Ordered chicken curry and asked the waiter to adjust the spicy level. It's the best chicken curry I have eaten after so long! It's full of flavor and spices are used generously. The waiter is also very friendly and very helpful. Definitely will be back to try more options!

Always felt home, it's a go to place for me and my friend, whenever we miss home food or are lazy to not cook after a long day. We just turn up there with a lot of hope and always came out with a belly full and delicious food, definitely they are kind to notch up the spice level for us. Brilliant place and hospitality!

Ordered food via wolt.com. Waited 2 hours for the food, even though the restaurant has its own driver, and even though the restaurant is only a 10-minute drive away. Called several times to find out where my order was. I was lied to the first time, and the second time I was assured that the food would arrive in 10 minutes. It never arrived. The man on the phone was impossible to understand, even with a lot of effort; his speaking speed was indescribable. I followed up with wolt 20 minutes later, and they also told me it would take 10 minutes. PS: I waited a total of 2 hours and 20 minutes for the food. Absolutely outrageous!

Very friendly welcome and a nice atmosphere, i.e. h. the usual Indian decoration. Polite and reserved staff - and although we were the last guests on this bank holiday in the early afternoon, we were not rushed. The dishes were delicious!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolute must for anyone who loves Indian food! We had Chili Chicken and Tikka Masala - both dishes were incredibly tasty and full of authentic flavors. The portions are huge, and the basmati rice side dish was more than enough. We were particularly impressed by the perfectly coordinated sharpness - exactly as it should be! Anyone looking for great Indian food should definitely stop by here. Clear recommendation!

Deutsche Version unten. We recently visited Maharadscha for dinner and found it to be a mixed experience. Interestingly, we've had delivery from this restaurant before and found it better than dining in. Perhaps this is because the time in transit allows the sauces to soak into the meat more thoroughly. Unfortunately, during our visit, the food tasted like it might have been precooked and reheated in the sauce, which was a bit disappointing. The starter platter (€13.90 for two) was not up to expectations. It consisted of two large onion rings, a single piece of chicken, a small portion of fried salmon, and two other pieces of battered items. Everything was coated in a thick batter that lacked crispiness, making it difficult to enjoy. We ate very little of it and wouldn't recommend this particular dish. As for the main courses, while some diners received their meals with the traditional heater to keep the food warm, this wasn’t the case for us. By the end of the meal, it felt like the staff might have noticed our lack of enthusiasm and decided not to provide the same level of attention. Overall, we’ve enjoyed better meals from this restaurant via delivery and feel that it might be the preferred option if you’re considering trying their food. Hopefully, some small improvements to the in-house dining experience will enhance the overall quality. Oh, and when we asked to pay by card, they said it wasn't possible. When we said we had no cash, they found a card machine. Wir haben kürzlich [Restaurantname] zum Abendessen besucht und hatten eine gemischte Erfahrung. Interessanterweise haben wir zuvor Essen von diesem Restaurant geliefert bekommen und fanden es besser als vor Ort. Vielleicht liegt das daran, dass die Soßen während der Lieferung mehr Zeit hatten, ins Fleisch einzuziehen. Leider schmeckte das Essen bei unserem Besuch so, als wäre es vorgekocht und in der Soße aufgewärmt worden, was etwas enttäuschend war. Die Vorspeisenplatte (13,90 € für zwei Personen) entsprach nicht unseren Erwartungen. Sie bestand aus zwei großen Zwiebelringen, einem einzelnen Stück Hühnchen, einer kleinen Portion frittiertem Lachs und zwei weiteren panierten Stücken. Alles war in einem dicken Teigmantel, der leider nicht knusprig war, was den Genuss erschwerte. Wir haben nur wenig davon gegessen und würden dieses Gericht nicht empfehlen. Bei den Hauptgerichten bekamen einige Gäste ihre Speisen mit dem typischen Wärmer serviert, um das Essen warmzuhalten, bei uns war das jedoch nicht der Fall. Gegen Ende des Essens hatten wir das Gefühl, dass das Personal unsere Unzufriedenheit bemerkt hat und uns deshalb nicht die gleiche Aufmerksamkeit entgegenbrachte. Insgesamt haben wir das Essen dieses Restaurants per Lieferung besser genossen und denken, dass dies die bevorzugte Option sein könnte, wenn man ihre Gerichte ausprobieren möchte. Wir hoffen, dass kleine Verbesserungen im Restaurant das Erlebnis vor Ort künftig aufwerten werden.

Great food. Fair prices. Service is quick and efficient. The chicken nilgiri (murgh nilgiri) is great and totally recommended.

