Located in the middle of the old town on the market, Markt 43 is a place where you completely lose sight of the surroundings and time while enjoying the excellent cuisine. The relaxed atmosphere and warm service make every visit unforgettable.

To flee! Rip off tourists. A glass of white wine and a beer for €14.90 without any ticket presented when we should have paid €10.10. I do not recommend it to French tourists.

I haven't eaten something this delicious in a long time! Despite my food allergies, I had a good meal because I received very good advice from the nice waiter and attention was paid to it in the kitchen. What's more, the quality of the food is so good and the preparation is so clean - I'm still thrilled! By the way, my husband liked it just as much. Thank you, I really appreciate a good meal!

Extremely unfriendly, insulted and arrogant waiter. Acts like the boss. Every word, no matter how kind, is taken personally and interpreted negatively. This makes you feel very uncomfortable and unwanted. As long as this person is still employed there, I will not go to this establishment again.

Outside waiter treats his own compatriots like the kings of France (puts lights on the table, drinks on the house, etc). Everyone else is ignored and treated like breeding stock. Just sad.

Excessive prices, insulted waiter. Lots of show and tutu but the quality can't keep up. A Wiener Schnitzel with a dollop of potato salad for 29 euros...we would have expected more.. At least you're sitting in a very nice atmosphere. But you can get that cheaper elsewhere including better food and service.

Delicious dinner in the Rathausplatz of Aachen! We ate two of the pastas (one truffle, one chanterelle) and a meat dish. The cocktails were fun and the vibes on of outside dining were impeccable. There were blankets to wrap ourselves in as it was a bit chilly. Overall, would absolutely be back!

1h30 for a bowl (excellent) and 2 beers. I left the iced coffee, still not served after 15 minutes. Bad organization without a doubt. Perhaps lack of staff to prepare drinks and dishes. Too bad: the restaurant is well located.

Today we were spontaneously drawn to Markt 43 while strolling past before an event in Aachen. The cozy, modern interior and the friendly welcome invited us for a quick lunch (and to warm up after a rain shower). The service was wonderfully attentive and courteous, the menu in the form of the QR code was simple and easy to understand. There is something interesting to find for every taste. We chose vegan gyozas and chicken cordon bleu. Everything tasted really good and was beautifully prepared. Overall, we felt very comfortable and would go directly to Markt 43 if we visited Aachen again. P.s. the homemade IceTea was perfect! Not too sweet and still slightly fruity :)

It's very nice to sit in and it's very nice to have a drink. I've been there twice now, about a year apart. Unfortunately, the food didn't correspond to the asking price on both occasions. The quality is simply not right.

We started with 21€ for 4 cokes, 50cl per coke which meant that we were no longer thirsty. we came to see the Germany Spain match. We refused to have a second drink, so in the middle of the match we had to leave the premises. Not commercial at all!

Super nice waiter, delicious food. Mega cocktails. I don't know of any other shop in Aachen where you can eat artichokes. We will be back.

Auf dem schönen Marktplatz, vor dem Rathaus…. Schönes Plätzchen an einem lauen Sommerabend. Wir wurden charmant und sehr gut bedient von Ramazan. Das Essen war gut. Die Gyozas sehr empfehlenswert.

A restaurant to feel good! You are always warmly welcomed (my friends and I have been there several times) and shown to the table. This time there was a delicious welcome aperitif. The sea bream was a dream. The wine is simply delicious...the cheese at the end 👌🏻...and the man from the service: It couldn't be more courteous. We're always happy to come back!

Markt43 is more than worth a visit! Sensational food, super friendly service and a fantastic ambience. The event space on the first floor is simply beautiful. With a view of the town hall, this is the perfect location for events of all kinds.

Actually, it's always delicious and great to eat there. But unfortunately yesterday we were treated with disrespect. We were thrown out without any information that the Aachen players had a reservation there after the championship. Unfortunately, I have never been treated so disrespectfully.

Food and drinks are great but the service is subpar. During my visit today I felt very uncomfortable as a guest and like second class. I'm very upset about this because I've never experienced anything like that in a restaurant.

Today I was unfortunately very disappointed with the service at the restaurant. Usually all the waiters are always very friendly and we were satisfied with the food, drink and service. Unfortunately, we were literally thrown out of the restaurant today because the entire restaurant suddenly became a private party for a football team. In particular (presumably the boss) was very stressed and unfriendly. We won't all be coming back after this absolutely outrageous situation. As a guest you felt like you were second class and treated like dirt.

During my visit today I was very dissatisfied with the service. The boss in particular seemed very stressed and was very unfriendly. Drinks were great but the negativity of the service outweighed it. Due to an unannounced private egg, we were more or less thrown out. I will refrain from another visit.

