Masala Darbar in Lübeck

The food (falafel) was okay. The restaurant was cold (the door was open—in winter!). We were the only ones there. You had to get your own cutlery and drinks. The whole place felt like a fast-food joint. And it was too expensive for that. The restrooms were a disaster. Both urinals were out of order. There were no towels.

I've been eating at your restaurant for two years now and I'm very, very satisfied. The owner and staff are very friendly and the food is delicious.

Me and my sister visited here for lunch during our visit to Lübeck and we tried Shawarma Arabi & Shawarma Rolle XL. This was probably the best shawarma we had in the whole of Germany. We have had shawarma in India and Middle East too and we would say the shawarma served here is absolutely delicious.

Had crispy chicken and shawarma today. They only serve chicken shawarma. The restaurant is really clean, with a view of the kitchen. And it's warm. Compared to other restaurants, it's quiet without music, which makes it pleasant for sensitive people. The shawarma and the crispy chicken baguette taste very good, as you'd expect from other restaurants, but you can taste the slightly individual touch in the sauce. Very good! The crispy chicken was crispy on the outside and nice and juicy on the inside. Always a better choice than a kebab :)

I noticed that many reviews here refer to the previous Indian restaurant, Masala dabar, which is now on Pfaffenstraße (highly recommended ;-) !!!!) This is a different restaurant, however, serving Syrian cuisine!!! That's what my review refers to. Unfortunately, the menu only includes a few vegetarian dishes, otherwise it's meat-heavy, but the very friendly service attentively asked if the sauce in the dish was supposed to be vegan. Overall, we found the term "restaurant" a bit exaggerated – drinks served in plastic cups, cutlery essentially for self-service, a good snack bar with nice seating probably describes it better. The food was a bit dry overall, so we got extra sauce. The "coleslaw" was iceberg lettuce and parsley without any dressing. The pickled radish was a bit woody and tasted a bit musty, as did the pickle – either a special spice unfamiliar to German palates, or the jar had been open for too long? We won't attempt it again. Syrian cuisine can be colorful and rich, even for vegetarians and vegans—I didn't get my money's worth here. The friendly advice and very friendly service are worth mentioning. While it's certainly great as a snack, this is unfortunately not a restaurant in the traditional sense.

The meat in the shawarma always causes diarrhea towards the end of the week. So don't go there on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Every other day of the week gives you brutal bloating. At least, that's my experience. It tastes okay, BUT you can get the same thing cheaper and without stomach problems elsewhere.

Hier kommt jeder Geschmack voll auf seine Kosten , da es die Gerichte auch in Veganer Variante gibt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, das Masala Darbar ist sehr empfehlenswert wenn man in Lübeck zu Besuch ist. Das einzige Manko ist das man dort nicht mit Karte bezahlen, sondern nur mit Bargeld.

Yesterday I got a charwarma roll and because I didn't have much time I ate it out of my hand. I was able to watch the preparation and ask the owner a few questions about what kind of meat was on the skewer, etc., and I learned that he makes the skewers himself. Almost all the ingredients are made by the owner himself. I liked the shawarma roll very much. It wasn't as heavily seasoned as a Turkish Dürüm. It had a note of garlic and lemon and didn't feel too heavy in the stomach after eating, although it kept me full for hours. The price is appropriate. All in all I was very satisfied. Thanks for the food.

To be honest, I recommend trying the humble restaurant because the food is very good and the owner of the restaurant is very respectful. The first restaurant to date made me feel that they were my restaurant and my only concern was to please the customer with the good food, noticeable generosity and cleanliness and the prices are very very reasonable compared to many restaurants seriously. Dieses Restaurant hat durchgängig geöffnet, so dass wir bereits ruhig um 17:00 Uhr essen konnten. Wir gehen sehr oft indisch essen, und dieses Restaurant ist wirklich toll. Neben den typischen indischem gibt es auch Gerichte, die man sonst auf der Karte nicht findet. Sehr zu empfehlen ist das Ballon Brot, und wer es nicht scharf mag, das Chicken Korma. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett und aufmerksam. In die Küche kann man reinschauen und die Zubereitung beobachten. Man kann mit Karte zahlen. Wer indisch in Lübeck essen will- unbedingt hingehen, da sowohl das Essen wie auch der Preis hier absolut stimmen.

gutes kleines indisches Restaurant in der Lübecker Innenstadt, leider etwas versteckt. Ich war hier zum 2. mal essen (das erste Mal hatte mir aber noch besser gefallen, vielleicht hat ja der Inhaber oder der Koch gewechselt?), netter Service. Ich hatte Dal kann Shorba (5,90 Euro), Chicken madras (indisch scharf für 8,90 Euro) und eine Cola Zero (4,50 Euro). Alles sehr lecker, natürlich musste ich wieder mal nachschärfen, weil man mich nicht ernst nimmt. Die Cola finde ich allerdings zu teuer....

Schmackhaftes Essen in kleinem Rahmen. Uns hat es gut geschmeckt. Wenn scharf dran stand, war es auch scharf. Bitte reservieren. Es lohnt sich dort hin zu gehen. Auch vegetarische Speisen und Vorspeisen vegetarisch möglich. Die Portionen wirken nicht groß, reichen aber auch für gute Esser. Schön angerichtet. Auch in kleinen Förmchen. Teller zum Teil mit Abplatzern, Toilette im Haus nebenan. Einrichtung könnte gemütlicher sein. Schön war, dass der Kellner unsere Bestellung wiederholte. Warm durch die offene Küche, bei einstelligen Temperaturen kann nur kurz, aber effektiv, per geöffneter Tür gelüftet werden. Preis Leistungsverhältnis angemessen. 72 € für 2 Naan Brote ( Käse und Knobi), Panner Salat, Chicken Channer Masala ( mittelscharf), Darbar Mixed Platte, 2 kleine, 1 großes Wasser und 1 Duckstein.

Restaurant juste à côté de l'avenue principale, les plats sont bien épicés et copieux , bon rapport qualité-prix. Le byriani aux légumes était très bon et se tient au chaud pendant le repas grâce à la bougie. Servi assez rapidement cela n'est a priori du surgelé.
