The food is below average comparing to authentic Indian food, and expensive … I live in Dubai and visited India many times, and love the Indian Cuisine … I visited the restaurant with my son and the Indian host who welcomed us on the door looked to us as if it’s an evaluation look 😂😂😂 … and cause we are 2 men wearing casual, he placed us in the worst table in the restaurant next to the WC … I felt discriminated, as many guests (of 2 like us) entered after us and been seated in much better tables … I wouldn’t recommend unless you are dreaming of Indian food 😊😊

Super delicious and a huge selection. The naan bread, everything with chicken, and the dal are especially recommended. The mango lassi is also simply delicious. It's better to make a reservation in the evening. And another little tip: you can order the lunch menu until 5:00 PM :) I come here at least once every time I visit Leipzig.

The food was good (if not great), but we didn't really feel welcome. The service only smiled briefly, and the atmosphere was otherwise rather lackluster. The ambiance is quite nice. Prices are definitely high, but unfortunately, there's still no pre-orderly attention. Be prepared for curries that cost around €20.

I was there today and I think the chicken was spoiled and not fresh; one piece even tasted rotten. But I didn't say anything, and now at home, I'm a little sorry I didn't say anything.

Went out for dinner spontaneously at 8 p.m. on a Friday. No reservation, got a table right away. Drinks arrived quickly. Large menu with a wide selection, including a large number of vegetarian dishes. Staff quick and friendly.

I don't understand some of the reviews. The food was delicious and came quickly, even though it was busy.

Four of us spontaneously went there for dinner one evening and were thrilled! The restaurant had been recommended to me several times, and we were not disappointed. The interior of the restaurant is beautifully designed, but the outside felt a bit lacking in the interior feel. The waiters who served us were super friendly and attentive. The starter didn't completely impress us, so we gave it one star less. The main courses, on the other hand, were absolutely amazing! All the curries were super delicious, and the garlic naan was super light and tasty. We'll definitely be back!

The Indian food was good, but I found the prices to be significantly inflated. I've had equally good Indian food for half the price. The prices here on Google Maps are no longer up to date. I had a vegetarian dish for around €18... which made it one of the cheaper dishes. The tomato salad as an appetizer had hardly any tomatoes... it was just a regular salad. The name is a bit misleading. I liked the service. The waiters were friendly and attentive.

We had a truly excellent meal here and were really glad we weren't put off by the slightly lower average rating.

I've been to Indian Palace several times now and I'm always impressed. The butter chicken is simply divine – tender chicken in a wonderfully creamy, spicy sauce, perfectly seasoned. You can tell the love and authentic spices go into the cooking here. The side dishes, like naan and basmati rice, are always fresh and delicious. The service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is pleasant and inviting. If you love good Indian food, you shouldn't miss the butter chicken here!

I arrived at the Indian Palace shortly before closing time and asked if I could get something to eat. The chef replied curtly and politely, "Please sit here." When I asked for house recommendations, he gave me three dishes and explained very clearly why they were delicious. I didn't know which one to choose, so I asked the chef to pick out something for me, which he did... The food was fantastic! The Indian beer was amazing too!

Very tasty food. Prices were so-so. (Chicken dishes at €20.) We sat outside in very nice weather. The servers were very prompt and friendly. The only thing that was a bit annoying was that the menu outside displayed the prices until 5 p.m., and if you miss this, it's obviously unpleasant.

Two of us ate here for lunch. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, and there was light Indian music playing. The servers were very friendly and always helpful, prompt, and attentive. Unfortunately, the table setting looked as if it had already been used (see the picture of the napkin), and the serving dishes were still covered in crumbs (possibly from previous guests) and a bit dirty. The food was very, very tasty; the chicken was soft and flavorful, the rice was very well cooked, and the sauces were also more than perfectly prepared. In summary, a truly lovingly decorated restaurant with many beautiful details (chandeliers, stone-effect walls, lots of plants and figurines, attractively designed chairs, etc.), very good food, and friendly servers. We would gladly come back :)

Rather mid-range, the menu is too extensive. I didn't get the feeling the cooking was ambitious. The target audience was probably tourists. The service was uninspired. However, the value for money was okay. Greetings from Nuremberg.

