Wir waren am Freitagabend dort zum Abendessen und bestellten Lamm-Kabuli-Pulao, Lamm-Karahi, Mango-Lassi und Cola. Die Gerichte waren fantastisch. Nur eine Anmerkung: Das Lammfleisch im Kabuli-Pulao hätte etwas schärfer sein können (für europäische Verhältnisse). Der Service war hervorragend und die Atmosphäre sehr freundlich.

UNBEDINGT VERMEIDEN. Auch Menschen mit dunkler Hautfarbe können rassistisch gegenüber Schwarzen sein. Das musste ich selbst erfahren, als der Chef mit dem Kellner sprach, der uns – meinen Freund (aus dem Senegal) und mich – begrüßt hatte. Dieser teilte uns dann mit, dass wir nur Essen zum Mitnehmen bestellen könnten. Das Restaurant war bei Weitem nicht voll, und ich konnte deutlich sehen, wie der Chef mit dem Kellner sprach, als ich uns ansah. So etwas ist uns noch nie passiert. SCHÄMT EUCH!

Ich war schon mehrmals hier und bin jedes Mal sehr zufrieden gewesen. Die Auswahl auf der Speisekarte ist vielfältig und die Gerichte sind wirklich lecker und frisch zubereitet. Besonders das, was ich bestellt habe, hat mich geschmacklich überzeugt. Die Atmosphäre ist angenehm und das Ambiente lädt zum Verweilen ein. Auch der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Insgesamt ein rundum schönes Restaurant – ich komme definitiv gerne wieder!

Ich war auf der Suche nach einem guten indischen Restaurant und bin hier fündig geworden. Das Essen hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt, besonders das Lamm-Karahi und das Hähnchen-Käse-Paratha. Auch der Service war hervorragend und die Preise angemessen.

Wir haben am 25. April dort zu Abend gegessen. Das Essen war köstlich und die Portionen großzügig. Wir durften sogar Biryani probieren. Insgesamt war es ein wirklich tolles Erlebnis. Ein großes Lob an das Team!

Das Essen war wirklich köstlich, authentische Gewürze und perfekt zubereitete Gerichte. Der Service war ausgezeichnet: freundlich und stets mit einem Lächeln. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Der Kabuli Pulao war besonders gut, das Fleisch war sehr zart und aromatisch. Ich kann das Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen.

Best spot in Aachen für pakistanisches/indisches Essen! Die Gerichte sind sehr authentisch, voller Geschmack und mit viel Liebe zubereitet – es erinnert wirklich an hausgemachtes Essen. Besonders hervorzuheben sind das Chicken Korma, der aromatische Kabuli Rice und die unglaublich zarte Malai Boti – absolute Favoriten!

Nachdem ich über hundert Curry-Restaurants in Deutschland besucht habe, muss ich sagen, dass die meisten eher das servieren, was sie für den Geschmack der Gäste halten, anstatt authentisches, hausgemachtes Desi-Curry. Desi Dhaba ist nun das dritte Restaurant auf meiner Liste, das diese Auszeichnung wirklich verdient – ​​hervorragend! Und zwar in ganz Deutschland! Nette Leute, entspannte Atmosphäre – ein absolutes Muss für jeden Aachen-Besucher.

Das Essen ist sehr gut. Preis Leistung ebenfalls top. Die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich. Das Naan ist selbstgemacht und schmeckt super. Wir hatten 2x die Grillplatte und waren sehr zufrieden. Beim nächsten Mal werde ich aber lieber bestellen. Dort essen ist nicht sehr gemütlich.

Treffend benannt. Authentischer Geschmack \m/ !! Ich würde Lamm-Kabuli-Pulao, Karahi-Hähnchen mit Naan und Bihari-Kebab mit Chai empfehlen. Das Essen schmeckt im Restaurant doppelt so gut wie bei Wolt. *Nachtrag: Der Lieferservice in Aachen hat sich verbessert.

One star is too generous. We ordered from Wolt today and were extremely disappointed. The so-called Butter Chicken consisted only of oil; there was no trace of the typical creamy sauce. The pakoras tasted of old grease and were dripping with it, the beef curry was also mostly fat, and the Malai Boti Wrap was so bitter in places that it seemed spoiled. After trying the food, we unfortunately had to throw it away as it was absolutely inedible. Only the mango lassi was acceptable. For the price, this is a real rip-off. I strongly advise against ordering from here! I can't comment on what the restaurant itself is like.

The potato wedges, butter chicken, and lamb pilaf rice were absolutely delicious — especially the lamb rice dish, highly recommend! The milk tea and mango smoothie were also pretty good. Service was a little slow, but honestly worth the wait. Would come back again!

Though one of the dishes had chicken that i believe was marinated for too long. It was way past the tendernes level and just started braking down the chicken. Therefore the chicken tasted almost like a paste rather then tender meat.

Went there with 3 other friends. The restaurant was very chilly with no operating heater (only an air conditioner throwing some hot hair locally). The food took ages to come and wasn't anything special to talk about. The servers and cook were kind but too chilled and slow to be running a restaurant. Not gonna recommend.

I've never eaten such bad Indian food. The meal took forever and then it was so tasteless... no spices... the meat was just fat 🤮, they absolutely need a real chef who knows how to cook Indian food.

