Amazing Food , Amazing ambience and Amazing staff. We were here to enjoy their breakfast menu , and honestly - “ Ghar ki yaad aa gayi “ . The Halwa was so good that we couldn’t help but pack another ‘Dabba’ (container) home. Desi Dhaba , is totally a highly recommended place !

We ordered Lamb Karahi and Chicken karahi. There were a lot of oil in them. In Lamb karahi there were bones and fat and only one small piece of meat. This restaurant is highly non recommended. Very bad experience.

It was okay but not anymore. Cold in the store. Service almost non-existent. Food so-so. And had a small piece of plastic from the mayo lid in the food. Prices acceptable.

I had butter chicken with naan bread and lamb biryani. That was really very tasty! I just like Pakistani food.

We tried Halwa Puri which was enjoyable, with perfectly cooked puris and flavorful alu ki bhujiya. However, the halwa & chanaa didn’t match the authentic Halwa Puri taste. The tea could be more doodh patti style for a karak-taste or maybe offered separately from the Halwa Puri price to let customers fully enjoy the chai. The customer service was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. Overall, a good experience, but with flavor adjustments and tea improvements, it could be exceptional! See you next time.🙂👍

So I was visiting Aachen for my job and googled it randomly and found it an authentic desi food spot. Not just the food but the staff is very friendly and service is excellent. Well I had tried Biryani and Chicken Karahi with Naan on two different days ending on Karak Doodh patti chai.

We dined in and the service was very nice and the food was amazing, we ordered Kabuli Pulao and Biryani, butter chicken, samosas and desi tea. We ordered everything was made freshly. Would totally recommend this place for really good and authentic Indian/Pakistani/Afghani food! Kabuli Pulao and Chicken Biryaani, has to be the best one I have had so far in Aachen.

Nice, small restaurant with Indian, Pakistani and Afghan cuisine. We ate on site and the food came quickly and tasted delicious. We had Chicken Biryani and Chicken Reshmi Handi. The staff are all super friendly and created a calm atmosphere. Unfortunately it was a bit cold in the restaurant because the heating wasn't working properly. But it should only be temporary.

Had biriyani and kabuli pulao here. Best biriyani in Aachen. Kabuli pulao is delicious too. The chutney served with pulao is too good that you can't resist but ask for more.

I’ve been to your restaurant few times and been also a customer in online orders a couple of times, I’ve never felt any change in quality and quantity, well with as usual lip smacking taste. I’d die for your Chicken Karahi, mainly because it is exactly how we eat at our place. Thanks for putting all your love while cooking, especially for all of us who miss our homes.🥲 I can bet no other desi restaurant has this kind of ‘ghar ka khana’ vibe. This place is a hidden gem! The food is amazing, especially the biryani and kabuli pulao. The gulab jamun and tiramisu were also delicious. I loved their chai and the handi and karahi were perfect. Everything was so yummy! Went there with friends and they made our day with literally the best food in germany. Highly recommend it!

The atmosphere: Very confusing and sad display, strange ambience. The food: 15 minute wait for a cold, undercooked and unseasoned Gol Gappay. I don't know if they're served cold or not, but however you slice it, it's bad. Very sad Kabuli Pulao, only yellowish and white. Paid 19 euros for the dish and didn't even get a leaf of parsley to lighten the mood. The basmati rice is mushy and although it tastes ok, it could have been better if it was a little drier. The only thing good here is the mango lassi, and even that was overpriced. All in all it costs 30 euros. For 30 euros you could have had a pretty good experience in Paris itself, and it would have only cost a little more. Is Aachen the Paris of Germany when the price is so high and you get so little for it? The answer is no. This place is just insane. But they are so cheap that you have to order the sauce as a side dish. The main courses don't even come with sauces. Don't go here, don't even consider it for a second. As for the experience itself, there are many more places that offer many more options and much better standards. Try the Warteg in the center, they are not that crazy and at least their aesthetics are pleasing to the eyes and the soul.

The place takes a lot of getting used to with all the flashing lights BUT: the food and service are great. Everything is down to earth but the guys are very nice and make everything fresh. Cuisine is mixed Pakistani, Moroccan, Indian and Persian. But the area is pretty wicked, a stupid drug aunt kept knocking on the window and ran after us to the car. Creepy. According to the owners, things have been bad since the kiosk came there. But the food was recommended!

We’ve enjoyed ordering from Desi Dhaba a few times and are truly glad to see a Pakistani restaurant bringing a taste of home to Aachen. While the food generally tastes great, I have some constructive feedback that could enhance the authenticity of the experience. For instance, I noticed that the malai boti wrap is served in a khubz (Arabic-style flatbread), whereas a traditional chapati or paratha would better match the flavors one might find in Karachi. Additionally, paying 15 euros for a biryani without receiving even a small serving of raita was a bit disappointing, as this yogurt dip is such a staple accompaniment. While I understand that delivery platforms come with extra costs, including a little raita would add tremendous value to the dish, especially considering the price point. Thank you for bringing Pakistani cuisine to Germany—these small tweaks could make the experience even better!

