Selected good Italian cuisine. We sat next to the open kitchen and could watch the family preparing food. It was a pleasure to see how food is handled here. And the taste was special. A clear recommendation - without any compromises!

Very nicely located in the middle of the city center and sweet tables in the pedestrian zone. Super delicious fresh cuisine and great service. The limoncello spritz goes great with the good weather and with bruschetta with fresh tomatoes and rocket! A dream The pasta dishes prepared in the open kitchen are also absolutely worth the visit.

Lunch at Maria's, there were two of us, pasta with green asparagus, Parma ham and scampi. Everything freshly prepared and super delicious!! We also ordered a salt with homemade dressing and rhubarb spritzer. I felt like I was in Italy. Sit outside and watch the people. We had a nice chat with the owner and she bought us an espresso, which was also like in Italy. All in all, €68.00 is a bit much for a quick lunch break, but for the portions and the mega fresh quality, it's absolutely justified and we haven't regretted a cent. We will be back.

After exploring Schwerin all day, we ended up hungry and looking for a delicious dinner at A. Maria. We sat outside in the sun and waited 15 minutes for the opening. We received a very warm welcome and were immediately given delicious cool drinks. The Somersby Orange is highly recommended. The food, our spaghetti with prawns and chicken of course with garlic, was super tasty and, above all, cooked hot. We ate with appetite and there was even time for a conversation. We can only recommend A. Maria. Here the guest is still king and extra requests are taken into account. In short: polite, courteous, nice atmosphere and super tasty. Cozy atmosphere in the middle of Schwerin's old town. When the weather is nice, you can sit outside. The owner was very friendly, it was clean and tidy. The beef carpaccio was the best in a long time. Thank you, we'll be back😊

Was there for dinner with a work colleague for a business meeting. I had ordered seats via WhatsApp. We arrived and were supposed to sit outside as it was intended for us. However, we were not asked beforehand whether it would have been okay for us to sit outside. Since we needed a little quiet to talk, We asked for seats inside and then we were seated in the entrance area, which was like being at the train station. Well, you could have overlooked it if the food had been good. I had a dish that fell under the category of casseroles, although it was grilled vegetables with salmon and shrimp, served in aluminum foil (served very unsightly). Not only was the dish extremely expensive, the fish was completely overcooked, everything was absolutely bland and... In addition, the portion was so small that it could have just been served as a starter. The bread that was served with it was also completely bland and like it came from the supermarket. Then I went to the nearest kebab shop to satisfy my hunger. It's unbelievable that businesses like this can still survive in the catering industry. I won't go there again.

I don't know how to start this review. I know that these are now important for restaurateurs, but certain things need to be made clear. I was happy to eat here because I read "nice little Italian restaurant" in several reviews. I'll start like this: The food was good and looked good. The waitress was there, a few questions for clarification, then the question of whether everything tasted good (important!), but nothing more than that. When I see an Italian flag (and read about it), I actually expect a little more. Unfortunately no Italians. Maybe in the kitchen? (But I don't think so). If you want to eat something good, then what everyone says is true. The food was good. Is the food expensive? Yes (Lasagna 14.90). Drinks too (Aperol Spritz €8.50). Do I think it's appropriate? No. Even if the quality of the food is good, there must be limits. I actually wanted to try this restaurant. Do I have to come back? No. If you eat pasta and co. does not automatically mean that it is an Italian restaurant. This confusion makes me sad. But as I started the review, I don't know how to finish it. Is this good gastronomy? As someone who has worked in gastronomy for years (including real Italian gastronomy), I am disappointed by such realities. But maybe there is no alternative and if there is, such restaurants see as nice, good and tasty solutions. But is it really like that? In my opinion: no. But times have also changed. Can the new era of (non) “Italian” restaurateurs do something about it? Probably not. Are you allowed to cook, prepare and process pasta and everything Italian? Logical. But no one forced them to hang an Italian flag outside. The position of the restaurant is really good, but that has to do with the location. You either have it or you don't. I give it 3 stars because the food was good. For those who care, this is a good place. Not for me. Sorry.

