First visit today and great service. The beer tastes good and rivals the longest bar in the world. The food is very good.

A cozy, family-run brewery with a harmonious ambiance and an integrated brewery. The LYKKE tasting board, featuring Pilsner, Lager, and house beer, is a great way to get acquainted with the variety of in-house beers—all natural and unfiltered. The food was also good and paired perfectly with the beer. Friendly service, a pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended for a relaxing evening in Glücksburg.

While the beer was delicious, the ambiance pleasant, and the service friendly, the food was unfortunately not up to par. The dishes on offer (fish and chips/omelet) simply lacked flavor and individuality.

A visit to the Marktwirtschaft is a must on any Glücksburg vacation. Delicious food, reasonable prices, and very friendly staff. Unfortunately, the tables in the back are very small and placed very close together, making it difficult to move. But the delicious food and the pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant more than make up for it.

See photos We've been here several times and have always been very impressed. We reserved a table for the kale evening. This evening completely won us over. Not only were we surprised by the beautifully set tables, but the dishes of the 5-course menu were also beautifully prepared and very tasty. The service was, as always, very friendly and attentive. All in all, it was a very successful evening. We hope this won't be the last evening with this concept. We will be happy to visit this location again. Thank you for the lovely evening with you.

Absolutely! A low-key, modern-rustic ambiance. Dedicated and well-informed staff. A menu that offers a wonderful selection of dishes. Classics like cabbage rolls, Labskaus, and roasted liver are also included. The in-house brewery and unusual spirits round out the offerings. Absolutely delicious. We felt very comfortable here.

Pretty steep, especially the prices for the food. For four sausages, I can get a full meal with salad and bread elsewhere. If you can't take criticism, you shouldn't offer fries for €6.50 and then wonder why customers aren't coming. Our local restaurateurs should take a look at what their competitors are doing. There are other ways.

I had the tasting board with four beers. All delicious, home-brewed beers. My personal recommendation is the pale ale! Definitely worth a visit. The service was very friendly.

Without a doubt one of my favorite breweries in the region. If anyone knows anything about brewing, it's Stefan! The lager and the house beer, a super-aromatic Märzen, are absolutely amazing! And the food deserves seven stars anyway; both the dishes that are permanently on the menu and the weekly specials are highly recommended.

A small but fine brewery. In addition to the menu of small snacks and creative cold dishes (good bread as the basis for very creative smörebröd), there are a changing selection of dishes. The quality is good and the prices are reasonable. The home-brewed beer is excellent. Whoever brews here knows exactly what they're doing. A large selection that you can try first without getting completely drunk. The service team is friendly; you feel at home, regardless of age. The ambiance is pleasant, which is also helped by the music selection. There are always good live events. A visit is definitely worth it. Dogs are welcome if they are well-behaved. Update 2024: The kitchen, like the entire restaurant, has been very professionally and skillfully developed. Highly recommended, as the concept ensures that different generations can feel at home. Update 2025: The high standard of food and drinks, as well as the excellent service, has been maintained; the concept still works very well. And all at still acceptable prices.

We recently spent an evening here and felt very comfortable. The atmosphere is cozy, the decor is modern-rustic, and the service is competent and friendly without being intrusive. The menu is regionally and seasonally oriented (which we particularly liked), and they serve their own beer (LYKKE). I especially enjoyed the LYKKE house drink. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time, but they also offer tastings and tours where you can get a glimpse behind the scenes. We'll be back for those another time!

Simply recommended. Please don't compare it to a restaurant. Food is more like in a brewery, hearty and snacks etc. But there are also always special promotions with weekly specials. The cheese spaetzle was way too salty. The brewery schnitzel was okay. Potato salad from a bucket. The side salad was a few peppers from a jar. Since we complained, at least we didn't have to pay. That was very fair.

