The taste of samosas at Indian Crown is absolutely amazing! Fresh, golden, and flaky pastry filled with onions, potatoes, and spices come together so perfectly that after one bite you can’t help but say – ‘This is exactly what I was looking for.’ Every bite of the spice-infused potato and pea filling feels smooth and fresh. I must say, these samosas were truly ‘too good’ — I felt like ordering more.

After pre-ordering on a weekday evening, we (4 people) were greeted somewhat disinterestedly and assigned a table in the narrowest aisle, directly between the cash register and a curtain that barely covered the trash cans. At our request, we were then allowed to choose one of the many other free tables. The food was unspectacular and average, with no papadums offered as a "greeting from the kitchen" (as is customary elsewhere); these must be ordered (and paid for) separately. After the first round of drinks was finished, no one was interested in us anymore – no one asked if we wanted more, nor did they react to our gestures – even though there was plenty of staff and someone was always around us. Even my attempt to order dessert was almost thwarted by disinterest, had I not personally fetched the menus from the counter. However, this wasn't perceived as a sign of further requests, so we finally placed the order with the trainee (?) who was setting the next table. At the end, no questions about how it tasted, and no thanks for the tip or anything at all. The message conveyed was "We don't need it at all"... And in such a prominent location – simply sad...

Yesterday I ate here with my daughter. The food, the flavors, were very delicious! This restaurant is a hidden gem in Leipzig. Highly recommended.

The food was very tasty but expensive (average €20-22 per dish). You can get the lunch menu items for €15-17. I've seen other Indian restaurants serve bread with sauces as an "aperitif." Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. Given the price, I almost expected it. There's plenty of seating outside, as well as inside.

Amazing Punjabi, Indian Restaurant the daal makhni is really really good and just like Punjab. Yum. They made it super hot and spicy just right. Wow.

Bedienung steht zu dritt gelangweilt am Straßenrand anstatt auf die wenigen Gäste (Dienstag 17.45 Uhr) zu schauen. Freundlich kann man den Service auch nicht nennen, aber das war zumindest in Ordnung. Das Essen (Hähnchen Tandoori) war etwas anders zubereitet als ich es kenne (Kraut, kein Reis und es ist nicht in Soße geschwommen). Qualitativ und geschmacklich sehr gut gemacht.

There were five of us (four adults and one child) at the Indian Crown and we were absolutely thrilled. Every single dish was outstanding – delicious and beautifully presented. The service was extremely friendly, attentive, and quick – you rarely experience such good service. The prices aren't cheap, but they're absolutely reasonable. In my opinion, this is the best Indian restaurant I've ever visited. I highly recommend it!

We were six people, took just over 1 hour to get our food. But nothing wrong with the food, tasted good. It was a noisy restaurant and a bit too warm inside were we sat.

Der Service war extrem freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell – so guten Service erlebt man selten. Die Preise sind zwar nicht günstig, aber absolut gerechtfertigt. Für mich das beste indische Restaurant, das ich je besucht habe. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung!

Bonito lugar en el corazón de Alexanderplatz y los currys tenían un buen sabor, sin embargo el pollo era muy extraño y ninguno de los dos lo comió - textura insípida, divertida y no se sentía o parecía a pollo en absoluto. Promedio de panes Naan. No volveríamos a comer allí.

That's supposed to be duck 🦆. Dark, hard meat and the sauce was okay. But €22 is steep.

Very tasty food! Definitely a recommendation if you want to do something good for your stomach in the evening. The service is very attentive and nice. The typical Indian ambience rounds the whole thing off perfectly. We had the Chili Chicken and Chicken Madras. The spiciness was just right.

We are very disappointed: 1. Both of our meals were e.g. T. Burnt and over-seasoned. 2. The waiter seemed very inattentive. Friendly in contact, but otherwise disinterested 3. When paying, we were given a price that we didn't hear. On request. of a receipt, it turned out that the invoice was wrong and we had paid €15 too much. We generally like Indian food, but this visit left us very disappointed. We won't be coming back and can't recommend it.

En Leipzig para el partido del Liverpool. Nos alojamos en Groners Hostel a la vuelta de la esquina, que es increíble también. 4 de nosotros en una comida. Los poppadoms eran preciosos, con 3 chapuzones preciosos (mango, menta, y otro) , todos teníamos curry y arroz principal, con una gran porción de naan. Buen restaurante. Personal muy amable. Poppadoms no es genial. Agua tranquila a un precio de 6 . 90 euros la botella? Para Leipsig es caro. Promedio alimenticio. Las comidas principales caras por lo que recibes, no contenían mucho pollo.

So that was really tasty! At first I was worried whether the mango sauce with chicken was too sweet, but I was surprised at how tasty it was. We like the ambience downstairs a little more than the bright light upstairs. Staff very friendly, eaten ready super quickly and paid by card 💳 no problem. Gladly again at any time.

The positive first: very friendly staff, very attentive and above all concentrated. The waiter had no notepad or technical assistance when taking our order (6 people). When paying he knew the entire table from memory (impressive). The food was very tasty, not star cuisine but the price-performance ratio was definitely right. The portion size may seem small at first glance, but don't let that fool you. Now to the negative: unfortunately the cleanliness was not as you would expect in a restaurant. You can still ignore the fact that the tablecloth had one or two stains. But the women's toilet smelled terribly bad and there was no soap to wash your hands. Unfortunately, that wasn't so pleasant. But I assume that this was more the exception than the rule. I was there a few years ago and everything was fine. The fact that the Indian Crown has been in an exposed location for a few years shows that it can't be that bad.