Hidden little Italian restaurant in Schwerin's pedestrian zone. Absolutely fresh dishes and very well prepared. Very clean, friendly and accommodating. There are mostly various salads, pastas, starters and a bit of an Italian atmosphere. Food was good and very nicely prepared. Slightly higher price level but the quality is right. Gladly again.

Very nice location. Quality is great, quantity could be better. Overall a pleasant stay. We'll have to get used to the fairly high prices (5.90 for a piece of wheat???)...

Ich habe vorab recherchiert und bin auf dieses Restaurant aufmerksam geworden. Habe mir Spaghetti Carbonara bestellt. Das Gericht war schnell fertig und lecker. Das Personal sehr freundlich. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir waren mal wieder bei Maria & Artur was leckeres essen, es hat alles gestimmt und der Service vom gesamten Team ist super angenehm!Macht weiter so und wir kommen gerne wieder 🙃

Sehr leckere Spagetti und nette Bedienung

Bei der suche zum Mittagessen sind wir hier Zufällig vorbei gekommen. Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt und haben draußen Platz genommen. Die Karte ist übersichtlich und bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas. Wir haben alle Pasta gegessen. Verschiedene Sorten. Alles war echt super. Drinnen ist eine offene Küche und man kann alles beobachten. Wir hatten zwei Kinder dabei und uns wurde angeboten das eine Gericht für die kleinen auf zwei teller aufzuteilen. Sehr zuvorkommend. Mein Fazit. Auf jedenfall einen Besuch wert. 7/10

Klein und fein. Essen sehr ansprechend und lecker. War nach meinem Geschmack! Kann es nur weiterempfehlen!

Leckere Pasta. Köstliche Zitronentarte. Man sitzt draußen sehr gemütlich und entspannt.

To expensive, for the food that you get.

Eine kleine, feine, gemütliche Location mit familiärer Atmosphäre. Die Chefin Maria im Service ist sehr aufmerksam, mit sehr positiver Ausstrahlung im Umgang mit ihren Gästen und Artur mit Live-Cooking-Station, bereitet alles mit frischen Zutaten zu. Wir waren bereits mehrfach zum Essen & trinken dort und haben inzwischen von den Vorspeisen und den Hauptgerichten inkl. der Getränke unsere Favoriten (die Maria sich schon gut gemerkt hat ;-). Auch die wechselnden Nachspeisen "des Tages" sind zu empfehlen: süß, frisch & lecker. Wir lieben das "Gesamtpaket" und sind auch in Zukunft ganz sicher des öfteren im "A.Maria".

Wirklich nichts besonderes. Hatte Nudeln mit Tomaten-Weißweinsauce und Lachs. Der Lachs hatte keine gute Qualität, Weißwein hab ich nicht rausgeschmeckt, am Ende waren es Nudeln mit Tomatensoße und Lachs für 15,90€. Okay, aber halt nichts besonderes. Achso und ich erwarte halt schon frischen Parmesan bei Spaghetti beim Italiener. Zur Atmosphäre. Auch nicht besonders, ich wurde vor einem (ich glaube) Glühweinkocher gesetzt. Koch hat sich irgendwelche YT Videos reingezogen. Service. Ja, scheint beliebt bei Schwerinern zu sein, aber wenn man allein nach einem Arbeitstag essen geht wird man nicht besonders beachtet. Service kann auf "was willst du?" und "Karte oder Bar?" zusammenfassen.

Sehr freundlich und das Essen war sehr schmackhaft. Ich komme sehr gerne wieder.

Ein tolles gemütliches Restaurant mit einem herzlichen Team und total leckerem und frischem Essen. Hier passt einfach alles zusammen. Absolut ein Highlight in Schwerin und ein Geheimtipp.