Our recent visit to the Marktwirtschaft Glücksburg was a mixed blessing. We were a group of five and unlucky enough to be seated right by a window, which offered a lovely view but also a fresh breeze that could be annoying, especially on cooler days. Another thing that caught our attention was the unpleasant smell from the kitchen that permeated our table. We found the food a bit overpriced, even though the quality was generally impressive. However, the service deserves special mention – attentive but unobtrusive. We felt well looked after without the waitress being overly intrusive. All in all, a place with potential, if you can overlook a few shortcomings.

Awesome brewery... very nice, unusual atmosphere. The beers are simply wonderful. We had the beer schnitzel and the Galloway steak for dinner. It was pure enjoyment. We've been here before!

As a guest who has known Lykke and the Marktwirtschaft from the very beginning, I would like to leave a few lines with a few references to previous reviews. The beginning four years ago was somewhat rocky, as, as is the case everywhere in the restaurant industry, there was a lack of staff. Nevertheless, the entire team always gave their all to ensure the guest's satisfaction. I'm always understanding when things go wrong; I experienced this myself on one of my first visits. Mr. Uphoff promptly came to the table and explained the situation. Precisely because empathetic people work here and are open to criticism, the service gets full marks. Food: We've eaten at the Marktwirtschaft several times in the last four weeks. From the changing weekly menu, we had: "Slice of Chicken Breast" and "Char Filets," and last weekend we were guests at the anniversary celebration and enjoyed leg of beef with gratin and salad. I found the lime-dill sauce with the char so delicious, I wanted to lick the plate clean. Considering that this is a brewery kitchen, I find the quality and variety of the food outstanding. So, full marks. On the subject of beer: there were comments from guests that the beers weren't "convincing." As a brewer, I'd like to say the following: The big difference is that these beers are brewed entirely by hand, not filtered or pasteurized. It's very easy to add so many hops to a brew that you can't taste the actual beer anymore. A popular technique in the craft beer scene. But if you're trying to brew the best possible beer with as few different ingredients as possible, Lykke is the right place for you. I love tasting the differences, especially in the bottom-fermented beers. Conclusion: great, handcrafted beers that aren't run-of-the-mill. So, full marks.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't very good and was way too expensive. Several people went there, and no one really enjoyed it. Afterward, there wasn't enough cake for all the guests who attended. We won't go back.

Zum Abendessen haben wir das schon von außen sehr ansprechende Brauhaus aufgesucht und spontan einen schönen kleinen Tisch angeboten bekommen. Das Interieur war sehr stimmig, mit Markenemblem aus Moos an der Wand und alles im Industrial-Style. Das ansprechende Logo fand sich auch auf dem Geschirr wieder, so dass wir den Eindruck bekommen haben, dass den Betreibern das Gesamterlebnis eines Essens auch von einem Gesamtkonzept getragen wird. Sehr angenehm war auch der stets freundliche Service. Auch als Nicht-Bierkenner lohnt sich der Besuch, da man die aktuellen Biersorten (4 Stück) schön in kleinen Portionen probieren kann, hierzu werden "Probierbretter" in unterschiedlichen Dimensionen gereicht. Das macht Spaß. Die Küche ist jetzt nicht mega anspruchsvoll, aber eben besonders pfiffig und deutlich anders, als typische Brauhausküche, daher gibt es von uns die vollen fünf Sterne für diesen Abend

Beautifully decorated brewery in the center of Glücksburg... The staff was friendly, and the drinks and food we ordered were delivered promptly. The only downside for us was the taste of the beers served...not a single one really impressed us (unfortunately). Nevertheless, it was a great evening at the Marktwirtschaft, and we felt really comfortable there!

The price-performance ratio for the brewery platter for two people wasn't good. It was too expensive. The much-praised bread was too hard and tasted stale. Instead, there were plenty of small pretzels to nibble on. I can't recommend the platter.

Beer schnitzel not 80 g of meat, but the thick breading that wasn't baked through, a fatty mass, the second meal was lukewarm and completely over salted. No response from the condition.