Great experience with a large group – uncomplicated and delicious! We were there spontaneously with a group of 20 people - everything was completely uncomplicated. The team was super friendly, quickly organized a large table and served us well. The food was consistently delicious, everyone enjoyed it. Special thanks to the lady in the office who was able to easily issue me a correct invoice for company billing - unfortunately not a given, but possible here. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately disappointing – not a second time The taste of the food at the Indian Palace was okay, but nothing more. Unfortunately, the overall impression was anything but positive: the tables were dirty, which didn't make a good impression when we arrived. Even worse, however, was the staff - extremely unfriendly and not trying to make you feel welcome. It's a shame, because with a little more cleanliness and a more respectful tone, the place could do a lot more.

Very slow service, food didn't taste very authentic and wasn't very attractive, even though the interior was almost empty, all the guests were seated next to each other so that you couldn't overhear the conversations of the other guests

We sat outside, the atmosphere was very good, 0.5L beer €6! I was disappointed with the food (lamb with curry...) not enough curry flavor and somehow not round, I like my curry vegetable pan much better. Both of us are worried now... Unfortunately no recommendation.

We were there for a business lunch and the shop was almost completely empty. There were only four other people in the restaurant, which wasn't a good sign. The sauces were very fatty, but the meat and rice were good. The hardship, however, was that we were charged more than what was on the card. There was no invoice to understand this either. Unfortunately, it only comes to light outside. The service was quick and attentive. However, there were hardly any other customers to serve. All in all, I can't recommend the restaurant. If it were half as expensive, they could certainly offer it. But such high prices, with such a small portion and average taste, are out of all proportion. Let's hope that the incorrect billing was just an isolated incident.

It's been a long time since I've had a delicious Indian meal. The grill plate was soooo delicious. Only the ginger lemonade was even tastier. Service very accommodating. My unreserved recommendation.

Rarely have we seen such great service🙏🏻 Since we have our hotel nearby, we really wanted to try the food here. In terms of taste, one of the best Indian restaurants we have tried and will definitely come back.🙌🏻

Lecker indisch mitten in der Stadt. Wir waren mit Kinderwagen unterwegs und haben gefragt ob noch Platz für uns wäre. Leider befindet sich das Restaurant im Obergeschoss mit steiler Treppe. Das Servicepersonal kam aber extra um uns den Fahrstuhl im Nebeneingang vom Hof zu zeigen, den wir nutzen konnten. Sehr freundlich und guter Service bereits beim Empfang. Empfehlung: Butter Chicken Masala oder Butter Paneer (Käse) und das Butter Naan.

It just tasted disgusting and almost made me puke

Visited this restaurant for the third time in a short space of time at lunchtime, give it a chance, it's just not good, Buissenes menu duck for 13.90, 5 pieces of potatoes, 3 pieces of duck, leftovers tasted tragic, asked the new waiter how they had to look for the duck, it was described as South Indian, I don't think they even know what that is, the rude answer we don't do it because of the guests, very bad food, far from Indian and service, well, I'll NEVER go there again

We had the menu for 2 people where you can try out a lot of Indian cuisine. It cost 70 euros. My girlfriend was just as excited as I was. It was fantastically delicious.

We ordered food here and picked it up. Unfortunately there is no menu online, which is no longer really up to date. Of course, current prices cannot be viewed this way. The main courses were very good and plentiful! The naan bread was really expensive and unfortunately dry and didn't seem fresh. Unfortunately, they didn't seem to be able to pack sauces to go with the papadum we ordered. Charging for that little bit of bread is not necessarily customer-friendly.

Good tasty food! Tastes authentic and the food came really fast after order (within 10 min). The place has a nice Indian theme.

We were very disappointed! The service staff assigned us a table in a very dark corner of the restaurant. Actually, we should have left immediately! We waited almost an hour for our mediocre food, and our additional order was simply forgotten. When we pointed this out to the service, they said that they would "take" the additional order out of the bill. In the end, however, it was still charged. We've never experienced anything like this! Impudence!

First of all, we have been guests at the Indian Palace several times! Unfortunately, this time, in addition to the staff, we were also greeted by a subtle smell of sanitary ware, which somewhat dampened our anticipation of the meal... The service also seemed a bit lackluster today, okay the restaurant had only been open for 30 minutes, but if you look annoyed when you take your order, then it doesn't seem very inviting. Another point of criticism today is the employee who walks through the restaurant with an e-cigarette in her hand, which in itself is not reprehensible, but if you are already puffing on it when you go out and then you are stopped, that is something that is absolutely not possible! As always, the food and drinks came quickly and, like before, were absolutely delicious! We'll just write the whole thing off as a bad day and will certainly be guests here again soon.

