Yes! That's fine, very good selection of Indian dishes. Tasty in taste, good value for money! We will definitely come here again.

All in all I have to give it 5 stars. The food is amazing!!!! Not a lie. No matter when and who I've been here with... the meat (I prefer lamb) is buttery soft, rich in spices and with lots of sauce. Plus the flaky basmati rice and my recommendation, the garlic naan bread... you shouldn't kiss anyone afterwards but the flavors that combine in your mouth. Divine! The staff is very attentive, quick and pleasantly reserved. The wine glasses are well filled, ... I think it would be nice if you could charge for half a glass later upon request if the guest wanted it! Otherwise an absolute recommendation!

Wir waren sehr enttäuscht. Haben ein vegetarisches Menü für 2 Personen bestellt. Vieles war zu salzig, die Gerichre schmeckten langweilig "deutsch" und wir haben lange gewartet, obwovl das Restaurant nicht voll wahr. Nicht zu empfehlen.

I have traveled in India for a long time and therefore know Indian cuisine very well and can also judge what is authentic. It is definitely not Maharaja. Of course, a lot is adapted to European tastes and I generally think it's good to find a little (a lot) more vegetables in my food than in India. However, all dishes tasted about the same, without the combination of spices typical of India. I was particularly disappointed with the Palak Paneer, it tasted like creamed spinach without any seasoning. So if you want to eat Indian food, I can only advise you to keep looking around.

After staying in India for 2 months, I find this Indian food to be the most authentic - best Indian restaurant in Leipzig!

After we had already eaten here, we discovered the option of having it delivered or, in our case, picking it up. It wasn't the first time that we ordered here by phone and were able to receive the food a short time later. As always, this was very tasty and plentiful. The lassi is also excellent, the service is very nice and committed. We will definitely order again and if it suits us, we will also go to the restaurant to eat.

The food would actually be delicious, but the service was not professional and very aggressive. I ordered lamb vindaloo with the comment that I wanted it very spicy. Plus extra coriander leaves (I love coriander!...) which were available in many other dishes, but not in Vindaloo. I have been able to order them with vindaloo without any problems at all the Indian restaurants I have visited so far. Food came. I didn't get coriander. Justification that it would not suit the court. I asked again if it wasn't still possible. No. That doesn't fit. I could get parsley and garlic. I didn't want to. I got it anyway. And when it comes to spiciness, I was used to something different from other restaurants. When I asked, I was told that you only get “50% spiciness” on your first visit. Even though I ordered "very spicy"??? In terms of taste, the sauce was okay, a little thin/watered down and the aforementioned spiciness was missing. My partner's lamb curry was even less spicy and very tomato-heavy. The lamb shank that he actually ordered wasn't there. Maybe you should believe the guest that he or she has certain preferences and wishes instead of changing orders.

The chef must take a cooking course.

Indian food adapted for the European stomach. If you want to have your first experience with Indian cuisine, you've come to the right place. As a fan of Indian cuisine, I also got my money's worth here. The situation outside is a bit disadvantageous, but they made the best of it.

Had paneer karahi and shahi paneer asked them to make Indian spicy. Had a nice meal and a nice time. I would go again if I visit Leipzig again.

We went there for dinner on May 8th because this Indian place was recommended to me. And we were all very impressed. From the service to the food and the price, everything was right for us. We are really happy to recommend this restaurant and look forward to visiting it again. Many thanks to the great team there.

The food is super delicious. I can especially recommend the butter chicken, chili chicken and anything with cheese. The service is fast and the innkeeper is very competent and friendly. He also has a joke here and there. 😄 I really enjoy eating here and the price-performance ratio is great.

We actually have a different native Indian, but now I'm wondering whether we should change after years. ;) If definitely to Maharaja. It was super tasty. There was nothing to complain about in terms of service and the terrace faced the street, but it didn't bother us after 10 minutes.

Had a delicious meal here tonight. We had chosen number 161, a menu for two to eat. Tasted different dishes, they all tasted equally delicious. They were also just spicy enough. Service was very friendly.