We were here for the second time today. We are very impressed with the concept: the selection of dishes, freshness, taste paired with the great selection of drinks and the really outstanding brewed beers really offer a great overall package. I would particularly like to emphasize the really attentive and thoughtful service. So a really big cinema for this fine restaurant. You can tell the owners' demands for quality and standard. The only point I would like to address: I would like a little more variety in vegan dishes. I am sure that individual wishes will be addressed. I've had enough so far. But maybe something else is possible? Nevertheless, we would be happy to come back and would also be happy to welcome guests from out of town to enjoy it.

At Brauhaus Marktwirtschaft, you can treat yourself to delicious local specialties and pair them with some fantastic beer from the Lykke brewery. The atmosphere is wonderfully cozy—think warm lighting, good vibes, and the gentle hum of happy beer lovers. You might find yourself at what appears to be a hilariously tiny table, but trust me, there’s always enough room for beer (and that’s what really matters). I highly recommend going for a beer tasting with up to six different brews—it’s like a fun little flavor adventure. Our personal favorite? The Belgian Blond. But hey, the only way to find your favorite is to start tasting!

Der Tisch war reserviert, wir wurden freundlich empfangen. Das Lykke-Bier aus der Hausbrauerei war ausgezeichnet und lecker, die Weinkarte enthielt genügend Alter-nativen. Wir haben uns für Fish'n Chips und Bratheringe mit Bratkartoffeln entschieden Beides hat uns gut geschmeckt, war ordentlich in der Präsentation und entsprach genau dem, was wir von einer guten Brauhaus-Küche erwartet haben.

We went there after completing a 14-KM hike in the area. Reserved a table through messenger and got a nice table by the window. Super fast and informative service. We enjoying a few tasty own-brewed beers and a delicious meal. (Nachos and bier-schnitzel + dessert for sharing). The location and the vibe indoors are perfect, and we can only recommend.

Wir waren mit Freunden an Silvester in der Marktwirtschaft. Und das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Sehr zu empfehlen. Der Service war perfekt Ich war schon öfter in der Marktwirtschaft und immer mit Freunden und wir sind alle begeistert. Gerade die kleine Karte der Gerichte finden wir toll. We came across the restaurant spontaneously on Boxing Day and we would definitely come back! In addition to the beautiful, modern furnishings with a great integrated kitchen and large copper kettles in the restaurant, what was immediately noticeable was the super friendly and typically North German, relaxed service. The food (Spätzle and Tagliatelle) was delicious, as were the brewed beers. Price-performance very good. In addition to the particularly nice service, I also noticed (as a childless man) that families with small children are taken into account in the concept. In addition to a children's card and high seats, there is also a lower mirror on the toilet. I think that's really nice and shows that a lot of thought and effort was put into the furnishings. Keep it up! :)

Auch die Marktwirtschaft Glücksburg besuchten wir in unserem einwöchigen Urlaub und konnten von Glück sagen, dass wir im Vorfeld für sechs Personen reserviert hatten, denn als wir unter der Woche um 18.30 Uhr ankamen, waren alle (!) Tische restlos besetzt. Bis auf den einen Tisch, den wir reserviert hatten. Zu sechst haben wir uns relativ abwechslungsreich durch die Karte gegessen und es gab u.a. Glücksburger Bierschnitzel, Käsespätzle und ich hatte die sensationell leckeren Bratheringe. Und natürlich haben wir auch das selbst gebraute und sehr süffige Lykke Bier verkostet. Absolut empfehlenswert und wir kommen wieder.

