I love it ❣️ I come back again and again, and every time I'm there, I enjoy it. Whatever you can't finish, you can take home. A doggy bag doesn't really fit the experience, but you can't let such delicious food go to waste 🤪. This hidden gem is very popular, though. Reservations are absolutely necessary!

We were thrilled! We called at short notice during the Christmas season, and they actually managed to get us a table for six. They even rearranged our reservation time at the last minute. The food was absolutely delicious, both the pizza and the pasta. The service was incredibly attentive. The restaurant is cozy, a bit noisy at times, but you can still have a conversation. We highly recommend it and would definitely visit again.

Attentive staff, delicious pizza.

A rather negative experience: At the door, the pseudo-Italian waiter hinted that two people without reservations were making his life difficult. His arrogance at least gave us hope that the food might be particularly good. Unfortunately, what arrived was a small, meager, and inappropriately topped pizza with a cookie-like dough. It reminded me of a Dr. Oetker frozen pizza that I, as a student, always chopped for five minutes too long – only less flavorful. (Some guests suggested it was made with pre-made dough.) Yet it cost the price of the best pizza in Berlin. Inside the restaurant, the staff and friends of the establishment engaged in sycophantic small talk and "welcome, my dear." The local "good society" seemed to be there to show off. The whole thing came across like a poorly staged, small-town German Italian restaurant. The four-star rating is a mystery to us.

Keep your hands off the mussels! After visiting the restaurant on Wednesday, I got severe stomach pain. I vomited during the night. The next day, I also had stomach pain and felt nauseous. The mussels don't seem to be fresh, or there's a lack of hygiene in the kitchen. I reported this to the owner, but unfortunately, I didn't receive a response.

We were guests in Schwerin and found this cozy Italian restaurant online. Booking by phone is a good idea, especially during peak hours. There were two of us and we had a very nice table by the window, opposite the bar. The server added a main course at our request, which was no problem at all, and we were very grateful for his recommendation. All the staff here are very friendly and are always happy to chat to make your experience as pleasant as possible. We really enjoyed our meal here and enjoyed it. If we're ever in Schwerin again, we'd be happy to come back for dinner. We'd be happy to recommend you. 👌⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👌

We were thrilled. Great service, dog-friendly, and the food was perfect. The bruschetta and garlic bread, as well as four different pasta dishes, were excellent. Special requests were also kindly accommodated. And there was delicious limoncello, too :)

We went to this restaurant with our children. The children had tagliatelle Bolognese, and we had tomato soup and lasagna. Everything was delicious. The pizza's crust was very reminiscent of a typical convenience store pizza—unfortunately, it had little to do with a fluffy Italian pizza. The pizza was also identical in size to a convenience store pizza and therefore a bit small overall, which doesn't justify the price. Service was very friendly and good, although the wait times were a bit long overall.

Absolutely not recommended! There are two pizza sizes on the menu: small and regular. But there's no indication of the dimensions in centimeters! The small Pizza Speciale for €11.90 is a joke! It's less than 24 cm, the base is much too hard, and the taste is average at best. When asked why there's no indication of the dimensions in centimeters on the menu and pointed out that the size is a joke for €12, the rude reply was "we're the cheapest pizza in Schwerin." That sentence says it all... never again.

We had two Parma/Arugula pizzas here. Unfortunately, the pizza tasted almost exclusively of balsamic vinegar smothered over the cheese. After the server asked us if we enjoyed our food, we both said so. Unfortunately, she wasn't interested at all 😡 So why ask? It's just a cliché? Then there's no need to ask! They could have simply said, "Okay, I'll pass it on to the kitchen." What a shame.