Our daughter's birthday meal request was Indian cuisine. What a disappointment this restaurant was almost across the board. Despite reservations, we were given a space between the toilet and the kitchen folding doors, which were often kicked open and from which the sound of microwave people could be heard at short, regular intervals. We still found the plastic tulips standing in the water on the table entertaining. The food was the biggest disappointment. The standard sauces without the typical Indian spice aroma were cold, as was the rice and our mixed starter plate was covered in dough beyond recognition. The accompanying sauces were served after consumption and made it clear that the kitchen was completely overwhelmed. The service questioned our satisfaction, but despite repeated references to the cold food, no reheating was offered. Those who want to quickly fill their stomachs after football will be catered for, but those who want to enjoy Indian cuisine should look for another restaurant.

There were four of us in the restaurant. Service was very bad! We waited forever for food and then the dishes were all served individually. A dish came 30 minutes later. Food itself was good.

Beautifully located, with a small terrace facing the street, very tasty food in large portions and service that was absolutely friendly and accommodating.

Super friendly and attentive service staff, very tasty food. It's a cozy atmosphere in itself, but you sit a little close together with the other guests and the restaurant is not wheelchair friendly as there is only stair access. Therefore a star deduction for the atmosphere. There is no parking lot and the parking options are quite limited, otherwise great.

Price/performance ratio fits...really good quality...as Europeans we underestimate the "Indian spiciness"...so you can...you should be grateful if the waiter advises you to be careful when you( n) choose a very spicy dish!;-))) We can only recommend the mango/passion fruit nightcap... easy to reach by public transport... no stress if you stay at the table for a longer period of time and chat... there's another way... see Munich ...

It was super tasty, something different, we'll be back

We reserved a table for 6 p.m. on March 16th because we wanted to go to the Falco Musical afterwards. We then stood in front of the door in the cold with about 10 people who had also reserved for 6 p.m. But there were no tables available for everyone The waiter said (only when asked) that they can wait outside for 30 minutes. But no one wanted to be ripped off! We then distributed ourselves to other restaurants.Vitnamese and Italian.Reservations are ignored!

There were four of us and we had ordered between 5 and 7 p.m. At first everything worked well, even though the tables were so narrow that you could hardly sit comfortably, let alone move. We were immediately asked for drinks and food. Everything came pretty quickly. Taste ok, but not outstanding. We hadn't yet properly chewed the last bite when we were presented with the bill. (It was 5:40 p.m. at this point) We communicated that we didn't want a bill yet, but rather a dessert. This happened again in no time and shortly afterwards we were asked if we would be sitting for a long time…. We confirmed that we had ordered until 7 p.m. and would like to have something more to drink. At around 7:00 p.m. we sent for the bill, which consisted of two pieces of paper and was incorrect. Then corrected by hand. Payment by card only with the objection that cash payment would be better. I wouldn't go there again, even though we noticed that there was a concert in the arena and many people wanted to go out for dinner beforehand. But then the restaurant should coordinate better and refuse a reservation if it is full. It looked like a previous school lunch. I wouldn't recommend it.

THE PLACE IS A RISK: We had reservations for 6 p.m. today. At 6 p.m. the restaurant was packed and there was no more space. It was also not foreseeable that anything would become available. There was a long line in front of the restaurant, everyone had reservations. The restaurateurs should also pay compensation if they do not honor the reservation.

We chose the Indian restaurant because of its very good rating and were able to enjoy an excellent vegetarian meal. When we ordered, our wishes were taken into account and our food was adjusted accordingly. We felt comfortable and are looking forward to the next visit.

Despite a reservation, the food was sent out again very late and only when requested and not complete (!). I would say it tasted pretty good, but you can get chicken more tender. Overall, the service was just bad, when glasses and plates remained on the table for ages and the clearing process was interrupted when it took place after an hour...oh yes, only offering rice refills when everyone has long since eaten is the best. Completely cramped seating area and then poorly ventilated. The question as to whether it would be possible to pay in cash for a high 3-digit sum instead of paying by card... mhh :D

We spent a lovely evening in this restaurant. Very tasty food. I had tandoori chicken and pakoras as a starter. Even my friend, who is originally from Pakistan and is usually very critical, was really excited. Fast and friendly service even though the store was packed (we recommend making a reservation). We also really liked the music in the dining room. We'll definitely be back!