It's exciting to see how great beer is created with a lot of passion and craftsmanship in a very small company. Nils' leadership was great. Sehr rustikales stylisches Ambiente, mit Sicht auf die Brauanlage. Wir waren in einer großen Gruppe da (> 20 Personen), vielleicht etwas mehr als angemeldet, war aber kein Problem, es wurden Stühle und Tische für uns herbei geholt und so gestellt, dass alle Platz hatten. Sehr nette aufmerksame Bedienung, da arbeiten die richtigen Menschen für diesen Beruf. Gutes Essen mit viel Auswahl, westfälisch angehaucht (der Inhaber stammt aus Münster). Da kann man allein oder auch in großen Gruppen hingehen. Ach ja: das Bier ist sehr gut, der Geschmack außergewöhnlich, ich empfehle den Kellertrunk.

The shop was well attended but it probably took a long time to supply the guests who were already waiting. No greeting, no look... nothing and when we left after about 15 minutes there was no reaction either... It's a shame, a short comment would have been enough, such as: B. Unfortunately it takes a little longer... that would have been an appreciative gesture... but perhaps only regular guests are served on Fridays. No fear! We won't be coming back. We had 3 meals (beer schnitzel, potato pancakes and kässpätzle). The taste is good but the quantity is mixed. Although you get a reasonable portion of the main course, you get ridiculously little of the additions (side salad, potato salad, etc.). Since this point is even pointed out on the website and the offer of being able to reorder at any time, I did so. Unfortunately, I was unlucky that the (otherwise nice) waitress forgot it on the way from our table to the kitchen. After we asked, I actually got another small portion of potato salad. We decided not to order the side salad (eaten with two forks). Price/performance ratio is inadequate for us compared to the surrounding area. Too bad. Had potential...

The service was consistently very attentive and friendly. There is a good selection of vegetarian dishes. Fortunately, these are not just meat-free but creatively prepared.

We really enjoyed our visit. Even I, who usually prefers wine, liked the beers (there were a few very mild versions), the owner really took a lot of time to talk to us and the food???? A 12 out of 10!!!! 😂 So delicious!!! You would even have received a second helping, but the portion was already so much that we went home full and satisfied. A very successful evening. We can highly recommend the brewery. Everything was perfect here!

We also became aware of the restaurant through Maike Süßer. Unfortunately there was no greeting from the two service staff who stood behind the counter and we were initially ignored. There were only two other guests there besides us, so everything was actually quite relaxed. The menus should be replaced with new ones because they were very dirty. Our food was average, the beer wasn't to our liking. The prices are quite high, both for food and drinks. It was an experience, but we wouldn't come here again.

We also became aware of the market economy through My Local, Your Local and ate there during our short vacation at the sea. The ambience suits the brewery perfectly and the Lykke Pils is also delicious and fresh. We guess that there weren't enough staff in the kitchen, otherwise we wouldn't have had to wait 90 minutes for our food. But the nice service kept us happy and we did a good job.

The staff are friendly, but it's not possible to wait over an hour for 2 a la cart meals.

Read here that there is supposed to be the best beer in the area and tested it myself. Yes, it's true that Lykke beer, especially the lager, deserves to be called that. There are also interesting dishes on the menu and friendly staff. A cool idea is to convert a cable drum into a “bar”.

We were there to celebrate our 3rd anniversary. Great staff and great bosses always with good service and an open ear. I tried 3 types of beer and all 3 are incomparably good. I haven't had such good beer in a long time 💪🏻👍🏻🤘🏻. For the anniversary we had suckling pig with sauerkraut...really delicious. Keep it up. Thank you for letting me be there. We will be back.

Today was the 3 year anniversary of the market economy. The anniversary celebration with music and good food. Suckling pig with sauerkraut and rolls. Very tasty, I loved the sauerkraut, it was great. But also the pork, tender and juicy. Even with my stomach operated on, they understood that I could only eat very little and they accommodated us in terms of price, which is not a given. Our waiter was very friendly, as was everyone in the entire team. There is a small menu that is completely sufficient. My husband really enjoyed the home-brewed beer. We would be happy to come back and would be happy to recommend this restaurant.