I wouldn’t say small but I would use the appropriate word ‘cosy’ for this place and I really liked it, if I visit Aachen again in the future then I’m definitely going there. I should preface this by saying that I'm not very familiar with Indian-Pakistani cuisine. I enjoyed the food, and I found the service very friendly. The ambiance is similar to that of a fast-food joint, which I personally consider a drawback. However, this isn't to say that the visit wasn't good. I can definitely recommend the restaurant.

Delicious food! The perfect place for fresh oriental food in Aachen.

Pleasant music paired with aromatic food :) My meal of Rajma curry and a small lentil soup as a starter was perfectly filling and tasted delicious. The prices are very reasonable for what you get. I'll definitely be back soon :D

It was a great first time experience today while visiting Aachen from Belgium. It was a small well decorated restaurant with dinner music. Food was mouthwatering and literally every single item was like cooked with heart! Service was reasonably quick considering freshly cooked. Would be better if the chicken is marinated with less chilli or no chilli and add later if necessary because the charcoal grilled skewers were little spicy for kids and I know you can’t change the spice once it’s marinated already. But for me the taste was wonderful. The people working there were well behaved and welcoming. Hope to visit again soon. Thank you

There are very few restaurants in Germany that serve authentic Pakistani food the way it’s meant to be, and Desi Dhaba is definitely one of them! 😇 I ordered the Chicken Qorma, and it was absolutely delicious. On top of that, the staff were incredibly humble.

The chicken biriyani was extremely delicious 😋 It was so delicious during my brief stay at Aachen that I decided to come the next day for dinner as well.

I tried gol gappe and Chai. Both were average no comparison with Indian taste. The service was so slow and disappointing environment. Gol gappe I found expensive.

The food at Desi Dhaba is delicious and the service is friendly. They serve all sorts of dishes from South Asian countries, like India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. I had butter chicken with rice and garlic naan (see photo), accompanied by a mango lassi. My friend had Kabuli Pulao. I'll definitely be back.

Probably the worst restaurant I've been to in Aachen. They took over 40 minutes to serve the food. The Naan was not made fresh, it was likely packaged Naan. I'm also curious as to why they took 40 minutes to serve cold rice. The curry was bathed in oil and tasted stale. Also, the toilet was disgustingly dirty. I would never recommend anybody visit this place

My response to owner on his comment- 1- Food was ordered only for kid who was hungry, not everyone. 2- You live in Germany and there is no rule as such that you should deliberately delay the order if there are 4 people who order just one dish (may be this is culture elsewhere but not here for sure) 3- You are still justifying your bad services by giving them “different angle”- I should have gone to Donner shop than to come to this Pakistani restaurant. Also- Your toilets were dirty and no toilet paper - hope you won’t say now that it was Saturday and you clean it only on Monday. I just wanted to write to you so that you can improve the services but look at your attitude- your first response was - you don’t care. Also check all other bad reviews- they point out the same thing so just work on it and take customers seriously above the regional boundaries. Pathetic Pakistani restaurant- took 45 minutes to serve food, very unorganised people. The food quality was below average, dirty toilets and no hand towels. Very bad experience. I will not recommend this at all. The card machine had no paper, had to ask everything 4 times. Worst experience here. PS- The owner’s comment on this review- “I don’t care”. @owner- I paid you for your 3rd class cheap services, it was not charity so you better start caring.

I ordered Lamb Biriyani, Papads. Biriyani came with Raitha. The dum Biriyani took me back to having this delicious and simple dish that has been given to each one of us to cherish and enjoy. It reminded me of the Dum Biriyani from my part of India. The food was very fresh and made me feel at home. The food was very homely. Loved it.

It tastes authentic and finger-licking good! I highly recommend it. We ordered two dishes. The chicken korma and butter chicken were authentic and very tasty. The interior is rather dull, and it would have been nicer if they had played traditional music in the background to enhance the experience. Moreover, the open kitchen is very neat and clean. Fantastic! We will definitely be back to enjoy the delicious food!

I ordered chicken qorma, first of which took a long time to arrive. It didn't taste good. The quantity is too low for the price, the gravy wasn't even enough for 1 naan. They forgot to bring the extra rice which I ordered. Oh, also look at the amount of oil there was in chicken qorma. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

We ate at this restaurant and chose a lamb stew and butter chicken. The dishes were delicious and very typical. You can tell it's homemade. Their homemade bread is also excellent!

We were at the door today, Thursday, August 7th, at 3 p.m., but everything was closed despite the "We're Open" sign. We called the two phone numbers, but they weren't in service! Such a shame. As an alternative, we had Indian food at Raja's in the shopping center! Delicious!

Tried mixed pakora, veg biryani, matar paneer with naan, and coconut lassi. Matar paneer was delicious, pakora and lassi were nice, biryani was okay. Swapping naan for rice costs extra, unlike at many other places, so we went with the naan. Decent portions at a fair price.

A real insider tip for biryani lovers! We're not from Aachen, but suddenly had a huge craving for biryani – and luckily, we stumbled upon Desi Dhaba. We were definitely not disappointed! The spices in the biryani were perfectly balanced and gave the dish a truly intense, authentic flavor. The tikka we ordered as an extra was also superbly seasoned and incredibly delicious. The restaurant was very clean, including the restrooms – which was a very pleasant surprise. The staff also deserves special mention: super friendly, attentive, and welcoming. You immediately feel welcome. If you're in the mood for authentic South Asian food in Aachen, you should definitely try Desi Dhaba. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area!
