5. The mango lassi was also great.

Super tasty food for a reasonable price. Portions have a fixed price, for which you can put together your own dish from a wide selection. Unfortunately, the ambience suffers a bit from the busy train station, but it's still worth a visit again and again.

You can get delicious food here for a good price. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. I can only recommend.

Sehr lecker, hat keine 5-6 Minuten gedauert, bis mir ein Gericht à la carte eingepackt wurde. Die wissen, was Reisende brauchen. Das nächste Mal nutze ich einfach die Option, was vom Buffet einzupacken. Sah sehr lecker aus!

Worst smelling and use of too much food colors Chicken was smelling old and bad and after complaining to the waiter he was highly arrogant, rude, argumentative and quarrelsome 2. This is not at all an authentic Indian food. 3. Food quality and taste is pathetic and waiters behaviour is totally unacceptable, arrogant, highly unprofessional and too bad 4. Avoid at all cost to protect your stomach health that's what we have learned in a hard way.

Good food at reasonable prices. The smarter way to sell buffet is to choose either small plate or bigger but fill the plate at only once. Food was good, it’s in Hauptbahnhof, easy to access, friendly staff.

Personally, it was too sweet for me and not at all spicy. I was disappointed as I love Indian food, but I'm used to it being savory and spicy.

Um es treffend auszudrücken "für 10 Euro ist man papsatt". Das Essen schmeckt sehr lecker, die Gastgeber waren super freundlich und zudem waren die Preise echt empfehlenswert.

Heute (29. November 2023) besuchte ich wieder Masala Indian Food. Das Essen ist schmackhaft. Nun hatte ich dieses Mal einen Gutschein von 1 € dabei. Er stammte aus einer Werbung in der Zeitung. Doch ich wurde barsch von einem Mitarbeiter abgewiesen, der Gutschein wurde zerknüllt und entsorgt. Gilt nicht, wurde mir gesagt. Am liebsten hätte ich das Essen stehen gelassen. Ich finde keine Worte mehr! Geht man so mit Kunden um? Was soll dann die Werbung?

Personal sehr freundlich. Man hat sich wohl gefühlt. Essen war auch sehr lecker. Sternabzug weil es nicht so sauber war (Tisch/Geschirr)

Frische Zubereitung, gute Auswahl an veganen, vegetarischen und Fleisch-und Fischgerichten gibt Essen als Self Service Büffet oder Essen a lá carte.Unbedingt etwas Zeit mitbringen, um die Speisen zu genießen.Dieses Lokal ist zu gut für einen schnellen Besuch unter Zeitdruck. Das Másala ist unserer Meinung nach eines der Top Restaurants in den Promenaden.Dss Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Essen ist ok nur schade da beim All you can Eat Hühnerschenkel und Teigtaschen extra gezahlt werden müssen. 17,50 für das Angebot ist auch vollkommen ok Was ich halt schade finde das auch wenn es auf dem Hauptbahnhof ist man es etwas gemütlicher gestalten könnte und sich nicht wie in der Bahnhofskantine vorkommt

Kleines, nettes, indisches Buffet mit verschiedener Reisauswahl, Hähnchen mit verschiedenen Soßen, Gemüse und kleinen anderen Extras. Kleiner Teller kostet 7,90€, großer Teller 9,90€ Der Mitarbeiter war sehr herzlich und das Essen war sehr lecker. Zu empfehlen, wenn man am Leipziger Hbf ist und es schnell gehen muss. Komme gerne wieder :-) !!!

basically price is different for all you can eat . been told samosa and pakora not included (why??). wanted to sit down was told its reserved if more people come . then i found the meat dishes nearly all without meat ,which then made me to ask for return of money. go somewhere else my recommendation.

Inhuman , rude, arrogant and abusive staff Typically for Indian clientele right now Holy month (of Shravan) is going on, we also told him that too but the Masala staff was highly abusive, argumentative and not ready to accept their mistake. Not even one word of Sorry / apology was mentioned in the entire conversation , sadly Thus we conclude that Masala is doing this deliberately & we suggest that it is Not recommended for any human - as no one would like to eat others leftover food by paying full money. let me know if we should complain this to the food control authority ? This rotten, unhygenic & unhealthy selling of food items should stop !!!

Die Auswahl Buffet oder a la Cart ist super. Preislich und geschmacklich kann ich nur sagen eine 10/10! Wenn man indisch mag wird man Masala lieben. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!