This place was incredible, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We were greeted at the door with a friendly smile. I highly recommend starting with the samosa—it was perfectly crispy, and the tamarind chutney was delightful. We ordered four dishes in total, and each one was outstanding. The service from Mr. Pawan Singh was excellent, and Chef Manvendra Singh, who prepared the food, even came out to greet us. If you're a fan of Indian cuisine, this restaurant in Leipzig is a must-visit!

We know Indian better! Very expensive for a bowl with some lamb and rice. Starter completely fried and just warmed up. Service was very nice but that doesn't change anything if you're not satisfied with the food in the end. In our opinion, price performance doesn't fit. Ambiance doesn't really exist.

Der Hauptgang mit 22€ für eine paar kleine Stücke Lamm mit Currysoße und Reis ist ordentlich. Aufgrund dieser Erfahrung werden wir nicht wieder kommen.

La comida era tan deliciosa y el servicio era realmente genial. El pollo Biryani era tan delicioso y me lo comí todo, a pesar de que era bastante pesado para una persona. En la cena pedí Paneer Masala y Roti estuvo tierno y le fue bien con la salsa y las verduras. Las bebidas también se ofrecen con un costo asequible en comparación con otros restaurantes de los alrededores. Mantienen la comida resturante es de muy alta calidad e higiene. El gerente del restaurante era muy amable y cooperativo. Restaurante situado en el centro de la ciudad principal junto al hotel IBIS y Musem. Mucho apreciados por el servicio y la comida sabrosa proporcionada por los indios en Leipzig Alemania. Por último me gustaría recomendar visitar y degustar deliciosa comida - : )

Unfortunately it's no longer worth it. The dishes are all very similar, the curries are all very similar and hardly vary. You can still tolerate the spicy foods well even as a European if you like spicy food. By the way, the Indian white wine is highly recommended, but at €31 it's not a price tip either.

The customer service, the food, the enviroment, the hygiene everything fits in like a puzzle. This place is the definition of the art of food. You can feel the dedication and love of the chef while taking every bite. Gives a feeling of home. Also had a very nice conversation with one of the staff a very kind man Guru Preet, he and the whole staff made sure that we go through a respectfull and relaxing experience at the restaurant.

We were in this restaurant for the second time with various friends and we all agreed. Service was very nice, food was ok. but not overwhelming. The selection is very large and diverse. Now the negative, the prices are far too high for the quantity. Prices for a normal dish 20-25 euros would be ok. if you were full, which is just enough for a child. A small bowl of rice and a small container of meat in sauce is really lean. You should have a large starter to fill you up and then you're already at 30 euros plus drinks 40 and that's just too much for a short dinner. So it's ok for once in a while, but not as a regular restaurant.

Most of the vegetables appeared frozen. Therefore not appropriate for the prices. Not recommended!

My second time in Leipzig, a return was worth it. Excellent food, maybe too much choice, how can I decide. If I'm back in Leipzig, I will return.

When we walked in we were just stared at silently until we asked if there were any seats available. Unfortunately, we were placed right next to the television that was playing football the whole time, which didn't make the atmosphere particularly pleasant. The “starter” made us a bit skeptical. The mango lassi was super tasty, but the mojito was rather disappointing. The chicken tikka with naan was quite boring, but the butter chicken with rice convinced us. Some employees were nice, but overall we didn't really feel comfortable. While my friend was still eating, a waiter wanted to clear everything away... Compared to other Indian restaurants, it is quite expensive here. Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience and would therefore not come back.

Situated in a quiet area next to the Fine Art Museum in central Leipzig, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The food was pretty good for Germany though the Chicken Tikka Masala was a little bland. Good garlic naan and mango lassi, generous with the fluffy basmati rice.

My goodness, I had a delicious and authentic Indian food in Leipzig. We had all vegetarian and every dish was giving a real Indian feeling. Finally, took Kulfi, which you cannot leave. If you want to try something different, you can try ayurvedic milk. Thanks to Preeth, I have not come such a wonderful person. You will love him.

Mediocre food, way too much salt and very basic recipy prepared without passion. Head waiter behaving like a untrained bouncer, rude and an aggressive attitude. To be avoided in my opinion.

I have been eating Indian food often for 30 years and also traveled through India for 6 weeks. I usually eat palak paneer (spinach with Indian cheese). This has NEVER tasted like spicy spinach. Normally the spinach flavor is masked by garam masala. Now you can say: India is big and everyone makes their own mixture - of course, but as I said - I eat it very often. This dish was also not marked as spicy or very spicy on the menu. Anyone who orders a food that is labeled as not spicy because they don't like it or can't tolerate it is out of luck here. It was just plain with no variety of flavors whatsoever. Oddly enough, the starters also came along with the main courses. Huh????? Tomato soup was also just spicy. My husband's chicken was good quality and tender. But his food was also just spicy - otherwise flat in taste and his wasn't marked as spicy either. I'm really surprised at the very good reviews and above all: the restaurant hasn't been around for long and has over 1000 reviews? Well... you can get them in a variety of ways. It was cold in the restaurant. Despite good shoes and spicy food, my feet got cold. There are much better Indian restaurants in Leipzig - not in the center. As always, best wishes from Di & Ho