Dirty, slow, restaurant cold, food only enough. Too expensive for that. Not recommended

We ate there as a group (9 people between 9 and 70) on December 15, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. There were two or three other tables occupied. The attentive server only came to our table when no one was browsing the menu anymore. After drinks and food were ordered, it took six minutes for everyone to get their drink. After 24 minutes, the first dishes were on the table. It was delicious and everyone really enjoyed it. The yogurt-marinated chicken pieces were so tender! 🤤 And it wasn't too spicy, even for the little ones. Even the vegan cauliflower curry version was impressive! So five stars from us - we'll definitely be back!

There were eight of us at Indian Palace on Friday. Everything went perfectly. The table was set. The service was fast and competent. Some people asked if the dishes were vegan, and we received good advice. But most importantly, the food was really, really delicious! Everyone really enjoyed it. I've been there a few times for lunch, and I really enjoyed it then, too.

The restaurant is very nicely decorated. The food was amazing. If you want to eat Indian food, you'll get your money's worth here. However, for me, being able to use sanitary facilities is also part of a visit to a restaurant. The toilets were full of shit, there was piss in the urinals and on the toilet seats, toilet flushes didn't work, no hot water, no soap. The service left a lot to be desired in this regard.

The mulled wine stall in front of it reflects the ravages of time. It doesn't get any better than that. 2.50 euros a delicious mulled wine and not as overpriced as at the Christmas market. Great action and a great idea. We were there a few times.

Terrible, just terrible. I wanted to order and was initially ignored by the staff. After I was allowed to order, nothing happened for over an hour. I then spoke to a waiter who, visibly annoyed by my question, first looked at his tablet and then quickly ran to the kitchen. Apparently my food order was forgotten. After another half hour of waiting I got my food. Unfortunately, the supposed curry mango sauce was not only lukewarm, but also didn't taste like mango. Conclusion: A clear non-recommendation.

The food was ok, but the place is in need of renovation. The toilets are borderline. We had a very long wait for food on Saturday evening. 2 out of 4 people in our group noticed a strong urine-like smell in the restaurant.

Beautiful atmosphere, wine and beer very good. We had palek paneer and butter chicken. The chicken was very tender, sauce bland, palek paneer was like creamed spinach, extremely bland. I have eaten Indian food in 10 countries. This was by far the worst and most expensive. Trader Joe’s frozen is 50 times better .

So the mulled wine for 2.50 euros with a shot in front of the door was awesome. We were thrilled.

Our food was forgotten today, which of course can happen. But the way it was done was terrible because we received no apology and felt no remorse. We received our food after 1½ hours together with the starter. Unfortunately the staff was very unfriendly.

My first visit there. The food was generous and tasted good. The food is very mid and it is way expensive for what it's worth. For some reason the only two waiters they had were very new and didn't know much about the menu.

Food was somewhat good but the behavior of the employees were very very bad. To some people they offer card and to some they don’t. They gave us a table to sit and when the number of customers increased they forced us to change the table which we didn’t want to do. Really really bad behavior. I would recommend Indian Crown at least their behavior is much better.

I don’t understand why the ratings for this restaurant are sometimes so low. We had great food, superb service and the atmosphere inside was great. I would definitely come again next time I’m in town! Oh, and when it describes the dish as spicy- they mean it unlike a lot of other Indian restaurants. Enjoy!

I have never experienced such a rude and cheeky waitress anywhere! Even the most basic things like "Hello" are unknown to the waitress. Feels like she's wearing an invisible crown. You feel guilty from the first sight of walking in. When we were seated, I asked If there is a socket somewhere so you can charge your cell phone. She took my cell phone and brought it to the front. When I said goodbye at the end and wanted my cell phone back, she asked for 2 euros, but I gave it to someone else when I left Employee approached. He called them. I said that firstly, if the money is funded for something like this, you should be informed in advance as it says that if you pay for the tualette without having eaten in the restaurant, this will be the case the door. Secondly, I asked where she put the money - in the cash register or in her pocket. I didn't get a receipt, nothing her to extend "tips" in this way. Besides, if it happens with the owner's knowledge, it's an impertinence to ask for money for something like that. Often the sockets are near the tables and it's no one's business that you charge your cell phone. Never stop!