Very solid restaurant with good food and drinks. The beautiful market square can be viewed outside. Inside it's a little quieter and more upscale. The service is very friendly and well trained. The dishes were all very tasty and the cocktails were a delight! I can only recommend this shop. In terms of price, it's in the upper segment for Aachen, but it's definitely worth the money. When there were four of us, a waitress with short blonde hair served us very disrespectfully and unfriendly. She cursed and yelled at us because we ordered so little last time. We were insulted by her and she even became violent. We can also prove this if you wish. For such a high quality restaurant, I don't expect such disrespectful person. We won't allow that. Definitely stay away. We made a reservation for 4 people for a friend's birthday and paid around 80 euros. The attitude of the short-haired middle-aged staff woman who served us was generally hostile and after paying the bill, when one of our friends asked her why she was aggressive, her attitude towards us became even worse and she started complaining that 2 of our friends did not eat and only drank cocktails, she personally abused one of our friends who had come to this place before and who was also served by her. When she asked her why, the woman grabbed her shoulder and pushed her. (We have videos as proof.) She also threatened to kick us out of the place and call the police. The fact that we were subjected to such a bad treatment even though we only asked her why he was being aggressive ruined our night and we are extremely complaining about her and we wish the necessary action to be taken. Don't come, don't be disgraced with your money.

Personally, I feel out of place there. We were there as part of a bachelorette party. We sat upstairs and had a nice view of the illuminated town hall in the evening. Then why “Out of Place”? Probably too posh for me. Every dish and drink was announced or explained in a very incomprehensible manner, both in terms of content and acoustics, because the staff seemed hectic and tense. The price is too expensive for me. A glass of wine ~10€, our appetizer platter 50€ and my bowl of beef ~40€. The bowl only consisted of some salad with beef fillet that was so raw it looked like liver. I like to eat steak and even "rare" ones, but these pieces even "mooed"... You come hungry, pay a lot and still aren't full at the end of the evening. For me, a kebab will be enough in the future ;-)

For my daughter's birthday, I and my family reserved a table at Markt 43 and went there, a restaurant I've been to before. At the table next to us was a group of young people who were celebrating their birthdays like us and who were very nice and respectful. From the moment this group of young people arrived, a 55-60 year old waitress with short blonde hair, whose name I didn't know, behaved very rudely at this table. Whatever the young people said, she behaved very rudely towards them and loudly left the plates at the end of the table. Finally the young people couldn't take it anymore and reacted, but this disrespectful waitress walked up to one of these young girls and pushed one of them, physically touching and shoving her. We were very disturbed by this incident. And after the young people left, the waitress told the staff what these foreigners were doing in Germany and made racist comments. If the company requests it, we have the video footage of the waitress who was shoving. As long as this waitress works there, we will never eat at Markt 43 again!

We were there for dinner with friends on Wednesday around 9 p.m. Unfortunately, I had to witness that an employee, around 50-60 years old, with a short haircut, treated guests very rudely. She even got physical. I have never experienced something like that. ☹️☹️☹️

Four of us visited the restaurant and ordered two starters, one tiramisu and four cocktails. We didn't like the service at all. The waitress with short blonde hair acted as if she didn't want to serve us. After we asked for a reason, she immediately responded aggressively because we "ordered very little last time" and then yelled at us. In the end she even became violent. We have videos of the moment. I wouldn't have imagined such behavior towards customers in a shop like this, which wants to present itself as "high class" in Aachen. Never again!!

We made reservations in advance and were warmly welcomed. The service was really great. Our jackets were taken away, which I found very accommodating. The drinks were 11/10. and in addition to a nice atmosphere, we always had short, nice conversations with the team. The entire stay was really nice.

An der Stelle, wo sich 400 Jahre lang die ehrwürdige Karls-Apotheke befand, ist jetzt mit dem Markt 43 ein sehr erfreulicher Stern am Aachener Gastrohimmel aufgegangen: Innovative Fusion-Küche mit reichlich vegetarischen und veganen Optionen, die aber auch Fleischesser und Traditionalisten nicht allein lässt; feine Wein- und Cocktail-Auswahl, flotte und kompetente Bedienung, cooles Ambiente. Im Erdgeschoss ist der Laden ein bisschen eng, aber wenn man das Glück hat, einen Platz im ersten Stock zu bekommen, kann man sich über eine spektakuläre Aussicht auf den Marktplatz und das historische Rathaus freuen. Doch wo viel Licht ist, gibt’s natürlich auch ein bisschen Schatten: Bei meinem letzten Besuch hatte man die gedruckten Speisekarten abgeschafft und durch einen QR-Code ersetzt. Das klingt zunächst hip, führt aber zu einem fummeligen, lästigen Rumgesuche auf dem Smartphone, und das freundlicherweise von der Bedienung „geliehene“ Tablet hilft zwar etwas an einem Zweiertisch, ist aber für größere Gruppen sicher nicht praktikabel. Ich verbuche die Idee mal als gut gemeintes Experiment und halte das Team vom Markt 43 für flexibel genug um aus Fehlern zu lernen. Ansonsten: immer wieder gerne!

Booked a table for two people to celebrate partner’s birthday. Upon arriving it became obvious that the restaurant has been booked for an event, as the main door was closed and it was incredibly loud and rowdy inside, and it definitely was no place to enjoy a romantic dinner. Unfortunately no one said anything about this when I booked the table and effectively ruined our evening. Extremely disappointed.

