Delicious food! The perfect place for fresh oriental food in Aachen.

Pleasant music paired with aromatic food :) My meal of Rajma curry and a small lentil soup as a starter was perfectly filling and tasted delicious. The prices are very reasonable for what you get. I'll definitely be back soon :D

It was a great first time experience today while visiting Aachen from Belgium. It was a small well decorated restaurant with dinner music. Food was mouthwatering and literally every single item was like cooked with heart! Service was reasonably quick considering freshly cooked. Would be better if the chicken is marinated with less chilli or no chilli and add later if necessary because the charcoal grilled skewers were little spicy for kids and I know you can’t change the spice once it’s marinated already. But for me the taste was wonderful. The people working there were well behaved and welcoming. Hope to visit again soon. Thank you

There are very few restaurants in Germany that serve authentic Pakistani food the way it’s meant to be, and Desi Dhaba is definitely one of them! 😇 I ordered the Chicken Qorma, and it was absolutely delicious. On top of that, the staff were incredibly humble.

We were hesitant to go to the restaurant because of some bad reviews, but I’m glad we did. The food was very delicious, and the portions were generous and well worth the price. The service was great too, very friendly, with good recommendations. They’ll tell you which dishes are spicy and which aren’t, and they can even make some dishes less spicy if possible. They’ve also included all dietary restrictions on the menu and offer vegetarian options. It’s not a very big restaurant, but it’s nicely decorated in some corners.

The chicken biriyani was extremely delicious 😋 It was so delicious during my brief stay at Aachen that I decided to come the next day for dinner as well.

The food at Desi Dhaba is delicious and the service is friendly. They serve all sorts of dishes from South Asian countries, like India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. I had butter chicken with rice and garlic naan (see photo), accompanied by a mango lassi. My friend had Kabuli Pulao. I'll definitely be back.

I tried gol gappe and Chai. Both were average no comparison with Indian taste. The service was so slow and disappointing environment. Gol gappe I found expensive.

My response to owner on his comment- 1- Food was ordered only for kid who was hungry, not everyone. 2- You live in Germany and there is no rule as such that you should deliberately delay the order if there are 4 people who order just one dish (may be this is culture elsewhere but not here for sure) 3- You are still justifying your bad services by giving them “different angle”- I should have gone to Donner shop than to come to this Pakistani restaurant. Also- Your toilets were dirty and no toilet paper - hope you won’t say now that it was Saturday and you clean it only on Monday. I just wanted to write to you so that you can improve the services but look at your attitude- your first response was - you don’t care. Also check all other bad reviews- they point out the same thing so just work on it and take customers seriously above the regional boundaries. Pathetic Pakistani restaurant- took 45 minutes to serve food, very unorganised people. The food quality was below average, dirty toilets and no hand towels. Very bad experience. I will not recommend this at all. The card machine had no paper, had to ask everything 4 times. Worst experience here. PS- The owner’s comment on this review- “I don’t care”. @owner- I paid you for your 3rd class cheap services, it was not charity so you better start caring.

Probably the worst restaurant I've been to in Aachen. They took over 40 minutes to serve the food. The Naan was not made fresh, it was likely packaged Naan. I'm also curious as to why they took 40 minutes to serve cold rice. The curry was bathed in oil and tasted stale. Also, the toilet was disgustingly dirty. I would never recommend anybody visit this place

I ordered Lamb Biriyani, Papads. Biriyani came with Raitha. The dum Biriyani took me back to having this delicious and simple dish that has been given to each one of us to cherish and enjoy. It reminded me of the Dum Biriyani from my part of India. The food was very fresh and made me feel at home. The food was very homely. Loved it.

Best Desi restaurant in Aachen!

It tastes authentic and finger-licking good! I highly recommend it. We ordered two dishes. The chicken korma and butter chicken were authentic and very tasty. The interior is rather dull, and it would have been nicer if they had played traditional music in the background to enhance the experience. Moreover, the open kitchen is very neat and clean. Fantastic! We will definitely be back to enjoy the delicious food!

Really loved all the foods that we tried there!!!Very delicious, true DESI in every sense!....Highly highly recommended to all Desi and non Desi frnds!!!!! Just have patience after you order, they do take care of the food they prepare and worth a little wait.

