I was actually skeptical as to whether the restaurant would meet our needs. We were all pleasantly surprised. Not only were we seated well and had plenty of space, but we also had a patient and competent waiter who got along very well with our group. The food was served to everyone at once, which could be overwhelming in a kitchen since there were 8 of us at the table. Almost everyone ordered a meal from the lunch table. I had the salmon with orange sauce, it was very tasty and the cooking point was just right. My meal cost €13.50 and was really good value. Everyone else was also more than satisfied. Some also shared a bottle of Riesling. We knew the winemaker, which certainly made a good impression. We'll definitely be back.

Delicious teriyaki vegetable pan with grilled chicken for lunch. We really enjoyed it and tasted delicious in a pleasant atmosphere and nice service.

Very nice location in the Rindermarkthalle. Culinary far ahead, but something that I personally always find very important: a very friendly team! I'm a regular guest there. When the weather is good, you can sit outside and enjoy the ski jump. It's not far from the bunker and the St Pauli Stadium. What surprises me the most is that the location is big but they've managed to make it comfortable, respect

We had a mixed experience at this restaurant. The starters were excellent—our bruschetta was top-notch, and we truly appreciated the quality of their fresh olive oils and olives. However, the pizza fell short of expectations. The dough was undercooked and had a mushy texture, leaving an unpleasant raw taste. While the ingredients seemed fresh, the execution of the pizza could be improved. Overall, a great place for appetizers, but the main course left room for improvement.

Very very good food and excellent service. Something was recorded incorrectly when we ordered, but we all had little extra requests, but the way they handled it was just great. Each of us, even though only one of us had something wrong, was given a drink on the house at the end and an apology. It's rare to experience something like this today. So I can recommend the restaurant not only because of the good food, but also because of the service! Gladly again 🙂 And the rump steak here is something to be proud of. I rarely like steak in restaurants better than I do at home, but here the steak was simply perfect!

We were very impressed with the taste of the food and the portions were huge. For the vegetarian at the table, the selection was manageable, but he also went home very satisfied. To be honest, the ambience didn't really convince us; somehow you don't seem to want to decide whether you want to be a sports bar, a cozy pub, a restaurant or a train station hall. It's not bad, but not great either.

After an away win from Frankfurt 😊 we ate really well right next to the stadium.. The ambience, the service was very good and the selection of different dishes was prepared and tasted wonderful. Gladly again three points and great food.

We went to the Restaurant & Bistro Markt-König in Hamburg on three consecutive evenings, and we absolutely loved it! The service was excellent every evening: friendly, attentive and professional. The staff made us feel welcome and also responded to individual requests. The food was a highlight every time! The dishes were fresh, creative and tasted excellent. What is particularly noteworthy is the consistently high quality across all three visits. The beer also tasted very good – freshly tapped, perfectly chilled and of excellent quality. The ambience in the Markt-König invites you to linger, and the cozy atmosphere makes your stay particularly pleasant. We'll definitely be back! Conclusion: Clear recommendation for anyone looking for a restaurant in Hamburg with great food, good service and a nice atmosphere!

We went to the Markt-King as a closed group with a buffet. The food was good and plentiful. The service staff was attentive and quick, which is not easy with 100 guests. And always remained friendly and relaxed! The ambience is just a matter of taste. I just didn't find it that comfortable. But ok.

We had a good dinner here. We never had to wait for a drink refill. Only the background noise was a bit too loud for me.

The food was really amazing. I had breakfast and lunch once in this restaurant today. The breakfast was really a disgrace for the money. There were two rolls that were in the oven for absolutely too long. Totally hard. There were also 4 slices of cheese and a bowl of jam that I couldn't identify. And I paid over €10 for that along with a tea. At lunchtime I ordered kale. When it came I had no less than 4 half small potatoes on my plate, which was then filled with a small cabbage sausage and two small, fatty slices of a piece of meat that I couldn't identify, the kale went like that. And last but not least, I You can also pay €20.99 for it!!!! Impudence! This restaurant won't see me again. Rip off….

The waitresses were all very friendly and the atmosphere is very inviting and calm. The food was incredibly delicious and the best thing we have eaten in a long time! Breakfast on a Thursday seems to have been too much for the restaurant to be almost completely empty at the time (two more tables occupied). It took over 30 minutes for the cake stand with the “Koenigs Breakfast” to arrive. Unfortunately, from my perspective, the menu gives a different impression of what was delivered to us. The pancakes were filled with Nutella/chocolate cream, which unfortunately didn't suit our taste, the "fruit" was berries scattered here and there between sausage, cheese and ham, which together wouldn't even have filled a small bowl. Butter wasn't enough for 2 people, but since it costs €2 as an 'extra' it's economical. I found the selection of bread/rolls positive, but it was only frozen baked goods, very sad considering that there are 2 or 3 bakers in the market hall. After breakfast was delivered we were ignored by the staff, we ended up having to go to the waitress at the front so we could pay. For the price I could have just gone to Schweinske, the service probably would have been friendlier.

Many thanks to the very friendly service. Burgers and bruscetta were super tasty. Unfortunately the salad wasn't crispy. I would have liked it to be fresher. We liked the ambience/furnishings. The toilets were clean and modern, apart from the open drill holes, and everything was intact.

Food was delicious but the portion of pasta was too small. Service OK but just OK. Lockal too big and therefore impersonal.

The waiter was so rude and always in a rush. At first he gave our first orders and we ordered again to him and he couldn’t even stay for 10 seconds to get the order. And after a moment my friend had to get up and go to toilet and he shoved her because she was on his way. He didn’t even say “sorry” for his actions. This is not how you treat customers! The waitress had to say sorry for him instead.

I ordered a BBQ burger and it wasn't exactly a hit. The bacon wasn't fried until crispy, but rather soft and limp. Ketchup for the fries seems to be considered an exquisite luxury item here, because instead of a reasonable portion on the plate, I was given a tiny bowl, especially if ketchup wasn't the cheapest addition.

It is a big space and if you want to book sthg fora bog group it will be possible. But it is a bit on the expensive side and food i have tried was just OK.

My main criticism is the food. My salad didn't taste like anything, the bread provided was dry, the bacon on the burger was limp and the schnitzel was OK, but not good. The fries were just fries. You certainly can't go wrong. The service was friendly, but constantly waved it in front of our faces when handing out food and drinks. The ambience is nice, there are lots of places outside, but there are other places in Hamburg with nice ambience but better food.

A really nice restaurant, excellent location and lovely to sit outside in summer. The food is excellent, sometimes special things. The service was extremely courteous and nice. This is also a great location for events of all kinds. We would like to come again.

Burgers, spare ribs and craft beers in a pretty, industrial inspired setting. There's a terrace as well as a big indoor dining hall. Vegetarian options are available although limited. I had the goat cheese burger which had a sweet sauce with it that was delicious. And decent fries 👌 The staff is busy and it can take a little before they are available.

We wanted to go to the toilet for a moment and then order a portion of fries when an employee came up and grabbed my friend from behind and said "We're not a changing room here" and told us to leave the store. We found this behavior extremely unpleasant and cheeky; you should probably be allowed to use the toilet before placing your order. We will never eat here again and advise other people not to support this shop with such abusive and completely unsympathetic employees.

Price and performance are completely consistent. The taste was extremely good and my eyes really enjoyed it too. I'll come back any time.

Very nice restaurant. Good selection of food and drinks. The service is great. We had schnitzel and burgers. The schnitzel was a bit spicy, but otherwise it was good. The burger was slightly drowned in the sauce. You could also have asked if you wanted the meat cooked through. Price performance is good.