Nice place to eat authentic Indian food.

Very good Indian restaurant. The starters first class as well as the accompanying sauces and the main course are traditional like in India. You can tell that everything is freshly prepared and the waiters are very polite and hospitable. Great ambience with pleasant background music. One of the best Indian restaurants in Leipzig. Essen sehr lecker, aber Naanbrot viel zu teuer und dünner, als früher, dazu nicht mehr frisch gemacht:-( trotzdem lecker!

Essen lecker. Nur schnell kalt, da keine Wärmeplatte o.ä. (Reis kam auch schon kalt.) Leider keine Kartenzahlung möglich, unnötige rechthaberische Diskussion, dass Bargeld für das Restaurant besser sei. Keine Parkplätze, trotz Aussicht bei telefonischer Reservierung. Ambiente: eng und zugig, sehr voll bei anstehender Veranstaltung in der Arena. Achtung: reduzierte Speisekarte bei Veranstaltung. Zugang für Gehbehinderte schwer zu meistern.

Tolles Ambiente, sehr nettes Personal und natürlich war das Essen super. Und mein Lieblingsgetränk "Mangolassi" superlecker!

Wir waren gestern zu 7. bei dem Inder. Wir wurden freundlich bedient und das Essen hat klasse geschmeckt. Einzig das Ambiente könnte gemütlicher und schöner sein. Ein Fenster aufmachen für frische Luft wäre auch klasse. Ansonsten super.

Sehr leckeres Essen, für jeden Gaumen was dabei

Einmal im Jahr vorm Fußball auf ein paar Drinks dort. Sehr netter Laden, Essen macht nen kkasse Eindruck.

Das Essen war ganz okey. Der Geschmack war leider etwas schwach. Von der indischen Küche erwarte ich das gewisse Etwas. Die vorhergehenden Bewertungen bezüglich der Kartenzahlung haben sich bestätigt. Der Kellner hat gefragt, ob ich auch in Bar zahlen kann. Dies habe ich verneint und anschließend mit Karte gezahlt. Ich finde das Vorgehen unhöflich.

Sehr solides Essen, auch wenn ich das Gefühl habe, dass er Geschmack etwas eingedeutscht ist. Wir hatten das Shahi Korma und das Butter Chicken und vorweg das Papadum und Garlic Naan. Alles sehr lecker, wobei das Butter Chicken wirklich sehr salzig war, nicht versalzen, aber viel hat nicht gefehlt. Weiß nicht ob das Butter Chicken immer so ist oder ob der Salzstreuer "ausgerutscht" ist.

Es war eine angenehme Atmosphäre, das Essen war lecker und die Bedienung funktionierte schnell.

Der spontane Besuch im Maharadscha hat sich definitiv gelohnt. Ich habe lange nicht mehr so gut indisch gegessen. Alle Speisen waren wirklich lecker und sehr gut abgeschmeckt. Von Reis angefangen, wo man die einzeln Gewürze herausschmecken konnte die verwendet wurden, über das Raita (noch nie habe ich besseres gegessen) sowie das bestellte Paneer. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und ging auf alle Wünsche ein. Ich werde auf jeden Fall nicht das letzte Mal hier gegessen haben!

Das Essen war mit Aromastoffen überfüllt. Die Toiletten waren eine Zumutung und der Preis des Essens war deutlich über dem Niveu was ich bisher von Indischem Essen gewohnt war.

Essen war okay. Zu viel Kümmel im Reis . Lage ist wirklich unglücklich wenn man draußen sitzen möchte. Es war laut und ungemütlich. Beim Gang zur Toilette schaut man unverweigerlich in die Küche und da war es dann bei mir vorbei. Die Küche war eine Katastrophe.

Wir wollten in die Quarterback Arena zu Sascha Grammel und dachten andere wollen dort bestimmt auch noch was essen vor der Veranstaltung und wir bekommen bestimmt keinen Tisch ohne Reservierung. Hatten sogar noch freie Plätze auf der Terrasse. Essen war sehr gut. Einziges Manko war das wir Cola bekommen haben und Spezi bestellt war. Kommen gerne wieder.
