Dhaka Curry in Leipzig

We ordered a table, the employees stood outside, we greeted them warmly and walked past them and sat down at a table and waited. After waiting a quarter of an hour, we had enough. No waitress was interested in us. Now I understand why no one is ever in there. We ordered a table especially for our wedding anniversary, but experience has shown me that the guest is not valued there. We then went to Sternhöhe, where you are still valued as a guest, we are also German!!!

The food is very tasty, but since we were the only ones, we had to wait a long time before anyone showed up or we had to make ourselves noticed. The ambience is cozy with Indian music.

Simple restaurant on the main street, friendly service, very tasty food at a reasonable price, freshly cooked.

We wanted to eat Indian food and this restaurant seemed interesting. What we didn't know is that you have to be very patient and take your time. A small restaurant with a very nice owner and very polite service. The food is freshly and lovingly prepared and tastes very good. The only criticism is the really long waiting time. Preparing the food and even bringing the drinks takes longer than average. We observed several guests who didn't wait that long and then left. It took a good hour for the starter to arrive. You should know that. I really hope that the owner can get this under control and improve it. Then you can recommend this restaurant without hesitation if you want to eat authentic Indian food. The prices are also really good, we've had worse, much more expensive food.

Today we tried two different curries with chicken and the Bhatura. Everything tasted very tasty. So far we haven't had better Indian food in Leipzig. In addition, the service was very nice. We liked everything and we can definitely recommend the Dhaka Curry.

We waited three quarters of an hour for our drinks and a total of one and a half hours for our starters. Food was okay, but I've definitely had better naan. If you have the patience to wait that long for your food, you can go. Otherwise, really nothing for the impatient or if you have subsequent appointments. A real shame.

Little Indian Place. The owner is very welcoming and the food is freshly made. We ordered starters and three different mains. All were really tasty and very well made. The restaurant might not be a posh place but give it a chance and you won’t be disappointed.

I often order from Lieferando. I've never had such good butter chicken. Just fantastic. Last time the NAN was baked just a little too spicy. Otherwise always great.

The dishes are very tasty and the friendly waiter gives you good advice. Only ordering/receiving drinks and paying takes a little too long. But if you have some time, the wait is definitely worth it, the dishes are freshly prepared and at very fair prices.

To be honest, I would never have gone in from the outside because it looks like a snack bar. Following a recommendation, four of us were there today and we didn't regret it. Ambiance is thrown together but somehow authentic. The food is fantastic and the waiter (presumably also the owner?) was incredibly welcoming. We had to wait quite a long time for the food, but the prices for what was on offer were unbeatable. I can only strongly recommend giving the restaurant a chance - but definitely make a reservation in advance!

My companion and I came across the inconspicuous Indian restaurant through the Schlemmerblock. There will definitely be more visits. The furnishings have something of an Indian living room. Colorful and yet more space than it seems. Suitable music plays in the background at a pleasant volume. The card has a wide range on offer. The food here is freshly prepared to order. In addition, the restaurant is currently run by three people. Therefore, you should allow some waiting time. You just have to know this in advance and be able to adapt to it. You get wonderful authentic food that is truly a 10/10. I always underestimate the portion size. We were more than full afterwards. We kept eating simply because of the great taste. 😅😍 Tandoori and the chicken dishes are recommended. The mango chicken was sweet and fruity. Meat tender. Naan bread is soft and with a fluffy texture (which was swapped for rice upon request). A delicious mango lassi was a must during the visit. Price performance surprised us very positively. We felt very comfortable at all times and the service was attentive and friendly.

We last ate there with a larger group and everyone was very enthusiastic about the atmosphere and the delicious, typical Indian food! The boss is also very personable. A clear recommendation for every Leipzig resident to stop by!! We are already looking forward to the next visit and the next taste experience!

A small, very cozy Indian restaurant where you should definitely make a reservation! Even though it took a little longer for the food to be on the table, it tasted so fantastic and was so authentic and also looked so extremely homemade that you were happy to wait a little longer. In addition, the prices are really very fair. It was our first time here but definitely not the last time! Big praise also to the very likeable boss!