All in all I have to give it 5 stars. The food is amazing!!!! Not a lie. No matter when and who I've been here with... the meat (I prefer lamb) is buttery soft, rich in spices and with lots of sauce. Plus the flaky basmati rice and my recommendation, the garlic naan bread... you shouldn't kiss anyone afterwards but the flavors that combine in your mouth. Divine! The staff is very attentive, quick and pleasantly reserved. The wine glasses are well filled, ... I think it would be nice if you could charge for half a glass later upon request if the guest wanted it! Otherwise an absolute recommendation!

Wir waren sehr enttäuscht. Haben ein vegetarisches Menü für 2 Personen bestellt. Vieles war zu salzig, die Gerichre schmeckten langweilig "deutsch" und wir haben lange gewartet, obwovl das Restaurant nicht voll wahr. Nicht zu empfehlen.

I have traveled in India for a long time and therefore know Indian cuisine very well and can also judge what is authentic. It is definitely not Maharaja. Of course, a lot is adapted to European tastes and I generally think it's good to find a little (a lot) more vegetables in my food than in India. However, all dishes tasted about the same, without the combination of spices typical of India. I was particularly disappointed with the Palak Paneer, it tasted like creamed spinach without any seasoning. So if you want to eat Indian food, I can only advise you to keep looking around.

After staying in India for 2 months, I find this Indian food to be the most authentic - best Indian restaurant in Leipzig!

After we had already eaten here, we discovered the option of having it delivered or, in our case, picking it up. It wasn't the first time that we ordered here by phone and were able to receive the food a short time later. As always, this was very tasty and plentiful. The lassi is also excellent, the service is very nice and committed. We will definitely order again and if it suits us, we will also go to the restaurant to eat.

The food would actually be delicious, but the service was not professional and very aggressive. I ordered lamb vindaloo with the comment that I wanted it very spicy. Plus extra coriander leaves (I love coriander!...) which were available in many other dishes, but not in Vindaloo. I have been able to order them with vindaloo without any problems at all the Indian restaurants I have visited so far. Food came. I didn't get coriander. Justification that it would not suit the court. I asked again if it wasn't still possible. No. That doesn't fit. I could get parsley and garlic. I didn't want to. I got it anyway. And when it comes to spiciness, I was used to something different from other restaurants. When I asked, I was told that you only get “50% spiciness” on your first visit. Even though I ordered "very spicy"??? In terms of taste, the sauce was okay, a little thin/watered down and the aforementioned spiciness was missing. My partner's lamb curry was even less spicy and very tomato-heavy. The lamb shank that he actually ordered wasn't there. Maybe you should believe the guest that he or she has certain preferences and wishes instead of changing orders.

We went there for dinner on May 8th because this Indian place was recommended to me. And we were all very impressed. From the service to the food and the price, everything was right for us. The food is super delicious. I can especially recommend the butter chicken, chili chicken and anything with cheese. The service is fast and the innkeeper is very competent and friendly. He also has a joke here and there. 😄 I really enjoy eating here and the price-performance ratio is great.

Had a delicious meal here tonight. We had chosen number 161, a menu for two to eat. Tasted different dishes, they all tasted equally delicious. They were also just spicy enough. Service was very friendly.

Our daughter's birthday meal request was Indian cuisine. What a disappointment this restaurant was almost across the board. Despite reservations, we were given a space between the toilet and the kitchen folding doors, which were often kicked open and from which the sound of microwave people could be heard at short, regular intervals. We still found the plastic tulips standing in the water on the table entertaining. The food was the biggest disappointment. The standard sauces without the typical Indian spice aroma were cold, as was the rice and our mixed starter plate was covered in dough beyond recognition. The accompanying sauces were served after consumption and made it clear that the kitchen was completely overwhelmed. The service questioned our satisfaction, but despite repeated references to the cold food, no reheating was offered. Those who want to quickly fill their stomachs after football will be catered for, but those who want to enjoy Indian cuisine should look for another restaurant.

There were four of us in the restaurant. Service was very bad! We waited forever for food and then the dishes were all served individually. A dish came 30 minutes later. Food itself was good.

Super friendly and attentive service staff, very tasty food. It's a cozy atmosphere in itself, but you sit a little close together with the other guests and the restaurant is not wheelchair friendly as there is only stair access. Therefore a star deduction for the atmosphere. There is no parking lot and the parking options are quite limited, otherwise great.

Price/performance ratio fits...really good quality...as Europeans we underestimate the "Indian spiciness"...so you can...you should be grateful if the waiter advises you to be careful when you( n) choose a very spicy dish!;-))) We can only recommend the mango/passion fruit nightcap... easy to reach by public transport... no stress if you stay at the table for a longer period of time and chat... there's another way... see Munich ...
