Mariella’s Pizzeria & Ristorante in Schwerin

Service was fast and attentive, and there was a good selection of food and drinks. I had the large Frutti di Mare pizza, which was very flavorful, almost mineral-like. Prices are a bit high in my opinion, but maybe I'm just spoiled from the village.

The usher, using Turkish street slang, was noticeably more aggressive than friendly when we were seated. We didn't feel welcome, but the waitress was much friendlier. The pizzas arrived very quickly; the Magherita children's pizza was covered in massive amounts of cheese, far too much. The children didn't like it. Separating the tomato sauce for the pasta wasn't possible either; the chef didn't have time for that, was the response. Apparently, the food had already been prepared sometime earlier in the day and was therefore ready. One hopes the pizzas hadn't been sitting around all day. The ambiance was very good, though. Given the mediocre food and the usher, I wouldn't recommend it again.

Very friendly and fast service, the food was also excellent and arrived quickly. We came spontaneously without a reservation, and a table was saved for us, although it was only available for a limited time because the table was already taken. This wasn't a problem due to the fast service, and we didn't feel stressed at all. The only downside to the ambiance is that the place is very small and cramped, meaning you sit very close to strangers.

Unfortunately this place was disappointing in multiple dimensions. First and foremost the food was disappointing. We ordered a pasta dish and a pizza. The pasta was overcooked and practically mush. The pizza was mediocre and overpriced - the dough in the middle was not cooked through. What made it all the worse is the wait for the food. We waited almost an hour. After thirty minutes we checked with the waiter and he simply answered that the restaurant was full. However, a table seated after us already received their food. When asked, the waiter said it was “cold dishes” when one was clearly eating cooked pasta. In the end, we had to ask 3 times to finally get our food. Wishes we had not set foot in there to begin with.

Unfortunately the pasta was overcooked and the pizza was quite small. Unfortunately, the service was unfriendly and extremely slow - we had to wait over an hour for our food. Overall disappointing. Too bad.

I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but our recent visit to this restaurant was truly disappointing. From the moment we walked in, the manager who took our order was rude and dismissive. Even my 9-year-old child picked up on the attitude and felt uncomfortable, which says a lot about how poor the interaction was. To make things worse, the food was served lukewarm and lacked flavor entirely. We were really looking forward to a good meal, but unfortunately, the quality and service left us disappointed.

We ate the best seafood pizza we've ever had! (... and we have gained taste experiences in many state capitals in Germany....) Very well documented and without any after-effects!!! We were there the day before, around 5pm, just to have a drink, it wasn't a problem either. The service was very good, friendly and made everything possible for all guests. Highly recommended!!!

The small pizzas were absolutely sufficient and delicious for a small hunger. Hawaii and Funghi The noodles were also hot for a long time, fresh ingredients and totally delicious. Cheap food, unfortunately we didn't like it. The noodles were overcooked and not very tasty. The restaurant is apparently very popular with Schwerin residents, as there are many regular guests who were personally greeted by the waiter.

Reserved a table at 7:30 p.m. and got there on time: Waiter's statement 5-10 minutes the table is not yet free???? After 10 minutes of waiting in the cold there was still no movement. Left without a word, a shame because the ambience and pasta are good, but good service is important. That was my last visit.

I ordered a Mariella pizza from this restaurant. As soon as this was served to me, I immediately asked whether it was my order. The pizza was small and looked like a pizza margherita. It was tasty, but I wasn't full. I also told the waitress that the food was very manageable. Unfortunately there was no response!! If I leave an Italian restaurant and immediately go looking for food, something has gone wrong, right? The price of 13.90 euros made me rather annoyed. The price/performance ratio is not right for me here. In every Italian restaurant you get bread with ajoli, herb butter or similar... not here!

When you leave an Italian restaurant hungry after a supposedly large pizza and the first thought; From my point of view, something is wrong with what I'm eating now. When we asked, we were told that it was a large pizza. 🤔.

We can't judge the food, after waiting more than 45 minutes for two pizzas we are greeted by very unfriendly people. Remarks from the service employee accompanied, left. No tip, no recommendation. Guests are parked at tiny tables, waiting forever for drinks and food. That will not do. Completely overwhelmed staff. As a guest, I don't want to be treated so rudely.

Italian way of life, celebrated in Schwerin city center. Delicious and authentic. Hospitality is very important here. Dedicated people offer good food. Minimal deductions for long waits and not always all the ingredients available (no lemon left), otherwise we look forward to a next visit.

As we all know, tastes differ greatly. However, if the oil can run out of my spaghetti plate because it's swimming in it, it's not a good Italian meal. Yes, olive oil is needed in Pesto. But not a liter. That's not the tragic thing. Tastes are just different. I didn't complain or say anything. I simply didn't eat it and said it didn't taste good. For me, the matter was settled. But to be told three times by the waiter that I had ordered the wrong thing and it wasn't his fault – that's just plain rude. I didn't order anything wrong; the chef simply can't make pesto.

I got a seat even without a reservation. Plus point. The pizza was delicious and overall I liked it. Negative: the parking spaces, you have to park a little further out, there are only residents' parking spaces around.

Mariellas is in no way inferior to its reputation! Even the little things were treated with the utmost professionalism. What was particularly nice for me was the large number of vegetarian dishes available. Thank you very much for the great evening and see you next time! By the way, the prices are surprisingly cheaper than the other restaurants in Schwerin, respect for that!

Recommendation? No, not really. At lunchtime there is a man with three dogs at the next table who is just ordering the next beer. Not well attended for lunchtime. Small four season pizza, the best part was the crust. Ham quite dry, salami of the same quality as a discounter pork product, mushrooms a bit dark but still ok; The artichoke was the bright spot. No other toppings like olives or anchovies. Rather simple. (I took a comparison photo from the reviews)

Homely atmosphere with very good food, we like to come here again and again .