We had Schwerin on our itinerary that day and stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, whose outdoor area was quite busy at lunchtime. We decided to stop by in the afternoon and were seated at a table for two without a reservation. The drinks we ordered (Coke Zero, apple spritzer) arrived very quickly. The "large" spicy Pizza Speziale for €16.90 arrived, along with the Penne all Arabiata for €12.90, after about 30 minutes. While the penne was hot and quite spicy, so the portion was okay, the pizza was a real eye-opener. They used a ready-made dough, and the pepper pieces on the pizza were very reminiscent of Dr. Oetker. The size for the price was an absolute joke (see photo, smaller than a normal plate)! Our table neighbors' little daughter had also ordered a pizza (small). It had the same shape as ours, but smaller. So clearly not an isolated incident! Someone also mentioned this fact (ready-made pizza base) in a previous review. Really sad, we weren't expecting something like this here. It only happened to us once in Berlin, at an "Italian restaurant" run by Indians. Conclusion: Anyone expecting a real Italian (stone-baked) pizza will be extremely disappointed and even appalled here.

A very nice Italian restaurant in a beautiful downtown location. Very friendly service, child-friendly, and delicious food. A wonderful ambiance and tastefully decorated. You can smell it as soon as you walk in that the food is good. We'll be back!

If I could give a 0 rating I would have. The pizza was store bought pizza they heated up in the oven and the pasta was overcooked. The salami gave a bitter aftertaste. Don't go here.

We took a day trip to Schwerin today to visit the castle. Afterward, we were hungry for something Italian. We didn't wait long for our order; everything tasted delicious, and the portions were generous. We would come back again :) P.S.: The waiters are very child-friendly. Thumbs up.

The restaurant is very popular, so I had high expectations – unfortunately, the food was only average. The starter was okay: good ham, cheese too, but the soft blue cheese and butter didn't seem very Italian. A plus point for the warm bread made from pizza dough. The Quattro Formaggi pizza was disappointing – the sauce was not very flavorful, the cheese was bland, and the dough looked like it was made from a chain. The minestrone soup was also good. The entrecôte steak, on the other hand, was very good, cooked perfectly medium-rare. However, the side dishes (dry lettuce leaves with an earthy aftertaste, as if they hadn't been washed, raw mushrooms, and corn) spoiled the overall impression – a little arugula and some tomatoes with olive oil would have been perfectly sufficient. I would especially like to emphasize the truly friendly service.

Unfortunately, it wasn't good. The pizza was regular, about as small as a children's pizza. At almost €16, it was completely overpriced. I've had much better taste. I ordered a pizza without onions. My guests already had their food. My pizza arrived about 10 minutes later, and there were still onion remnants under the topping. That's completely unacceptable. If it's wrong, please make it again, but apparently peeling the onions off the pizza afterwards isn't acceptable. Absolutely not. We certainly won't be doing it again.

Current review from July 7, 2025: During our one-week vacation in Schwerin, we once again visited Mariellas, a restaurant we remember fondly. Once again, it was a delight: first-class service and delicious food. The restaurant was very busy, and it was almost impossible to get a seat without a reservation. However, it also seemed that people had made reservations and then didn't show up on time or didn't show up at all. But that's a widespread annoyance, which unfortunately leads to some restaurants filing claims for compensation (we live in a vacation region ourselves!). My wife opted for penne with chicken breast, broccoli, sauce, and Parmesan cheese, while I opted for a standard-sized (28cm) pizza special. Our food arrived a good half hour after ordering, and our expectations were met to our complete satisfaction. The finale was a Ramazotti, served at the chef's invitation. The restaurant could be bigger; it's already quite cozy, but in good weather, there's at least outdoor seating. The value for money is still good here, and we can wholeheartedly recommend Mariella's. Everything else remains unchanged from my 2022 review. Review from 2022: This was top-notch. Very friendly, attentive service; even though we didn't have a reservation and the restaurant was very busy, we (two people) were given a seat near the entrance. When a table in the back became available shortly afterwards, we were able to move there. We opted for spaghetti frutti di mare with parmesan and a pizza speciale with extra garlic (31cm). Both were very tasty, although the parmesan topping on the spaghetti was very generous and absorbed a lot of the sauce, which didn't detract from the quality or flavor. The pizza had a good topping, crispy baked, and a thin crust! I was skeptical about the size at first, as I was extremely hungry, but I was well-satiated in the end. The restrooms were exemplary, super clean, spacious, and well-stocked with toiletries, although there was only one room for men and one for women. However, during peak times, the restrooms were used alternately... at least by the women. All in all: a top-notch Italian restaurant and worth a visit.