Day in Aachen with the three of us as a family. We had absolutely no idea where to eat, but luckily we ended up here! The staff is super friendly and the food was incredibly tasty and very well dosed. I had a pasta tagliatelle + mushroom cream sauce with beef strips, the rest a Caesar salad with (perfect) chicken and a well-seasoned tender schnitzel with mashed potatoes. There is a lot of choice on the menu in terms of compositions with meat, etc., which also creates many vegetarian options. Afterwards we had a passion fruit crème brulee with coffee. We will definitely come back :)

We've eaten at Markt 23 twice and have never been disappointed, but today on Valentine's Day it was more than disappointing. My wife had the Tomka soup as a starter and I had the bread basket. My wife already said that the cook must be very in love with the amount of salt in the soup. Well, it can happen, we haven't said anything yet. The main course was the TAGLIARINI TRUFFEL and the WIENER SCHNITZEL. The Tagiliarini were also very tasty, as my wife confirmed, but unfortunately my meal was affected this time - the Wienerschnitzel was so oversalted - there were large "salt flakes" on the breading that I initially mistook for Parmesan shavings. When the staff asked if everything was okay - probably not if the Wienerschnitzel was still more or less completely on the plate. In response to my comment, the waiter gave me a rather rude “that’s how it should be.” Ok, I don't want to say how many Wienerschnitzel I've eaten (not Wiener-style schnitzel), but all the others had one or two slices of lemon and cranberries, but no salt flakes!! I was offered a “substitute schnitzel” or a coffee or espresso. Since my wife had already finished her Tagiliarini, I actually just wanted to pay and leave. Invoice amount 109.xx € for an oversalted starter and an oversalted Wienerschnitzel 👍 Sorry, if the waiter had acted confidently and not said “that’s the way it should be” - I wouldn’t have written this. I think other guests should be made aware of the “Wienerschnitzel in the style of Markt 43”. I'm sorry, I'd rather go to the brother who runs "Boulevard 30". Many greetings and Happy Valentine's Day

Comparably overpriced prices are charged for the food served, but the portions are very small. The drinks are also at an exorbitant price level for Aachen. In addition, the service was more than impatient, and its brisk manner caused more stress than a relaxed atmosphere! It could definitely be a nice place, but everything seems a little too staged, so unfortunately I can't recommend it.

Always a great experience at Markt 43. Great atmosphere right on the market with a view of the town hall, especially in the evenings very romantic, all wishes would be fulfilled and you are completely happy. The cuisine leaves no room for the palate to complain. The dishes are lovingly prepared down to the last detail and each component tastes perfect. Here you understand your craft to the letter. Whether for breakfast, lunch or evening - we love to have a good time here. You are pampered, everyone is very attentive - the glass is never empty. You feel completely comfortable :) Keep it up! Markt 43 is always very hospitable with courteous service without being intrusive. The food is always delicious with a certain creativity, but remains regional and down-to-earth. The old pharmacy offers a cozy ambience inside in a small space. - In summer, the best way to enjoy your food and your Negroni is when the weather is nice with a view of the Aachen town hall 🤗

I ordered espresso and tiramisu, both were exactly how I wanted. And the team was nice and polite. It was just great.

I was only there for a drink, but it was an excellent cocktail. Will definitely stop by again to have something to eat too. The service was also impeccable.

We will start with the positive. Nice atmosphere (although a little noisy, but that's the concept). Lounge music. Very warm welcome followed by top service. (Again very friendly and attentive). Spritz aperitif OK (a little too doped with H2O for my taste). The dishes were very good (very good mention for the Vitello tonnato). Although the sauce with the salmon was a little too sweet and tended to saturate the taste buds. On the other hand, where the subject is annoying is the prices. €29 for a Schinzel, €30 for a small piece of salmon and its purée. €17 per glass of wine (well served, advertised 20cl whereas a normal glass in a restaurant is between 12 and 15 cl). A large bottle of water billed in..3 X (see photo of ticket in appendix. Strange). Accompanying salad for €6.30 and to top it off, even the small basket of bread is charged at €4 (It feels like Ryanair with an endless list of costs). We came out with a bill close to €160 with a starter and dessert for two. In three courses we would have happily passed the €200 mark for...two. (And, we are not in a Bib gourmand or another Gault Millau). We are in the presence of brasserie cuisine presented with a little originality. The tiramisu was nice (a little presentation during the service) but again a lot of mascarpone on a small biscuit. Trendy restaurant... "cash machine".

My spontaneous visit to this charming restaurant/bar turned into an unexpected but extremely pleasant surprise! I originally planned to just enjoy a simple espresso, but the tempting aromas and warm atmosphere of this restaurant changed my plans in an instant. The espresso I originally ordered was undoubtedly excellent - strong, flavorful and perfectly prepared. But then the friendly barista recommended that I take a look at the expanded coffee menu and I quickly decided on another creation. The house's recommendation, a mixture of espresso and milk, turned out to be a stroke of genius! Thanks