I have tried veg biriyani over there, I wish I could get more options on vegetarian in coming time. However, Biriyani was awesome & authentic teste. Keep add more options for vegetarian as you have listed it "Indian category", vegetarian should be in your list as "MUST". Check other Indian restaurant referance in aachen, how they serve vegetarian food.

We came back from France and went to this restaurant. The food was good and our orders arrived quickly. I was waiting for the food. I read some negative comments, but thank God, after Mosul, everything was fine. Try Karak tea 😋 We ordered an appetizer of balls like chips stuffed with potatoes and tamarind. It is amazing. You should try it.

Aptly named. Genuine flavours \m/ !! I would go for -Lamb Kabuli Pulao, -Karahi Chicken and Naan, -Bihari Kebab and Chai. The food taste ten times better at the restaurant than on wolt.

I got it delivered. This is my first time ordering. Food is very good but 2 pieces of chicken for 13.99 euro and rice for 19.99 euro 😅 I really tout that its gonna be bigger portions. Joke on me. Sadly wont visit again even tho the food tastes good. Just not worth it. PS : I didn't order biryani with chicken. I just order chicken curry and it came 2 pieces with one Naan for 13.99.

The food is really good, much better than the contemporaries in Aachen which serve similar kind of food. The biriyani that you usually get in Aachen is just rice mixed with some chicken and God knows what masalas. Desi Dhaba's biriyani is much much better, with authentic masalas and taste.

If you ever feel into sip some good Chai, pakora and samosas . Definately visit Desi Dhaba.......

Amazing food and flavours . It reminds me of my home food

Once, I accidentally ordered Chicken Biryani through Lieferando from Desi Dhaba and to my surprise, the taste was remarkably close to authentic Biryani. This easily ranks as the best Biryani I’ve had in restaurants of Aachen. After this discovery, I visited the restaurant and ended up eating Biryani there for three consecutive days—it was fantastic each time.

When I tried the food here, it reminded me of my childhood holidays in Pakistan. I held my wedding reception here in the restaurant. My fiancé chose the restaurant and told me I would definitely like it! He was right! Me, my family and all the guests were very excited. My favorite was the Kabuli Palau but I also found the Qorma and the Biryani extremely tasty. The taste is authentic and super aromatic. Exactly what you imagine from Pakistani food! We were very accommodated and the people at the restaurant are extremely nice. At my wedding reception they took great care of my guests and also provided vegetarian options upon request.

I tried six different dishes in one hour and every dish was special in its own way. I had my wedding celebration here at the restaurant. My guests involved, Pakistani, German-Pakistani, Italian, Russian and German people. The food here was so good that people ordered extra than what was planned. I wish I could give this restaurant 10 stars. I was really impressed by the original taste and how me and my guests were treated by people at the restaurant. Kabuli pulao was the most beloved dish. I got to know that this is made in original afgani style by a special chief. Biryani here reminded me of Karachi. All and all, I am an extremely satisfied customer. I was unable to find this taste in Munich. I can totally recommend this restaurant to have a feel of Desi or Afghani food here being in Germany.

One of the best staff with great food. Kabuli Pulao is very recommended specially with the sauce. If you can handle a little traditional spices, go for the Biryani as well.

Absolute fail. We ordered kabab and fries. We had to wait almost 40 minutes (!) and then had the food packed up because we had to move on. We opened it on the way and it was just super sad. 1. The fries were soft and without salt 2. The kabab were totally burnt and tasteless 3. There was no sauce whatsoever 4. The so-called "Naan" was simply cold lavash bread from the supermarket 5. Of course you didn't pack any napkins or anything similar. Super bad experience

Desi Dhaba is a great find for anyone missing real Pakistani food in Germany.. After moving here from Pakistan last year, I tried biryani at many places but never found the authentic taste I was looking for. And honestly, I didn’t expect much when I went to Desi Dhaba during my short visit in Aachen, but their biryani was a pleasant surprise.. everything was spot on.. Desi Dhaba is a must try. Highly recommended for all biryani lovers

The food is freshly prepared and very delicious. The stuffs were super nice and restaurant has a nice atmosphere. We tried mixed pakora ,biriyani, chicken tikka platter with rice and chai. All of them were good.

The dishes were really very good! And the staff very friendly. If you want to eat authentic and fairly healthy food, it's worth coming through the door! The +: the very cozy decor with small traditional touches.

The chicken tikka wrap was fantastic, I tried it 4 times but they never dosappointed me with the taste, it remained exactly the same. Further, biryani had the authentic pakistani taste, and personally I loved the food overall. And the best thing is that they also have vegetarian dishes. I would highly recommend Desi Dhaba Restaurant.

Chicken tikka wrap was just beyond my expectations, authentic taste of Biryani and Qorma

- The food took too long to arrive, but really like 1-2 hours ors. - They got our order wrong twice - Look, I don't know if you liked it, but we, my family and I, really didn't like it and it really wasn't worth €150, really.

We had to wait for 30 mins eventhough only one more table was to be served. Its understood that some dishes take time, please inform your customers the expected waiting time when the dishes might be time consuming or you have other orders to fulfill. Loved the chicken tikka , and to be frank it was well prepared and matched the taste back home. Appreciate the effort to coal grill it and maintain the right texture and taste. Can't say the same for the chicken korma though. Thanks for the warm and friendly reception :)