I ordered chicken qorma, first of which took a long time to arrive. It didn't taste good. The quantity is too low for the price, the gravy wasn't even enough for 1 naan. They forgot to bring the extra rice which I ordered. Oh, also look at the amount of oil there was in chicken qorma. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

We ate at this restaurant and chose a lamb stew and butter chicken. The dishes were delicious and very typical. You can tell it's homemade. Their homemade bread is also excellent!

We were at the door today, Thursday, August 7th, at 3 p.m., but everything was closed despite the "We're Open" sign. We called the two phone numbers, but they weren't in service! Such a shame. As an alternative, we had Indian food at Raja's in the shopping center! Delicious!

Tried mixed pakora, veg biryani, matar paneer with naan, and coconut lassi. Matar paneer was delicious, pakora and lassi were nice, biryani was okay. Swapping naan for rice costs extra, unlike at many other places, so we went with the naan. Decent portions at a fair price.

A real insider tip for biryani lovers! We're not from Aachen, but suddenly had a huge craving for biryani – and luckily, we stumbled upon Desi Dhaba. We were definitely not disappointed! The spices in the biryani were perfectly balanced and gave the dish a truly intense, authentic flavor. The tikka we ordered as an extra was also superbly seasoned and incredibly delicious. The restaurant was very clean, including the restrooms – which was a very pleasant surprise. The staff also deserves special mention: super friendly, attentive, and welcoming. You immediately feel welcome. If you're in the mood for authentic South Asian food in Aachen, you should definitely try Desi Dhaba. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area!

Friendly staff. The food was excellent. We had the lamb biryani and butter chicken. Both highly recommended. The menu is completely to my taste, and I would eat virtually any dish on it. There are paneer versions for vegetarians. I didn't notice any vegan options, but I wasn't paying attention. The place is also beautifully decorated. I would recommend it without reservation (unless you're vegan).

I'm not from Aachen but I was looking for a halal restaurant and it was a great experience. The food was really delicious, the service was excellent and the owners were really nice people. I feel a little sad that I'm not from Aachen, otherwise they would have gained a regular customer. I highly recommend this place for lovers of delicious Pakistani food.

The lassi and the food were delicious. However, there was a special offer that Sunday: €8 for biryani instead of €14. I had to pay €14 because I could only use one of the two offers (Neotaste/€8 biryani). However, they didn't tell me this until I was paying. I would have preferred to pay €4 for the lassi and €8 for the biryani. Especially since Neotaste isn't supposed to be related to any other offers. So, the advantage was effectively €2. It's a shame, because the offer was a reason for me to finally try the restaurant. Accordingly, I'm very disappointed. I won't be going back. During my visit, there was a very loud group present, which somewhat spoiled the atmosphere. The service was courteous.

I had halwa puri here and it was the best halwa puri I ever had not just in Germany but in comparison to Pakistan too. Everything was in great quantity, one serving per couple was more than enough. They even provide us complementary puris. The staff were super friendly and nice. Only thing you have to see is you have to call them and ask if they are serving halwa puri that day. Highly recommend for breakfast.

Recently we had food from Desi Daba. We went there because of the reviews. We ordered biryani and Naan. Biriyani was full of oil and the Naan seems like something frozen. Not at all good

Extremely tasty food. Made fresh and served fast. The meat they served was extremely well cooked, well chosen and it seemed as if it was fresh from a kurbani. We ate on bakra eid, and they were willing to accommodate us even after closing time. They were extremely kind, and even gave us free kheer for the occasion. Definitely one of the best Desi restaurants in Germany.

Went here for dinner and it was really really good. I haven't had authentic food in a long time so it was like going back home. All the food was delicious, the service was lovely and it was overall a really nice experience. Definitely reccomend!