I was visiting yesterday. After we were almost finished, I put my cutlery together and asked the waiter to leave my plate as I wanted to finish. The waiter leaned over my table, grabbed my cutlery and laid it out - that's etiquette. When I told him quietly that I didn't like it when people touched my plate, he didn't understand my point and pointed out to me again that "you" shouldn't put your cutlery together. The worst thing: after paying, I calmly approached the waiter and tried to explain to him privately why I find it rude and invasive to reach for my plate and carry out educational measures on the customer. He shouted at me that I “should be grateful that I even got a table” - mind you: our table served, among other things, as a cloakroom for the staff - and banned me from the house after accusing me of “eating like a child”. Treating guests like this and approaching women verbally and aggressively is unacceptable.

We enjoyed two “normal” size pizzas, which here means almost 28cm. Well-baked edge, almost 2 wide. Pizza Broccoli and Pizza Diavola were very good. The desire for extra spiciness was perfectly fulfilled with plenty of chili on the Diavola. Chili oil was also placed on the table. When we ordered at peak time after 7 p.m. on a Thursday, we waited 35 minutes. Based on our experience from previous visits, we had reserved seats in good time. Staff friendly. Toilets clean. When we are back in Schwerin, we would love to eat there again!

We (couple with a dog) first had a great place, a little out of the way with a small bench where our little dog could lie comfortably without being in the way. When another 3 guests arrived after 25 minutes, we were asked to sit at another table in the middle of the aisle. About 20cm to the neighboring table. We were lucky that the couple next door didn't have a problem with the dog because there wasn't much space there. This was generally a somewhat unfortunate solution. There was a bowl of water for the four-legged friend and a schnapps of our choice on the house as compensation for us. The food in general was super delicious!!! Nothing to complain about. The shrimps in garlic oil, as well as our main courses Hawaii pizza (small) and tagliatelle with salmon were A1!

Today was our first time at the pizzeria “Mariella’s Pizzeria & Ristorante” The impressions are twofold: clean, cozy, interesting interior. Waiters: rather strange service, they wanted to sit at a table, the waiter said no, they sat us at the next one. As long as we sat, no one sat down at that table; it was empty. Place of 3 serving plates, they brought out one, asked for 2 more (since there are three of us) another waiter brings out another plate, I ask for one more. He mocked. Don't people need portion plates? Only devices? The seafood pizza has mussels, a couple of shrimp and what surprised me were crab sticks 😁 and mustard instead of sauce, this is something new. (usually seafood pizza includes: shrimp, mussels, octopus, salmon) mustard made the pizza salty and sour. It wasn't tasty. The second pizza 🍕 the filling was divided into 2 pieces, that is, someone eats it with mushrooms, and someone with salami. Quite strange 😁

I have no idea where the good reviews come from. The pizza was usually small, the pasta with salmon was bland, the steak was no longer good and you had to look for the rabbit in the pasta with a magnifying glass. There used to be a snack bar here. The currywurst with fries was significantly better...

Very good Italian. Even though it was fully booked later in the evening, we got a table in advance, although there was a time when we had to be ready, but if you know that in advance it's ok and you can do it in two hours. The service staff is very friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is very cozy and comfortable. The food is simply delicious. We'll come back when we're back in Schwerin

It was a great end to a concert in the Schelfkirche. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Clean toilets, although a bit small. However, if, like me, you have a "men's problem" after cancer surgery, then there are simply no sanitary buckets. I'm definitely not the only man who has to deal with this problem. Dear staff invests 5 euros for a bucket and we get along even better.

We made reservations a week in advance for 6 people. On site, acquaintances of the head waiter without a table reservation were preferred to us and were given the table intended for us. We were then crammed together at a table that was much too small (we sat right next to the toilet). The head waiter contacted us a few more times and at the end seemed a bit annoyed at his own fault and promised us schnapps on the house We didn't see anything until we got home. Overall, the food was very tasty and the waiter who served us was very friendly and accommodating.

Although we were given a table for two in the middle of the small but cozy and well-equipped pizzeria, it wasn't as if we were sitting on a presentation plate. Delicious food and great service

We were there for lunch. For dinner we ordered tagliatelle with salmon and pizza Quattro stagioni. Both were very tasty. The pizza came in 2 sizes, small and regular. We had ordered 'normal', unfortunately it was only a maximum of 28 cm in diameter. The pizza didn't fill us up. We wouldn't order pizza there again. But what particularly annoyed us was the following: A woman came in and urgently asked to be allowed to use the toilet. She had also offered money for use. Their distress was clearly felt. However, the waiter complemented her and pointed out his sign saying 'no public toilets'. A little empathy and helpfulness would certainly have been appropriate. We have all been in such a situation before. This is not how we imagine a host. We will not visit the restaurant again.

Mariella's is a place that sticks in your memory like a good close-up shot. Comfortable seats? Like in a gangster's box, where you sit down with complete premeditation. Large, spacious tables - perfect for a game when wine flows like blood in the final scene. Italian music? Delicate, but with a claw, as if Ennio Morricone was whispering in your ear. Wine? Without mercy - it goes straight to the heart and never misses. Even waiting for a taxi was a pleasure. This gives you half an hour more to soak in the atmosphere before disappearing into the night.

Always worth a visit! No matter whether it's pizza, pasta or the ultra-tasty rack of lamb, I've never been disappointed here. The staff is attentive and very nice. Be sure to reserve a table. It's always full, especially on weekends.
