Breakfast on a Thursday seems to have been too much for the restaurant to be almost completely empty at the time (two more tables occupied). It took over 30 minutes for the cake stand with the “Koenigs Breakfast” to arrive. Unfortunately, from my perspective, the menu gives a different impression of what was delivered to us. The pancakes were filled with Nutella/chocolate cream, which unfortunately didn't suit our taste, the "fruit" was berries scattered here and there between sausage, cheese and ham, which together wouldn't even have filled a small bowl. Butter wasn't enough for 2 people, but since it costs €2 as an 'extra' it's economical. I found the selection of bread/rolls positive, but it was only frozen baked goods, very sad considering that there are 2 or 3 bakers in the market hall. After breakfast was delivered we were ignored by the staff, we ended up having to go to the waitress at the front so we could pay. For the price I could have just gone to Schweinske, the service probably would have been friendlier.

The waitresses were all very friendly and the atmosphere is very inviting and calm. The food was incredibly delicious and the best thing we have eaten in a long time! The prices are also completely reasonable, especially for the quality you get! Redeeming the NeoTaste app was also problem-free and uncomplicated!

Many thanks to the very friendly service. Burgers and bruscetta were super tasty. Unfortunately the salad wasn't crispy. I would have liked it to be fresher. We liked the ambience/furnishings. The toilets were clean and modern, apart from the open drill holes, and everything was intact.

Mega delicious food, super friendly service and easy to find. I had the spare ribs, which were MEGA Tender and buttery soft. Not the way you actually know them with too much BBQ sauce or otherwise messed up, but perfect.

Solid burger and more restaurant.

Food was delicious but the portion of pasta was too small. Service OK but just OK. Lockal too big and therefore impersonal.

The waiter was so rude and always in a rush. At first he gave our first orders and we ordered again to him and he couldn’t even stay for 10 seconds to get the order. And after a moment my friend had to get up and go to toilet and he shoved her because she was on his way. He didn’t even say “sorry” for his actions. This is not how you treat customers! The waitress had to say sorry for him instead.

I ordered a BBQ burger and it wasn't exactly a hit. The bacon wasn't fried until crispy, but rather soft and limp. Ketchup for the fries seems to be considered an exquisite luxury item here, because instead of a reasonable portion on the plate, I was given a tiny bowl, especially if ketchup wasn't the cheapest addition.

Nice service, but very "clear" dishes that are priced high. The burger was tasty, but I (as a normal person) wasn't full.

It is a big space and if you want to book sthg fora bog group it will be possible. But it is a bit on the expensive side and food i have tried was just OK.

Das moderne Ambiente passt zur angeschlossenen Markthalle. Die Speisen sind solide zubereitet und die Art anzurichten kreativ. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

My main criticism is the food. My salad didn't taste like anything, the bread provided was dry, the bacon on the burger was limp and the schnitzel was OK, but not good. The fries were just fries. You certainly can't go wrong. The service was friendly, but constantly waved it in front of our faces when handing out food and drinks. The ambience is nice, there are lots of places outside, but there are other places in Hamburg with nice ambience but better food.

A really nice restaurant, excellent location and lovely to sit outside in summer. The food is excellent, sometimes special things. The service was extremely courteous and nice. This is also a great location for events of all kinds. We would like to come again.

Burgers, spare ribs and craft beers in a pretty, industrial inspired setting. There's a terrace as well as a big indoor dining hall. Vegetarian options are available although limited. I had the goat cheese burger which had a sweet sauce with it that was delicious. And decent fries 👌 The staff is busy and it can take a little before they are available.

We wanted to go to the toilet for a moment and then order a portion of fries when an employee came up and grabbed my friend from behind and said "We're not a changing room here" and told us to leave the store. We found this behavior extremely unpleasant and cheeky; you should probably be allowed to use the toilet before placing your order. We will never eat here again and advise other people not to support this shop with such abusive and completely unsympathetic employees.

We went here for breakfast! I ordered a bread with scrambled eggs. Cost: approx. 10 to 12 €. I viewed this offer very skeptically. When the plate arrived, I was extremely pleasantly surprised. Price and performance are completely consistent. The taste was extremely good and my eyes really enjoyed it too. I'll come back any time.

Very nice restaurant. Good selection of food and drinks. The service is great. We had schnitzel and burgers. The schnitzel was a bit spicy, but otherwise it was good. The burger was slightly drowned in the sauce. You could also have asked if you wanted the meat cooked through. Price performance is good.

I was here for the first time on March 14, 2024 and didn't regret it. The food was very good and more than sufficient. The only negative point was that the delicious fried potatoes were unfortunately only lukewarm. But otherwise perfect, the prices are also good for Hamburg standards.

Delicious food in a cool atmosphere and very nice service

We were visiting Hamburg and reserved a table for ten people at short notice, which worked. There was something on the menu for everyone, the waitress and her colleagues were super nice, the prices were reasonable and it was tasty too. What can I say...gladly again.

The evening before the theater we wanted to get something to eat centrally and ended up at Markt-König next to the Feldstrasse subway. What sounds like “Ballermann” is a modern, industrial-style restaurant. Great and comfortable seating areas, lots of large screens for football, soccer and the like. Service was quick and super friendly. When we saw the schnitzel at the next table, the order was clear - we were not disappointed. For €18, a huge and great fried schnitzel (also with veal instead of pork for an extra charge), delicious fried potatoes, a fried egg and a fresh salad that isn't 0/8/15, subtle but super tasty dressing. The burgers and sweet potato fries were also great. If you want delicious, fresh food, right next to the train and in a central location, this is the right place for you. We will be back definitely.

A thoroughly good experience! I ate a Wiener Schnitzel with fried potatoes and a cucumber salad and was satisfied. My companions had the cheeseburger and the Holsten schnitzel and were also happy. The portions were decent and the taste was good too. The service was nice and delivered everything at a good pace. The music wasn't really my thing, but the current Bundesliga game was shown :D I am absolutely satisfied and would recommend the “Markt-Koenig” to others. The prices are a little higher than standard, but absolutely okay for this quality! I was there at around 4 p.m., it wasn't crowded and the food was served hot and tasty. I'm so happy to be able to give a positive review!

An "unserem" Sonntagabend waren noch ausreichend Plätze vorhanden, was uns zunächst etwas verwundert hat. Die Bedienung erfolgte extrem schnell und super freundlich. Wir haben uns zu zweit eine große Portion Spare Ribs mit Pommes und ein Kalbsschnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln geteilt - rückblickend hätte eine kleine Portion vielleicht gereicht, da wir relativ schnell ins Fresskoma gefallen sind. Pommes und Bratkartoffeln kamen jeweils separat und waren einfach nur lecker. Über das Fleisch brauchen wir nicht reden - perfekt. Vielleicht eine Spur mehr BBQ-Soße bei den Ribs beim nächsten mal, aber das ist Meckerei auf hohem Niveau. ;-) Tolles Restaurant, auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

Nicht gut gewesen! Wir waren geschäftlich hier mit einer großen Gruppe. Die Hauptgerichte waren durchweg kalt gewesen. Der Espresso war echt ekelhaft. Die Qualität der Gerichte war nicht gut.

Wundervolles Lokal! Sehr leckeres Essen, sehr schöne und gemütliche Einrichtung und unglaublich nettes und freundliches Personal. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Parken ist 2 Stunden umsonst wenn man dort zu Gast ist. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder, wenn wir wieder in Hamburg sind. Vielen Dank für den netten Service!