We stood in front of the closed door, even though it was already opening time. I called and said that we were at the door - this was not understood for ages. Well, then we were let in. The food was average at best. It was cold.

I ordered several dishes online. The stated delivery time was 30 minutes. After 1.5 hours I called the restaurant. I was told that no order had been received and that I should contact Lieferando. I was told on the phone that the order had been accepted by the restaurant and was being prepared in the system. We hope we get the money back and I won't order there again in the future. The evening is ruined. Ordered at 7:50 p.m. put off at 9:15 p.m. and now ordered new food which should be delivered at 10:30 p.m. Unfortunately had a bad experience.

Ein kleines Restaurant, welches von außen eher unscheinbar wirkt. Das Essen war unglaublich lecker. Obwohl relativ viele Variationen auf der Karte stehen, schmecken alle Gerichte wirklich erkennbar unterschiedlich und daher fällt die Auswahl sehr schwer.

Essen ist wirklich richtig gut und auch eine ordentliche Portion. Kann man uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Man muss aber etwas Wartezeit mitbringen, Sonderwünsche werden manchmal vergessen und man sollte immer nochmal die Rechnung vorm Bezahlen checken. Aber aktiv wegen dem Essen trotzdem sehr empfehlenswert!

Ich muss zugeben, dass ich zuerst etwas skeptisch war, ob die zwei jungen Männer das hinbekommen. Tatsächlich muss man etwas Zeit mitbringen, aber das Essen ist das Warten allemal wert. Super lecker und mit sehr freundlichem Service (wir bekamen sogar die Zubereitung unserer Dips erklärt). Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Von außen unscheinbar, inne herzlich. Zuvorkommendes, freundliches Personal. Angemessene Preise, vernünftige Portionsgrössen, angenehm gewürzt. Große Auswahl an verschiedenen Fleischgerichten, vegetarischen und veganen Gerichten. Vorspeisen, Suppen, Brote und Desserts. Empfehlenswert.

Essen sehr gut und absolut angemessene Preise. Personal sehr freundlich. Räumlichkeiten waren etwas sehr eng und kalt. Aber das ist der einzige kleine Makel.

Wunderbar fantastisch einfach toll... Das Essen war bis jetzt das beste an Indisch was ich in L. E. gegessen habe... Drin kann man echt hübsch sitzen und das beste alle Speisen werden frisch zubereitet... Lohnt sich mega und auch bei den echt bezahlbaren Preisen :) Wir kommen definitiv wieder ;)

Man erwartet eigentlich an diesem Ort NICHT solch ein perfektes Essen. Aber es hat wirklich alles gepasst: eine aufmerksame Bedienung, frisches Kingfisher Bier, hervorragend gewürzte Currys und gut gebackenes Naan. Lage und Ambiente können da leider nicht mithalten, aber jeder muss mal irgendwie anfangen..., und hier könnte echt ein neuer Stern am Leipziger Restaurant Himmel aufgehen. Das Dhaka sollte man sich merken. Top!

Bester Inder der Stadt! Ich esse regelmäßig und gerne indisch. Doch nirgends schmeckt es so gut.

Sehr kleines Restaurant mit Aussensitz. Bis auf die Plastikblumen und die eigenwillige Beleuchtung ist es schön eingerichtet. Der Freisitz ist leider zur Hauptstraße raus. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett und erklärt sogar das Essen was man vor sich stehen hat. Das Essen ist richtig gut. Kräuter, Früchte, Gewürze. Man kann alles raus schmecken. Das gibt's wirklich kaum noch wo anders. Noch mal Dank an die Küche. Bleibt so! Wir kommen defintiv wieder. Achtung keine EC Kartenzahlung.

Wer wirklich richtig Indisch essen gehen möchte ist hier genau richtig. Essen sehr lecker! Super Gastfreundlich. Habe dort meinen Geburtstag gefeiert und unerwartet ein tolles Geschenk bekommen. Wenn wir in der Nähe sind kommen wir gerne wieder!