An Unexpected Gem — Felt Like Home 🇵🇰 I visited this restaurant with three friends and honestly… it took me straight back to Pakistan. I ordered the chicken biryani, and the moment I had my first bite, I felt like I was home. The spices, the aroma, the balance it wasn’t restaurant style biryani, it was ghar wali biryani. That kind of authentic flavor is extremely rare to find in Germany, and they nailed it. And don’t even get me started on the Pakistani chai…..bro… !!!! it was the G.O.A.T. Smooth, strong, perfectly brewed — real desi tea that hits the soul. ☕ The place itself is simple, not flashy, but that didn’t matter at all, it was clean, and the vibe was genuine. Yes, the food took some time, but I totally understand as someone who works in a restaurant myself good food takes time, especially when it’s fresh and made with love. My only regret? I didn’t take any pictures. 🥲 The food looked as amazing as it tasted, and I wish I had something to show — but honestly, I was too busy enjoying it! My honest advice to anyone going: have some patience. It’s 100% worth the wait. This isn’t fast food — it’s real, soulful Pakistani cooking. Big respect to the team! Will definitely be coming back.

As a Bangladeshi, I must say that you have some of the best food in South Asia. Dishes like Kabuli Pulao, Shami Kebab, Gulab Jamun, and Chapli Kebab were absolutely delicious. However, I found Luchi a bit less impressive compared to the others. Overall, the food was truly fantastic!"

We did take away from this restaurant. When we got home the meal turned out to be absurdly small. The mixed vegetable was literally 4 tablespoons for 12 euros. I have no problem paying the price for something worth it. But this was not in balance. It was nice. I think if we had eaten inside it would be different. They were very friendly.

The worst food ever possible in Aachen. I ordered chicken biriyani for 14€. I got some rice and a piece of waste part of chicken. Not enough quantity and taste waste. Why cheating people who take out food. The rice is mandi rice with plenty of oil. Not a trace of any spices or vegetables. If this is chicken biriyani, i don’t know what is chicken mandi

Amazing Food , Amazing ambience and Amazing staff. We were here to enjoy their breakfast menu , and honestly - “ Ghar ki yaad aa gayi “ . The Halwa was so good that we couldn’t help but pack another ‘Dabba’ (container) home. Desi Dhaba , is totally a highly recommended place !

We ordered Lamb Karahi and Chicken karahi. There were a lot of oil in them. In Lamb karahi there were bones and fat and only one small piece of meat. This restaurant is highly non recommended. Very bad experience.

It was okay, but nothing more. Cold in the store. Service was almost nonexistent. The food was so-so. And there was a small piece of plastic from the mayo lid in the food. Prices were acceptable.

We tried Halwa Puri which was enjoyable, with perfectly cooked puris and flavorful alu ki bhujiya. However, the halwa & chanaa didn’t match the authentic Halwa Puri taste. The tea could be more doodh patti style for a karak-taste or maybe offered separately from the Halwa Puri price to let customers fully enjoy the chai. The customer service was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. Overall, a good experience, but with flavor adjustments and tea improvements, it could be exceptional! See you next time.🙂👍

So I was visiting Aachen for my job and googled it randomly and found it an authentic desi food spot. Not just the food but the staff is very friendly and service is excellent. Well I had tried Biryani and Chicken Karahi with Naan on two different days ending on Karak Doodh patti chai.

We dined in and the service was very nice and the food was amazing, we ordered Kabuli Pulao and Biryani, butter chicken, samosas and desi tea. We ordered everything was made freshly. Would totally recommend this place for really good and authentic Indian/Pakistani/Afghani food! Kabuli Pulao and Chicken Biryaani, has to be the best one I have had so far in Aachen.

Nice, small restaurant with Indian, Pakistani and Afghan cuisine. We ate on site and the food came quickly and tasted delicious. We had Chicken Biryani and Chicken Reshmi Handi. The staff are all super friendly and created a calm atmosphere. Unfortunately it was a bit cold in the restaurant because the heating wasn't working properly. But it should only be temporary.

Had biriyani and kabuli pulao here. Best biriyani in Aachen. Kabuli pulao is delicious too. The chutney served with pulao is too good that you can't resist but ask for more.

This place is a hidden gem! The food is amazing, especially the biryani and kabuli pulao. The gulab jamun and tiramisu were also delicious. I loved their chai and the handi and karahi were perfect. I’ve been to your restaurant few times and been also a customer in online orders a couple of times, I’ve never felt any change in quality and quantity, well with as usual lip smacking taste. I’d die for your Chicken Karahi, mainly because it is exactly how we eat at our place. Thanks for putting all your love while cooking, especially for all of us who miss our homes.🥲 I can bet no other desi restaurant has this kind of ‘ghar ka khana’ vibe.