Even though we arrived relatively late and there were eight of us, we were welcomed, given a table at the bar, and served excellent food. The value for money was very good.

A small and truly cozy Italian restaurant. There were two of us and we hadn't reserved a table. The waiter was super friendly, welcomed us in, took our wet umbrellas, and escorted us to our table. I had a bouquet of flowers with me - and they promptly gave me a vase of water. We ordered two small pizzas. You're not just rushed off here. We were able to chat in a relaxed atmosphere until our order arrived. We really enjoyed our food. The service is fantastic. It wasn't our first time, and it won't be the last 😊

We urgently needed a walk-in restroom with a wheelchair user, for a fee, of course. There was nothing we could do; according to the waiter, the manager wouldn't allow it. Thank you for your Italian hospitality! I can't comment on the food, and we'll never see the restaurant again.

The menu reads well. Prices also seem reasonable. The service is very friendly. We just wanted a quick nightcap. Since it wasn't that warm anymore, we didn't want cocktails with all that ice. We ordered a Baileys coffee and an Irish coffee. What came out surprised us a bit. Not only the mini size, but also the taste of the Irish coffee. It was more like an espresso with whiskey. The taste was torture. My husband couldn't finish this mini sip. My Baileys coffee tasted okay. However, the cup size was probably the smallest you can get on the market. Very disappointing.

Service was fast and attentive, and there was a good selection of food and drinks. I had the large Frutti di Mare pizza, which was very flavorful, almost mineral-like. Prices are a bit high in my opinion, but maybe I'm just spoiled from the village.

The usher, using Turkish street slang, was noticeably more aggressive than friendly when we were seated. We didn't feel welcome, but the waitress was much friendlier. The pizzas arrived very quickly; the Magherita children's pizza was covered in massive amounts of cheese, far too much. The children didn't like it. Separating the tomato sauce for the pasta wasn't possible either; the chef didn't have time for that, was the response. Apparently, the food had already been prepared sometime earlier in the day and was therefore ready. One hopes the pizzas hadn't been sitting around all day. The ambiance was very good, though. Given the mediocre food and the usher, I wouldn't recommend it again.

Very friendly and fast service, the food was also excellent and arrived quickly. We came spontaneously without a reservation, and a table was saved for us, although it was only available for a limited time because the table was already taken. This wasn't a problem due to the fast service, and we didn't feel stressed at all. The only downside to the ambiance is that the place is very small and cramped, meaning you sit very close to strangers.

Unfortunately this place was disappointing in multiple dimensions. First and foremost the food was disappointing. We ordered a pasta dish and a pizza. The pasta was overcooked and practically mush. The pizza was mediocre and overpriced - the dough in the middle was not cooked through. What made it all the worse is the wait for the food. We waited almost an hour. After thirty minutes we checked with the waiter and he simply answered that the restaurant was full. However, a table seated after us already received their food. When asked, the waiter said it was “cold dishes” when one was clearly eating cooked pasta. In the end, we had to ask 3 times to finally get our food. Wishes we had not set foot in there to begin with.

I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but our recent visit to this restaurant was truly disappointing. From the moment we walked in, the manager who took our order was rude and dismissive. Even my 9-year-old child picked up on the attitude and felt uncomfortable, which says a lot about how poor the interaction was. To make things worse, the food was served lukewarm and lacked flavor entirely. We were really looking forward to a good meal, but unfortunately, the quality and service left us disappointed.

We ate the best seafood pizza we've ever had! (... and we have gained taste experiences in many state capitals in Germany....) Very well documented and without any after-effects!!! We were there the day before, around 5pm, just to have a drink, it wasn't a problem either. The service was very good, friendly and made everything possible for all guests. Highly recommended!!!
